Foremost, the restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with lots of greenery and elegant lighting. Our waiter provided top tier service throughout the night. The appetizers we ordered were perfect shareable bites and so delicious. The homemade focaccia was light and crispy. Perfectly toasted! This comes at the start of your meal for all of the tables. I loved the fried calamari, burrata and prosciutto, and the pear salad. I was most intrigued with the mussel flatbread appetizer. It was topped with a light buttery sauce and garlic. Very good! The meatballs were also a standout for me. In addition to an amazing start to my meal, I loved the cocktail options. From various spritz choices to Negronis, you can tell the cocktail menu was carefully crafted. Verana is known for the best chicken parmigiana. Not only did this dish deliver, but the portion size was unreal. Some of my dining party finished it. However, I have amazing leftovers for today. You have an option to get a side of homemade pasta. I went with the spaghetti. All pasta dishes are made from scratch. Other honorable mentions include the pasta normica and bolognese. Moving on to the sweet dessert options! The cappuccino's had a nice and bold coffee flavor. The pistachio gelato and apple tart were music to my ears! So fresh and really hits any sweet tooth. The tiramisu had a nice pairing of coffee flavor and cinnamon. My first dining experience at Verana will definitely not be my last. We had a 6 PM dinner reservation for my family of nine on a Saturday. We were seated in the rear room on a narrow table. Yolanda opened my first two and third chianti wine bottles. I enjoyed my usual complimentary house salad. I also enjoyed my huge veal chop milanese giardineira for $39. Yolanda and the rest of the staff served us very well. My total bill was $242 excluding gratuity. We agreed we will return here again if we have another family affair in this area.

The Portofino was made with smoked mozzerella, as it should be and in the recent past was not. I did not try the veal, my wife remarked it was a bit chewy. The tiramisu was good. Our server was both pleasant and attentive. Food was promptly served. At the meals conclusion, they brought out some amaretto with a coffee bean. A thoroughly enjoyable meal. Definitely will be dining there again.

We did not let her know that because she obviously was trying to do her best. Service was very slow again the manager apologized saying they were short staffed. The food was not bad unfortunately they got my wife's order wrong and at one point they brought our food to the wrong table. The manager was very apologetic and you could tell she wanted to make a good impression for the establishment. When we were ready to pay they did not know how to process the gift card saying the person who could do it was not there. They asked that we leave the gift card and would process the payment and call me so I could return to get the gift card with the remaing balance. I obliged and left all my contact info but they never called back. After a few weeks we finally trekked back over only to be told they had no clue what we were talking about. Eventually we got things settled. What was supposed to be a nice evening turned into a nuisance of back and forth driving although it's only 20 minutes away unless we were going there specifically it's 20 minute out of our way. The venue itself has a very nice decor the staff seem friendly. We arrived around 6:30, and while it was quiet at first, the space was bigger than I expected yet still felt cozy and intimate. The crowd wasn't particularly young, but everyone was warm and welcoming. We had our table from early evening through the night until the DJ wrapped up after 1 AM. We brought a cake for our celebration, and the staff kindly stored it for us, then sliced and served it beautifully. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere made the whole night special. We'll definitely be back!

