We heard some people mention Montezuma at our condominium pool. We had to try it and it didn't disappoint. This place is set right in the center of River Run Village with a classy vibe and friendly service. The host asked us where we would like to sit and accommodated our wishes immediately, our waitress was sweet, informative and very attentive. The food was so delicious and an excellent helping. We had the Buffalo chicken sandwich with homemade Ranch Chips as well as "The Jam" burger. This is definitely one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Very unique with the Apple jelly, applewood bacon and juicy meat. Try this restaurant out if you visit the Keystone area.

I really don't like giving reviews like this but it has to be done. On our first night in Keystone, we stopped by Montezuma Roadhouse for dinner. One of the perks of this restaurant is that it's open late by Keystone standards. It's a little hard to find because it's tucked away but we found street parking close by and then walked over. The restaurant also looks great with a nice cabin feel. It's a large restaurant with plenty of seating and space. After ordering a beer, I went with their burger and fries. The burger itself was solid as it's both a burger patty and short rib on top which made for a nice combo. While the fries were plentiful, we're talking a generous portion, they were stale and lifeless. They tasted worse than frozen fries that you bake in the oven. Here's where things got weird. We had a group of six people. Once we finished our meals, we asked for separate checks. This became an epic struggle. Our waiter could not get our bills right despite us telling him what we each ordered. He messed up several times. It took him forever to come back when he would attempt to print out our bills. He messed up on another table's bill too. He told us that we should have told him we would be doing separate bills when we were seated in a scolding manner. It took around 45 minutes for us to actually pay. I had to get my own to-go box because he was so stressed from this whole ordeal that he forgot. At the end of the day, our waiter clearly needs some training. It ruined our experience and we couldn't believe something so simple became so complicated. A lot of time was wasted. Maybe it was an off night for him, who knows.

    Crispy wings!!

The menu here has everything I love so it was tough to choose. We started with the wings. Hands down, best wings! Why? They were super crispy on the outside and tender inside! No one likes soggy chicken skin. Get the wings, you will not regret it! For the main, I landed on the steak frites but subbed the fries for the smoked Gouda polenta because I simply had to try it! My steak was cooked to medium, as requested, the chimichurri was delicious, and the polenta was fire! My partner got a burger that had fried jalapeños and bacon jam, also cooked to medium, as requested, and it was juicy and packed with flavors of spicey and sweet goodness! We had the fried Brussels sprouts as well. They were crispy and lightly seasoned. For cocktails, we had the limoncello refresher and chai old fashioned. The refresher was a crisp berry and lemon sparkling cocktail, perfect for sipping while out on the patio worshipping the sun! The old fashioned was smooth on the pallet with a hint of chai spice. We ended our meal with the peach cobbler, which is one of my favorite desserts. The peaches were layered at the bottle and I'm fairly certain they use fresh peaches not canned, followed by the buttery crumb topping and served with vanilla bean ice cream. This was not an overwhelming sweet dessert, and was the perfect way to end a fabulous dinner on our last night in Keystone! Our service professional, Steph, did great with regular check ins, she made suggestions from the menu, was professional and took good care of us! Def coming back here next time we visit Keystone!

Great place in the town square with lots of options for everyone! Great friendly service.

Not running back for a second visit anytime soon. My ribeye was over cooked, medium rare looked and tasted more like medium well. Barely ate half of this steak and while I hate to waste food, the cooking and flavor was so bad I couldn't force myself to finish my steak. Service was good, while we had a group of 7 l, Sammy did her best in accommodating our needs. Thanks Sammy! Montezuma can best be compared to Texas Roadhouse, Cattleman's, or Black Angus. If you're from California then you'll know what I'm referencing. The interior is small, so if you have a big group I would recommend that you call and make a reservation. For our group we waiting for almost an hour.

    Short rib stroganoff

Great service, great food , great drinks. I got the stroganoff and steak frites. Both too good to finish, looking forward to midnight snack. I will be back next time I'm in town!

What a flop! My brother and I wanted to grab a nice meal in the village and it was one of the few places open late. We walked in and it was relatively empty so we were seated immediately. The restaurant was hot and stuffy, even without many customers. Hungry, we ordered quickly, but it took almost an hour for the food to come. We both got steaks that saved this review from being a one star. The sides were cold and bland, service was slow and unfriendly, and the meal was overpriced - even for a slope side dinner. Fortunately, the steaks were well cooked and good cuts of meat. We both left very dissatisfied and my brother noted that the money would have been better spent at a casino.

Alex is super friendly and attentive. Do you ever ask your server for their recommendations? Well, Alex is very honest and gives you her personal opinion. I felt bad that we went in the middle of the day between lunch and dinner so they were slow but we really enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere is so nice. Glad we found these guys! Oh!! Get the chips & dip!!! Just trust me on this.

