Moved to Charlotte in July and hopped around for a few months to find a nail place that is affordable but also does a great job/has a welcoming staff. This has been my go to ever sense I went for the first time. Mrs. Kay and Romeo are incredible and do a fabulous job. I also would put them in the average/middle price range when compared to other places in Charlotte. I have a full set of acrylics with gel polish and it's $45 to get them filled (average price for acrylics is usually around this). Dilworth Nail Salon is located in a shopping center on Park Road, but somewhat hidden due to the layout of the shopping center. After moving close to the area some friends recommended this salon. I heard they took walk-ins so I arrived around 3:00pm on a Saturday afternoon. Overall I wasn't impressed with the salon, very bare and doesn't seem too clean..not that it is dirty, but just old and nothing special. The employees were all very friendly, but my manicure/pedicure was nothing special. The massage chair didn't work, so no massage for me, and even though I asked the water be warmed up they would not do it. Not sure why. Dilworth Nail is a salon I will remember if in a pinch, but not sure it would be my first choice going forward. read more

I was about to head out of town so decided to try the dip acrylic (SNS type) so I wouldn't get a chip a few days in with regular polish. I do my own nails with regular polish because I like to switch out colors about twice a week. I got a recommendation for Dilworth Nails but not a particular nail tech. I walked in and Sofia was free to take me. I think they have quite a lot of colors to choose from. They have the normal regular polish that also matches the dip in case you wanted normal on toes. She shaped them well (almond shape) and only buffed up my natural nail at bare minimum as to not damage my nails. I think the whole process took about an hour. She is thorough and precise and I would certainly go back before another trip. They also offer wine or water. My pics are three weeks apart. Aside from the growth, they still look great! read more

I had such a good experience here! I definitely will be returning. I walked in on a Thursday afternoon and they started my pedicure immediately. They soaked off the my multiple coats of gel polish without issue. I got a deep red gel polish on my hands and a matching nail polish on my pedicure. There were two nail techs working on me at the same time!!!! I love that kind of service! I was out of there in no time. Also, I have to shout out the nail tech, Liz who suggested making my short, natural nails pointy at the end. Such a cute look! I went to Dilworth Nails after seeing so many reviews. So I came here on my birthday to get a full set and a pedicure. I was expecting to be wowed.... but it was just a mediocre place. I have definitely been to better nail salons. The pedicure was okay. Nothing to brag about. The full set was average. My major issue was that I had a specific nail design that I wanted and they didn't have anyone experienced enough to do the design I wanted. Overall, I liked the design that I ended up with.... but I still would have preferred the design that I asked for. I don't think that I will be coming back to this location. The staff was friendly. But my expectation for a nail salon is that they have paraffin wax, leg mask, hot stone massage along with being able to polish really well. So I was a little let down. read more

Decent nail salon. It's close to home, and they take walk ins. Lots of regulars walked in chatting it up which is a great sign. They offered me something to drink (wine or water) and we're all nice I didn't have an appointment and I only had to wait about 10 minutes. My ONLY thing is the woman working in my toes was a bit rough. Other than that, she was sweet and kind and adjusted when she put a hot towel on my legs. OUCH! Massage on my legs was a bit hard too. eh well... Not sure if I'll be back :-/ so hard to find a decent place! Three solid stars if your looking for a place to just get nails done. Omg. If I could give zero stars, I would. First time I have ever been in a nail salon and not offered anything to drink--that's standard, especially when I can see a wine bottle and glasses sitting out. I mean, really? And my nails look awful. I asked for a stiletto, but he cut them too short and had to do an almond. Then he did the other hand round, and it didn't match. Then another tech took over when I said something about it. She took forever and left my acrylic nails bumpy and ridged. Then she did a smeary, streaky job painting them and couldn't get it right after 3 tries. Tried claiming I was bumping them to smudge. No, that wasn't smudging, that was bad application. And it was a shimmer finish polish, so it wasn't like it was a creme nude that needed that many coats. She just did a terrible job. I ended up taking the polish off and redoing it when I got home. Which sucks, because I don't have that color at home. $28 for a set I had to repaint myself? No way. You couldn't pay me to go back. Oh, and did I mention the blood? Because she cut so much out of the corner of my natural nail to do the shape on the second hand that there was blood. read more

I've lived in Charlotte since 1986. Have been to several salons for pedicures. this place is right around the corner from me. So I thought I would give it a shot. Hands down, the best pedicure I've had since I've lived here. The staff was friendly and kind. All of the covered safeguards were in place. They actually wore gloves to do the pedicure. All the chairs are separated by plastic shields. If you're looking for a top-notch nail salon, a place that will treat you with respect. This is your place. This place is everything bad in a nail salon. Dirty. Reused files, buffers and implements. Base, polish, top coat slapped on, edges not covered, sides not covered. Layers of polish don't match up so they are darker in some spots. Labeled bottles that have something different in them (lotion, base coat, top coat) And as a final horror-not only do my nails look like I've done them myself but they called out to me from across the salon to ask me the pin to my ATM debit card so they could run it. I'm loyal by nature and appreciate a spot where I can see my go-to nail techs, Kay, Romeo, and Mimi but I know everyone else is just as good should I be in an emergency and need a fix ASAP. Romeo did SNS dip powder on my nails. They clean the salon well & have each section separated for COVID precautions. Everyone working there is super sweet & friendly. However, my nails look messy and lumpy in certain areas. Most nail places clean up more around the sides and under the nails, but mine look uneven and splotchy in many spots. I get SNS regularly & didn't find Dilworth nails to be very detail oriented, unfortunately. read more

