I have been to the Richardson location so I knew what the place was like but this location is much better!!! The staff are so very friendly and the food is very fresh! I tried 3 meats and all were moist and seasoned well. The only complaint I have is the glasses were small. I had to fill up 3 times. Will defiantly be back! read more

I have never taken the time to write a bad review, but his place is truly terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. The food was not good, some of it cold, the gyro meat was tough, and overall the food just tastes bad. It's also so loud that it's the equivalent of being in a high school gym during a game-- the acoustics are really bad. Just came back from DiMassis in Irving. We have eaten at the Richardson location several times, but this was our first time in Irving. It is much cleaner and more attractive than the Richardson location and has more rice and vegetable choices on its line. And since it was Saturday, we got lamb shanks with our meal. I am always satisfied with DiMassis and think you get good value for the price--especially when you can snag a Groupon as we did. But when you consider that your drink and dessert is included (oh how I love that baklava!!!), even the regular price is pretty fair. I'm not saying the food is the best in the world, but it is all pretty good and some excellent. My husband is more of a veggie person than I am, and he really liked their spinach and okra and fell in love with their lentil and spinach soup. I enjoyed the smoky flavor of the baba ganousch (sp?); the white rice dish was great as well as the pasta with chicken. And the lamb shank just melted in your mouth. Plus that baklava... Yes, the ambiance is lacking; as some said, it is like a school cafeteria, but they do keep the tables bussed better than the other location does, and the cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. Some of the meat was a little dry although the counter workers seemed to refill and refresh it often, and some of the food was a little bland. But as I said, some things were excellent. So four stars instead of five, and we will surely be back! (This is just an aside: I was looking around at the clientele: every shape, color, nationality, style of dress and, I suppose, religion, seemed to be represented, and yet everyone was polite and friendly and seemed to get along with everyone else, while the people around the Mediterranean/Middle East where this food originates can't seem to respect each other or get along at all. Makes me thankful to be a part of the American melting pot. Sure, we have our problems, but mostly we all accept and respect each other, and all get along, and I can go to a restaurant with people different than myself and not worry about being shot, bombed or blown up. The falafel is outstanding, definitely the best in Irving. I don't know what it is called, but the herb-covered flatbread also is to die for. Their chicken is so much better than Andalous (their closest competitor) that Andalous should be ashamed of itself, but the real difference between Dimassi's and Andalous is that Dimassi's a full dinner. You can choose from a variety of tasty veggies, fish, beef, chicken, lamb, etc or try a little of everything! Then grab a coffee and a couple of desserts to round out the meal. Everything from the buffet to soda, tea, coffee and dessert is included in the price. I eat here regularly and always find something new to love. I highly recommend this Dimassi's, they have a great selection of items and the staff quickly refills anything that runs low. I have never been dissatisfied, only complaint is that they charge more on the weekends for the same exact items. What a lack of quality I have found today at this restaurant. Chicken was dry and cold in the middle, tabuli looked and taste like if it were been using for days, lamb legs without seasoning and it seems that they put hot liquid over it to make look fresh cooked, soups are old and reheated. Where to start! Last time I counted it was over 50 different selections of items to choose from. It's all you can eat so that means that you can try all those items in one sitting if your stomach could handle it haha. Drinks are included which is a big plus, and they have a great salad selection. Great Middle Eastern food with a wide variety of choices. Delicious fresh salads made with real Kalamata olives (not canned), good grilled veggies, baba ghanouj, hummus and juicy meats, especially the gyros and lamb shank (ask a buffet worker after 4 p.m. ) The baklava is excellent with a hint of cinnamon. Fresh fruits if you're watching your weight. Easy to pig out with all these wonderful selections. Hot pita bread is thick and chewy, not thin like most places. Big room that can get very noisy with families and children so try to come between lunch and dinner if you don't like crowds. A bargain for the quality and variety. Enjoy! read more

Great Experience. I've had bad experiences in the past at other Dimassi locations in Dallas/Austin/Houston, but this one was very good. The most impressive thing is the amount of meat options they have in their menu, more then any other locations. Food was very hot and fresh, great for vegetarians as well. Wow, what a great place! Much more to offer than Terra (down the street)... Baklava complimentary with the buffet. The food was excellent. I went at 2pm and everything was still fresh and being brought out and refilled within a few minutes and it wasn't even busy. The staff were all super nice too. Overall a great experience. Owners are Jordanian. The food is authentic and really good. I'd come all the time if I was leaving nearby. The room is cafeteria style though. So you come here for the food, not the atmosphere. Staff is very friendly too. I highly recommend, healthy and tasty. read more

Have been going to the Campbell location my whole time living in the DFW area. I'm starting to come here more often because of work, and I must say, this is much better than the one in Campbell (even though I love the one on Campbell so much).
