Pros: Great location with plenty of garage parking Huge dim sum menu and lots of other entrees too Pretty decor and ample seating Cons: Pricey No cart pushing :( Can get pretty busy so service may be slow Pro tip: You can order dim sum any time so plan your visit during off times! Reservations are always a good thing too.

Had a craving and walked away SO happy with our first experience at Dim Sum Asian Bistro! First impressions: it's near a parking garage (bonus!) and the space is honestly stunning. It's upscale, beautiful lighting and finishes, comfortable tables and seating. The bar area was gorgeous too. 10/10 for decor and atmosphere! Had absolutely spectacular service from the minute we came in. Our hostess was super welcoming and friendly and our server was outstanding. He chatted with us about our dim sum choices and more. Just honestly so friendly and welcoming, it felt like visiting with a friend. It's so rare but these types of interactions is what makes a business feel like part of the community. We tried so many different things I can't remember everything we got but a few things stood out: loved how crispy the egg rolls were (and their house made hot mustard - whooo that has a kick! I'd buy it in a bottle if I could! Stand-out favorites for us both were the soup dumplings and the pork shui mai. Just hearty and beautifully flavored. The hot and sour soup was different than most restaurants and tasted homemade and fresh. Unique in a good way! Treated myself to sesame balls as a little sweet bite and loved them too (perfect for anyone who loves a red bean paste treat!) Not sure you can go wrong with anything they have tbh. Their chef is from Hong Kong and knows their stuff!

I'm a big dim sum fan & Grandview just got a new dim sum spot the other month, Dim Sum Asian Bistro! The aesthetic and vibes are super nice & the staff are all incredibly friendly! This place is great for sharing different bites with the whole table which makes for a fun meal with any group of people you go with! There are so many options to choose from, they have everything! You can never go wrong with spicy wontons & I'm a big fan of soup dumplings! The sesame chicken is one of the best I've had in the city; the sauce consistency & flavor was perfect! The lettuce wraps are huge & the spring rolls make for a great side/app too! You need to check them out!

I love Ty Ginger, so when I heard they were opening another restaurant I got here as soon as I could. They opened last week, in the Yard area of Grandview. Big parking garage in back. Very nice inside. Carryout kiosk at counter, but big airy dining area too. Service was excellent. Some of the staff also work at Ty Ginger. Big menu of interesting items, but I was here for dim sum. Loads of items on that side of the menu too. I started with Snow Mountain buns, with bbq pork inside. Pillowy, a bit savory, quite good. Next up were chive dumplings. Oh yeah. I like chives, scallions, leeks, anything like that. These were big dumplings, stuffed full. A nice blend of flavors and textures. So so good. Then spicy wontons. A smaller serving than standard places, of course, but perfectly plated, and very good. The heat builds slowly to somewhat strong but not crazy. And last, sausage sticky rice. I've had this at Chinese buffets, but I figured their version would be at least different and hopefully better. It was. Somewhat different, and much better. More rice than sausage, with a subtle flavor and perfect texture. An excellent end to the meal. I was stuffed. I wanted to try more, but I figured I should stop. Great food, reasonably priced for the quality, excellent service, a nice place. A large and interesting menu. I'll be back.

The server Jenny told me they just opened right around Thanksgiving, and is tied to the one in Dublin. I forgot the name of that one, I think is Ty or Tiger something, started with the T. lol Walking in, this place look brand new, staffs is friendly. My server Jenny is very nice, she welcome me by saying "Happy Friday". Speak very good English. Unlike your typical Chinese restaurant if you know what I mean. Seated "what you like to drink" damn people... slow down, let me look at the menu what you got first. Not here, very chill Jenny is super nice, asked I been there before, do I have any question for the menu When I got there I think it was around 5pm, the place maybe have 3-5 tables, but by the time I was leaving around 6pm, the place was packed The food is delicious, is authentic Hong Kong Cantonese style, not American/Chinese I will definitely go back

To sum things up, it was ok. I have to admit, things didn't have a ton of flavor so you need the chili sauce that comes to the table. Best items were the lettuce wraps, bbq pork buns and roasted pork. Least favorite items were the creamy corn fish and the fried shrimp balls. Lettuce wraps were good. Flavor was good, added sauce for a little kick. Good starter. Bbq pork buns were fluffy and the roasted pork was tasty, a little sweet. Creamy corn fish looked good on the menu but then it came out. Basically had the Sam's frozen corn/pea/carrot mix on top. No flavor. Shrimp balls were literally ground up shrimp fried. Not appetizing. Service was good. A bit disappointing that the server didn't tell us the amount of food we ordered was too much. He knew it was our first time there. I heard other servers helping people a bit more. Inside it nice and tables were kept bussed and clean. Overall, probably won't be back. Not worth the $200 spent.

Literally the worst dimsum I've had in my life. You are better off steaming frozen dimsum from grocery store than this place.

