Antonio was excellent. I brought my wife's car in for a failed windshield wiper pump. He called to tell me that the power steering also needed to be replaced which brought the total to $3500, but without me having to ask, Antonio offered to call GM customer service. That brought the price down to $1500. Then, my wife reminded me that my she bought a car max warranty. Antonio took it all in stride, callled carmax and got approval. Now the repairs are only costing us $300. He also got us a rental while they were repairing it. Great electric Chevy blazer. His communication was excellent, and the service quick and thorough. I took my car in for a simple oil change and seat removal for a ring that fell between the seat and the center console on July 2nd* I was quoted $199/HR and approximately 2 hours to complete. The service rep did not hear me say passenger side or I must have not communicated clearly the passenger side. The took out the wrong side (Driver) which I was willing to let go. The kept it another day and removed the correct seat this time. When I went to pay, I noticed a total of 8 hours of labor. Which is ridiculous as my service rep texted me "All done" 2 hours after the technician started working on it the 2nd day. Which obviously means he took ONLY 2 hours the first day. Therefore, a Total of 4 hours should be billed as I have proof of her text to me "All Don" just 2 hours after he started. I have tried to communicate that to the service rep which she directed me to her manager. He did not call me the whole next day and it seems he's blowing me off as I haven't received a call from him the following day or even today, which is July 6th* read more

I had new tires installed several months ago. I have a 2018 ss camaro with different size tires and rims between front and back. I had just noticed while washing my rims something seemed off about the right front rim as if it was too wide for the front. So I immediately measured the rim width. As it turns out on the right side (passenger side) they had installed the smaller front tire on the rear wider rim and installed it on the front right, and installed the wider back tire on the narrower front rim and installed it on the rear right. So, basically they put the wrong size tires on the wrong rims, but in the correct position for tire size between front and back. The front rim has inner damage from rubbing on something from being too wide, looks like it was slighly rubbing on the bracket for the strut. I will be contacting them on Monday for new tires and to fix any damage caused. On top of all this a few days after I had them originally replace the tires I heard a rattling metallic sound sporadically coming from one of the front wheels, it ended up being a piece of metal they had somehow left in the wheel when putting on the new tire. Then about a month after that I had finally noticed one of the valve stem covers was replaced with a big ugly random one. My car has specific ones that came with it and always has. I had noticed it finally when I went to fill the tires with air. So overall not impressed and am hoping they can correct this on Monday. Dimmitt Chevy in Clearwater was the worst car buying experience I've ever had. Car purchases are painful anyway at a dealership but these guys we worked with were shady from the moment we walked in. They have a great selection of cars at reasonable prices, but that is my only positive. I was looking for a car for my son who had just recently been in an accident and totaled his car. Found the perfect car at Dimmitt at the perfect price and we had cash in hand. We saw the on line price and knew going in taxes and what not would be added which we were fully prepared for. After agreeing to their price, which was $2K more out the door than what we wanted, but again we were OK with that. They argued and refused to take cash for the car, told us we could only get the agreed upon price if we financed. Used every BS story you can imagine to convince us to finance instead of pay cash. My husband and I knew their game and walked away (short version) because it was just horrible how they were treating us. I should have walked away for good, but I wanted that car for my son. Reluctantly I gave them one more chance before we left the lot...in steps Mike, who saved the day and he is the only one I will give a good review on! Mike got the job done, thank you Mike! Our salesperson was just OK, typical car salesman, wants to be your BFF to try to convince you what they're telling you is legit. Terrible Dealership, I purchased a 2nd Pre-owned vehicle back in November 2025 and day's after purchasing it, it had a Exhaust rattle so I took it to a local Exhaust Shop to see what the problem was a rigged flex pipe. I had to pay out of my pocket to get fixed. I contacted the Salesman about the issue and he contacted the GM about my concern and he stated that he would compensate me for the issue LIE #1 While at the Exhaust Shop they noticed that the Oil Pan was leaking and the front Axle looked to be leaking too. I then contacted my local Ford Dealership to see what the fix would be and they did replace the Oil Pan Gasket and the front Axle Seals. Thank God I purchased a Extended Warranty but again Dimmit Chevrolet should have taken care of this problem while it was in their own Service Department! Again I got a text that I would be compensated again by the GM LIE #2! I got a text this morning by the Dealership that I'd be getting compensated again, LIE #3. I turned in an EV early because I frankly am just not ready for an EV vehicle. My choice, nothing really wrong with the car itself - was very nice, but not for me. I had spoken to the dealership on several occasions over the past year and they never showed interest in helping me switch my vehicle, so eventually, I bit the bullet and just turned in the lease with less than 7000 miles on it. I went then to cancel my warranties for tire and wheel as well as the xs wear and tear warranty. They refused to cancel the xs wear and tear plan stating over an over it was not a cancelable item (ALTHOUGH WRITTEN on the policy itself are the words "THIS ADDENDUM IS CANCELABLE".) When I told them I would not accept their answer - I was not well received, and basically told to go pound sand. They totally gaslighted me and tried to put me on the defensive so much so, that I finally just got up and left. The 3 individuals I dealt with were Eric Ronneburger, Johnanna Turner and their director, Haydee Williams. There was no reasoning with any of them and I was forced to file a complaint the BBB, DMV & Attorney General - which I believe is the only way the GM got wind of the behavior of his employees. To be fair, the GM Eli Karam has corrected this issue and the dealership has given me an apology through a couple of wonderful humans, Gretchen and Raheel, and they are in fact canceling my xs wear and tear plan and refunding my money and I am waiting for that check (fingers crossed). Concluding this review - I understand if was just a few people that were acting out of ignorance, and an obvious lack of couth and professionalism, but it did upset me very much, so much so that I will not be returning to this dealership for any future business and they have lost a customer that has purchased 2 vehicles from the Dimmitt family dealerships. read more

