My best advise is to NOT keep your tab open with them. They not only gave my card to someone else and closed out the tab once, but they did it AGAIN. The staff and "owner" I talked to could careless about the headache and mess they create for others. It's a place that cares about money. read more

I have upped my vote on this place to 3 stars. I was dragged in here last week.... lots of games. The smell lingering from age has started to grow on me. Definetly my favorite dive bar. The people are fun and the drinks are strong and what else matters in a place like this. If this is your thing the place rocks cuz it was full of people. read more

I've been in once or twice before and there was not much to the bar. Then when I recently went in this past week, I was so impressed with all the add ins to the bar such as the clean renovated bathrooms, jukebox, pool table, speakers, flat screen TVs and etc. The bartender was super nice and provided excellent customer service. We will definitely be returning back. read more

As far as dive bars go, this place rocks! Cheap, strong drinks, really laid back and casual. There was a good crowd, and the jukebox had kickass songs. The main thing that detracted me from giving the 5th star was the tiny bathroom w/o even a urinal, ugh. All in all, great place! read more

Though, I never had a friend with a grandma in Alaska, if I did, I am sure her trailer (if she lived in a trailer) would look alot like this bar. Everything tinged with a hue of grey from the years of cancer sticks being offered up with well drinks by her trucker friends and their kids. Collections of debris/life scattered around and odd papers pinned to walls - oh and weird fish tanks that are so clean they make their surroundings look even more crusty. The staff is cool though - even if they don't really work there but have "filled in" for 20 years....they make it worth a drink. read more

Good reliable dive bar where cheap drinks and fun are the name of the game. You'll find a laid back, non-judgmental crowd along with a jukebox, pool tables, shuffleboard and darts. Been coming here since I was 20.. I'm now..... Yeah nice try. If you want to quick drink with nice people try the DD. They have recently remodeled so it had a great spanky (clean) look about it. It's quaint and drinks are reasonable. The bartenders are still nice and free pour a great cocktail. The jukebox plays good music. It reminds me of a beloved bar in Alaska on a winter night because it is warm & dark inside and the walls are wood paneled. I have been going to the Dilly for 3 years; and I'm not ashamed to say, I know all the bartenders and regular customers. The drinks are cheap, and stiff. There is pool, shuffle board, darts, and other games to play. There is a huge fish tank and several TVs for any sports game... They serve hot nuts, and pop popcorn upon request....The atmosphere is friendly, clean, and fun! They also have a juke box with tons of songs to select from.... Voted best dive bar in PHX. read more

I've been here about 3 or 4 times.. It's cheap (which I love) that's why I gave 3 stars.. also because every time I've gone I have always met friendly people there. Theres always been one bartender every time I've gone. Never really busy enough to need more than one. Which is good, because I hate crowded places. I didn't give it any more stars than 3 because it is kind of dingy looking. The bathroom isn't the cleanest either. It's too dark for me. Which I get, bars are usually dark but it feels a little too dark for me. Just my opinion. it could use a nice remodel, but what do you expect with a dive bar? Over all it does have a good atmosphere. I like that the back has a smoking area... although they could use a couple chairs out there. This place is very nice however the service sometimes can be really slow when you're trying to get seated it's almost a little too popular they could use almost a bigger store the food is good you almost always have to wait to be seated I do recommend this place. read more

I used to go here quite a bit. Cheap drinks and a decent crowd. Finally decided enough was enough with the terrible staff. Asking a simple question is always taken offensively. Don't expect to know what you bought as they won't write down what each charge on the check is. Life is too short to be around nasty people...and the few bucks I save aren't worth it. read more

Horrible. If there were less than one star then i could be more accurate. I've never been treated worse by a bartender. Trashy bar. Smells like an ashtray. Came in with some coworkers to shoot pool at the end of the night. Went to play our last game and she said this is your last game and looked at me and said she already told me that, which I replied, I had no idea she said anything to me about finishing or playing our last game and she cut me off and literally yelled at me shut up, and said don't get smart with me....the woman actually yelled at me. I handled myself calmly and walked out immediately. I understand it was late and I was more than happy to finish up and leave. But to get yelled at like that was crazy. I wasn't drinking, and was there for a total of 15 minutes and that was plenty. I would rather shoot pool at river city pockets. I will NEVER return under any circumstances.They need to open a spot on lower buckeye, they would do well. By far one of the lamest establishments I've even been in. Do yourself a favor and go to circle k...or anywhere else for that matter. read more

This place is so great! Totally unassuming, very low key and locally owned. It's just the kind of place you walk in and feel really comfortable. I had a good time at this place, but it's not my typical places it wasn't really a dive bar it was more like a crackhead hang out, the bartender was nice and hooked up the drinks! There were a few regulars and a group (8) guys and girls in there mid tweenties there and then my friends and a couple of people we meet over at hazelwoods. the group and my friends made this for a good time, I don't think the regulars like us to much, but what can you do but have fun! I guess some guy was treating a women badly in the back so some guy assulted him, I didn't see it but two other guys there recorded it and showed the bartender she kicked him out but he wouldn't leave, so she called the cops, while the cops were on there way I went out back to smoke and the guy was out there talking pretty crazy, I pretty much just made fun of him and talked trash to him, he asked if I was carrying (a gun) and I said always he asked to see it and told him no that if he saw it I would have to kill him, he pretend to pull a gun on me and I laughed at him. I think I scared him a little and he walked out the front of the bar and the cops were there and took him to jail, I was kind of surprised that the bartender actually called the cops but hey good for her. Overall the night was fairly fun it had it's ups and downs most people there were trying to have a god time and I think everyone did for the most part. If you like a good hard cheap drink this is a good place to go, but only if you think you can tolerate some of the crackheads that hang out in there, I'm not saying everyone that hangs out there is a crackhead but there are some that hang out there forsure! If you do go I'm sure the least you get is a good story out of it. read more

This is a great casual bar with a great atmosphere. Always a great place to hang with friends. The staff is fast and friendly.

I went to this bar for the first time and thought it was a cool little place. I ordered a couple of drinks and sat a table with my date and chatted for a little while. Another patron bought us a second round of drinks so we were there a little longer. After about and hour or so, in went to pay my tab. The bartender guy couldn't find my debit card so he asks the chick who originally took my card and started my tab I'd she had seen it or knew where it was. She comes over to me and tells me the girl I was with already closed my tab. I tell her that the girl I'm with is standing right over there waiting for me. She says oh sorry there's nothing I can do. I exchange some words, she says she's done everything she can...blah blah blah. The last thing she says is she can reverse the charges. Thats great honey, but fuck the charges, I WANT MY DAMN BANK CARD. Ultimately, I walked out of this establishment without my bank card. What kind of shit is that? I immediately cancelled my card as I walked out the door. I WILL NEVER GO BACK DUE TO THE POOR HANDLING OF MY DEBIT CARD. THEY NEED TO IMPLEMENT A BETTER PROCEDURE TO PREVENT THIS MISTAKE FROM HAPPENING AGAIN . read more
