    Lamb burger and fries

Good lunch here the other day. I enjoyed the shrimp power bowl, while my wife liked her chicken salad sandwich, and my aunt liked her mushroom burger. Food came out fast, the order was correct, and service was friendly and mostly around when we needed it.

So I reviewed this place once before for breakfast. We come by here all the time. Today's experience was quite different. I'm going to admit that I misjudged our waiter. First impression he seemed as if he was going to be full of bologna. Well he was awesome and the experience was really great. Came in for burgers and my son-in-law is the pickiest person and he raved about the food and service. We all had great meals and very pleasant afternoon. They have a great beer selection and good menu. Just goes to show everyone can have a bad day and needs another chance like us all

We went here tonight for dinner had the trout others had the pot pie and chicken tenders. The tenders were a little hard and dry

    Famous bowl?

First of all, the views are stunning and we got to watch the sunset which was beautiful. The service was sub par. Our server probably came to our table three times during the entire time. Our food was delivered by someone else and he didn't come back to ever check on us until we needed the check. Now for the food. I used to come here and order the chicken fried chicken for a steady 10 years. It would be a part of my ski trip every time. I tried to order this item but they had this "famous bowl" instead. This was really bad. The chicken was just two very small chicken tenders over a very small bed of mashed potatoes, smothered in the most salty gravy I have ever had. I asked for the gravy on the side knowing it might be salty, it did not come on the side. This was bad. It was hard to eat and the salt was overwhelming. The portion size was one for a kids menu and I am just so disappointed in the entire experience with the item. The ale soup was okay and could have actually used a little more seasoning. For 11$, it comes in the tiniest bowl... The martini was delicious and I would definitely get again. That item is an embarrassment. At first, I thought they had split it up for us... two chicken tenders for each person. But once I realized that was the amount of food you got for 18$.... I was very upset. A kids meal usually comes with at least three chicken tenders. I felt ripped off and with the gravy being dumped all over I just had a terrible time with this item. Please change it back. PLEASE. I used to rave about you guys and your portion sizes. I told people they HAD to try you guys on their way to the mountains... I'm sorry but not anymore.

Dillion Dam Brewery has been going on for a long time. I have ate here a lot and it's a very solid option, we had a couple starters that I felt were a little over priced but still got the job done. We were able to grab a reservation for a Friday night during Christmas weekend which means it was definitely packed. I got myself the rodeo burger and it had amazing flavor the fries were seasoned to perfection. The restaurant itself was very inviting and makes you feel like you're in a true ski town and it is awesome. If we're willing to spend a little extra money I would definitely recommend coming to the Dam Brewery.

Great food and the Kolsch beer they make is a nod to Germany. Well done. The chicken fried chicken and the Dam Berger are go-tos.

Do you accommodate seafood allergies? What kind of meat can I have if I cannot have seafood? Chicken? Beef?

My son has severe seafood and peanut allergies and they have always been fantastic about accomodating him. There are plenty of chicken, beef, and vegetarian options. And, I think I've also seen pork on the menu.

Hi, do they accommodate big parties?

I'm sure if you called ahead they could. The place is always crowded so call ahead. It's also very big with a nice outdoor patio and up stairs with a beautiful view. They have the room.

There was absolutely no way we were driving past the Frisco exit without pulling off. Outer Range is our ultimate mountain pit stop. They have an awesome location with a stunning modern build and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh mountain air. It is wild to think that we just visited their sister location in the French Alps during our recent European travels. The fact that they can maintain total excellence across two different continents is unreal. The two spots are completely equal, and the Colorado taproom continues to prove why they are world-class. The beers were spectacular as always. We started out with a couple of pints of their New England-style juice. In the Steep is a masterclass in the style with a beautiful, pillowy mouthfeel and heavy tropical notes. Sun in the Clouds was just as impressive. It delivers those bright citrus flavors without the aggressive hop bitterness. I even noticed Cross Flow on the tap list, which is a fresh, hazy collaboration they just put out with Casey Brewing. Before packing back into the truck, we made sure to grab a new metal tacker to hang up in the garage. We also snagged a four-pack of Lil John Wayne. The can art is easily the funniest label on the shelf, but the actual beer is a solid ten out of ten. To fuel the final stretch of the drive home, we ordered from Bird Craft right inside the brewery. They do not cut corners here. They are frying up full wings, including the drummies and the flippers, and they will toss them in any of their house sauces for an incredible snack. The skin stays remarkably crispy even under a thick coat of sauce, and the meat stays perfectly juicy. It is exactly the kind of savory comfort food you need after a long road trip. Every single time we stop by this place, they manage to completely knock it out of the park.

Our bar tender was friendly and informative. He lets us sample a beer as my husband was curious but wasn't sure he wanted to order a pint. We each got a pint and ordered an appetizer of chip and queso. The queso was a bit too thin and runny for my liking but had great flavor. I got the pork green chili and my husband got the French onion soup, both were delicious, warm and a perfect cozy winter meal. We were both full from just that but our eyes were clearly bigger than our stomachs and we ordered fries. The fries were fine, nothing special, I wouldn't recommend them. Finding a seat wasn't a problem and our group sat down to unwind after a long day of travel. Our server was excellent and she informed us that a few things off the menu weren't available due to an understaffed kitchen and that only a few beer selections were on tap because their head brewer had recently quit. Not a stellar start, but shit happens in the restaurant industry. My rating--I ordered a steak which was good but slightly over-cooked for my tastes and their unfortunately minimal beer selection. I don't like IPAs and that was really the only option for "lighter" beers. I'm sure they'll get things sorted out and when they do, I'll give them another chance.
