I had googled top places to eat in Dillion/Keystone area and this place popped up as a top place to eat. Nope, it is not a top place to eat. When you walk in it feels like a cheers environment but then you sit at a table and it feels like you are at Denny's. Food is average and mostly fried. This should not be on a list for the top 10 places to eat. It literally feels like they don't know if they want to be a bar or a restaurant. It's awkward. Won't be back. read more

I'll be generous and go with four stars since the beer is really excellent but the overall experience apart from the beer is more like three stars. We were seated quickly but in a sort of kiddie section with kids at multiple surrounding tables. Once some of the tables with kids left it returned to a more normal brewery experience. Our waitress seemed a little overextended and was initially okay but then didn't check on us when we were ready to order more beers and didn't provide water for the table. The chile beer and the Dillon Dam Session IPA were excellent. The beer here is what makes the place shine. I ordered a build a burger with their beer cheese, onions and mushrooms and it was pretty tasty but the bun was a little stale, the burger slightly undercooked for medium well and the fries were a bit over cooked. My bf ordered a pork plate with mashed potatoes and green beans and was very happy with it. I tried the mashed potatoes and they were super excellent. The bathrooms were okay but could have been a bit cleaner. I also didn't like that there were lots of crumbs and food bits all over the floor. Maybe due to the kids? The waitress seemed to be trying to sweep things up with a mechanical sweeper but it didn't really seem to be working too well. They should really pay more attention to the cleanliness of the carpeted floors because the mess is kind appetite killing. I'd definitely come back here for the beers and would try the food again too but really hope they came improve on the cleanliness. read more

They brew all of their own beer in the restaurant which is really cool to see the process! Our service was not very fast but was cheerful. We got the DAM Bison burger. It was good. I had the peach beer which was tangy. Overall our group of five had a good diner with good food, beer, and conversation. read more

Best Happy Hour around! Dropped in at 5 on a very slow Monday and could sit anywhere downstairs, first time that has ever happened. Ally was our server, she was so awesome with very good recommendations for both the beer & food. The beers we got were the Brewmaster Nitro Stout, Dam Lager & their Bock,,, all were excellent. Our food choices (thanks again Ally) were: Burrata appetizer- we'll be remembering this dish for a long time. Two huge balls of delicious soft mozzarella, tasty tomatoes and pesto that had incredible basil flavor for only $8 during HH... you must order this! Bison Meatballs- very good but polenta might need a little more corny flavor. Mac & Cheese w/ added Pulled Pork- based on a tip from, guess who... Ally, we ordered this "her" way and it was delicious (and will be even better as leftovers}. Lots of food and well worth the price. Ended up spending $66 (+tip) for 3 beers, 2 appetizers & an entree w/ pork add-on... all were fantastic and definitely worth every penny. Kudos to their new chef for bringing delicious unique offerings to Dillon Dam and to all the service staff but especially Ally, she made our visit super delightful. read more

This is an updated review from our last poor experience. After our last experience they sent us a gift certificate to try them again. When we arrived they told us a 30-40 minute wait and it was only 16 minutes till they buzzed us. It was nice that we could wait in our warm truck while we waited for it to buzz. Went in around 11:30 AM for lunch and there was no crowd. The decoration is very interesting and includes some history of the brewery and the area of dillon. Some of the brewing equipment is visible and labeled so you know what you are looking at. Got seated immediately in an area with loads of natural light and had a very friendly waiter who immediately greeted us with glasses of water. We ordered a flight of different beers, the soup du jour (tortilla soup), and the onion soup. Beers came out after 5 minutes and the soup after 10. Everything tasted WONDERFUL. The onion soup was nice and hot with melted cheese that had a perfect crispy texture to the top. To top it all off, the price for everything was under what I was expecting it to be. I enjoyed the experience immensely and I will be coming back for seconds of the onion soup soon. read more

I don't like giving bad reviews but this place has definitely gone downhill probably due to the change in ownership. I used to really like their food and took many visitors there. Now I won't return. The menu has been reduced to 1 page. I had a hard time finding something I wanted to order. Finally ordered a bowl of green chile. Green Chile was very good but a very small bowl. I was still hungry so I ordered the wings that were pretty good but took forever making me 30 minutes late for an appointment after dinner. Two people in my party ordered the trout which tasted and smelled very fishy - as if it was not fresh and had a strange marianade. (Trout is a very mild fish that should not taste or smell fishy). Beef tips were seriously overcooked and also had a vinegar taste. Nachos are now made with black bean tortilla chips which taste way too healthy. These tortilla chips were also served with the Green Chile. They taste like salted cardboard. I know it is mud season but this restaurant used to be standing room only in the bar and a wait time for tables. (Mud season is not as big of a deal as it used to be since we are being inundated with new condos.) The bar was nearly empty and there were many open tables, which should have been a red flag for us. I believe in supporting local restaurants but we will not be back. read more