We visited Montezuma with our family in January. The interior was very beautiful, and we were seated right by the fireplace, which made it very cozy. The staff was very polite and friendly. My wife and I ordered the Colorado bison steak and regretted it. The meat was impossible to chew, though I believe this is due to the nature of the meat itself and not the chef's fault. However, if the meat is inherently this tough and cannot be prepared in a way that makes it enjoyable, then why serve it at all? At the very least, guests should be warned that the meat is very tough. As for the price, it's above average, as expected at ski resorts.

This place was great for dinner. We had a party of 8 and had little to no wait. The service was amazing. We were never waiting for drinks or anything we asked for. I started with the blood orange margarita and it was perfect. We started with the dry rubbed wings (not my personal favorite but others at the table enjoyed them) and the fundido dip (which was super delicious). For my main entree I ordered the blacked shrimp pasta. So far it has been my favorite dish of the entire trip. The shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It was paired with delicious blackened tomatoes (the best way to serve them) and snappy fresh green beans. If you like shrimp, this is the dish for you. If you are in the area, check this place out. Everything about that dinner was perfect

This establishment is super crowded, the host is super efficient with checking in and report via text once table is ready. Food: salmon with brown rice plate is excellent, steak and egg plate - eggs cooked well, however the steak sirloin is dry and well done for medium rare and dry. I would not recommend steak here. Sandwich is decent. Drinks are yummy. Cappuccino and frapp are delicious. Overall, this place just needs faster service, more waiter/waitress to accommodate the volume of customers on peak time

Between the eggs, enchiladas, and hash browns, I was more than full and needed a take-home box as well. The flavors are good and the chorizo is spicy enough to stand out even among the smothering. Steer clear of the red Chile which is tomato and beans- would absolutely change the meal. Service: 2nd rush ~ we came in at 9 and were seated by 9:15. Our server said the first rush starts at 7AM and there is a line out the door. So come at 9 for a non-rushed sit-down ;-) The server was friendly and attentive. Payment expectation for restaurants is shifting though. When I was handed the credit card machine to check out, my suggested tip was between 22-30%, with a custom tip button as well. Ambience: The customers here are the general Dillon population and working class. It's not as bare bones as a diner, and not hoyty toyty like restaurants in neighboring Breck. The combination of all 3 will have me coming back for breakfast next time I'm up there.

Dates of visit: February 13 - 15, 2025…read more We came here for either coffee or breakfast each day of our stay and while there are a lot of great options and tasty choices, there are definitely some opportunities to improve as well. LOVE the coffee drinks here! I had both the White Chocolate Mocha and the Samoa Latte and both were excellent, though just be prepared for a wait to get them as there is typically just one person making all of the handcrafted (to steal a phrase from Starbucks) drinks at a time. One of the visits the barista seemed more worried that his hair was looking enough like Justin Bieber's and less focused on the coffee, not sure that I loved him grooming himself and then going right back to preparing the drinks without a hand washing in-between... I also had the breakfast sandwich with ham on a croissant and while good, it could have been a bit better, especially if a higher quality croissant was used; such as those sold at Costco. The menu did not provide any details on the bread so I can't speak to its origins. The cinnamon roll was a big disappointment; while it looked good, it was not heated evenly and was really lacking in frosting, I should have gone with a muffin instead. The line can get long very quickly, so take that into consideration before ordering; if you're in a hurry and there's anyone in front of you, it will be a bit of a wait. But staff are very friendly, especially Chris!

They had a Deli right next to the café for people who wanted to get quick snacks and takeout food. The café has a great outdoor seating with amazing view of the water and mountains. But that was about the only good thing that I could find... I ordered Bison Burger with fries. Simple enough order, I thought, but it took a long time for the food to come out. When it did finally arrive, I was a bit surprised... It was much smaller than I expected it to be, and only had patty, cheese, and some kind of fried onions. For $17, this is it? I looked at the menu again, and it says it comes with tobacco red onions, pepper jack, smoked garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, and onion. But mine had no aioli, no lettuce, tomato, onion. My server was no where to be found, and no one came to check on me until I was almost done with it, so I just ate it without them. So sad...and the burger was nothing special. Fries had a nice amount of seasoning, but felt a bit dry. My server was not very attentive, had to wait a long time before I could find him to get a check. He never came out so I had to go into the restaurant to find him. When I did finally find him asked for my check, he came back with $60 bill. When I realized it, I had to go look for him AGAIN everywhere so that it can be corrected. What a horrible place with bad food, no service, and even try to rip you off if you are not careful.
