The staff was friendly and the food took a while to come out but that means they are made to order. We ordered the following: 1. Hong Kong style wonton soup: This is a 3/5 for me because the flavors were bland (the broth). It has lots of veggies, which surprised me and the most surprising was the wontons: They were the best I have had! I wish the broth would have more depth cuz that would make this soup outstanding. 2. beef chow fun: 5/5. Very flavorful and the amount is nice for the price. 4. dim sum items: quality food (better than some other places I have had) and they were tasty. a. chicken feet: 5/5 b. shrimp hargow: 5/5 c. beef tendon: 5/5. This has the star anise flavors, so FYI if you do not care for it. For me, it was very tasty! d. desserts: coconut buns and sweet rice cakes. 5/5 The place is clean and surprisingly, the bathroom and the hallway leading into the bathrooms did NOT have inventory or boxes or chairs by them. It was clear and the women's bathroom was clean, not smelly or gross looking like some other Asian restaurants. We have been coming here for years, but haven't been here in several months and it's sad to see the decline in food quality and service. Ordered the half roasted duck today and the duck meat literally tasted old. It tastes like they're reheating old duck that didn't sell in the past several days. Has this bland old taste to it. Ordered their dim sum chow mein and they changed the recipe/ingredients. This used to come with just the noodles, sliced onions, and green onions.. now it has cabbage, carrots, and some sort of chewy green leaf veg in there.. was disappointed. Also ordered the beef tendon - this used to be our favorite dish here - now it taste (and looks) like they're reusing yesterday's batch and simply adding water to it. Very pale color and bland taste. Food is delicious here! I came here with my family consisting of three kids on a Saturday late afternoon. We got noodles, rice, dumplings...a lot of food. The Thai tea here is also really good and a nice size too! The only thing that was wrong was that we ordered Apple juice for the kids, and our server brought back orange juice. However, the orange juice is not like the kind that is commonly given in restaurants. It was more like a mandarin juice, so the flavor was different, and also a bit watery and tart. Welcomed in by friendly staff. Not busy when we arrived;only a few customers eating so it was relaxed and quiet. We ordered from their Dim Sum menu. They were having a special on 1/2 an order Peking Duck, steamed Chinese broccoli, Sweet buns, Egg custard tarts, 2 orders of steamed chicken feet, shrimp dumplings; then we ordered Chow Fun Noodles and Shrimp fried rice from the regular menu. Everything looked and tasted perfect. We really appreciate this Dim Sum Cafe which is conveniently located near Summerlin and Spring Valley area on Hualapai and Twain. We usually go to our go to dim sum spots Hong Kong garden and Orchid garden. This time we are trying dim sum cafe. The ambiance here reminds me of a traditional old school but in a modern area. This family style dim sum spot has rotating tables for large parties that cater well to big family style dining which I really like especially if you're big on family dining. Today the food we ordered of course chicken feet had flavor and was meaty. We also ordered short ribs with squash delicious as well. We ordered the crispy shrimp so crunchy and fresh hot and ready. We also ordered the Hong Kong style noodle combination my favorite with crispy style noodles with Chinese gravy with a combination of vegetables and meat so delicious a must with their house hot chili oil so good. My partner took me here because he said he enjoyed it last time he went here (3 yrs ago). I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it was a big letdown. I ordered the hot and spicy wontons expecting bold flavors, but the dish was completely bland. The chili oil--which should've been the star--had zero heat and barely any flavor at all. I was craving some dim sum and wanted to go somewhere new away from all the traffic. My husband and I came here on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't busy. The staff welcomed us right away and came by to take our order. The venue is quite big and spacious. The menu is on point. We ordered the Spicy won ton, egg custard, Baked Sweet Cream Bun, shrimp and pork shu Mai, fried taro crispy beef fried noodles . Sweet cream bun 4/5- it was warm, the bread was chewy, however, I do wish there was more of the cream custard filling. Egg custard 5/5- super flaky, perfect density of the custard, and the very creamy egg custard filling. Beef crispy noodle- 4/5 loved the veggies, the beef was tender, the noodles were crispy and soft. The only downfall was that the sauce was very salty. Fried taro- 5/5 super flaky, crispy! I loved how the taro and meat was filled in the pastry. It wasn't oily either. I really enjoyed it! Shrimp shu mai- 5/5 filled with shrimp and good ratio of the wrapper and filling. Spicy won tons- 2/5 it didn't look like the photo. The ratio of the pork and wrapper was off. There was too much wrapper. The flavoring of the pork wasn't seasoned enough. Ordered takeout/delivery so this may have affected it slightly. However, the food unfortunately was not to my liking. The bbq pork was very dry for 90% and you can see it in the quality as well. For 14 dollars, it was not worth it, despite a smaller portion size. The BBQ steamed buns was slightly better, but the bao itself was too sweet and pasty. There wasn't that nice fluffiness I was looking for in a bao. The filling was better overall than