This is a clever theme for an Italian restaurant in the desert. A great space with a live music stage and a very family friendly atmosphere including a kids menu and a small play area for the youn'ins. Pastas and plates abound. There are vegan options that aren't just door prizes and clearly marked on the menu. The grilled cauliflower with romesco was a flavor bomb and the Ratatouille pasta combined the traditional Ratatouille flavors rounded out with a hearty rigatoni to satisfy and leave you full. An inventive cocktail menu and decent wines as well as beers on tap if you are so inclined round out the offerings. If you are vegetarian, just be sure to let the server know as the fried items are fried in beef tallow but they will bake them for you if requested. read more

Please ditch the beef tallow. Please!! We've been going to spaghetti western regularly since it opened. Such a cool vibe, friendly service, lovely people, and nice food. But we were recently saddened to find out that they've switched to frying in beef tallow for heath reasons. So all those dishes that were naturally vegetarian (zucchini, artichokes, cheese pillows, fries/chips etc) are now all dripping in meat fat. This whole recent "beef tallow is healthier than seed oil" myth is just the latest nonsense from RFK/MAHA. Debunked YouTube pseudo science. All reputable medical findings clearly show that animal fat is high in saturated fat which is linked to cardiovascular disease. If this really is a "healthy choice" decision then why have a 12" tall burger on the menu and not vegetarian vegetables? C'mon we love you Spaghetti Western.. let's not do this, ok? read more

Well, I was MUCH happier with this second visit. The Chicken Parm was beautfully fine and the penne that came with it was perfectly done with a light cream sauce. The Rigatoni Bolognese was also full of flavor and the pasta was nicely all dente. I had an exceptional Pineapple Upside Down Cake with fruit and vanilla ice cream. Warm with cold. Buttery and rich but with nice slices of strawberry and raspberry. Absolute heaven. My other half had Cannolis and they were the rave. Service was exceptional, friendly and attentive. House wine is usually going cheap headache in a sip crap. This was quite descent for house cab or pino Beet said , pear salad. 3 stars Fairly expensive for entree price , medium salads. Good not great. Pears not ripe. Not much oomf Salmon added to salad 4.5 stars. Moist. Worth the added price. Burgers. Both 5 stars. Fries 4 stars. a little greasy. Good Bourbon bread pudding 6 stars Crispy and goey crust, Best in the country. I'd drive there just for this. Tiramasu. 2 stars Bleah. Don't get. So....... Hit and miss. Amazing Braised Beef! Started out with the Garlic Bread. It came stacked and looking so delicious. It had some variations of cheese, garlic, and truffle oil. The bread itself was freshly baked and so soft in the middle and crunchy on the outsides. Unfortunately for me, I'm not a huge fan of truffle oil; it was so overpowering, it made it hard to enjoy the rest of the ingredients. Next time, I'll order it without the truffle oil, becuase it has the potential to be great (for me). I was going to order the shrimp scampi until our server, Christie, recommended the 'Special' Braised Beef. So glad for that recommendation, because it was so delicious. The beef was so tender, it almost fell apart with just the pressure of the fork pressing down on it. The sauce and mashed potatoes only enhanced the beef's flavor. It came with roasted broccolini and mixed carrots, both were cooked perfectly. Our server Christie was so friendly and helpful with great recommendations. The ambiance was a little bit on the louder side, but it was a Saturday night. The live music was a delightful addition. The musician played a fun folk-sy mix. read more

