What a find!!! Great mountain vibe and even better service. Rachel (Ranch) did a fantastic job as our server. She was attentive and accurate with our drink and lunch orders. This was a great stop on our way to Vail. Pork Green Chile and the Dam Good Red chili were a hit for several in our party of eight. I had the bison sausage and it was so good. Spicy from the jalapeños and served with sautéed onions and brown mustard. We also ordered several Dam wings for appetizers as well as fries for the table. The Dam wings were damn good. Smoked then fried, they were crispy outside and moist inside. The ranch dressing and blue cheese dressings were made "in house" and you could tell because they were both amazing!! The beer lager cheese dip was also delicious. It was served with corn chips. We probably should have ordered two because it was gone in a flash. Several in our group ordered Dam Good Beer! The American CREAM seemed to be a favorite. My husband ordered a growler of it to go! A couple of friends and I stopped here after a hike at Hanging Lake on the way home to Denver. We were hungry and just looked online for somewhere that served food and beer. We were not disappointed in the least. The beers are delicious and the food was delicious. One friend ordered a burger and he loved it. Our other friend ordered a sandwich, which she loved. I ordered nachos because I was in a nacho mood and nachos were on happy hour. Our server was super sweet and allowed us to order happy hour food from her instead of having to sit at the bar because it was a bit slower (about 3p on a Tuesday). We also ordered their smoked trout dip, which if you like fish, you'll like this. Let's talk about the nachos. So you get your nachos with the generic of cheese, tomatoes, sour cream and beans. I added green chile, ground beef, and guacamole. In my brain, nachos for appetizers and on the happy hour menu are usually a little smaller, which is enough for me as a meal. The nachos came out and it was like a mountain of everything. And it's not like they skimped on toppings where you had dry chips. Nope! It was like a whole bag of tortilla chips with mountains of toppings on top. I had to take it home in a huge pizza box and it looked like I didn't even eat anything. My boyfriend and I ate nachos for dinner and still had leftovers for another meal the next day. On top of the great food and beer, our server was just amazing and nice. Great vibes, good views, solid beers, decent food, what more can you ask for? This really is the spot in Dillon. Everyone was here, from families celebrating birthdays to friends catching up. I loved sitting outside and seeing a sliver of the mountains in the background. They have a wide variety of beers that have interesting flavors, although they were out of a few when we were there Tuesday night. I will say the sour was a little too sour without any other flavor, and the fries that came with the burger were kind of soggy, but otherwise everything was good. We had a miserable experience this evening at The Dillion Dam Brewery. We arrived for dinner and there was a bit of a wait, so we sat at the bar (several open seats) to grab a drink while we waited. The bartender, Mario, was a complete jerk to us and was trying to get us to move and rush us along as we sat down at the bar. He was very short and unprofessionally rude to my wife and family. It was not very busy at the bar and we ordered beer and a cocktail. We shortly (less than 5 minutes) got seated at a table and had a good meal but heavily overshadowed by the incredibly poor experience we had at the bar. We asked to speak to a manager as a result of our experience with Mario. After 10 minutes or so a guy showed up saying hi I'm (first name). He didn't identify himself as a manager or a member of the restaurant team, so we confused as to what he wanted. After several back and fourths, I finally asked what he wanted and he said he was the manager. We explained our poor experience with Mario and at the end we felt the manager really didn't care. Our server, who did a great job, felt bad for what we experienced with not only Mario, but the many, comped our desert. As a small business owner of many businesses current and in the past, I get the hardships we all are in dealing with covid. However, I won't stand for the poor and unprofessional service we received at The Dillion Dam Brewery tonight. Complete unprofessional and incompetent. I'd prefer to reduce service than to offer the service they offered tonight. I do wish the ownership takes this seriously and addresses this issue. We've had incredible service, food, and beer in the past but that unfortunately ended tonight. I'm happy to discuss my experience with the ownership if they choose to reach out to me, but as long as Mario is working there, we will not be back. read more

