    Receipt "Service Charge Notice"
    Mona N.

Removing some stars from my previous review. I love the food here but recently went and noticed something new...they AUTOMATICALLY ADD SERVICE CHARGES...and they note that it is not the same as a TIP! Wth??? "Tip is not required" but they leave the spaces for them to be added anyway. These additional charges are getting out of hand. The receipt also says it's for fair wages...shouldn't the employer be the one paying the fair wages and not the customers?

A decent bbq place. The foods quality were great for the price. We chose the 2nd tier for the galbi short ribs. I think there was a limit of 2 orders pp. The buffet bar was included in all tiers. Meats were ordered thru the tablet. I have been here twice now. The first time, the short ribs were more tender. I enjoyed the buffet options. They have fried veggies tempura, soup, cold noodles, assortments of sour pickles veggies, rice papers, mash potatoes, fried rice, japchae, ice cream, and etc. The downside...corn cheese, soft drinks, and etc were not included. Could order thru the tablet. Service was great both time. 2nd time was better. The server came back to change our grill 3 times. Thank you for that. She also cleaned out the finished plates. Meats came out fairly quickly after each order. The only thing I m not too happy about was the service fee over tipping. On the bill, there was a 10% service charge to help cover the staffs' wages?? It was nice to see that no tipping was required, but then it also stated that the 10% service fee was not considered a gratuity. Hmm...why are we expected to help with employee's paycheck? And if we don't give a tip because no tipping required, then we are considered horrible people ? I dunno if there were some agreements with owner and staffs to get paid more with the 10% service charge instead of getting tips...anyways, if I m already needing to help pay for wages then is tipping really necessary? Is like I am giving double to the servers...

It's been a min since I last visited. Came here with friends to introduce them to KBBQ and safe to say they all enjoyed their first KBBQ experience! Love the banchan buffet. All the meats were delicious and marinated well. Service was quick, efficient, and nice. The host was nice enough to hold the table for us. Everyone has to be present in order to be seated. They were poppin' during dinner time, so plan accordingly. They'll still have a time limit of 1.5 hours. Don't forget desserts at the end! They didn't have cones this time; only cups.

We were around the area and I wanted to find a lunch AYCE bbq and found this! It was actually a lot larger inside than we thought. We added my name and number of people on the touchpad and the wait was roughly 20 minutes. They texted me once our table was ready and we got a booth seating. The side dishes were all at the Buffet, super convenient since we can get what we want and as much as we want. They had so much options, not sure if they change the menu periodically but I love the fried tempura, radish slices, banchans, and japchae. We told the server we wanted. Regular menu at $24 and they handed us our QRCode. We ordered the meat on our phone so I got to order as much as I want without a time limit. I think the poor cheek was too thick, hard to cook and cut. Sirloin was ok, also hard to cut. Curry pork belly was new to us, it did burn the grill more than bulgogi. I think brisket, beef belly, and regular pork belly are still my go to. The drinks are not refillable, you can choose a can or their 32oz fountain drink. The servers are usually there for drinks, handing out meat, and if there are questions you have. But there's a %10 service charge added to every check and it is not gratuity! So make sure to tip on top of that total. Ice cream looked good but I didn't have any. What's worse is I didn't realize they had oranges and jello near the front! It was a big buffet so I didn't realize I missed a section.

    Cherry jello was really good!!

Pulled up to Top Grill BBQ on a Sunday at 11:30 expecting the usual Disneyland-length wait... and somehow walked right in like VIPs. Family party of 12 took over 2 tables and immediately entered competitive meat mode!!! Great layout, despite the restaurant being packed, it did not feel overwhelmingly crowded. PRO TIPS: *Park on the side lot unless you enjoy circling like a hungry hawk. *Every person gets 1 free soda can, which honestly felt like a tiny victory before the real chaos began. *Banchan is self-serve. *Meats are ordered through QR code, so yes, your phone officially becomes your meat dealer!!! *There are 4 menu tiers: **Happy Hour: $19.99 **AYCE: $23.99 **AYCE Premium: $28.99 **Prime Dinner: $45.99 We went with the $28.99 Premium AYCE because the galbi ribs and rib fingers alone make it feel like you're robbing the place legally!! Great value for your wallet!!! The bulgogi was tender, packed with Asian pear marinade magic, and disappeared faster than family gossip at the dinner table!!! It was that good!! The galbi ribs were marinated perfectly and was nice and tender. All other premium meats were delicious!! The self-serve banchan station was dangerous..... one minute you're grabbing kimchi, next thing you know you've built yourself a whole side quest buffet!!! Even when the place got packed, the vibe stayed super chill. Huge shoutout to Jay and Ted for clearing plates at lightning speed and keeping drinks full while we absolutely destroyed tray after tray of meat!! Overall: top-tier AYCE Korean BBQ without the wallet trauma. Great service, great prices, and enough grilled meat to make you bring your family here for celebrations!!! Highly recommend!!!!

