Been meaning to stop here for a long time. Had the 1/2 pound cheeseburger with pasta / macaroni salad. It was delicious. Asked for it with everything but thousand Island dressing. Bartender suggested the spicy ketchup that they make in house. It was the perfect addition. The macaroni salad was really good too and nice and creamy. Overall I thought the price of $13 was pretty reasonable. The bartender was friendly and I never felt neglected. I'll be back. read more

This is a great dining location in Morongo Valley. The food is excellent, and the service is good. I recommend the ribs. It is a bar so I can get a little loud sometimes. It's family friendly most of the time. The Coyote Cone ice cream shop is right next-door. Parking lot can get a little full sometimes. This is a favorite with the locals for good dining. People are great & food very good but their stupid phone situation is a pain in the butt. It's difficult to order for pick up when the phones don't work & that's been the case the last few times I've tried to order. But enough whining! The pulled pork is great. The corn on the cob is decent, not the usual soggy, overcooked mush you get elsewhere. The onion rings, fries & deep fried zucchini are tasty & they load you up with fries. We've lived in the area for about 3 years, been coming occasionally and never had any issues. Called in a pick up order tonight. Went to pick it up, walked in and the blonde lady, maybe in her 40s, immediately says "kitchens closed" in a rude tone. No hi, welcome, anything friendly whatsoever. She then realizes I'm the pick up order. I go to pay with a $100 bill, she turns to me in front of a couple customers at the bar and says "is this fake? It doesn't seem real". Like yes lady, I'm trying to pay for food at Dillon's with a fake bill. Embarrassing and uncomfortable. So I paid with a card. She needs to learn some customer service skills, or just some basic human interaction skills. Won't be hurrying back anytime soon. read more

So we are semi-new to the area and thought we would give this place a try. I'm horrible for names but the girl that welcomed us and took our order was very nice and welcoming. A new bartender has bad math skills and an even worse attitude. 9 dollar burger she says is 10.10 cash. Sales tax is 7.75% so total should be 9.69 For correcting her math she told me I should go to mcdonalds. Been a steady customer 10 years. Never met her, she's new, bad at math and bad attitude. Shes hurting the business stating wrong prices and alienating long term customers. Old lady with dyed brunette hair. Watch their math, the establishment is allowing their customers to be defrauded Nothing worse then a new employee who thinks they own the place. Only missing star is for the very relaxed atmosphere. BEST BRISKET ANYWHERE nearby! I ordered the brisket burger,and asked for some blue cheese crumbles just out of curiosity and WOW!!! Incredibly tender and savory, the burger was perfectly cooked and the house made cole slaw was a perfect iteration of proper New York Deli slaw. GREAT. We came here because we were starving and didn't want to wait. The server/bartender was very welcoming and attentive. It was busy considering he was the only one that was working up front. Along with that the cook brought our food and he was just as kind and friendly. He brought us what we needed before heading back to cook some more. :) Our food was super flavorful. I recently visited this establishment for the first time and was delighted to discover a hidden gem. My server, Lorissa, was exceptionally sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. The burger in the photo is the Everything Burger, and I highly recommend it - it was outstanding. The music was a great vibe, the beer was ice cold, and the jalapeño poppers and wings were served piping hot, which was impressive. I strongly suggest trying their ranch dressing, as it is excellent. My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a karaoke machine. The music selection was excellent, with a 100% hit rate. I definitely plan to return and would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the small town of Yucca Valley and Morongo. The restaurant is kid-friendly, handicapped accessible, and conveniently connected to a stylish ice cream shop. When you first roll up on Dillon's, it doesn't look like much. In fact, you'd probably want to turn around and leave. Once you get inside, you realize that Dillon's is just a neighborhood bar. We arrived shortly after noon and there was hardly anyone in the place. The few people that were inside were practicing social distancing. And Dana, the server/bartender was making sure they did. The decor is non-existent. It kind of looks like someone set up a bar in their garage, but its all part of the character of the place. The bar is pretty small. You could probably seat 12 people under normal conditions. The main dining room probably sits 30 people. There are several beers on tap. One of them being the Aurora Hoppyalis from Karl Strauss, which is one of my favorite. The menu offered at Dillon's is small, but is basically bar food and I LOVE bar food. It has things like hot wings and jalapeño poppers. Sandwiches are also offered, but when you go to Dillon's Burgers & Beer it is about the burgers, right? A series of "gourmet" burgers are offered. I would say they are more gourmet bar burgers. I had the brisket burger with tater tots. It was basically a hamburger patty topped with three slices of brisket and covered with bbq sauce and topped with cheese. Overall, a great burger and the tater tots were cooked perfectly. The Mrs. and my daughter both had the Patty Melt. However, my wife didn't care for it very much because processed Swiss cheese. I tried it and actually liked it. My daughter liked hers as well. Dining options in the Morongo Valley are limited. Dillion's is probably the best option in town. read more

BE AWARE!!! Fountain soda more expensive than any bar/burger place in Beverly Hills! Decided to try this burger place the other day. The waitress was nice but very tricky and misleading with the ordering. Told her I wanted to $6.95 deal advertised on the sign outside by the fwy. She immediately asked "what kind of drink?" Like the drink is part of the deal. Never mentioned that the drink DOESNT come with the $6.95 even tho is in the picture to make you feel like it is. Bill comes and for my surprise not only the soda wasn't included but it was the pricier fountain soda I've ever seen! $3.64 plus taxes. When confronted about how dishonest and misleading the business was her answers were "I didn't make the sign" "I didn't make the prices" "Welcome to the neighborhood" was her last words. Offensive, dishonest and dry hard burger patty. Can't wait for "Just a small town grill" other food places to open in Morongo and take this bad-faith Dillans out of business. read more

Hole in the wall with delicious food! It was a one woman show when we stopped into this little place. It was a full house and the bartender was the only one working, she did a great job and we were amazed at the food. I had a wedge salad and my boyfriend had the brisket burger. This little spot in Morongo Valley is much needed as there aren't a lot of dining options down there. They've got a pretty good menu with reasonable pricing. The staff is friendly, and the food is good. Have only been here once, but I will definitely come back just because the service was great. Also, they stock enough Jameson to serve Picklebacks to a small army. IF you've never had one, this is the place to go to get your first experience. They have both the Jameson stout and the IPA. Love this locals little burger and beer cafe. Friendly staff. Several TVs going at once for a distraction if needed. Burger and fries special is a great deal. Pretty chill spot right off of the 10 along a dusty road in North Palm Springs. I've been here several times now. They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap as well as in bottles.
