Had lunch here recently, first time here. First the place was nice and clean. I will say the main sitting area near buffet was very warm good thing they sat us near the windows. The staff were polite and efficient. Selection of food was great and they had plenty out. The naan or pita bread was very good and went well with the hummus. Today our experience at dimassi's Mediterranean buffet in Cerritos was horrible. The cashier Vanesa was rude accusing two of our friends that they didn't paid. We told her that they did but she didn't believe us. She said that they have to come back and prove it. We told her to check the security cameras she said that she didn't had access to the security cameras. She said in a rude way that she was going to call security and was telling all the customers in front of her that our friends didn't paid it was so embarrassing that all the customers inside and the ones that were coming in were hearing that. When our fiends drove back and came inside as soon as she saw our friend she told him that she remembered him paying. Six of our friends was the first time coming to the buffet and they're never coming back. My husband and I are never going back and every friend and family we are going to tell them not to go to that buffet because people like this cashier Vanesa make people not wanting to come back. Our friends that she accused of not paying can get a lawsuit to the restaurant if they want to. The owners of the restaurant should be careful by selecting their workers in their business. This location is right next to my office so I came out here with my colleagues. It's nice because they accommodate large groups and you can also pay individually. There is also a loyalty program you can sign up for which is nice. I believe lunch is about $20? but I can't remember. The food is good but the desserts are just okay in my opinion. During my son's visit, I mentioned this restaurant to him, and he was excited to try their food. We drove to the location for 45 minutes, encountered traffic, and arrived at 4:05 pm. The best meats were the gyro and chicken with bone in. The chicken was fall of the bone tender and juicy. The kabob chicken and beef meatball were too dry. We didn't try the fish because it was too large of a piece. Price for weekday lunch was very reasonable! There were plenty of tables, but I imagine it gets crowded on the weekends. Our first time trying Mediterranean food. The food was delicious, the place impeccably beautiful, and the ambiance happy and full of laughter. Our group of eight were having a great time until the minute we approached the cashier. Vanessa, the cashier attendant was rude and unprofessional. She embarrassed us in front of other costumers strongly affirming that two of our group members who left few minute before us didn't pay. Because we were sure they did, we gave her several suggestions to verify by checking the number of transactions between the time frame a picture was taken next to the cashier and the time we were at the cashier, and she didn't bother to verify. We suggested that someone check the cameras. and again she said in front of other costumers that she didn't need to check because she was sure the couple didn't pay. Although our friends had a commitment somewhere else, we had to make them come back because Vanessa called the male waitress to intimidate us. When our friends drove back to the restaurant, as soon as Vanessa saw them, she " remembered" they have paid. What a way to ruin the great time and the way we will remember our sacred food. I strongly suggest she is sent to take some costumer service training because the fact that she didn't remember, it's understandable, but they way she treated us in front of other costumers and making big scene by calling the male waitress to intimidate us was rude, unacceptable, and unprofessional. Went with some friends for lunch! We saw this place go viral on TikTok and decided to give it a try. We got there at 11:30am on a Wednesday and there was no wait at all! There's plenty of seating. Food was just alright in my opinion, which is why I give 3 stars. The dishes that stood out to me were the eggplant and hummus. They had a huge variety of hummus. My favorites were the avocado hummus and spicy hummus. Some of the desserts were a bit too sweet for my liking. My favorite dessert had to be the rice pudding. It had a floral undertone to it. I couldn't finish the rest because of how sweet it was. However $20 for a buffet is a pretty good deal! Plus, it's nice that the meal also came with a fountain drink! Dimassi's has been one of my list of restaurants to visit for a while now, and today, I was finally able to try it for lunch. I visited at 3:15pm and was told by the hostess that lunch ends at 4pm, and to make sure to pay by 4:30 before dinner price starts. Parking: Free Ambiance: Very clean, simple but beautiful, minimalist style decor, spacious, and quiet. They also have large rooms for special occasions. Lunch Buffet: ($19.99) They have everything I'm craving for in Mediterranean food! Exceptionally clean buffet station with plenty of selections, and everything tasted good. There's a couple of meat dishes that were a little dry but it didn't really bother me. The lunch buffet also comes with a drink, and they also have a dessert station. Can't beat the price! Service: Friendly and attentive staff. The hostess accepted my payment by 4pm so I can enjoy my meal and not worry about the time as they switched to dinner. Our original plan was to go to Pasta E Pasta in Cerritos before going to see Marvels at Regal but my daughter, bless her heart, misread Yelp and looked at the hours for the Los Angeles location instead of Cerritos which is closed on Tuesday (Ay Caramba!). This meant going into emergency mode before the movie. A relative had recommended this restaurant which worked out well since it's located in the same center as Edward's Regal. As we entered, we were pleasantly greeted and instructed to sit at any open table and that we would pay at the end of the meal even though it was a buffet. The dining area was extremely clean and fairly large. There was a long line of assorted Mediterranean dishes as well as some standard buffet fare such as pizza and fried chicken. There was an excellent variety of salads to begin with as well as 3 types of hummus; regular, spicy, & avocado which I have never seen before. I continued down the line and added Kafka kabob, chicken kabob, grape leaves, meatballs, falafel, and a slice of cheese pizza which I probably should have skipped in retrospect. During dinner, you can order one lamb shank as well but you have to ring a bell on the counter and someone will come out from the kitchen in order to help you. I was so surprised to find all of the meat items were so tender and flavorful. The falafel was also excellent. The lamb shank was mind blowing in that it was so tender, you didn't even need to use a knife in order to cut the meat. It's unfortunate that you are limited to only one unless you are willing to pay extra for more portions. The salads were fresh and tasty. Both types of rice were prepared just right. Their warm bread was to die for. It was sooooo good. Just dipping that in hummus would have been satisfying. Soda from the fountain is also included in the buffet price. Most buffets charge you a couple of dollars extra so that just added to the value of this buffet. At $25.99 for dinner, I thought this was an extremely good value. Lunch is $19.99 and the only difference is that the lamb shank is not included. I wouldn't mind driving the 20-30 minutes it takes to get here in order to enjoy their food once again. It was an extremely pleasant experience and even though our movie was a bit of a let down, the dinner made our evening a successful family night out on the town. read more
