Xiao Long Dumpling is my fav right now! The soup dumplings are JUICY and the broth inside is sooo flavorful. I've been to Din Tai Fung and I honestly like this place way more!!! It tastes better and is way more affordable. Service is fast and everything comes out hot every time. 10/10 current obsession!!

We came here after hearing a lot of good things and seeing it recommended as an alternative to Din Tai Fung which we love! We were really looking forward to it, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. We ordered the shrimp & pork soup dumplings, pork soup dumplings, beef chow fun, cucumber salad, and the chocolate xiao long bao. The biggest issue was the dumplings. The dough was extremely thick, chewy, and honestly close to inedible, they pretty much tasted like raw dough with soup inside. Not to mention all of the soup dumplings had a huge clump of dough gathered at the top, which made the texture even worse. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from the dough that made it hard to enjoy. The beef chow fun noodles were ok and probably the best aside from the cucumbers but still just ok! The chocolate xiao long bao were also disappointing and neither of us could finish them, similar issue with the dough as the other dumplings we had, we figured maybe at least the desert would be a good ending to the meal. The one bright spot was the cucumber salad. It was fresh, well-seasoned, and easily the best thing we ordered all night. Maybe it was an off night, but based on our experience, we left pretty disappointed and wouldn't return.

Located in the 99 Ranch shopping center on the far end. This was our first stop if our Vegas, We arrived to Vegas around 8pm. After dropping our luggage at the hotel we took a LYFT to China Town. . We're staying at the Rio so it's close by. It's only 0.8 miles away which equates to a five minute drive. But, if you're taking Lyft you may be waiting 3 times that amount of time for your Lyft. It was $20 to get there and back. Half the cost of the meal. It's also close enough to walk, but it doesn't look too safe at night, as we're not familiar with the area. I'm glad we got a ride. We were seated soon as we walked in around 9:39pm. They close at 11pm. We were cutting it close, but weren't the last to arrive. 2 parties arrived after us. Ordering was a little complicated. First we looked at the mini paper menu and then he clicked on the QR code and a menu with pictures popped up. So much easier to order at a foreign restaurant. This was our first time here. We found them on Yelp and were very pleased with it. We looked on the paper menu and picked out the sautéed spinach with garlic. With a weekend of indulgence a dark leafy green sounded good. We then wanted to order the beef chow fun. Then we transferred to the app and they were now out of chow fun. How disappointing. It was tough to choose another . We finally settled on the House Special Chow mein. They still had that in stock. It came with beef, chicken, shrimp cabbage, ect.it was really good. Just note all portions are very small. The chow mein was really tasty. I Reccomend it along with the sautéed spinach. It was still large pieces. It didn't totally shrink up like when I made it. Due to the small portions we were still hungry so we ordered the Shrimp & Pork Soup Dumplings (6). Now that filled is up. Service was good even though we ended ordering off the app. It was nice we could add a dish mid meal. The food came out lightening fast. By the time we were ready to leave the bathroom was closed for cleaning. That was really frustrating. I really wanted to go just before we left.

Easily the best meal we had in Vegas, by far the most fun, and definitely the best value! We actually ate here twice - once we just grabbed takeout and ate in the parking lot (it was so good!!!) and once we had a sit down meal. Prompt, no-nonsense service - we were lucky that there wasn't much of a wait either time. The dumplings are, of course, divine - but we really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and did a lot of sharing. Best to eat the soup dumplings right away, but everything else traveled well.

My boyfriend and I visited Xiao Long Dumpling for a late night snack. We've passed by previously and it always seems to be busy so we figured a packed dining room was a good sign, so we were excited to finally give it a try! We started with the spicy edamame. The edamame itself was perfectly cooked, tender with just the right bite, but the dry spicy seasoning was just ok and didn't add much excitement like I hoped for. The star of the meal was definitely the sautéed green beans. These were SO good. The savory sauce was packed with flavor, and the texture was spot on. I'd come back just to order these again. For dumplings, I tried the shrimp dumplings since I don't eat pork, and unfortunately a lot of the dumpling options contain pork. The shrimp filling was fine, but the wrapper was a bit tough, making the dumplings slightly rubbery. As someone who usually loves dumplings, I'm hoping this was just an off night. My boyfriend ordered the Szechuan noodles, and they were his least favorite dish. He thought the smell seemed off and ultimately ended up sending them back. He said he definitely wouldn't order them again. We also tried the chicken wings. They were okay. They were fried very hard and could have used more seasoning. On the positive side, the service was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. Overall, the food was just okay for us, which was surprising given how popular the restaurant seems to be. Maybe we simply ordered the wrong dishes, because there were definitely some bright spots (sautéed green beans!). I'd be willing to give it another try, but not sure when.

3.75 stars Visiting from the east coast and was craving some dumplings and noodles! The soup dumplings were definitely the highlight of the whole meal. Cooked perfectly, good temperature and flavor, didn't pop as soon as you picked them up. We got the standard pork and truffle ones. Dan Dan noodles - noodles were cooked perfectly. Sauce was flavorful but very peanut forward and little heavy than we are used to. Chili oil dumplings - dumplings were good but I was surprised that the sauce was the same as the Dan Dan noodles. I would have ordered one of the two. Pan fried soup dumplings - good but heavy. Would not order again and would rather just do more soup dumplings. Green beans - flavorful but not very crispy The Thai iced and Vietnamese iced coffee were solid. I would prioritize the soup dumplings if I return in the future!

