I needed to ship several end tables, 4 cane bottom chairs, 2 marble slabs and several boxes back to Santa Fe. I went to the recently opened Remount Road Store where I met the owner who did an incredible job helping me with these shipping issues. I boxed the end tables but paid to have the chairs and marble slabs wrapped by the store. The packing rates were great, the shipping rates reasonable, everything arrived in Santa Fe in perfect condition. The owner tried very hard to get me a bulk pallet rate, but I didn't quite have the necessary minimum weight. I would definitely return here to ship again and would advise anyone needing to ship ANYTHING to check this place out. Great, caring service from this store. read more

Went to Dilworth Packing Company to ship a package before work, since they said they were open at 9am. Wrong! I pulled in at 9:05 to find the door locked. Having worked for small business before, I dedided to give them the benefit of the doubt and head over to Dilworth Coffee. Came back at 9:20 and still no dice. I even called the store to see if there was someone in the back who forgot to unlock the door, but no answer. Sat in my car out front for another 10 minutes, watched 3 OTHER PEOPLE try to get in, and then I just gave up. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Today, I shipped 6 pieces of art to Atlanta; the people in this store are always nice and professional. Being in business you have good days and some bad...buts it hard to find a group of people that work as hard as Dilworth Packing Company. I posted a review last week and noticed Yelp didn't post it...it was a 5 star review. But they seem to post the ones were people hide behind social media and place a bad review. For those people get a life and realize your drop off package isn't going to be handled with a white glove service with UPS, FEDEX or the USPS...its a cardboard box. These people work and to have to put up with some of you...its a test of patience. Good Job read more

I went in to mail a small package to Raleigh on a Thursday. Employee seemed irritated that I was there. Quoted $16.95 and 'might not get there Saturday'. Said guaranteed Sat for $23. Drove 6 minutes down Park Rd to the Post Office: $7 and will be there Saturday. Save yourself time and just go to Park Rd USPS. In and out in 5 mins and the staff is friendly! read more

I am a firm believer in supporting local business but will not be going back to Dilworth Packing Co. due to poor customer service. I had 2 packages that need to be sent out but lady at front told me they have a policy against lending out their tape gun to secure packages. Was very surprised to get turned down by the employee for packing tape. Fedex Kinkos (2 blocks down the road) and other local UPS franchises will loan you their tape gun to secure a package. read more

This place is completely over priced and dishonest. They quoted me $20 for USPS when the Post Office quoted me $11 for the same service. She also withheld cheaper rates until I pushed further, even though I said from the beginning "Ship this as cheaply as possible". I won't be going back and I suggest you go elsewhere. read more

I agree 100% with the negative reviews on here and feel slightly better knowing that it's not just me - The owner is extremely rude and blatantly irritated with customers. She told me to take my stuff to USPS instead of to her, which I will absolutely be doing from now on. She throws packages marked as fragile right in front of the customer and I genuinely feel awful every time I walk in the door. Contrarily, the woman who works at their other location on Remount Road is delightful, helpful and friendly. If you must use Dilworth Packing Co., go there instead of their location on East Blvd. read more

i was repeat customer but will never give this business any of my money ever again. I wanted to return a package to Zappos but the woman behind the counter rudely told me that I needed to have the box taped up and a sleeve for the return label. She would not give me a piece or tape or a sleeve unless I paid for it...I guess the 10 cents it would have cost was too much for a repeat customer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THE STORE!!!! go a few miles down the road to the UPS store where they actually know how to treat a customer. Businesses like this deserve to go out of business. When I moved to Dilworth, I was very excited to start using Dilworth Packing Co. It is convenient to my home, and I always like to support local businesses. My first experience was less than impressive, however. Last night I came to drop off some UPS boxes. The young man who was working was polite, but told me that their UPS system was down, and that it should be up and running by the morning. This morning, I called on my way to work to confirm that the UPS system was back up before I stopped again. The lady who answered the phone just said "Yep" and then hung up the phone. About 5 minutes later, I came in with my three UPS boxes. The lady, Deborah (who was presumably the same lady who hung up on me), was visibly irritated that I brought in UPS boxes. She then proceeded to curtly ask me "You know we're going to stop taking UPS drop-offs?" I replied that I did not (how could I? It is advertised on their door and website that they are a UPS authorized center). She then scanned each box and threw each one on the ground, like she couldn't care less about helping me. Could she have been less friendly? Sure. However, I was not made to feel appreciated as a customer and will be taking my business to Fed Ex or UPS stores from now on. read more

I dropped off a package this morning and the lady working at 9:00 am was very rude. My package was pre labeled and had fragile written on all sides. She took the box and threw it with other packages to be shipped. I have visited this location on a number of occasions . Whenever she is there it is always the same attitude. There are many package and shipping companies in Charlotte. The Dilworth Packing Co. on East Blvd is not one of them. Karen S read more

I've used Dilworth Packing for years and would never go anywhere else for shipping and packing supplies. These guys are amazing and they even do bulk shredding. I work from home and need a place that can handle these services and finding them all those years ago has made my job that much easier! There are so many options for these services, but the owner and staff here are amazing and the job always gets done right! They are the reason to come back again and again! I usually go into this packing store to ship items out at which time my experience is always a pleasant one. After yesterday I will not go into this packing hub again and have told all my hospital coworkers not to use them as well based on my experience yesterday. I took a large care package there yesterday to ship to my daughter who attends college in Greensboro, NC the cashier Patrick entered the address incorrectly 3 times. After spending nearly 1 hour in this store and him calling the manager twice I requested a refund. Once my refund was complete the cashier threw to me my refund receipt and slammed down another receipt and pen for me to sign off on the refund. The teen cashier/Patrick was very rude to a point were I would say he was a racist. Needless to say I was appalled to be treated in such a manner of disrespect that I left the store in tears with 20lbs items for my daughter that would have cost me $56.99 to ship. I am still in disbelief. Today I contacted the store to speak with the Manager and I was told by a worker that she will not be back in the store until next Monday. read more

The owner/manager is one of the rudest women I have ever encountered working a customer service based job. I am writing this review after at least 6 visits to this business. After so many visits and her terrible attitude, I had to write a review. When you go in you are not greeted with a smile or a warm hello. Instead, the woman behind the counter looks at you like why are you here? My most recent experience was I went in to drop off UPS packages that were return items with labels already attached, she literally stood there, looked at each one and threw them across the room to the outgoing pile. And I don't mean a gentle toss, it was a blatant throw. A couple of my items were breakable but she could have cared less. I suppose if I were "paying" to ship or purchasing items she would be less of witch. Bottom line is she doesn't want you to bring in pre-labeled returns, maybe she doesn't make any money? Not sure how UPS works and what the contracts are, but this is no excuse to be treated so poorly. In fact, my next step is to contact UPS customer service and ask why they would allow this company to represent them so poorly. Another experience was I went into Dilworth Packing, mailed a package, then proceeded to walk a few doors down to grab a coffee to-go and she comes running out of the store, yelling at me to move my car from her space. I can't believe I can spend money in her business but then can't leave my car parked for 5 more minutes to walk 2 doors down and grab a coffee. I am customer service provider myself and it truly baffles me that someone with ZERO personal skills would own or manage a public business. If you are that miserable and hate the public then find a different career!!! read more
