Linguine Clam Sauce
Daniel M.

Out with friends who made a reservation here before the theater. Definitely a fantastic choice. We shared a seafood salad that was loaded with tons of seafood and had a fantastic flavor. For dinner Sandra had the half duck special. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I had spaghetti with tuna special that was light and delicious. Our friends had the linguine with clams and a chicken special. Both said the loved their choices and they were delicious. The service was excellent and friendly and the prices and fair to high. Overall a pleasant experience and I will say we will definitely return. Enjoy

Veal (front) was disappointing. Sooo thin & chewy. Can't imagine in what way they cooked this.

Our second visit to this Italian restaurant, and though the service is wonderful with attentive servers and greeting owner, the food is disappointing. Appetizers are OK. Just tad bit expensive for the portions they provide. The veal was paper thin and chewy. We had to joke about it being whether it was veal at all. Fettuccine pasta in vodka sauce was - probably home made - chewy and the sauce was stingy. The best dish of the evening was lasagna !!!!! Thin layers of pasta, tasty tomato sauce evenly distributedin between. Just wished for more generous portion. Pasta Vongole looked great but it did not have any taste to it. As much as I like the ambience, Staff and the owner, we don't think we would be raving about it to others.

Food is tasty, very $$$, service is unattentive."Clubby" feel - if you are known and "in" they treat you well. I wish them well... not going back.

BLUF: A surprisingly delicious meal. Why was it surprising? The complementary bruschetta at the start of the meal was not a great showing. The bread was stale, the tomatoes on top did not help to soften the stale, hard texture. However the bread basket had decent, warm bread slices. That was a confusing contrast. The rest of the meal was delicious. The pappardelle was made in-house, well cooked with a great ragu. The lasagna was really good too, very meaty. However the pasta was overcooked. While there were visible layers, the pasta had zero texture or mouth-feel against the Bolognese sauce. Nice place for a family dinner or a date night. Service was as attentive as they needed to be, albeit the restaurant was having a slow, post-Thanksgiving, Friday night.

The food is great and the service is also excellent. My family enjoy the lunch time in this place.

We we ordered take out a few times during Covid just to support the place and the food was very good (plus they gave you a free pizza if you ordered dinner for adults) After Covid we've been back regularly and can say I've been so happy there. Established in 1969 on the site of the former Bicycle Club, Giovanni's Bicycle Club features irresistible flavors of Italian cuisine from family recipes using the finest ingredients. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable but was not necessary on a Sunday. Upon entering this two-story building, my partner and I were greeted by the host, and a few patrons were enjoying their meal on two enclosed outside patio decks with fans in the summer, so we joined them. The windows could be raised for that inclement weather, and heaters turned on when needed. They do have a main dining room, with the front bar much fancier. A few small bicycle artifacts make the place memorable and unique. We decided on the Philly Cheesesteak and Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad. Complimentary bread with dipping oil started our meal. The food was tasty with a healthy portion. The price was a bit pricey. The service was friendly; our server was Buket. We could recommend this place.

They came up highly recommended, that always makes me a little apprehensive. They were right! Got there around 1is, not crowded but there were some patrons - looked like regulars. We got seated right away. Service could not have been better and I base a lot of my reviews on that. One of the staff was clearing the table and accidentally brushed against me, he barely touched me - he couldn't have been more apologetic. Very impressive, I assume management trained him and kudos to them for that! Food was next level! Calamari app was tasty, fresh, tender and delicious. I had the Filet of Sole and it was in an egg batter that was very tasty and perfect. I know it was good because my son had several bites! He also had the gnocchi and I don't think he took a breath while eating it. Definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

The Mediterranean salad had no tomatoes or cucumbers which is pretty standard in a Mediterranean salad. No bread came on the side. Typical Italian restaurants will always provide a bread on the side. The chicken was ok. The seafood pasta lacked flavor. It's as if the seafood was just boiled without lemon, butter, wine etc. it had no flavor ! I requested utensils and to go items (plates, napkins) and the ordered came with nothing. Big disappointment won't be returning.

It's refreshing to find a steakhouse that serves food and drinks late on a Sunday night. The decor, vibes, and clientele are upscale. It's not uncommon for exotic cars to pull up at the valet station. We sat at the bar and were waited on by James who had a great personality and a flair for mixing cocktails. The "White Walker" is a long-standing cocktail on the Sofia menu, and it really hit the spot (Ketel One vodka, coconut cream, lychee, lemon and club soda). My wife tried the "Geisha's Lullaby" - a Japanese whisky cocktail with pistachio, lime, falernum and vanilla. This cocktail was outstanding! On the food side, I ordered Cacio E Pepe. I enjoyed it. Not creamy like the typical cacio e pepe, but the pasta was served over a delicious slice of beef carpaccio. I'd rate it a 4.5 of 5.0. To finish the evening, I enjoyed a pour of Redbreast 12 from Sofia's wall of spirits. Whiskey lovers will enjoy the options, including luxury pours. My wife tried a Peaches in Paris cocktail - white peach puree, vodka, lemon, St. Germain, and Peychaud's bitters. The Peychaud's bitters bullied this cocktail making it slightly unbalanced. Overall though, we loved the cocktail program.
