Terrible customer service. I was put on hold 3 times. Finally got place my order and and was told it would be about an hour. 90 minutes later and nothing. Called the restaurant to see what the deal was and they said it was on it's way. It finally arrived, completely void of any sort of heat. I called Dimo's back hoping they might be cool and replace it. Nope, no such luck. So I finally got to taste the amazing Dimo's pizza my friends had raved about. Maybe it's better hot and fresh but the first thing I noticed was the worst crust I think I've ever had the disgust of tasting. So dry, so bland and flavorless. The sauce was terribly mediocre and thin. Cheese and veggies tasted like they were originally frozen. To sum it up Dimo's offers clever and what could potentially be really tasty off beat pizza options but whoever there main cook is needs to study up on how to actually make the product they're selling because they currently completely fail at the core of their business which is making an edible pizza. read more

SO many options for unique pizza toppings!! They have traditional styles too, but this place is so quirky you just have to go with the unique toppings. Slices are really large and ~4-5 per slice. Not sure how often they change the options, but will definitely be back! read more

So. I've had Dimo's on a few different occasions. All of them have just been, grab a slice or two for carry-out. I really enjoyed their pizza, the place, and customer service (especially compared to those a$$holes down the street at Santullos. Tuesday night I went in with a bud and we grabbed a couple slices, I ordered the Spinach & Feta slice. Proceeded to eat them around 10pm. At 5am I woke up feeling like absolute hell. I was sweating, overheating, my stomach was tied in knots. After 24 hours of going from bed to bathroom to bed to bathroom I decided I should probably write something about my experience. I'd like to say I won't eat here again, like I did with Barley Corn in Lincoln park after a group of us got sick from eating tainted spinach artichoke dip. But, I live right around the corner, and when I'm drinking I tend to not make as rationale of choices. so I may see you again Dimo's, but never the spinach and feta (which I assume at that point had been sitting under that heat lamp since lunchtime). read more

I've always been a regular and dedicated customer pretty much ever since Dimo's first opened in Wicker Park. Never have I been disappointed with the pizza selections or the customer service until yesterday. The service was great as always, but it was partly my fault for choosing the "wrong" slice of pizza. It was a hot dog/tamale combination pizza slice, and it was the last one they had. I decided to give it a try, but I later realized that it was a mistake and a waste of money. I couldn't even finish the slice and stopped halfway. It tasted OK at best, and then I picked up the weekly specials menu on the table. I saw that it was LAST WEEK'S special. I am writing this 2-star review because 1) I'm /assuming/ this pizza was old and was sitting there since last week and 2) it gave me a stomach ache that is still bothering me a day later. Dimo's, if I'm correct in assuming that this pizza had been sitting there for a while, PLEASE change your rotation when that week is over. It could make people sick, and thankfully I hadn't gotten worse symptoms like puking or diarrhea, but I am pretty certain that your hot dog/tamale pizza is to blame. Judging by the reviews, maybe I came on a bad night...but unfortunately I have to report that this place is for suckers - and I was suckered. Quick, creative pizza is the concept and they also have salads, beers and wine. I give them props for a nice space and casual hip atmosphere. Other than that I was pretty disappointed. The 2 failings were: 1. service, 2. quality/value. As far as the service goes, I hope for the well being of the owners that this employee is new or someone they are giving a chance. Super nice guy but obviously absentminded. Told me pizza would be up in 7min and he'd bring it out...never happened. I had to go up to the counter and ask his colleague. I'd normally say it was a fluke but there were 2 customers before me that seemed to have similar issues. I ordered wine and he poured a very small amount. I think I spent about $1.25 per sip. His coworker tried to compensate by offering me extra stamps on their loyalty card - but I had to decline because I, most likely, won't be back. Quality/value is related to my wine portion and the food. I had a salad and they were out of the appropriate dressing. That was slightly disappointing as this was not discovered until my salad was already made. My back up dressing choice - Caesar, was unusually chunky and dry looking so I didn't even bother putting it on. The pizza was inventive, but wasn't that great. Just a facade of unique ingredients slopped together for a blah result. I wish I'd liked this place, it would be so convenient for me to eat there often. Hopefully they will improve! read more