Came here because I was craving some XLB, and went with a friend. We arrived around 8pm, it was somewhat crowded but we were able to get seating relatively quickly with a small party of 2. They provide 2 menus, one with all their food items and another for drinks (alcohol included). You can put in all orders of interest at once, stating how many of each item you'd like to order. They also have a QR code to put in your order digitally if you prefer that method. In addition, you can request orders to go at the end if you would like to bring some more home - it will take extra time for them to prepare afterwards so make sure you put it in early enough or you may have to wait after finishing your food. We ordered three different entrees, the house special soup dumplings, shrimp and pork dumplings, and chili and pork dumplings. Ginger is also provided, along with soy sauce and chili oil for dipping. The house special is pretty traditional and always a good starting baseline if you don't know what to order. The shrimp and pork dumplings were also quite delicious, where the shrimp provides a nice balance to the pork taste. And the chili and pork soup dumplings or else so quite accurate as expected, with the spiciness level typical of adding chili oil. In the specific dumplings they added chili oil alongside the pork and soup inside of the dumplings. It may be due to crowds today, but in this particular experience wasn't the best in my opinion. When the dumplings came out, they were nice and hot but some of them also stuck to the paper so they ripped and spilled the soup out. My friend told me that when she went before, it didn't happen to her party so it might have just been unlucky but it does take away from a good experience and not being able to eat the soup dumpling whole as you should to enjoy both the soup and the meat filing. Will have to try again whenever I'm in town. Overall, this spot is a great spot if you want some XLB (soup dumplings). They have a variety of soup dumplings, as well as regular dumplings and other entrees such as different fried rice as well as noodles etc. the dumplings hit the spot and are always great and full of flavor. Would definitely still recommend coming here even though my experience today wasn't the best.

Pan fried bun, Shanghai rice cakes, crab & pork Xiao long Bao, beef roll/pancake
    Laura L.

Ordered takeout from here. Pretty solid Chinese food! Favorites would have to be the Shanghai rice cakes and green beans (not pictured). They were both so full of flavor and a good texture. Rice cakes were chewy with a good salty umami. Same to be said about the green beans. Xiao long baos were above average. Same with the buns. The beef rolls were average compared to ones I've had in LA. I think the bing on the outside could be crispier, and wish the inside beef was more tender and flavorful. Inside looked fairly big - a good spot if you're craving Chinese food!

Xiao Long Dumplings is very spacious and clean, offering a much larger dining area than most of its competitors. The service was standout, very friendly and incredibly fast, and the parking was easier to navigate than at other popular spots in the area. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The combination fried rice was a definite hit, as were the potstickers, which were a nice size and had a perfect fry on them. However, the dumplings themselves didn't live up to our usual favorite spot. The pan-fried XLB buns were a miss: a bit too doughy, not hot enough in the center, and lacked that signature crispy bottom. Similarly, the steamed XLB were flat and had skins that were a bit too thick. Xiao Long Dumplings is part of a growing trend in Las Vegas's "Chinatown" district (Spring Mountain Road), which has become one of the most dense and diverse Asian culinary corridors in the United States. It's a comfortable and efficient place to dine, but if you are a dumpling purist, the texture of the skins might not be exactly what you're looking for.

Service was good but I was a bit underwhelmed with the menu. The soup dumplings are tasty. We enjoyed the Dan Dan noodles as well despite there not being any ground pork in it. The noodles were light and had a nice texture. My husband liked the pork buns. We had the spicy beef soup and it was just okay - not that flavorful.

A great and more affordable alternative to Din Tai Fung. The food never disappoints, and the dumplings are always delicious. I also love their strawberry boba drink--it's the perfect addition to the meal. Good food, good prices, and a place I keep coming back to.

We came on a Wed for lunch. We were seated right away for a party of 4. The waitress for our table was EXCELLENT. She was attentive, always refilling our drinks without us asking, giving us napkins and straws right away and was always watching our table to take away empty plates. The 3 start updated review here (since 2022) is because the food was just okay: 1.The soup dumplings were disappointing: 6 in an order by the pieces were tiny, about the size of a quarter, much smaller than I remembered. If they worry about the cost, I would gladly pay more for a decent size soup dumplings. But to be served with those, that was kind of insulting for their patrons. 2. The shrimp dumplings were disappointing as they came with the egg noodle wonton wraps and not the white wraps. They were okay, kind of dry... 3. The eggrolls were disappointing to me too. Just filled with cabbage, no flavor what so ever. 4. beef chow fun was ok...I have had better else where. 5. Fried calamari was decent and I enjoyed that the most, out of all the things we ordered. 6. pan fried buns - these were okay too. Nothing to write about... Not sure if I would come back here again due to such a disappointing experience with their food this time.

One warning, delivered in good faith to diners: we once held a 9:30pm reservation that Palette accepted without comment, then called us to request we move it because the kitchen closes around that time. The reservation system, as of our last check, still accepts 9:30 bookings. Whether the kitchen situation has evolved is unclear. What is clear is that the right move is to verify before you arrive, or simply book earlier. Vegas' Chinatown is vast. Not all of it deserves your time. This one does.
