This is more like a cozy family restaurant than a saloon or bar. Dimly light and super cozy, wood vibes very welcoming. Safe to say I feel it's an iconic solid farm to table kinda place that uses local game in standard dishes. I had Elk Stroganoff and hubby had bison rib eye. Didn't taste games whatsoever, delicious well prepared. Highly recommend and even the locals go there often not just a tourist trap. The exterior has seating area with fireplace for cocktails if you're dressed for the weather.

Hometown bar feel in a touristy area. Quick bite and beer on a Wednesday was great. Sat a bar with a friend and had wings and a PBR. Good crowd, cool vibe, delicious beer and wings were pretty good too. Wasn't thinking of review this place so I ate before taking pics with but it deserved a shoutout.

Blue Stag Saloon sits smack dab in the heart of Breckenridge's Main Street. It used to operate as a former watering hole and now functions as one of Colorado's quintessential mountain lodge gastropubs. We were perusing Main Street and ended up being hungrier than we anticipated. There are a few places in Breck I really enjoy frequenting, but I was in the mood for something new. We had stumbled by Blue Stag numerous times and it felt like we should give it the ol' college try. It was a beautiful weekday afternoon with our out-of-town family. In fact, it was our first outing with our newborn; stroller and all! Blue Stag embodies the mountain vibes with wood panels and ceilings and a big tap list of Colorado beers. The menu is large and varied, but there doing something right. BUFFALO CHICKEN RANCH PIZZA ($20.85) // Shredded Chicken, Chopped Bacon, Ranch Base, Red Onion, Mozzarella, Buffalo Drizzle. Full of flavor. Well seasoned, crisp crust from the wood fired oven, and that classic buffalo taste we all know and love. I couldn't believe a place like this produced such a great tasting pizza! Blue Stag also boasts a front and back patio, in addition to a good sized dining room with multiple rooms and some bar seats. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you'll be sure to find something worthwhile at Blue Stag.

The mushroom and swiss burger came with a Beyond meat Patty, mushrooms and aioli sauce. It was perfect! The sweet potato fries on the side were yummy! Chocolate cake was super moist! They have a great outdoor area with a fireplace and can accommodate bigger groups

They allow dogs on the patio so we sat in a shaded area (they have lots of umbrellas), since it was a hot one. We got a chicken Caesar wrap and the tacos. Both were flavorful and delicious. The only issue was the French fries were extremely salty. The staff was nice and service was good but it isn't a place you're getting exceptional anything. Nice place to stop for lunch and cool off in the summer heat.

The food, the cocktails, the service, this place is amazing! I had the bison chili and the kickin chicken and wow! What a great combo! The chicken sandwich is the perfect mix between sweet and spicy and the chili has a great kick to it. And the cocktails actually have alcohol in them not like most places!! Amazing!

Perhaps one of the best Main Street patios in Breck. Plus the stroganoff with elk is a MUST!!

Walking in on a cold February day, the mood and ambiance were warm and inviting. The downstairs bar was lively, and the wood ceiling and decor definitely gave off a classic aged lodge feel. We were seated upstairs per our Yelp reservations. A collection of canteens hung on the wall, which sparked a fun conversation and history lesson for my twins. Since they're part of the CamelBak and Stanley cup generation, they hadn't seen anything like them before. My son was impressed by the size of the kids' burger, and the fries were great. The rest of us had the NY Strip. I'd say it was good, but not great--though I did appreciate the blackened seasoning and the chimichurri. The grilled asparagus, however, was simply fantastic. The showstopper was the upside-down apple pie with what seemed to be homemade vanilla ice cream. Both were generous portions and kindly comped by our server for my birthday. I ordered my standard Ranch Water, though it unfortunately didn't come in their traditional canteen cup. Overall, it's a great spot. I look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Colorado.

When we arrived, there was a medical situation with a guest, and an ambulance came to assist. Obviously, that takes priority, and we were patient and understanding. However, after the situation cleared, we continued waiting another 20 minutes. During that time, several groups who arrived after us were seated first. When I politely asked the host about our status, I was told those groups were seated because they were smaller parties. That didn't appear to be accurate, and when I mentioned that, the response quickly became rude and dismissive. At that point, we decided there was no reason to stay and left for dinner elsewhere. The next day, we ate at Tin Plate Pizza--fantastic food and excellent service. Ironically, while walking past Bird and Cow afterward, we noticed their kitchen area through an open back door, and it did not appear clean or well-kept. In hindsight, we're glad things worked out the way they did--but overall, this was a frustrating experience driven by inaccurate wait times and poor customer service.

***TREVOR NEEDS A RAISE***…read more I had an awesome experience at Breckenridge Tap House. Right when we walked in the whole place just had a super relaxed vibe. There was no wait at all, which is pretty rare in Breckenridge, especially during ski season. We got seated right away and everything felt easy from the start. It was the kind of place where you can just kick back after a day on the mountain and grab some good food. Our waiter Trevor was an absolute chiller. Seriously one of the most laid-back and friendly servers I've had in a while. He came over right away, brought us waters, and just had a super good attitude the whole time. Instead of rushing through everything like some places do, he actually talked with us and made the whole experience feel way more personal. One thing we really appreciated was how cool he was about the menu. My son wanted to order off the kids menu and Trevor had no issue with it at all. He didn't make it weird or complicated, he just said no problem and took the order. Little things like that go a long way and made the whole meal way smoother. The food also came out really fast and everything we got was solid. Trevor kept checking in at the perfect times and made sure our waters stayed full without being annoying about it. He also talked with us about skiing and the conditions around Breckenridge, which was cool because we had just been out on the mountain. It felt like talking to someone who actually enjoys the town and the people coming through. The best part was honestly after we left. We accidentally forgot something at the table and didn't realize until we were already outside. When we came back, Trevor was literally waiting with it ready to give it back to us. That kind of thing doesn't happen everywhere. Overall the service was great, the food came out fast, and Trevor was an absolute chiller the entire time. I'd definitely come back here again.

The service was very quick and friendly, and I was honestly surprised by the speed as we stopped in on a very busy Saturday afternoon. Was greeted promptly upon entering and directed to the bar to place a to go order. I had limited time because had to catch a bus. The ambiance was fun with TV screens around to watch various sporting events. I was watching A&M get beat by Miami while waiting for my food order to be prepared. They have the silver brewery tanks where they brew their beer on site behind the bar area. They had a bunch of unique brews but I am not a beer person. I found a seat at the bar and the bartender came to take my order. I mentioned that I was on a time crunch with having to catch the bus in approximately 35 minutes and just wanted to check to see if the kitchen could accommodate my schedule. I was a bit taken aback when he responded that he couldn't guarantee anything and the electricity could go out.... So I was going to pass on ordering, but then he said we better get my order in then. So I put in an order for fish and chips. Then he said the kitchen should not have a problem accommodating that time window. He brought me some water and I enjoyed watching the football game while I waited for my to-go order. The food was ready in plenty of time for me to make it to the bus stop. It was packed nicely and came in a paper bag. I was able to enjoy it at the bus stop. Fish and Chips with Avalanche Ale battered white fish, fries, tartar. The fish has a nice batter but was a bit bland and could have used more salt or other seasoning. It really needed the tartar sauce to complete the flavor profile. The fries were light and crispy. Overall the food was what I would expect from a brewery. Nice place to go in breck to enjoy beer and food while watching a sporting event.
