This is the type of dealership that give car salesmen such a bad name. I had done my homework before walking into the dealership. I had gone online and figured out exactly which options, what model, what color, everything I wanted in the car I wanted to buy. I participate in the GM Family First program so I have access to all the base info. All I needed them to do was to tell me how much the car would cost in terms of taxes, documentation fees, etc., the type of info they don't put online. After the salesman tried to upsell me by showing me a car that I didn't want I finally was told the manager wouldn't allow the salesmen to give me the bottom line cost for the car I really wanted. I contrast that with my experience at a GMC dealership where the salesmen gave me exactly what information I was looking for and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I bought a used car from them there was moisture in one of the lights, so I brought it back 2 days after I bought it they said it should have been fixed before you bought it. They fixed it, I found out they put a used light in, and a months later there was moisture in it again, I brought it back they said they would not replace it and it would cost 3000 dollars to put a new light in. Horrible dishonest dealer. Their prices on the web are "after a $2000 trade in allowance" right there that goes to show how dishonest and deceitful this dealership it. So basically their prices are all $2000 higher just a straight up LIE to get you in. Then on top of that they charge $999.50 to do the paperwork, again a total scam and ripoff! Not being from Florida I took my car here. My car was here for two day to get a a/c compressor. I have been a mechanic my whole life and ran a shop I did not have time to correct this problem my self but have changed thousands. I have never spent over 300$ on a new compressor they charged me over $1100, is it made out of gold? This place is a rip off they don't know what they are doing!! Bought an $80k truck from them in December, the ad on their website said clean autocheck and no accidents. Went to look at the car and seemed good, they were polite and really tried to sell us the car, (as all dealerships do). When we asked if had previously been in any accidents, they told us no. They said it was a trade in and one owner before us. They said the autocheck was clean and pulled up a quick review of it. We ended up buying the car. Less then 6 months later, we go for a full checkup and that dealership shows us that OUR FRAME WAS CRACKED AND HAD PREVIOUSLY TRIED TO BE FIXED. We then ordered are carfax ourselves and it showed the truck was in a SEVERE ACCIDENT WITH FRONT END DAMAGE ENDING WITH A CRACKED FRAME!! It was not repaired properly and sold to us upon lies that it was never in an accident and had been traded in. We also found out that they had bought it from an auction and it was never traded in!! Talked to the auction company and all. When called to confront dealership about it, they were horrible. Told us it was "our word against theirs" and hungup the phone! The MANAGER WAS THE ONE WHO SAID THIS!! After he got his big bonus from us buying an $80k truck, he treated us like garbage and it was our own problem to fix. We now have to pay $10k to fix a cracked frame and all the issues it caused on top of that leaving us with a $16k bill on a truck we have owned for less then 6 months. We got a Chevy Volt in The summer of 2019. It was a "no haggle price" online. Our local dealer couldn't match it, so we went to Dimmit. Our sales guy knew NOTHING about the Volt, but I figured it was because maybe they just don't sell a lot of electric cars so it's newer to him. When negotiating and asking why they were charging astronomical amounts for things like servicing and cleaning the car on site (literally like $4k for in house services), the sales guy was telling me I was "mean" every time I'd ask him a question or "wow, she's smart" when I'd calculate something on my phone. Not to mention talking about me nursing my daughter non-stop. When we got to financing, the guy helping us was super nice and straight forward. He told us "if there are any warranties you get, I'd definitely get gap and the one that covers the computer because if the computer goes down in an electric car, it's useless." So we paid several thousand dollars more for the warranty, which boosted our monthly payments significantly and had us financing more than it's worth. But using the warranty once would make it pay for itself. This security felt worth it. We started having issues with it almost immediately (the battery charger stopped working completely, the undercarriage had been rigged up so when we drove it, it was dragging the ground & the battery Door was messed up). When we'd call, there were "specific people" we were told to talk to but no one would return calls. Finally, they got him in to service it, not-ironically, days after his dealer warranty was up. Service ended up coming back and claiming the issues weren't covered under the extended warranty, and he was outside the