Ambiance: it's a spacious Korean bbq place, located in a large plaza with ample parking available, they also have a private room to host large party Service: friendly and attentive, refilled water and changed grills adequately Food: overall poor quality of meat served in small portions, and impressive self self side dishes Salad Bar - **** they have plenty of classic side dishes, and I particularly like their tempura, buckwheat noodles, and pumpkin porridge, recommend Butcher's Choice Top Blade - *** average Tender Pork Jowl - **** chewy texture, recommend Top Signature Seasoned Sirloin Steak - *** dry meat Spicy Gochujang Pork Belly - *** spicy and dry Cajun Rub Shrimp - * externally salty and not fresh Spicy Marinated BBQ Squid - *** average Classic Brisket - *** average Premium Beef Belly - *** average Soft Serve - *** ice cream in the end, mix flavor of vanilla and chocolate, the machine was sort of broken for the day and they couldn't fix it, rarely any chocolate flavor Price: it was really hit or miss for their food quality, expect $30+ per person

On a Sunday 11am in April, my family waited for Top Grill to open. There was lots of people waiting too. We got seated right away and our server was nice. First we picked the cheapest $23.99 and scanned the barcode to order the meats. We also got a free soda can with our meal. The salad and banchan bar has 3 stations-rice, fried rice, teeboki, and soups for 1st station. The 2nd station had cucumber slices , bok choy, fish cakes, etc. The last station had salad, radish wraps, potato salad, etc. We ordered 6 plates of meats at a time -beef belly, and other beef, but their pork belly was thick thickness. The server came by to change our plate. Overall good atmosphere and food.

If you are craving AYCE KBBQ in OC and don't want to spend an arm and a leg come to top grill!!! The prices here are so worth it. On weekdays it's all day 23.99 for a GREAT menu with tons of meat options. I went on a Saturday so it was 28.99 which was also a great deal considering the 28.99 option had more high quality meats. The service is quick and fast with our server always being there to give us a grill the change. The restaurant is huge! I love the side bars, I could probably get my moneys worth in just eating sides. The best sides are the japchae, cucumbers, and fish cake! My only criticisms are that the ventilation Isnt the best so you'll be smelling very heavily of meat after and the floors r kinda slippery!

    Natasha T.

One of the best KBBQ that has a full area of side dishes and tteokbokki, fried eggplant and pumpkin along with cold noodles and rice with so much more. Its always busy even if you head exactly at 4pm when they open there would be people waiting outside just to eat in. Pretty decent prices, great places to AYCE and catch up with friends. Its a go to spot for my friends and I, and we live pretty far from Buena Park and would make it a mission to head to this spot for KBBQ. Yes, you read that right and yes, there are some pretty great KBBQ spots in Irvine and L.A. but this place just hits. Waiting was that long on a Friday evening, we ust had to wait until all our party was here in order to be seated, staff was pretty fast and so was the servicces, we ordered over the QR code and they be on it. it got busy fast, full house by 5pm and there was a bunch of people on the waitlist and here a fun fact, if you're five miles away you can be added on waitlist via yelp. That is a very helpful tip since my friends and I, live very far away or coming from Disney.

We came on a Saturday afternoon, I was honestly nervous of the lunch rush. For a party of 3 around 1PM we got sat immediately! After declaring which menu we will be ordering from, our server presented a QR code for us to scan. I love this new feature! Scan the QR code and you can order 5 items on the menu every 5 minutes. While you order, go up and go to the salad bar! There are so many choices, from panchan to hot items. They do not disappoint! I recommend grabbing a plate to create your combination of side dishes, grabbing a bowl of rice and after setting everything down, don't forget to make your sauces. The service was incredible. I noticed our server constantly glancing at our table for anything needed, such as water refills, taking empty/dirty dishes and changing the grill. All your utensils and napkins are in your booth, don't forget to check around before you ask your server. I love Top BBQ Pocha Grill and have been raving about it. We brought a friend visiting and they were impressed! Thanks for making me look good lol. See you soon!

