FIVE HOURS while I'm physically standing in the store. What made it worse? One employee said there were 4 online orders ahead of me, then another (who processed my refund) said 8. Which is it? 4? 8? 20? Why does that somehow equal a 5-hour wait for something that takes minutes? There was no one else waiting in-store, yet I was told online orders come first and my only option was a refund. So you'll take my money, but can't take 5 minutes to help an in-store customer? And to further elaborate, as the employee was processing my return, I asked just one more time if they really couldn't inflate my balloons while I was there and she said no that they have 8 online orders they have to do first. I ended the short conversation with "wow, okay." This is beyond poor service, it's disorganized and unacceptable. If this is your policy, it needs to be clearly communicated BEFORE customers waste their time shopping. I expect a response from management regarding this issue, because this experience was handled terribly from start to finish.

I took my leather cushions to get reupholstered, but…read morehis work was so sloppy and made my cushions look cheep, I could also tell that the thick cushions i had originally brought to his shop were switched out with some cheap material, when I brought it to his attention he was dismissive, rude and very upset about me insinuating that my cushions were switched, when i showed him the pictures that proved he had switched the cushions, he was even more upset and refused to give me my original cushions back even though I found them laying in his shop. He refused to give me any money back and told me he was going to sue me for the frustration I am causing him and slander. He charged me 650$ and now my couch looks worse than it did before. On top of loosing money I cant even reupholster the cheap cushions he gave me so I have to buy a new one. He insulted me and my intelligence by trying to tell me they were the same cushions even though they were sooo obviously different not only in size but firmness. I feel that because I am a woman he felt he could take advantage and in this case he really did. I hope that this will at least keep one person from making my mistake. He did end up giving me 340 back and my ripped up covers but not original cushions after I nagged and complained for about 30 minutes. I should have known there was something fishy when he asked me to pay only in cash. I just hope that if he swindles someone else they can handle it better than I did. I should have taken him to small claims court. But the BBB and consumer affairs will hear about this guy.

We discussed me bringing my parents ottoman in to get it recovered for Christmas. The next day my mom and I visited the shop, selected a fabric, and left the Ottoman. A few days later, I called to check on it, due to the holiday season he was having trouble getting the fabric in time for Christmas. So I made a quick stop over and together we found a new fabric that he would be able to get and have it completed be Christmas. The next day he finished that Ottoman and I was able to pick it up Christmas Eve to give it to my parents. It looks GORGEOUS, the price was fair and the workmanship is superb. I would use him again without hesitation.

The longer I waited, the less likely it seemed I'd ever get it done. One day, I found some motivation, and as soon as I had one exchange with Jan, I knew she was going to take care of my grandmother's chair with the care it deserved. She made finding fabric a breeze, and once I was on the schedule, it felt so quick. My understanding is that this business used to be much bigger and has since downsized as the owners work to semi-retire. Regardless of business size, the quality and care definitely seem to have stayed front and center of all they do. They did 3 separate chairs for me, and all came out better than I imagined. Oscar responded with clear and reasonable quotes and a 5-wk process time. sofas were picked up as scheduled. since we're trying to save some $ and matching the seat cushion, there were not too many choices of fabric to choose from. and It was hard/expensive to find trims that matched original design of the sofa. Oscar's staff explained and talked me into just doing simple piping along the base and around all the pillows. the day before delivery I called to confirm (I was really worried they won't make it for my party scheduled day after delivery), then again the morning of delivery and late afternoon. they finally delivered around 5pm on delivery day, 2hrs after their closing time. the sofas looked really nice and the simple piping actually enhanced the seat cushions. we really like it. Oscar was very responsive via text. the staffs were all very helpful throughout the process. I would have given them 5-stars if I didn't have to be so nervous the last 2 days worrying they wouldn't make it.