dealer warranty by days by the time they got back to him, so we needed to pay for a new charger, they wouldn't touch the undercarriage issue and wanted us to pay a fee just for looking at the car to diagnose. No one would budge (And an electric car is pointless without being charged) until I wrote online reviews detailing the issue. They got our finance guy involved and turns out the main charger issue was not covered by our extended because it's covered by Chevy as a whole (up until 100k miles- a quick google search will tell you the details). So how many other people have paid for this same issue that is COVERED by Chevy's warranty instead of digging deeper? And why did NO ONE in service or the entire dealership know it was covered by the manufacturer warranty? And their "compromise" on the undercarriage was to just cut off a chunk of it, which was ineffective, so it's still dragging to this day. That was only the first ordeal with the car.. Fast forward to January and the entire computer system stops working. The car runs but you can see nothing- no reverse camera, no radio, none of the car stats etc. We feel grateful we invested in the computer warranty! We take it in to our local dealer because we didn't ever want to return to Dimmit. The woman in service tells us "oh yeah, this is a known electric issue. It should be covered under the computer warranty". The warranty doesn't transfer from Dimmit so she has to have it emailed to her. Then we get a call back from her to say the warranty company denied fixing it and it's thousands of dollars to have it repaired. And Another diagnostic fee. We called the warranty company and told them "I'm looking at the brochure for the warranty and it says this is covered." To which they inform us that this is actually a problem with Dimmit. They don't just buy a specific warranty off the brochure you have- they have control over what tier they submit you as, which is why your warranty didn't transfer over to the other dealer and Dimmit had to send it to them via email. You're going to have to go back to Dimmit. We have left multiple messages for Dimmit finance trying to get to the guy who set us up (and who helped last time) but can't get anyone from the department on the phone. When we ask for him by name they say no one works or worked here with that name. Yet we have his signature on our paperwork. read more

Ok, long story short, took my 21 year old daughter for her to purchase a truck. Found a used 2019 truck that had a sticker price of $31K. After test driving it and getting an estimate on her trade in the cost of the vehicle went to 39K. Needless to say I got pissed. This is a classic "bate and switch" tactic. So surprised that Dimmitt would do this. They were actually going to charge her 2K because her trade in was not a 2012 or later model. They tacked on several other charges other than tax and title. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because I've dealt with a sales rep before named Richard and he seemed upfront and honest. I mentioned the terms and conditions through text extensively of what terms I was looking for, my credit score, the vehicle and the price. If those terms isn't what your going for don't waste my time to come in and look at the purchase of what I mentioned isn't the terms from off the bat. I'll never be back here again. What it is: I was heated and was wrong cause I heard possible options and simply ran with it mentally with an incorrect understanding. I was gonna delete the post but figured I'd leave it up if you're quick to read the negativity off the bat. If you google Chevrolet incentives, you'll see that the truck I plan to buy doesn't have the incentives I thought were there. Definitely ask for him and tell him Jake K sent you. This guy is a top notch dude and not your average salesman. He is extremely knowledgable and will tell you when he doesn't know something. He's polite, not pushy, and will make sure you're doing what's best for YOUR interests. I was looking at a used vehicle here and it just didn't fit what I was looking for. Dana showed me other options and we spent time really crunching the numbers favorably. At the end of the day, I left without purchasing because it just wasn't what I wanted, although it was a great deal. I asked to stay in touch via text and he was never overbearing like many dealerships are. Unfortunately I did not have a very good experience recently at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater. Dimmitt Chevrolet installed tires that were too large for my Corvette (no one at their entire service center knew this apparently), and it ended up damaging (cracking) the two panels on my car above the rear tires. Dimmitt did the right thing and offered to fix the panels. I commend them for this. I understand that people make mistakes. This is not why I am writing this. However, it took way too long to fix (24 days), and I feel my car's repairs were not given the urgency they deserved (being caused by a mistake from their own work). This was 24 days I didn't have my car (they did give me