Loved that they opened up a portion of the upstairs for those of us waiting for a table as it was nice to sit down with a beer. Our beers felt just a bit skunky though - tried the Local Nector and not sure if that was supposed to be the flavor or if they were truly skunked. Very friendly service but the food was not great. I ordered the Mac and cheese and it was an absolutely gigantic portion (it would be ok to buy smaller bowls and serve a smaller portion - nobody needs that much.) it was supposed to have bacon and green onions, but the green onions in the dish were pale and had been cooked down so much that they were hard to chew and detracted from the dish more than enhanced it. The four cheese sauce had a slightly sour taste to it and just wasn't the comfort food I was hoping for. My son's pulled pork was the kind that was thick with sauce, thinly shredded, and a solid mass on the bun - just not super appetizing. The coleslaw wasn't flavorful at all. Happy they offered veggie burgers - there was one other vegetarian option that looked ok on the menu as well. It's busy, a bit loud, pretty crowded and if the rest of their beers were better I might consider it more for a happy hour type of stop before finding dinner elsewhere. read more

This is one of our favorite apres ski spots when we're in town, and we've been going here for years. Our "go to" spot whenever we want to grab a bite or drink outside of River Run Vill. Great atmosphere and nice selection of food and drinks. Service can sometimes be hit and miss, but this season we have been so lucky to have had Audrey L. as our server. Not only was Aubrey very attentive and constantly running around to tend to all of her guests (checking on us, making sure our glasses were always full), she was always so cheerful, polite, and friendly. She has a real knack for making all of her guests feel special, especially our 6 year old (which is quite refreshing, as many places treat children as a nuisance or afterthought). A real ray of sunshine. We will look for Aubrey from now on. 3.5-4 stars for the food but 5++++ STARS for the amazing service and hospitality from Aubrey!!! read more

The fire pits were nice and they used radio transmitters. They had T-shirts and they are worth it. Ordered margaritas and nothing above average. My wife had a bowl of chili with cheese and beans, and it was good. I ordered a custom burger with cheese, bacon, mustard medium rare and it was delivered medium. Very ordinary. We also ordered fries, corn dog, and onion rings. It was all very ordinary and average. So if you want a very average experience, I'd come here. We will probably try it again in the future, but not good enough to make a trip. read more

We came into town to visit the kids and got some breweries. They had stopped in a few times before but there was always a long wait. Tonight we came a little earlier, 7-ish, and walked right in. You can tell these guys have been brewing craft beer a long time. Everything we tried was good. The beer cheese dip and fries absolutely was divine and my husband's beef stew was a real winner! The Mac & Cheese was a little dry and bland IMHO, but palatable. My son got the black & blue burger and said was was fabulous. The place is really quite large, but was there on a Friday night and it was packed to the gills. Wait wasn't too bad (under 45 mins) but there wasn't really any good place to stand that you didn't feel like you were right in the way. All in all, worth eating and drinking here. read more

A good friend and I stopped in for lunch on our way out to Vernal, and I am sooo glad we did. This was an absolutely exquisite choice to break up our long drive from Denver. It was around 11:30AM or so on a Monday, and the dining and bar areas weren't too packed; there were scattered tables around the restaurant enjoying an early-ish lunch, but the atmosphere was fairly quiet and relaxed. My friend and I were immediately seated, and were put at a table in the back near the kitchen and entrance to the patio. Our waitress was super nice, and greeted us right away; it took us just a second to settle in, but we ordered a couple of beers after a minute or so, and proceeded to catch up with one another for a while. The beers were very refreshing; we both enjoyed our picks a lot! It took us a bit longer than we thought to focus our attention on the menu to decide what we were going to eat lol. Our waitress was accommodating, and it didn't seem like she was affected by how long we were taking (thank you!). I was starving and had a bit of a difficult time choosing my meal... there were soo many things on the menu that looked good! I ended up going with the enchilada burger, and substituted the beef patty for a chicken breast, and my friend ordered the Philly cheesesteak. Both meals came with fries. We proceeded to continue our conversation (lol), and it seemed like our food came out extremely fast! Maybe we were just lost in conversation, but it felt as though we had JUST ordered when our food came to the table. Mouths watering, we were excited to dig in. Everything looked super yummy, super fresh, and super ready to be devoured! The plates were piping hot, and everything smelled delicious! My meal was HUGE, and to even attempt to eat it, I had to cut it in half. It came with a couple of toppings, and they paired pretty well with the sandwich, but I added hot sauce after the first few bites (which were yummy as is!) to kick things up a notch lol. I'm a fiend for spicy foods, I must admit. My friend loved her meal, too, but didn't add anything extra to hers. Before we knew it, both of our plates were empty... how in the world did that happen...? Just kidding. Small portions of thin fries with a sand-which for $25. Dinner menu is a little better. I felt bad for the wait/service staff as they seemed frazzled and unable to even fix the issues. Fries tasted sweet. Caesar salad dressing does not go with Wings Did not receive two of our ordered items and they seemed like fixing it was not possible. Automatically charged a 20% gratuity which was NOT deserved. Not impressed at all. The service was pretty bad. Our waiter took our beer order and then disappeared for 10 minutes. Our food was delivered and we had to ask about the drinks. My husband asked for a taste of two beers to decide. Instead he was given four oz pours for which we were charged. When we told our waiter, he was like, "Yeah, I know. I can't believe those pours are $3.50 a piece too." We clarified that my husband had asked for tasters, not small pours and the waiter should have clarified that with us. It's a brewery! Breweries give tasters to decide between beers! The waiter did take the two tasters off, but brought the menu over and said to my husband, "I don't mean to be a dick, but it says they are $3.50 right there." Like what? It was not an enjoyable experience because of the waiter we had. Wouldn't choose to eat or drink here again. read more

