Visited this restaurant with friends over the weekend. Came before our res to have a drink at the bar. Service there set off the tone of the evening. The woman took my boyfriend's drink order, walked away and never came back. Another gentleman saw I was without a drink and asked if he could get me something. We were seated in the dining room where you first walk into the restaurant. This room was jammed with tables right on top of each other - conditions not even acceptable pre-covid. The table they sat behind me - I had 2 men whose chairs were right on top of mine and kept banging into me. I had to get up for someone at that table to go to the bathroom. We had to ask for menus for both food and drinks. What kind of place seats you, doesn't give you any menus and takes off? The person who I guess was our waiter was on another planet. You basically had to physically grab him to get his attention and even then he didn't listen. He brought drinks even after he was told the person did not want another one. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing impressive from the apps to the entrees. This place seems like they're trying to be fancy and expensive but do not provide the service that goes along with a premium experience. $400 bucks for 4 people for a crappy experience is just not acceptable. The valets had a better concept of customer experience than anyone we experienced in the actual restaurant. I would not return. read more

PROS: definitely one of the more upscale restaurants in the area. The place has Vallet parking so you don't have to find any spots in their lot. When you walk in they have a nice interior atmosphere and a wait staff that's very friendly. The food was great, place was clean, and they were quick. CONS: Inside the place is cramped. Also, Their bathrooms can only help one person at a time unfortunately. OVERALL: the place is amazing and I would definitely go back there! One of the greater restaurants around! read more

On a whim my husband selected this restaurant restaurant after doing a quick Google search for "date night restaurants" within a certain radius. Upon arrival, I was a bit concerned about the the acoustics, as it was noisy. Very quickly, I realized the reason why it was so noisy is that everyone was having a really good time. Every dish was spectacular and the service was exemplary. The entire staff worked as a team to ensure that all of our needs were met with just the right amount of attention without being overbearing. We were so relaxed, and had such a good time, that we ended up scooting our chairs over to a table of 5 guys sitting next to us, and share sharing great conversation. If I said Dimora was the best kept secret in Bergen County would you believe me? Well, here's what I'm going to tell you.... We love Dimora! Truly one of our favorites! Never a bad meal and as soon as you pull in the parking lot to valet your car you feel as if you are dining at home with large family. That is truly the ambiance there and the food is always delicious. Bartender has been there for a while and make some mean margaritas. Wait staff is over-the-top friendly as I mentioned it's like having a meal with a large family. Wine list is extensive and the food is always good. Last night I had the bolognese sauce. But their veal parm is delicious too. Actually everything is delicious. I would say it's one of our best kept secrets but the place is always grounded. read more

First of all - service was on point, and truly the reason I would go back. Outside seating is ample, my only suggestion would be to add another restroom, one ladies room and one mens room is not enough for the amount of guests ;-) We had the mushroom risotto with abundant amount of mushrooms, alittle on the salty side for me. The special seared tuna of the day was a good suggestion. For dessert we were celebrating a birthday and came with sparking candle and singing! The food was GREAT! We got there for 5:45 on Friday and it was already packed to the gills. As the evening progressed the music got louder and louder - they had a pretty big party upstairs so I don't know if loud club music is typical dinner music here or not. At one point the partygoers upstairs were dancing and jumping so hard we thought the ceiling was going to fall. The service was quick, not good quick but that feeling of "being rushed" quick. That feeling that table turnover is more important than the dining experience. So much so that our server came by three times to collect the bill and we hadn't even looked at it yet. At one point we asked for an additional bottle of sparkling water and another member of the waitstaff brought and whisked away our still unfinished open bottle. We called to her yet how could she listen with the noise levels. We mentioned to another waitstaff who replied: "It's not the first time" and shrugged as he walked away. Our server, when we gave him our credit card addressed this and asked it we wanted another sparkling after all was said and done. Ummm, should have been done before and offered as a complimentary bottle- just to be nice. Last point: we asked, on the reservation, for outdoors. It wasn't offered yet the outdoor seating was no more than a quarter filled. This place came recommended and I might recommend it but with reservation, and not the kind you call for in advance! read more

So me and my friends went here for a double date and when we first walked in we were greeted immediately. Our first thought was "wow this is fancy" lolll. It's a nice atmosphere and the lights are dimmed for a romantic feel. Would definitely recommend coming here for an anniversary. The food was so so so fricken delish too. Service was great and its a bit on the pricey side but worth it. There's also only valet parking. We'll be going back for special occasions! read more

This place was recommended to me from a local Emersonian and we finally had a chance to try it. First, they offer valet parking, then when you are seated, they treat you to a complimentary starter with olives, fresh parm cheese and bread. Delicious I might add. Then, I ordered the chicken franchise. Hands down the best chick franchise I've ever had. Good portion and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the gnocchis, which I am not typically a fan of but wow, even that was yummy. Simply put, if you haven't been you should try. We've been meaning to come to Dimora's for sometime, we reserved on Valentine's Day. Valet parking, very busy and fun vibes! From my perception everyone knows everyone and staff makes you feel warm and welcomed. Our waiter was Altino who was awesome! (Usually there only Saturday's apparently). Too the food portion, shrimp avocado app was nothing special, the mozzarella was perfect. The gnocchi Bolognese was above average. I was told we should of ordered the burnt broccoli and Branzini which I regret! But next time we come back I certainly will! read more

Today, my family and I celebrated a birthday dinner at Dimora and let me just start off by saying it was AMAZING. From the delicious balsamic calamari to the banana and strawberry foster dessert, I can't even explain how much we enjoyed our meal. A little over a month ago, we were visiting my family in NJ on a Saturday, and I did a take out lunch order from Dimora since we used to go there. We got 5 entrees and some appetizers - when I went to pick up, I was charged 20% tip on my bill. I was going to tip either way, but the guy told me not to bother since its standard to charge 20% and already added to my bill. I was really surprised, its not like they served us or even delivered the food - I came to pick up. That was a significant tip. Regardless to say I will never be coming back. As for food was just ok, I found it to be very expensive for what it is - the fettuccine alfredo was totally tasteless, just cream. Only the linguine vongole was good, everything else was average and definitely not worth the price point charged. read more

The avocado underneath was a nice complement to the soy infused tuna flavor. The dry aged NY strip steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and stayed true to the dry aged flavor. Im a creature of habit - it is my favorite table. All the staff followed CDC guidelines, so you feel comfortable. I started with the crab cocktail, grilled salmon, fresh strawberries with their scrumptious biscotti and a fabulous wine that Val recommended. Tonight was my first time here for my moms birthday, and I can honestly say Dimora Restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations. As soon as we walked in the wait staff made us feel right at home. We got 4 appetizers which we all shared and my favorite was the grilled calamari, which was the waiters recommendation because it was fresh and healthy. Beef carpaccio was also very good! Portions are VERY generous so definitely expect leftovers, but it was all amazing. After our meal the owner came over and told us all about the restaurant and his life story and it was refreshing to see a restaurant owner care as deeply as he did and was as passionate as he was about his work. He even gave us free limoncello shots before we left as well which was so generous of him. I will definitely be coming back! read more

He was going off on people because of the music and because the orders. Poor organization by the restaurant and lack of communication. When we arrived, I was casually told that there was nothing available, and do I want the totally empty tent outside or do I want to wait at the bar. My favorite dish is there bronzini, where I have watched them debone and fillet in front of the tables.