a loaner) and I was never offered any sort of compensation for being out of my car for so long. There was no discount and there was not anything to make up for it. The lost time in my car was just my own loss to take. I brought up my concern about this to David, Shannon, and Todd. Despite being told I would be called back and that they would see if anything could be done (in terms of making the lost time good with me), nothing was done and the request was ignored. --- UPDATE --- I posted this Yelp review and also emailed the company about this. Todd & Shannon then replied and offered me "$200 credit for future parts and service" in a written letter. I don't plan on going back though, so this won't do me much good. In my opinion they should have just shown their goodwill gesture with the service I already had. I also shouldn't have to email them and post a Yelp review to get any sort of response. To end on a positive note: The repair job they did to my car does look top-notch, and brand new. I am happy with the new wheels and new panels are repaired like brand new. read more

I purchased my Camaro in 2014 from Dimmett and then referred 3 other people to purchase cars from there including my daughter. Not because of my sales person, but because of the options available for less than perfect credit and being suckered in with the BS online prices that only 3% of the population actually qualifies for. The service department is AMAZING! They are the only reason that I had customer loyalty for 3 years. I no longer own a GM vehicle and I would still take my new car there for maintenance if it were feasible. The body shop and my sales person Abe were my worst experiences in my lifetime of owning vehicles. Scott Collore, I would like to thank you for all that you did to make those expriences better. My last visit at Dimmett was a service visit where I was pulled from waiting into sales and was lied to by using a sleazy sales tactic of telling me that the dealership was looking to buy back my car because there was a high need for 2014 Camaros and he offered to put me into an Equinox with no money down. This sales person is a personal friend and school acquaintence to Lawrence Dimmett. I ended up attempting to trade in my car for a 2017 Camaro SS but unfortunately with a 640 credit score, I was told that my score wasnt high enough for financing and that my payment would be about $800 a month. I was told to come back with at least a 650 and money down. It was very disappointing to be pulled out of service and spend hours on this wild goose chase only to have my dreams squashed. My original Camaro purchase...my score was at 470 and I was financed at 5.9%. To top it off...I leave the dealership back door only to walk into a cloud of smoke because Abe who is is now a finance manager is standing outside the door smoking and makes a smug remark about me trying to purchase another Camaro. Dimmett Chevrolet, I know that there is no love loss in me leaving...but thank you for toying with me and then pushing me away with just another bad sales experience. BTW, Crown just put me in a 2017 beautiful SUV with the works for $31,000 with no money down, and also in the hole by a few thousand with PFCU who also financed my Camaro at 5.9%...and my payment is only $54 a month more at 7.9%. read more

It hadn't even been 8 months and I've paid $3200 for repairing the brake system that failed me while driving on US-19. I get it back from them and now the AC is blowing hot air on the driver's side and throwing a code for loss of refrigerant pressure. Convenient that these things suddenly appear after I purchase the vehicle and then have it repaired. I swore off Ford a long time ago, and now I'm swearing off Chevy. Never again. I was planning on buying a truck soon, and now I'm going to wait for one of the electric ones that aren't Ford or GM to hit the market. The "Big 3" auto makers have ripped people off for too long, I hope the EV revolution puts them out of business. GM should have never been bailed out. My wife's Hyundai, Kia, and Toyota never had issues like this. Done! Update: So I took the vehicle somewhere other than the dealership, and they told me that refrigerant was low. They added dye and used a UV lamp, as well as a tool to detect leaks by pressure, and they said that they could detect no leak whatsoever. They even checked again a few days later (I waited until Monday to pick it up) and could find no leak and it was holding pressure. The mechanic told me that the leak is so small that it is undetectable, or someone deliberately removed the refrigerant... I asked why someone would do such a thing. His reply was, "to cost you more money." Hmmmm..... Update: I've been going to Ferman Chevrolet for all my other needs. Worth the extra drive! They actually gave me a military discount to fix the AC that Dimmitt broke, and I didn't even ask for it! I don't even know how they knew I'm a vet. Anyway, while I was there getting part of the drive battery replaced I did some research. I found out that almost $2,500 of the brake modulator repair