First time. Brought the 13 year old Man Child. We both loved it. Ordered many Din Sum dishes. All were fresh and so tasty . Man Child Was still hungry so he ordered the Duck noodle soup. Love the Duck I get the leftovers tonight. Wonderful staff as well

I came here with my friend to celebrate Lunar New Year. It was both of our first time here and it did not disappoint. If you are going though I highly recommend you make a reservation though for dinner. My friend is from Taiwan and she saw the menu and was immediately so excited! The service was excellent, the host and our waitress were very kind and attentive. The restaurant it self was so cool and very good vibes for a dim sum restaurant. We tried so much and we were both in love with every item we ordered! If you are looking for a new place to try in the city and you have not gone here yet, you must!

Wonderful ambience and great AUTHENTIC dishes throughout. Service was excellent as well--felt right at home.

Came here for lunch on Friday it was busy!! I came with a table of 5. I got the chicken & srp with vegetables lunch dish plus the Bbq pork bao buns. They were delicious!! And our server was so attentive. It was so quick too. Great place to come for lunch in Grandview!!

I hate to be one of the only 4/5 star reviews but I enjoyed Ty Ginger in Dublin better. We came around 4:45 PM before the dinner rush and were able to order food in advance before the 5:00 PM dinner dishes were served. The benefit of coming early is that the restaurant is not too busy and the dishes come out quick, but I think some of the dishes (like our congee) was lukewarm, not hot. For my health, I was glad that their food was not too salty, but for my taste buds, many of their dishes were not very flavorful. Here are my ratings for all the dishes we tried: -Har Gow (shrimp dumplings): 4/5 - lots of filling, but needed soy sauce -Chive Dumpling: 4/5 - good tasting but dumplings were smaller than pictured -Egg Tarts: 3/5 - I prefer a sweeter filling and crispier crust -Ham Sui Gok (sticky rice pork dumpling): 3/5 - not filled too much and wish it was more flavorful -Leaf pork buns: 3/5 - super soft bun but flavorless filling -Taro puff: 4/5 - crispy and large -Congee: 4/5 - delicious but served lukewarm -Stuffed Eggplant: 5/5 - the best tasting dish I had and very tender -Stir-fried pea tips: 5/5 - great flavor but $17! -Beef chow fun: 5/5 - very tasty and tender beef -Xiao long bao: 5/5 - great flavor and full of soup -Fried calamari: 5/5 - crispy and salty

We were seated right away. Our server was super nice and attentive even though he had a lot of tables. Some of the best general tso chicken I've had. Will definitely get that again. The soup dumplings were good. I've had better. They were $6 for 4 and they were on the smaller side. We will be back though to try different items on the menu.

I arrived at noon and the parking lot was already pretty full for this very unassuming Chinese…read morerestaurant from the outside. There is plenty of free parking which is nice. When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

We visited Coco Cuisine and were immediately impressed by the presentation and the freshness of the dishes. The Standouts * Charcoal Salted Egg Yolk Buns: These are a showstopper. The dark charcoal dough topped with a delicate gold leaf makes them look incredibly high-end. The filling was the perfect balance of sweet and savory--exactly what you want in a lava bun. * Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf: Perfectly steamed and packed with flavor. The rice had that wonderful earthy aroma from the leaf, and the portion size was generous. * The Classics: The Siu Mai was firm and juicy, and the Egg Tarts had a beautifully flaky crust with a silky, rich custard center. * The "Cute" Factor: We couldn't resist the animal-shaped buns (the little chicks!). They are almost too cute to eat, but they were a hit at the table, especially for the kids. Experience & Atmosphere The restaurant has a clean, contemporary feel with those convenient built-in table warmers to keep your tea or dishes at the perfect temperature. They were made well, balanced, and creative. The flavors they offered were very good and unique. We got their Pork Xiao Long Bao, small Chicken Karaage, and Pepper Tuna to start. The XLB was good but not memorable, flavorful and small bites. The Pepper Tuna was also pretty good but I would probably only get again if I was craving. Their Karaage was phenomenal, very flavorful, crispy, and made well. We really enjoyed this appetizer. We got the Tan Tan Men and Seafood Ramen. The Tan Tan Men was delicious, made well, umami, flavorful, and fulfilling. I think the broth was delicious and everything paired well together. I would recommend this dish. The Seafood Ramen was good but, I didn't feel the seafood was too memorable and the flavor was very light. I wish their ramen had a bit more topping variety but overall, made well and delicious. Staff was nice! They were a bit busy and didn't check in as often but they were nice and walked around. They answered a couple questions we had in the beginning and we're accomodating. The service was fast and helpful. I ordered and was on my way in less than 10 minutes. I gauge a Chinese restaurant by its hot and sour soup so I had to order it even though it's an air quality alert day because it's so hot. The soup has good flavor but could have more vegetables in it. The broth was darker and a little thicker than I'm used to, the flavor was a good mix of sour and umami. The egg roll was kind of flat instead of nice and round. It was not exceptionally crispy. The inside tasted okay but was a little gummy in texture. If it was fried longer it might be okay. Nothing special. I usually order Szechuan chicken but they did not offer it at Happy House. When I asked the person who took my order what might be similar she said to try Kung Pao. The Kung Pao was pretty sweet and salty. The peppers and carrots are a little soft for my liking, the regular spice level has just enough zip but couldn't cut the sweetness. I do like spice. If you do not it might be too much. The fried rice that came with the dish was pretty plain. I had to search for vegetables and egg and did not find much. The restaurant has a small eat in area.