Great service. Wide selection, quality meats! You can order everything on your phone. Large restaurant as well. Overall had a great experience!

We heard about this kbbq and wanted to try it due to the low price. It's not like your average kbbq where the banchan is brought to your table, instead the banchan is set up buffet style where in the main hall there is a long cafeteria like center that you can grab your own side dishes (which include all the normal banchan like pickled veggies etc. but also cold buckwheat noodles, hot soups, fried rice and more). The meat and a few specialty sides are ordered through your phone and brought out very quickly. My overall impression was excellent and we'll be back.

Review 50/365 Day Challenge Was looking for a new Korean BBq spot w gopchang for the Birthday girl who enjoys large/small intestines. We were really please to come dine here for a table of 7. Reservations were really easy to make mid day. Once RSVP was made. Received a text regarding our reservation info. Got a text the day b4 along a few hours day of. We got the Prime Dinner Menu. Lots of Meat selections and were really good. We took advantage of the large and small intestines along w the pork jowl. Our server Hannah (manager) was really sweet, nice, attentive and very accommodating. We are given a barcode to scan for our table and the meats are brought to us on what we ordered thru our phone. As for the banchans, cold noodles, da bookie, tempura, fried rice of what i could remember. It's self serve and unlimited AYCE like the meats we ordered. Including soft serve ice cream you're welcome to take to go. They have disposable sauce cups available for the ice cream. Bbq grill is easily changed by the associates as needed to along with the air ventilation was really good. FYI there is a 90 min time limit. It goes by pretty fast. Such a bummer. They have another area that's closed off. Can be use for a private party/celebration. Restaurant is like a Korean bbq restaurant. Nothing really stood out. I'd think for the ambiance atmosphere, the prime dinner menu should be more around $ 39.99/$ 40 since it's not really an upscale type of Korean bbq. But the services is top tier. Balances out. Lots of parking available.

I love that you order off their kiosk which is conveniently located at the table already. The staff was quick to bring out the banchan. To start, we shared their leek pancake and pork blood sausage. For my lunch I went with their cold noodles since it was a cold day. The people I came with had some pork spare ribs, which came with rice and bone knee soup. And a bibimbap. The leek pancake was the best thing there. The pork blood sausage was more of rice noodles rolled up with pork blood flavored. I can't imagine it being much portion. Eveything else was bland which we all agreed to. For my cold noodles I added plenty of vinegar and mustard but it was not it. Still lacked flavor. Also it only had half a boiled egg and two verythin slices of beef. The pork was over cooked, dry, and lacked flavor. The bibimbap was also bland even with their red sauce. We we were all disappointed. The pricing is affordable. The staff was nice and quick. They made sure to check up on us. Parking here is a tough even though it was a weekday. This was just really meh to me.

Not only was I completely stuffed by the end, but every course felt so thoughtfully selected that I left feeling truly nourished within my body and soul. We ordered the Premium Han-Jeongsik, which featured a non-stop parade of incredible small plates: porridge, salad, radish water kimchi, spicy beef tartare, pan-fried sliced beef, braised short ribs, glass noodles with assorted vegetables, savory pancakes, seasonal scallops, and a rich kimchi stew. The dining experience felt wonderfully elegant as each course was brought out sequentially, allowing us to fully savor every unique flavor and texture. To top it off, they finished with my favorite sweet rice punch to cleanse the palate. While it certainly isn't cheap, this is definitely a "celebrate a special occasion or pretend you're royalty for an evening" kind of place. Lastly, the exceptional service makes every penny worth it. If you want to experience authentic, high-end Korean cuisine, look no further.

It didn't get so full that there were no seats but it does get very crowded. Anyway, I don't know what we got since my cousin orders everything but the food was amazing. All the meat was really good and better than most Korean BBQ places I've been to. I would highly recommend this place if you don't mind paying the price