should have been covered by the Voltec hybrid warranty! So I went to Dimmitt to tell them they're idiots, and they agreed! However, a year had passed and they told me to screw myself and take it up with Chevy. It took me 3 weeks of fighting with Chevy (and showing them their own warranty) before a refund was finally approved. If you look online, this is not the only case of this happening. Tell me how the Chevy Volt has been around for 10 years and the dealerships and corporate lackeys still aren't educated in their warranty!?! Or, is it by design? Either way, this Volt will be my last GM vehicle, despite Ferman being worlds better than Dimmitt. I'm about to drop 70K on a new truck, and I'm glad GM won't receive a dime! PS: I have a friend who had purchased cars and had them serviced at Dimmitt Chevrolet for decades, now she drives a Hyundai. She hates Dimmitt. Update: Now they're actively blocking me from getting reimbursed. They told Chevrolet that fluids were changed by a non GM tech and that ruined the module somehow. I didn't even have the vehicle 2,000 miles before this occurred, and the Carfax report shows it was only serviced by Chevy dealerships. I've never hated a vehicle manufacturer so much in my life. I'm trading the POS Volt for a Toyota. Update: I spoke to my grandmother at Thanksgiving. She said she calls Dimmitt Chevrolet, "Damnit Chevrolet." I should have spoken to her first. The second car I ever purchased was bought from Dimmitt a few months back. Before entering the dealership I did my homework and went in well educated about what I wanted, how much I should pay and on what terms. I had a specific vehicle in mind. The salesman Christian P was the one who took me on a test drive. Of course I loved the car even more after driving it but was still hesitant to commit as I didn't really NEED a new car immediately, but I decided if I could get the deal I wanted, then I'd do it. So we sat down to crunch numbers and of course the price listed on the website immediately skyrocketed. There are a few promos that were listed that I apparently didn't qualify for, ie loyalty discount, lease renewal discount, etc. plus add the usual dealer fee, tax etc and it's now $5,000 over the list price but I was determined not to get scammed. After HOURS of back and forth, we finally arrived at an agreement. Of course this requires multiple "discussions" with the sales manager, finance and loan company. I had to haggle for a solid 7 hours and jump through the hoops of all their "tricks" (don't fall for the good old "well, what do you want your monthly payment to be? We can just spread out the financing for 84 MONTHS to get the payments down". Yeah, no thanks. How about you give me the sales price I want, waive the dealer fee and throw in some extra incentives). Mind you I had my child with me through the whole experience and they still dragged their feet, probably hoping to tire me out so I'd give in and take it for a higher price. Anyhow, once that whole fiasco was done, the finance guy was a bit easier to work with. After a long long day, I finally walked out with the car I wanted, way under value and feeling victorious. I have felt very satisfied with my purchase and the deal I got. But be warned, if you're not one for price haggling, then this isn't the dealership for you. Tami in the service department is a liar and will not communicate with you. You will walk into the service department with an appointment and you will have multiple people just look at you and continue walking. Almost as if you were wearing an invisibility cloak. The place almost makes you feel like it's magical. If you have an insurance claim avoid this service department at all cost. You would think taking it to a big dealership is the right option but you couldn't be more wrong. Tami will never change, she also is the reason I'll never buy another Chevrolet especially from Dimmitt. Currently contacting the BBB in regards to being swindled from money. Here we are 3 years later. Back again for another Chevy. It's really difficult to deal with any other people, when the folks at Dimmitt really go above and beyond to make sure everyone leaves in a new car. I do not buy, I lease, and I needed some special help getting out of my previous lease. I was over on the allowed mileage by a few hundred and still had 6 months to go! So they threw the "pull ahead lease program" at me, and basically bought out the car's lease and got me set up in 2016 model with a much more forgiving mileage allowance. Payment went up a bit, but I felt like they were doing me a favor. The entire process took about 3.5 hours from the time we pulled up, viewed all the models/colors to the time we stuck the key in the ignition and drove off into the sunset. Again, thank you to Dimmitt for be #1 in customer service. Bryan Sparks in sales, Will in loyalty, everyone was fantastic. The entire experience was quick and painless. The service folks still need a little work though. Last time we showed up for a scheduled oil change, it still took over an hour. Everything else though, spot on! read more