From our very first meeting, Val was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and a true pleasure to work with. His warmth and attentiveness truly stood out! He made us feel comfortable and he was so accommodating and gracious in helping us create the most memorable day for our daughter and guests. He went above and beyond for us, and we genuinely appreciate it. He made the planning process seamless and ensured every detail was thoughtfully addressed leading up to our event. We'd also like to extend a special thank you to Nick and Jimmy, who were absolutely wonderful -- friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. We recently hosted our daughter's baby shower at Dimora, and the experience exceeded all expectations. Ive been going to this place for a while and now that im on yelp i figure ill write a review .. This is one of my favorite restaraunts. The food is great and the service just as good .. The shrimp and avucado salad is the best appetizer in my opinion. The grilled callamari is also a specialty of theres . The oysters might be the best ive ever had. If u like Fish the Branzini is the best, its cooked whole and then filayed for u, once u have Branzini here you cant have it anywhere else its that good. Recently added a new dish to my list of favorites the soft shell crabs are amazing and crispy with garlic and herbs and spinach. if u like pasta the rigatoni bolonese meat sauce is delicious might be the best bolones in the tri state. If u like Veal parm they do it on the bone and its amazing. Doesnt come with pasta but i allways ask for a side of penne with red sauce and they allways accomodate. They have been here for over 8 years i think so you know theyre doing some thing rite. They also have a great Tiramisu thats home made so good. I love the fact that its a famaly restaraunt from the chef whos the owner, his sons and wife work the front, and the whole staff somehow are related these guys care and try hard to please. And they often do! The only thing i dont like is that on saturdays with reservation after 7:30 sometimes u have to wait for a table but the bar is nice so we often have a drink before we sit. If you are looking for a delicious meal at a restaurant nestled in a beautiful residential area of northern New Jersey, Dimora is the place to dine! Any night of the week, Nick and/or Gino are there to please. Their desire to make your experience unflawed is unparalleled. Saturday nights are busy, and may require a bit of a wait to be seated, but the bar is an extremely inviting option, and a very lively scene, while your table is being prepared... Once seated, waiting at the table for you are bread and oil, as well as an enticing plate of pepperocini, hard cheese, and assorted olives. The wait staff is courteous and attentive. Specials are announce promptly, and sufficient wait time is given to decide on a cocktail or other beverage. The appetizers and entrees were delivered fresh and hot. Wonderful options. I don't think you could have gone wrong with any dish. Complimentary biscotti for dessert beautifully complements any coffee or after dinner drink, but don't forget to order their homemade tiramisu! Service was top notch. Maître D was professional seated us right away. Our server Val was knowledgeable and provided a seamless experience. Started with chunks of parm, olives, soppressata, pepperoncini peppers and crusty bread. Just what they do. We shared carpaccio which was extraordinary and when on a menu I usually go for it. Did not disappoint in the least bit. Hubbie had Chilean sea bass with clams marachiara with roasted potatoes and sautéed escarole. Prepared perfectly. My dish was outstanding. Three types of mushrooms over pappardelle with a truffle oil sauce/gravy. Just can't explain the smell and sumptuous flavor. Shared a great Banfi wine and hubs had a double espresso and the pistachio biscotti. Only comment is tight seating and very loud but worth it for the food. I can't say enough however I don't have the casualty of going out to dinner every week ,which I wish did have, I come to Dimora on special occasions every time I come in I get treated greatly by maitre d and bartender is very polite as well ..however the food is absolutely phenomenal .. The grilled calamari and veal chop special was to die for .. I've been to the il Mulinos and ciprianis have to say for a resteraunt not in the city the food is better here..also the wine pours are not skimpy and the drinks do taste like alcohol not juice.. One thing I needed to know before I Left was why the only person wearing gloves was the bartender, and found out he became allergic to lemons and limes which I liked anyway cause its cleaner . What a great place, people have been telling me this place has the best Italian food in New Jersey and they weren't lying my friend and I went for dinner and were welcomed by a handsome young man who showed us to our table we had the shrimp and avocado app absolutely amazing .. For dinner I had the Bronzino and it was the best I ever had my friend had the pasta with mushrooms and that was delicious .. I can't wait to go back I'm Craving the Branzino .. It is amazing every time I go to Dimora te place is packed, it seems always to be like this. I enjoy because I always meet interesting people. I was at Dimora this saturday night again! It was packed again i waited for a table at least 30 minutes but we were still served with delicious cheeses at the bar, and the Dimora boys kept us entertainedt. I just come back from Port Rico and i spent the summer traveling though out Europe I just want to say what I missed the most in NJ it was Dimora my favor dish the linguine lobster i can't find a like any where I go I tried in Italy Spain and in France I don't know what Gino the chef or I should say "The Chef' every one there is very nice just got change the hostess she seems miserable perhaps that the way the old Italian moms are, just ignore her and go for the boys! I went last week to this very charming, elegant restaurant Dimora house. My friend Marcia recommended! I definitively will go back over and over again. I ordered from the special menu the stuffed pork chop on the bone, wow mind blowing. Mushroom, roasted potatoes, a big old chop stuffed with Mozzarella cheese in a tomato ragu. Totally delicious, and so big i think all we needed was a side of pasta to make it a winning dish. I end up ordering a full order of linguini in clam sauce aling with the chop and the wife and I ate like royalty!. The meal was excellent, the waiter was nice to bring us a bday platter with fresh stiffed mini cannoli !

During all of my past visits, I've never been disappointed with a dish. They have specials so there's always something new to try on the menu. Just a heads up, they are BYOB! These are some of my personal favorites: -Chicken Francese ($23.95) - The chicken cutlet is so tender, and the chefs get the francese sauce just right. It's a perfect balance of white wine, lemon, butter, and egg. You have the option of adding one free side: (1) potatoes and vegetables OR (2) pasta (angel hair, penne, rigatoni). -Pasta Limon ($31.95) - HEAVENLY... This dish consists of angel hair pasta in a creamy sauce that's a combination of lemon, parmesan, and butter. It comes with chicken and shrimp. -Fig di Sicilia Pizza ($17.95) - This has always been my #1 favorite appetizer, but sometimes it tastes better than other days. When it's made to my liking, it's basically a thin flatbread topped with mozzarella, fig marmalade, prosciutto, and arugula. This appetizer is the reason why I started eating figs LOL -Cannoli - These are HUGE and their ricotta filling is absolutely delicious! I have to roll myself out the door after eating here! The chicken parmesan entrée comes with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Pasta is only served upon request, but that was not mentioned on the menu. The red sauce was watery and cutlet was on the thicker side. I acknowledge the effort, but regretfully this CP was not my top choice.

We had to ask for water 3x to get a refill of water. I asked for no salt on the chicken, thinking it was freshly made... tasted like a frozen item, pre-seasoned. I had to ask for pesto which was not on the sandwich. The Pasta serving entree was appetizer size & VERY salty. It felt like they wanted to do the bare bones to get the most out if you. Lousy service, non working A/C, mediocre food. I really wanted to like it, but sadly, will not return.

Yesterday we just happened to end up in front of the restaurant and decided to go in and check it out. They have a very nice patio in front of the place flanked with a large shrub on the street side and covered in colorful umbrellas. The weather was perfect as the sun came down it was a nice warm evening perfect for outdoor dining. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, not only the food which was good but the atmosphere which was great. The server as well as the manager were both excellent hosts, friendly and so polite. The server was a really nice young man and friendly as well. He was an excellent server who took care of our needs and kept our drinks full and even offered some good conversation. The manager was also excellent going around to all the guests checking to see if we were pleased with our dishes and very friendly too. The food was very good we started with an artichoke appetizer which was delicious. We also enjoyed some good clams. Then I had some fresh made pasta with beef sauce that were absolutely fabulous. My wife had penne with vodka sauce and shrimp and they were quite divine. We ended with some delicious ricotta cheese cake, cappuccino and a couple of shots of sambuca. This is a very nice spot for dinner on a beautiful night, I will definitely return.