I'm very close to giving Dimo's a full five-star review. This place gets about as close as I've come to genuinely authentic NYC-style pizza crust, and that alone is a minor miracle in this city of mediocre pizza by the slice. As a very nice bonus, the combination of creative toppings and reasonable prices really make Dimo's a great newcomer to Wicker Park. I really appreciate the variety of high quality vegetarian options here. As far as I could tell, they kept bringing out different specialty pizzas on a regular basis even during the short amount of time I was in the restaurant. Honestly, my best advice would be to just choose from whatever looks freshest at the moment. You probably won't be disappointed. Now, to get down to basics...Dimo's crust is incredibly thin and crisp, pretty much exactly like a NYC slice should be. Unlike far too many slices in Chicago, Dimo's crust actually supports the weight of pizza toppings and doesn't droop when you pick it up. This is a huge deal! I'm also really impressed by the quality of Dimo's pizza sauce. It actually tastes like real tomatoes and has a nice, bright, slightly spicy flavor that really complements the rest of the slice. Since everyone else one here evidently loves things like chicken and waffle pizza (barf) I'll let you read about that abomination in other reviews. That's just not real pizza and nobody should care if it's good or bad anyway. It shouldn't exist. Same goes for a lot of Dimo's weird meat-based creations, just like the mac & cheese pizza. That's weird midwestern novelty food. Just avoid it and go with the real thing. Otherwise, the restaurant's space is huge, bright, clean, and welcoming. Very cute hipster pizza place in Bucktown. Decor has fluorescent pink lights inside and even a corner library at the entrance. Let me preface this post by saying that, this same time last year, I gave a 5 star rating to the other Dimo's location, the one on Clark street. I stand by that rating, that location is amazing and I encourage anyone interested in giving Dimo's a try to go to that location. The one in Wicker park isn't great. I try to avoid leaving bad reviews but after the experience I had last night I had to be honest. I keep giving Dimo's 6 corners a chance and they keep disappointing me. Prior to last night I hadn't ordered Dimo's at home in quite a while because of the service I'd received on my last visit. On a Saturday evening I'd called Dimos Six Corners to ask if they made pizza by the slice. The gentleman on the phone told me yes, they do. I ordered 2 slices of the vegan bbq steak & fries and one slice of the vegan buffalo chicken and pineapple. He told me he'd put in the order so it would be ready when I arrived. I bundled up and walked over, only to find out when I arrived that not only did my order never get placed but they didn't even have any of the slices I wanted available. The guys behind the counter knew nothing about my order. They recommended I order from the vegan slices that were already made. The guys weren't rude or anything, they apologized for me being disappointed. Nobody ever asked anyone in the kitchen about my order though. I ordered from the slices that were there, they were cool but it wasn't what I wanted. I was gonna just go back to getting pizza from Dimos Wrigley until I tweeted about it and the Dimo's twitter account replied (perhaps because I write for Red Eye Chicago and had a really popular article in print that day) and encouraged to email brand@dimospizza.com to tell them about my experience and they would make it up to me. I emailed as instructed. I NEVER GOT A REPLY. Great customer service, guys. The following time I ordered, I'd mistakenly asked for a salad that wasn't vegan to go with my pizza. I called back immediately to tell them I would like a different salad because I can't have eggs. He told me all the veggies were being wrapped up in the kitchen but he would figure it out for me, and I thanked him and told him I appreciate that very much. When the order was delivered an hour later I discovered he'd lied. He'd sent the same salad I'd mistakenly ordered in the first place. I couldn't eat it. The final straw was last night. I craved pizza and decided to give Dimo's 6 Corners another chance. When I called in, the person I spoke to was very helpful and polite. When my order came though, not only had they forgotten to include or charge me for the drink I'd asked for, but the pizza was the worst I'd ever gotten from Dimo's. I have noticed on more than one occasion that the 6 Corners location is way stingier with the vegan cheese than the Lakeview location. But this time I barely had any cheese, it was mostly toppings and dough. It ended up throwing most of the pizza away, it was really bad, I couldn't believe it. I have no idea why the pizza and service here is so much worse than the other location. I won't be having Dimo's unless I happen to be in Lakeview. I highly recommend the Dimo's at 3463 N Clark St in Chicago. Not Dimo's 6 Corners though, it's not worth the money. read more