Went there 7/12 during happy hour. Happy hour IS awesome. So awesome, watched this couple sit in the bar and ordered two sodas and 3 appetizers (half off). When they got the food, they asked for a pizza box and dumped it all in and left like it was the scene of a crime. No joke chick bolted for the door before homeboy could load the food up. Pretty sure one of em was an off duty cop too lol. They acted like this was a normal occurence. Classy. Kept eyeballin me prior to the robbery. I saw em. But they didn't see meeee. Wow. Business owner you need to address your happy hour, like dine ONLY. You're allowing people to sit in the bar, not drink booze and get food for half off... to go. Hmmmmm. Anywho, Waiter was THE man. Great food and drinks at this brewery in Dillon. We started with beer flights, allowing to taste 4 of the beers - we had lite, here, lager, quadrupel, and the special bourbon aged stout. They were all great. For food, we tried the bratwurst, the chicken fried chicken and the pork schnitzel - everything was flavorful and the portions were big (you can certainly share for a lighter fare). For dessert, we tried the S'mores bread pudding that was OK. Service was friendly and the vibe is laid back as expected for a brewery. Would recommend if you are in the area. read more

Great food in a fun atmosphere! We went for dinner, but I hear the mountain views are great if you go during the day. Regardless, we had fun sitting on the second floor overlooking the restaurant. The chili mac and cheese and chicken fried chicken were both awesome, but the service was unfriendly and rushed as a whole, from the hostesses to our server. They were slammed for the holidays, so maybe the service is better in the off-season, but it still detracted from our experience. We would go back though--it's tough to find memorable, reasonably priced food near a ski resort! read more

I enjoyed my burger and beer here. I wouldn't say either were DAM good but they were good enough to come away feeling satisfied. The beer was reportedly award winning. I thought it was good but nothing I'd pin with a ribbon. The burger had Gouda and slaw. Both things I like. I came away feeling similarly to the beer. I'd just finished a long hike so I know I was hungry. Don't get me wrong. I ate it all, including the seemingly standard fries. The meal simply wasn't memorable. The place seemed fairly popular so that's generally a good sign. The atmosphere is comfortable and pretty restaurant-esque. I'd go back and give it another go. We love this place! Anytime we are in the mountains we try to make an effort to go by here specifically to get their French onion soup! We have turned a bunch of our friends onto it as well and it's definitely a fixture to our mountain life. Anticipate a little bit of a wait but it's totally worth it! We were staying at a condo near Lake Dillon and decided to give this place a shot. Pure awesomeness! We started off with the smoked trout dip which was sensational and had a great smoky flavor. I ordered a bison burger, medium rare, with smoked ghost pepper cheese, grilled onions, and candies jalapeños. It was definitely one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The cheese & jalapeños provided a pleasant burn without being overpowering. Loved their Hefeweizen. I would go back for it! The Chicken Fried Chicken was good, the side salads were just ok but the side of fruit was drenched in liquid and didn't taste right. This is an INCREDIBLE PLACE to eat, drink and look at the mountains. The staff is friendly, professional and make you feel like a local even if it is your first time there. The beers are REALLY good! Make sure to try the brewmaster specials. You won't be disappointed. But it is the seafood chowder I am going to rave about. I am originally from Boston and so I have had a LOT of New England clam chowdahs. It pains me to say it, but this seafood chowder is better than all of them. Just get a bowl. Love their beers. Food is nice, especially burgers. I'm a bit sensitive and don't like burned stuff, like grilled chicken, for example. I do think their quality will improve if they clean their grill more often. Tried their smoked fish dip which was delicious and healthy. Wait time quoting is inaccurate and the food is mediocre. Chicken was rubber and $19 for 5 fried shrimp feels very excessive, especially considering their 'quality.' So I waited a few days to write this review to make sure I wasn't acting out of some sort of frustration or emotion. Here goes: I believe the beer is what drives this place. Obviously it's a brewery. I imagine if you come here for the beer and the food is an add on you'll likely enjoy the experience. We however didn't do any beer as it was getting late and we simply wanted food. I ordered wings which were average. Oddly enough half of them were good and the other half were dry and overdone. If they hadn't have been dry I would have been rather happy with my order. My wife ordered the burger. The bun disintegrated 30 seconds into the experience. She asked for no pink but got an overdone piece of meat. Maybe YMMV but the food here was not good enough to come back. Lastly the carpet in the restaurant is disgustingly dirty. I'm surprised I couldn't smell it. I've seen cleaner thin carpet at roller skate rinks. I understand high traffic in the winter during ski season but man was it nasty. read more

Honestly, it's not bad but it wasn't superb. We had a nice waitress and the food tasted good, but wasn't great. I got the build your own burger with chicken and a side of fries and it all tasted very average. My husband got the Porkys Dam Platter which was great flavor. The BBQ sauce tasted made in the restaurant and the potatoes were really creamy. We also loved their options of local cider and beer. If you looking for a brewery near by then for sure stop in. Unfortunately the Dillon Dam Brewery was a great disappointment. Despite having a reservation we waited to be sat in a dismal table with a server who waited 15 minutes just to great is, lean against the table getting far too close to me waist high and to ask for our order with an extreme level of rudeness and lack if care. This was made even more apparent when he only brought one of our beverages out leaving my husband and I to share the one beer he actually delivered. The rest of the meal was equally as rude and neglectful. We are a young and chill couple who are happy to be patient and have compassion with busy servers. However, this restaurant as a whole (including other servers) seemed to be intentionally rude and neglectful of anyone not a local or friend of the manager. Sadly this was our dinner experience for my birthday celebration pre-concert. read more