We had a lease on a vehicle which was scheduled to expire this month. Early in the month we went to Dimmit Chevrolet to find out what our buy out options were and whether it would be better to return the car and lease a new one. We had asked for a specific color which they did not have available at the time and were told they would look into it, but he no one called us back. Later in the month, we decided just to buy the vehicle, one because we did not get a call back and two we were running out of time. We called GM Financial to find out the process to buy the vehicle; they gave us a payoff amount and told us to go to the local Chevrolet dealership to finalize the buyout. When we went the dealership, they told us that we have to pay an additional $4,000.00 on top of what the payoff amount given by GM Financial and that we would have to pay for an inspection of 300.00 (neither of which was stipulated in the original Lease Agreement). We asked that the sales person call GM Financial and reconfirm both the Additional $4,000.00 and the $300.00 for the inspection because this is not the same number we were given. For whatever reason it took him so long reach GM Financial, we called ourselves while we were there. They confirmed the correct amount (we should NOT have to pay an additional $4,000.00) and that we do not have to pay for an inspection because we are buying the car. The sales person said that we are required by "LAW" to pay for the $300.00 inspection fee because they are selling us the car and they need to make sure that the car is safe. We told him that we get are car serviced here on a regular basis and that we had recently taken the car in, there were no problems. We asked them to waive the fee and lets just finalize the purchase of the car. He said he doesn't make any money on this deal, and that we have to do the inspection. He insisted he cannot waive the fee and gave no other alternative. So we asked to talk to his manager. The Manager said that he cannot waive the fee even if we have the car serviced there because he would be putting the dealership at risk for a "class action law suit" if they did not inspect the car. We had explained to him that we were told that we do not have to pay the fee and he would not budge. So we said that we will pay the fee then and finalize the sale but we will never buy from Dimmit Chevrolet or service our car here ever again. He said I am sorry you feel that way but you have to pay for the inspection and he walked away. A few moments later, the Manager came back and told us that we are in the wrong and that we should not be upset at them. Then in a condescending tone he told us that we should and are welcome to go somewhere else and see if they will waive the fee. He wants to make sure that we are happy. After over an hour of going back and forth with the sale person and manager, as we were finalizing the paper work, then we were told that we need to buy new tires which would cost another $1,000.00 plus labor and that we would have to wait an hour for the car to be inspected. That was the last straw, we decided to walk out and handle the purchase elsewhere. We called GM financial and asked if we can just mail the check to them directly and not deal with the dealership. They confirmed that we could and that they do not require the vehicle to be inspected. DONE DEAL AND WE WERE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY FOR AN INSPECTION FEE!!!! Its not even about the money, We feel we were lied to. I do not trust this dealership nor would I ever recommend anyone buy from them, the only thing they are interested in is forcing people to pay an exorbitant amount on fees, service and month end sales. 2021 Ford Expedition Max VIN 1FMJK1KT2MEA25420 On Sun, 6/4/23, we arrived for a 3:00 appt with DT, who had sent us a video of himself to let us "know who we'd be working with". DT immediately passed us off to a "product specialist", A.M. We later asked if A.M. was our car salesperson, which she confirmed. After driving the vehicle and asking myriad questions, we sat down to discuss the purchase. The initial offer by Dimmitt included a $1750 reconditioning fee and a $1199 processing and doc fee. We objected to both and were told by A.M. and her higher up, D.H., that the p&d fee was "legally required" by the State of Florida and the dealership had to pay it to the State. When we requested a copy of the law and stated we knew that wasn't true, D.H. explained that, actually, Dimmitt's business model was to charge everyone the same fee in order to avoid class action lawsuits. He admitted that they can charge whatever they want and are not required to pay it to the State. When we asked for the dealer's invoice, D.H. stated he had never shown anyone a dealer invoice and implied the vehicle was a trade in and they were selling same for a loss, along with irrelevant stories from past sales. They would not give us a believable response when asked why the vehicle had been on the lot 68 days. In fact, their reasons contradicted other statements they made. Later, A.M. told