We were out for New Year's Eve and decided to stop here to eat. It was an ok choice. This is a place that specializes in Spaghetti and some other Italian food items. But we ordered steak which I think was a mistake. They were Ribeyes, but not that special in taste, had a nice seer but just a regular taste. Vegetables that went with it were unspectacular. I don't say this lightly. We had a core memory here. This past Saturday night....the air was cool, the streets were dark and our reservation at San Jacinto Restaurant was messed up. I had passed this place many times during early morning treks and this time it was a nice weekend evening so we stumbled in. It changed us forever. The food was out of this world delicious. Liz, the hostess was amazing. The live performances were nothing short of concert-quality with Edward James being the absolute peak of our night. We stayed 3 hours and SW let us. Spaghetti Western was such a gem! I'm so glad I found it on Yelp because it ended up being our favorite restaurant of the trip. We visited on a Sunday evening and were seated at a round wooden table that looked like it came out of the medieval times. The rest of the space was decorated as a western saloon with taxidermy animal heads, cowboy movie posters, antiques, and a gorgeous wooden bar. They also had live music (seemingly an open mic night with lots of variety), a photo-booth, and a separate room with pool tables. I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and we got the Bread & Herb Butter and Cheese Pillows to share for the table. The bread was warm and expectedly good and the Cheese Pillows were basically mozzarella sticks with homemade pomodoro sauce. I also ordered the Burrata Salad to share with my friend, and the Rigatoni Alla Bolognese. The Burrata Salad was simple but tasty, and it was nice to just add some veggies to the mix. The Rigatoni Alla Bolognese, much like all the other pasta dishes, came as a generous portion size. It tasted like home-style comfort food, in the best way. Somehow I was able to finish the whole dish, but was super full afterwards. My friends all loved their pasta as well, including the Chicken Alfredo, Penne Crema Parmigiano, and Spaghetti & Meatballs. Service was friendly and jamming to the live music was so much fun. Afterwards, we stuck around for a little while to play pool and enjoy the eclectic ambiance. TL;DR We didn't get a chance to try the food but had an emergency and the staff was beyond helpful. Owned by good people. We stopped by here on our way to see an author for a book signing event nearby and experienced a small emergency in which the staff showed up with kindness and compassion. The owner herself came to help us, and we were very moved by how welcoming and helpful everyone was. We were unfortunately unable to dine here that day, but we plan to return someday to show our immense appreciation. Thank you again! I came here with a group of 14 women for a bachelorette party on a Saturday night. We made a reservation and received the best service before we even arrived. The food was fast and fresh- we ordered a mix of steak and pasta and salads and loads of cocktails. First visit and the service and food were fantastic. I sat at the bar & the bartender Jasmine gave great recommendations and made a killer Hibisucus Margarita! Ordered the fried artichokes , rigatoni bolognese, and the butter cake. Everything came out hot & fresh and was delicious! 2nd visit we ordered the mozzarella pillows to start, and flatiron with peppercorn sauce & the ribeye. Both came with fingerling potatoes and roasted carrots flat iron had asparagus & ribeye had broccolini. Tiramisu & chocolate mousse cake for dessert. All fantastic! We drive by this restaurant all the time going to Yucca Valley and decided to finally stop for dinner. For being there on a Friday night of New Year's weekend there was surprisingly plenty of tables. The restaurant is definitely going for the old school tv western vibe, plenty of seating in an open area with wood furniture and a classic western bar vibe. The night we were there they had live music and enjoyed the instrumental band they had playing. The food wasn't bad and had good flavors. I liked their fried artichoke, although their batter/bread crust was more of a soft fry and crunchy yet not. The bruschetta was a bit disappointing, basically charred bread with sliced cherry tomatoes and balsamic. Between the 4 of us we also had a caesar salad, blue cheese bacon burger, rodeo burger, crema di Salsiccia, and chicken alfredo. Everyone was pretty happy with their meals. The burger I had was a good size although we weren't asked how we wanted the burger cooked so it done well. The rodeo burger despite the well done patty had a good flavor profile. I also enjoyed the caesar since it had actual anchovy in the dressing, so it had that salty fishiness that's often missing and was garnished with 2 anchovies on top. Initially my friend and I wanted to try pasta dishes since this is the only real 'Italian' restaurant in the area. We were quickly talked out of it after asking the server on how sour the tomato sauces were and the response was that they don't like sour tomato sauces and they enjoy the sauces here, which tells me that sadly the tomato sauces are heavily sweetened. Worth a visit if you want pasta, burger, or one of their other dishes. Cool ambiance, I'll probably stop by again at some point. read more

I came here to try the spaghetti and meatballs and they meatballs were so flavorful and soft they melt in your mouth. Have passed this place for year and have not had a chance to try it till today. Ethan was very nice to work with and will to answer any questions we had, super patient with our larger sarcastic group. He recommended to that if you could not choose an item to order then to close your eyes and point and you would not be disappointed! He had a great personality! Out favorite place in the Joshua Tree area. We've been here 3-4 times and it's always a good time. This last visit we got the beet salad, roasted carrots, spaghetti and meatballs, penne crema di parmigiano with GF pasta, and margaritas. Everything was incredible! the flavors are spot on and delicious, they use fresh lime juice for their margaritas, and the service is great all around. laid back and casual ambiance with cool western theme throughout. I've been to Spaghetti Western three times and have been consistently impressed with the polite, attentive service and the incredible food. The meatballs are a knockout as an appetizer or with spaghetti. The cheese pillows earned a chef's kiss from my daughter. The Thursday lasagna is delicious. The chicken parm is yummy. The burgers and fries are great. The desserts are divine. We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! I love the decor inside the restaurant and I definitely want to come back when they're doing live music. We came for dinner and had the chicken Alfredo, hot honey pepperoni pizza, and bruschetta (all delish). Drinks were also great. The service was friendly and quick and they were really efficient with clearing tables it seemed. The Photo Booth is a nice touch and of course we had to use it!