Went to Dilworth Nails with a large group before my wedding and had a great experience! I called a few weeks in advance to make an appointment for a group of 8. I did call twice to confirm the appointment, and both time they didn't have the appointment on their books. I was a little nervous that they would not be prepared for our group, but all 8 of us were seen immediately for pedicures and pedicures. I was very happy about that! Overall, the service is good. I've been here a number of times for mani/pedis and eyebrow waxing. The ladies that work here are sweet as can be, very talkative and personable. They treated me like a regular the very first time I went and have remembered my face everytime since. They do the best eyebrow waxing I've ever had done and for 10 bucks (plus tip)!! I love Dilworth Nail Salon and would reccomend it to anyone. I used to get pink and whites done here, they did an excellent job. I quit doing that due to time and expense that it takes. But...they were always very well done. Prices can't be beat, they are about the same as every Nail Salon, but definitely worth more. read more

I think I have found my new favorite nail salon. 10 times better than any of the Polished salons ( you are paying for atmosphere and nothing else) and you are still offered wine at this salon. I only wish they offered threading as well (Greek Girl problems) The chairs are comfortable and they do a really thorough job cleaning up your cuticles, rough heels etc. Very important as I have a lot of calluses. TMI I know but I can't be the only one... Also, $12 for a full manicure is a really great price. The trick I have discovered is to pick an OPI polish (they last much longer than Essie) and I noticed they use Seche Vite top coat which is my Holy Grail of topcoats. They do a tremendous job and obviously know what they are doing. The technicians are all sweet and funny too! Keep up the great work! read more

I just moved to Charlotte from out of state and was dreading finding a new nail salon. I read reviews and felt Dilworth Nails was my best bet for finding something similar to home. It is perfect! I'm a no frills kinda girl, just the normal filing shaping and cuticle attention with a couple coats of gel polish and I'm good. That's exactly what I got, plus a nice hand and forearm massage! $30 for my gel manicure. Many color options. Strong attention to detail, and the quality of my nail cut shape, etc. My nails are classic and beautiful and I'm so happy with them! Staff was all so friendly, from when I walked in the door to when I left and it was such a pleasant experience. ALSO my nail tech said the one thing I always want to hear but never have in 15 years of getting my nails done. When I sat down to look through the colors, she said "take your time!" I came in because it was close to my child's school. $26 for pedicure which is the going rate. No wait although it was a Tuesday at 3:15 so kind of an off time. They told me to pick a color and asked if I wanted a drink. Liz was my attendant as was awesome. She was fast but detailed and gave a great leg and foot massage. I thoroughly enjoyed Dilworth nail. I will return. They also have a loyalty membership where you gain coupons and points towards services. I did not know of any salon that does that. read more

I am quite picky about who does my nails and eyebrows. The people at Dilworth Nails are GREAT. The massage chairs actually worked (I've encountered many that don't) and the massage didn't make me cringe. They had a wide range of colors to choose from, which I like because sometimes I'm in the mood for a bright flashy color and other times I want a darker more subdued polish. The pedicure I got there was the best I've ever had and left my feet feeling fantastic for days after. When I got my eyebrows done, they were efficient, careful, and made my eyebrows look great. I'm going back this weekend to get a mani-pedi with my best friend, and I'm so excited! I would recommend this salon to anyone. It's my new regular nail place. :) read more

I haven't been to a lot of nail places in Charlotte but I will say this is probably one of my favorite places to go for my pedicures. They serve wine, use the plastic shower cap things for the pedicure basins, have a plethora of nail color options and move relatively quickly. Also, the prices are relatively affordable. The staff are always friendly and hilarious. The only downside is that they do get really busy at certain times so parking can be tight. I usually go at odd hours so that's generally not an issue for me. I will definitely go back. read more

Got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. They do offer refreshments, including wine, which I appreciate. Pricing was standard I would say, about $65 for both. Though massage chairs are always nice, I worry about proper cleaning procedures being adhered to in order to avoid the spread of bacteria. Therefore, I liked that they used liners in the foot soak tub portion of the chairs. They also offer a good variety of pedicure "types," allowing one to pay a little extra for extra pampering. My pedicure was great. My gel manicure was not that great. It had "bubbles" around the nail edge the very next day. (Unfortunately, as I was leaving for a west coast wedding the next day, I had no opportunity to go back and see if they would correct the issue.) My mani was peeling within a few days, which I have never had happen with a gel manicure. Though I appreciated that they did not completely remove my cuticle (I hate when they get cut so short that they start peeling) I can only assume the gel polish was accidentally laid over my cuticle, allowing for air to get underneath it, and prevent the "bonding process" from completing appropriately. As I am now stuck with gel polish on the top half of my nails, and my mani lasted less than a week, I feel this was wasted money. I apologize I do not remember the name of my technician. I suppose I would be willing to give them a second chance on a gel manicure, but as I had seen a few reviews on here mentioning the gel mani not lasting very long, and decided to try them out anyway, I might suggest keeping track of your technician should you decide to risk it and have a good experience. I would go back for a pedicure, or perhaps a normal manicure. read more