us it was purchased by Dimmitt at auction. When I was shown computer printout of the work that was done by Dimmitt for the reconditioning fee, I noticed that significant repairs had been done, including replacing the underbody shields and repairing rear panels. I kept a copy of the "reconditioning report". The Autocheck report they showed us indicated the vehicle had no reported accidents. They assured us it had not been in an accident. They asked us to make a counter-offer, which we did for $3,678 less than their listing price. We were told by a sales manager, B.C., we could pay their listing price which would not be lowered by more than $500, plus the optional and overinflated fees, or leave. We left. When I got home, I pulled the CarFax report, which shows the vehicle was in a rear end collision with damage on 4/8/21. Two hours after closing, Dimmitt sent us a text informing us that the vehicle had been sold. So, if true, someone unknowingly purchased a 2021 Ford Expedition Max with approximately 38,000 miles that has been in an accident with damage. The CarFax report I obtained reflected some of the reconditioning work by Dimmitt, but did not include the replaced underbody shields and repaired rear panels. It is my understanding that Carfax reports shows repairs as reported by the repair person/company, which in this case was Dimmitt. I uploaded and saved the listing from Dimmitt's website and Dimmitt's Autocheck report onto the internet archive for future use. Good thing, because today the listing and AutoCheck report have been removed from Dimmitt's website. Please see photos of the Dimmitt Autocheck report, Dimmitt's printout of repairs they made to the vehicle, and my CarFax report showing the accident/damage and the reconditioning as reported by Dimmitt. I hope the new owner sees this. If needed, we will testify to the above. I hope it's not for an injury or fatality that could have been avoided had Dimmitt been honest. I believe Dimmitt knew the vehicle was in an accident when they purchased it at auction; hence, the significant repairs done to the vehicle by Dimmitt before listing it for sale. read more

I made my first appointment with the Dimmit Chevrolet Service department 3 weeks before the scheduled appointment date of 12/7/2022. I needed the engine heater recall completed, I had a loose engine shield that needed new retaining clips and my transmission from time to time would jam into 1st gear when coming to a stop. On my first visit 12/7/2022 all that was completed was the engine heater recall, I was told they didn't have time to inspect engine shield issue or the transmission. I was disappointed that I had set the appointment up 3 weeks in advance with the 3 known issues and only one item was completed. I was asked to bring the vehicle back 2 weeks later. I dropped my vehicle off for my second visit on 12/20. They retained the vehicle for three days and I had to repeatedly ask for updates on the repairs. At the end of the 3rd day, they stated the needed to order the retaining clips for the engine shield, not sure why this was not done before my appointment and the transmission tech only had 15 mins the last day to look at the transmission, in which I was told he did have the issue reoccur and he was sending the diagnostics to a GM engineer. To this day I have never heard about the results from the GM engineer. I was asked again to schedule another appointment at the beginning of the year. I attempted several times to contact my service agent after the first of the year to schedule another appointment we finally scheduled one for 2/13/2023 in which I was told that the vehicle would need to remain with the service depot for at least 4 days. Nowhere along the way was I ever offered a courtesy car for my vehicle. It is my only mode of transportation. At this point I gave up having Dimmit Chevrolet fix my transmission issue and ask them only to resolve the engine shield issue. I dropped my car off the night before the appointment and waited for a call on the 13th . Again, I had to reach out a 4:00 and again at 5:00pm to obtain a status. At that point they came back and stated the retaining clips in the wheel well were okay and wanted more information on where the noise was coming from. They requested I leave the vehicle with them for another day. At this point I gave up on getting my vehicle serviced. Dimmit Chevrolet has lost a customer of this very poor customer experience. It's shame since I bought the vehicle built to my specifications from Dimmit and had an outstanding experience four years ago. I will not be bringing my vehicle back to Dimmit for service nor will I use the dealership for my next vehicle purchase. read more