The service manager Edwin Rodriguez has a super sideways attitude and remarks, and doesn't allow you to sentences of discussion before sighting "there are plenty of other service centers. This is after a phone call into Shannon explaining repeat visits, wasted, with knowledge of the problem to be cured [one wheel replacement, three wheel reconditioning]. You can tell Edwin is on a high horse and likes to speak matter-of-factly, as he is interested in addressing his issues before asking about problems to be solved. After making his remark and not agreeing to have further discussion, I was tasked with requesting official contact information from various officials across the service center, after he and other officials went into hiding. I bought a 2021 Chevy Colorado from this dealership. I bought the extended warranty and everything. Since I bought the truck I have had it in several times because the AC blows hot, at random times, for no reason. Each time they tell me that they can't "reproduce the problem". Then they call it good and never fix the issue. I had to rent a car and, after fighting with them for a few days, they partially reimbursed me for the cost of the rental, even though the truck was under warranty. Recently the truck started showing "service trailer brake system" warning. Then the truck wouldn't start anymore. I had it jumped and dropped it odd at the dealership. They told me it would be 3 days before they would even look at it. I also told them I needed the AC looked at because it was still blowing hot, at random times, for no reason. To their credit, the got my truck in the shop in 2 days. They said it was the battery and swapped it out. They repeated that they could not reproduce the AC issue. 3 days after I got the truck back they blew up my phone (phone calls and texts) asking me about my experience. I never answered. Five days later, I jump in my truck to drive home and the check engine light is on. I called the dealership and they told me it would be 3-4 days before they would look at the truck. I asked about a loaner and they said they had no vehicles to loan and that I would have to rent a car from Hertz and, when they got around to looking at my truck, they would see if the issue warranted them paying for the rental. Again, I would have to fight to get reimbursed. This isn't how things were when I had a Honda. I was treated well, given a loaner if they needed to keep my vehicle, and I never had to wait 2-5 days to get my vehicle looked at. If I don't get taken care of I will be taking my business to a different dealership. read more

2018 Camaro SS February 20,2023 I drove my vehicle to Dimmitt Chevrolet for a gasket leak. March 03,2023 I picked up my car shortly after 12:40 and after 14:45 my vehicle shut off on me as i made a left hand turn. I assessed what was going on from the smoke coming from the engine bay out of the dip stick tube. Immediately I called Dimmitt back immediately and told them what the situation was and they told me they will send a tow truck asap. March 4, 2023 I was notified the vehicle was ready. March 8,2023 my vehicle was picked up and brought home and it broke down again. Had it towed from where it broke down the following morning. April 5 I was informed per John Johnson and general manager Scott Collore that the engine could be replaced solely with a costumer contribution of $10,005. So yes you're reading that correctly. They didn't put oil in the car which lead to critical engine damage and that the only way they would replace it is if I paid them for their mechanic's negligence and lack of knowledge. Bought 80k dollar c8 corvette it had scraping noise drivers side rear brake. They had my car 5 days and said no problem found. I was told to drive 80 mph and slam on the brakes to fix problem. Well that didn't work. I called again and was told it was common to the c8. Well it got worse so I decided to look myself. There was a bolt missing in caliper and the other was loose.