We went here primarily to watch a college bowl game. If we couldn't watch the game we'd go somewhere else. So, to that end, we asked about being able to see the game when we checked in with the host - no problem they told us. Eventually (25 mins later) we were seated and asked if they could tune the nearest TV to the game. They said we had to work with our waitress. Ok, no problem. Waitress came by and we asked her if the channel could be changed. She asked us the game and channel and said no problem, she would let the bartender know, because they controlled the televisions. The waitress came by again maybe 10 mins later and asked if we wanted to order. I explained the channel had not been changed and the game has already started. I still haven't ordered anything and don't intend to until I know I can watch the game. She asks the channel again and goes to ask the bartender to change again. The table next to us also wanted to watch the same game. After observing the bartenders make no attempt to tune the channel they go up to the bar and ask if the channel can be changed. The scruffy bartender with the grungy ponytail acting put out says "when I get a minute". Undertone of you're not important to me. Waitress comes back to me again and asks if we're ready to order. Unfortunately, no, I'm still not sure I'm going to be able to watch the game. The waitress was amazingly patient and went to check on the status of the game again. She was resourceful and found a more accommodating bartender to change the channel. Halfway through the second quarter, said bartender changes the channel on us. I walked up and explain that the channel on our TV changed and we were watching a game. "It wasn't me", he says. I say I just need it changed back, so we can continue watching the game. Again, he acts like I'm a complete burden to him. He'll take care of it when he gets done with the more important things that he's doing. This scruffy, ratty ponytail bartender needs to be retrained on customer service skills. We were more than patient only to be met with unwarranted disdain. The Dillon Dam Brewery is one of our favorite spots to stop when driving up to the mountains when we visit from Georgia. We always enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the brew. Today, we brought along someone who had never experienced the brewery before and we all enjoyed the experience. We were able to sit outsdie, which we all loved before each ordering a beer from the tap that hit the spot! It was pretty warm out and we had been traveling for a while. In addition, we got the burrata appetizer with pesto and tomatoes. It was OUTSTANDING. We ate every bite and sopped up anything left with bread. Our entrees included the turkey bacon wrap, the chicken Caesar wrap, and the grilled chicken sandwhich. Each of them was served with fries and tasted fresh and delicious. Sadly, we were so hungry, we didn't take any photos! Lauren was our server and she was outstanding, making sure we had what we needed. Husband ordered a beer & burger with fries. Wrong beer came. Long wait to be corrected. Fries came seasoned with cinnamon sugar(?). When someone someone stopped by to ask if everything was OK we asked if this seasoning was normal and the gentleman said he had no idea, acknowledged that seemed odd but did not seem to care. Ketchup requested never came. My husband had to go hunt down a manager to get. I ordered nachos with chili. Came w/o chili. Cheese had been melted but must have sat for a while waiting on the burger as it was starting to get hard by the time they were delivered.