the regular BBQ Pork. The shrimp rice noodle rolls were okay. noodles were slightly thicker so there wasn't that silky texture. The shrimp did look overdone, but that may be from sitting in a box, this one was average. I was craving Dim Sum on a nice Sunday morning and saw this place pop-up on my recommendations. I ordered to-go through their website: order of shrimp rice noodle, pork shumai, egg tart, steamed bbq pork bun, shrimp har gow, baked bbq pork bun, and chinese broccoli. We got there within 20 minutes of ordering and everything was nicely packed and ready to go. Very very efficient! The portions were good for the price and everything just hit the spot-the amount we ordered was enough to feed 2 people for 2 meals haha XD. We have been coming here since they first opened but this has become our go to place for groups of 10-12 people - very easy to order for large groups - plenty for everyone - has been some price creep but staff tries and you need to try as well since there is a language barrier. Not all the dim sum is best in town but all are acceptable to good. Easier than waiting for cart to come around with what you want. If they're busy, certain items take a while so ask about timing so you always have stuff on the table to snack on. read more

This place has gotten way more popular and well known since I last wrote a review. I went on New Year's Day so there was a wait. I still like that their dishes are made to order so it tastes fresh. A couple more items I wanna add is their garlic choy sum. Was really flavorful and delicious. I'm sad that they stopped selling their almond cookies from the jar at the front desk. 04/06/24 Dim Sum for dinner!! Been here many times. We ordered: Deep fried meatball which ground meat was the filling of a deep fried mochi ball. It came with 3 pieces. Love that it wasn't oily and love the chewiness of the mochi. Pork shumai ( 4 pcs) is always a must order in dim sum. Shrimp hargow (4 pcs) was pretty good. Eat them while it's hot before they get cold and chewy due to their wrap. Pan fried chives (3 pcs) love how thick they were and tasty. Beef tendon x 2 orders is a must for my husband and I. Not everyone loves tendon but we do! This place has one of the best tendons served. Chow mein: wow, the serving this time around came in a small plate, all the times I've been here and ordered chow mein it was plentiful. And for a small size this was served last. That was a huge disappointment for us. All in all, this place is okay. Everytime we come back there is always an item or two that would be different in servings or lack in flavor. A pretty legit dim sum cafe in Summerlin! as we walked in we were greeted by 3-4 servers and were seated immediately. The auntie who served our table asked what we wanted to drink as a lady with steamed dim sum cart came by. Of course I was going for my usuals: har gaw, shu mai (but to my surprise they also had shrimp shu mai so ofc I had to get an order of that), steamed bbq pork buns, and sticky rice! The rest of the items we ordered from the menu. Some of my favorites included chives chicken and shrimp potstickers and pineapple buns with custard! New goal in life: Try every Dim Sum spot that Las Vegas has to offer. Do you think I can do It? Not without my eating partner! Which is my husband by the way, we love to bond over food and rate every dish and every restaurant we ever go to lol. We had about 2 hours to kill, what better way to kill time than to go eat. Craving of the day, DIM SUM! But I mean who isn't craving dim sum? With our luck, Dim Sum Cafe had just opened up. We arrived around 11:30, few tables filled with chatter all around. The cafe was nice and clean, open space. They still have their Christmas tree up which I pointed out to my husband lol. Nonetheless we were seated, and ordered right away. All of our dim sum came out PIPPING HOT, with the exception of the steamed rice rolls but we'll get into that later. We never had to wait for anything, they all just came out 2 by 2 on a steady pace. We ordered 7 dishes as following: Pork Sui Mai: can't go to dim sum and not order this. It's a staple. Great size, freshly steamed, wrapper was a little on the chewier sticky side, but had good filling. Shrimp Sui Mai: I love a menu that has full shrimp Sui mai. This one was a little disappointing though. Seemed like there was a lot of filler vs just all shrimp. A little too spongey and soft, no bouncy shrimp texture and shrimp flavor itself was pretty mild. Maybe it's just the way they prepared the shrimp but I'll probably skip out on this next time. Fried shrimp balls: Again, with the expectation of biting into a nice shrimp ball, where you can see the chunks of shrimp. This one failed me a bit, I'll give It to them though that they were nice and crispy fresh but I didn't get that good shrimp bite. Somehow It also just didn't taste like shrimp lol, but the texture on this was much better than the shrimp Sui Mai Chicken feet & Pork spare ribs: these were both great. Can't go wrong & yes you do need to order chicken feet for the full experience. Shrimp rice rolls: rice rolls were on the thicker side. I prefer the more soft and silky sheets. Shrimp were okay, sauce was light. Steamed beef tripe: best one I've had, lots of fresh ginger. Cooked perfectly, great texture. All in all, Dim Sum Cafe ranks pretty average on the dim sum scale to me. I don't think I would come out of my way to eat here. I did enjoy that the dining area was nice and open. I like that we're not in the busy bustling area of Chinatown. It makes for a more calm experience. Parking was easy, also their chili oil is really good too.