After buying my Corvette and turning it into a track toy it came time for a new vehicle. I love the most rare automobiles, and the duramax colorado was my white whale. Dr Mark not only educated me about the new car buying experience and how it should go, but also helped me build my first new vehicle. then he got it delivered to me a month ahead of our 'best case scenario' guess. He kept me updated on a regular basis and kept a control freak calm. Not only will I always buy my vehicles from him, but my father is in the process of figuring out how to snag a car from Mark as well. We have a fleet vehicle through my husband's work, and his Traverse had 2 recalls on it so we chose this service department to handle things for us. I am so glad we drove from Tampa to Clearwater for our service. We were greeted pleasantly by Alan in spite of it being a very busy Monday morning. He assured me that my assigned service advisor would be with me shortly, and Art did get to me in a timely manner to write up my recall ticket and get me on my way. David in the car rental department was very professional and super nice. He rode me back to my car in the repair area after I realized I had left my SunPass in my vehicle. Overall - very well run service department with people who truly seem to care about customers and seem to enjoy their job. Total bait and switch. My cars internet price was $4,554 showed up to the dealer cars all of a sudden 7K dropped that "deal" instantly. Once I found a different car they wanted to sell me anything but the car I wanted. Sat down to sign everything offered me a crazy high rate with good credit. One day asked me to come in for a bank interview and in reality that wasn't the truth. After asking me for more money and a co-signer. They made it seem like a sure deal after I gave them both and was declined a loan twice. Not once did anyone call me I had to make a 3 hour drive to find out twice. Never given a business card once and everyone is extremely unavailable to answer any questions. They never seemed to want to work with me so I went to cancel and they literally told me "well we tried" what a joke. I bought the exact same car somewhere else for less than Dimmitt offered brand new. Had no issue financing anywhere else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS DEALERSHIP Their ads show one price. When you arrive to purchase the car, they mark up that advertised price by 30%!!! I am not talking about all of their garbage dealer fees, or tax, title and tag, I am talking about the price of the car. Not the starting negotiation price, but their, "you aren't going to get it any lower than this" price. Although their prices are publicly shown on Google Adwords and AutoTrader, those prices are for a special "private" offers that you probably don't have. They also include "other incentives" that you probably don't qualify for. I would recommend you take the time to drive to Wesley Chapel Chevrolet, they actually honor the price they quote on the phone, while it may be a longer drive, at least you won't waste your time. I bought a 2016 Silverado on 1/14/2022 and on 04/20/2022 the lifter had failed to the point the engine is no good.... I was 8 days out of dealer 90 warranty but 400 miles under the miles..so they came to me with a bill of 13k for a new engine....keep in mind I just bought the truck for around 28k out the door..I cannot afford 13k for a new engine seeing I just bought the truck not thinking it would blow up 2600 miles later and be told I should of bought a extended warranty...so now my options are to kick rocks or pay 13k and dimmitt is not even trying to help I even offered to pay half and they told me no..they lost my business and everyone I know business will never go back Buyers beware read more

The first time they pulled a bait and switch and tried to blame it on an inexperienced sales man. Although I did indeed purchase a wonderful truck and had a great experience with the salesman I do have one issue with their customer service. I was told when I bought my truck that I had a second key fob that needed to be programmed and that I would be given a call to pick it up in a few days. Well fast forward 4 months and a couple weeks down the road and I still haven't gotten a call or my second key fob. I've messaged and spoken to my salesman multiple times and recently I was told they might not even program the fob because someone needs to "fund" it. No one should have to fund it if it was to be programmed and given to me shortly after my purchase, I am highly unhappy with this outcome and more than likely not to return or send any more customers their direction in the future. read more

From the moment I walked towards to entrance I was greeted and given the upmost respect and attention. I met with Rim and she was fantastic! She is very professional knowledgeable and very patient and not pushy. I went to buy out my lease but decided to way out my options. So decided to look and test drive a new Equinox RS ! It was a a great vehicle but over my budget. She tried very hard to work out some plans but 5 hours!!! Dimmitt used cars is the worst, they advertise one price online and then when you get there to purchase the vehicle they add thousands of dollars in fees and other miscellaneous charges. I did end up purchasing a truck from them but only out desperation. Get with the times Dimmitt, consumers do not want this type of fraudulent sales tactics anymore!