I just want to get out of the way that I agree with a few other Yelpers. Just because your at a six corner intersection that doesn't mean you're located at six corners, at least not here in Chicago. Just saying. So I tried the vegan BBQ steak and fries pizza. It was tasty and interesting. I mean what could be better than biting into a French fry on your pizza? Made my third trip to Dimo's, but first since the opening in July. Marked improvement in one main area--my pizza was served hot this go-round, and the staff seems to really have their act together (came in this past Sunday night). My chicken-and-waffle slice was relatively bland and not as flavorful as my first time trying that one in Wrigleyville, but the sausage-and-pepperoni slice was very good. My friend tried two slices including the famous mac-and-cheese and was very happy too. I want to come back one more time to round out my experience but this is certainly better than when it first opened! read more

When we found Dimo's, we were thrilled. I mean, vegan pizza, that's actually delicious? What are the odds! We love everything about Dimos. My favorite pizza is probably the vegan macaroni and cheese pizza. Our boys are big fans of just plain cheese and pepperoni. We love the most so much that we chose to use them to cater our rehearsal dinner. Everything arrived on time, warm, and exactly as expected. Customer service here is always super quick and friendly, and it's safe to say I've been through more than one of the punch cards for a free slice! Ha! All the friends I have taken here to try the pizza love it! Slices are bigger than your head and so cheap! Also not greasy at all which is awesome. They always have different slices each day, with a great variety. They are very inventive here which I love. I am obsessed with their vegan selection of slices, which they also get creative with. Taking this down a star. Food is still good but the service we received Sunday afternoon was not good. I'm here fairly regularly and I'm not sure why but the woman running the counter was extremely rude to us. We asked if they had one of their advertised slices - she ran back and found two...at which point somebody came running from the back yelling that they were needed for a deliver order and took them away. I'm fine with that, it was a mistake. But she just stared at us like it never happened. We asked why and she said "it was a mistake" no apology. When we asked what the slices are she not only seemed irritated but sighed each time we asked what is what. I mean it wasn't the worst service I've ever received but come on, you can at least pretend you don't hate us for 5 seconds and I would have gladly tipped you. And Dimo's, PLEASE READ THIS: PUT SIGNS ON THE PIZZA SO WE DON'T HAVE TO ASK WHAT THEY ARE. This is so utterly irritating and has been for years. Oh how excited I was when I found out that Dimo's was coming to the Wicker Park area!! I grew up in NY and have been so disappointed by the thin crust pizza in Chicago. I have frequented the other Dimo's location quite a bit, but the trek from the Wicker Park area was a little too much for me most of the time. Basically these pizzas taste exactly as they do at the Wrigleyville location, so those who say otherwise are being hypersensitive and trying to find fault, in my opinion. I've been here three times since they opened and the pizza was great each time. My favorites have been the BBQ chicken bacon ranch, Mac, and one of their specials that had root beer marinated beef . I could not tell a difference between these slices compared to their other location. I recently ordered delivery from here as well and it showed up quickly and the delivery person was super friendly. I am so happy that Dimo's came to my 'hood. I can finally end my search to find good thin crust nearby! read more

This is a decent neighborhood pizza joint to grab just a slice. It is open late but isn't a place that is limited to only after bar visits. Its pizza stands on its own. Their thin but soft crust is tasty. I've tried the pepperoni, chicken tender, and their tomato/feta/spinach. They were all pretty good. I thought the pepperoni could use a little more meat on it. Their service can sometimes take forever and they never seem to have enough people working. The servers range from being friendly to slightly rude. I love that you can buy by the slice, plus they deliver late and are really reasonably priced. I'm mad I just discovered this place, but it's definitely for the best. One tip - the s'mores pizza is incredible. I was prepared to think it was an absolute joke, but it's perfect. There's a thin layer of mozzarella, then marshmellow, teddy grahams and tons of melted chocolate. It's sweet and salty, shockingly not overwhelming - just bettter than I could have imagined. These guys are first-rate pizza makers. The crust has that gentle burn that gives it a brick-oven smoky taste. I regularly have the vegan buffalo or the vegan Florentine. The sauce/cheese ratio is spot on. Best vegan pizza anywhere and, not being born vegan, I can say as good any pizza as I've ever had.
