What an incredible little dive bar tucked away at a hotel type resort. You'd never believe it. I came for the sandwiches (to go), but wound up making friends with Donna, my bartender, and a few, awesome locals. The sandwiches were really good. I got the Club for today and the Turkey and Bacon for tomorrow and zero regrets there. Both potato and macaroni salad sides are pretty good too. I ordered extra side of each knowing the regret I'd have later if I didn't do so. Made friends with two super friendly locals, so that should tell you it's a go to spot. I recently went to Dina's to see if I would like it. I ordered the special of the day sandwich, it tasted ok, I would rate it a 6, the sandwich was very small. It was my first time eating there, it will be my last time in that establishment. To top it off, when I got my bill it was $22 for a very small sandwich. This place is way overpriced; I would say that is cost them no more than $3 to make the sandwich with all the ingredients and they charge $22. I have read some of the reviews here and Some have said that this place is overpriced, so I am not the only one that feels this way. We came in for a quick lunch and we were captivated be this place. It is a small bar and grill facing the Sugar Beach Resort. It has a full bar and sandwiches. The people there recomend the Clam Chowder (buy the were sold out by the time we arrived). I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi with Pasta Salad and my wife had the Ruben on Rye with Potato Salad. This quirky little spot is located near Sugar Beach at the very beginning of Kihei so it's closer to central Maui than you think. It's kind of hidden in the back of some shops so If you see a formal wear shop you're in the right place. This place is small with a full bar! The walls and ceiling are covered in dollar bills that have been written on. They have a wide selection of sandwiches as well as bar food like wings and nachos. We got the Hoagie with homemade potato salad and the nachos. You can also get pasta salad with the sandwiches. The hoagie size was big enough to share. In addition to lettuce, tomato, and onions, it had sprouts in it and a dill pickle on the side. It was a great sandwich! The nachos were big. I only wish it could be ordered with meat. We really enjoyed this place and it will be one of our regular spots. The best thing is that it's open until 10 pm which is rare on Maui! read more

Came in for a late Saturday lunch and walked right into a table. There were 4 of us. They had a lunch special of turkey and bacon on wheat with lettuce, tomatoes and ranch- two of us ordered the special, one tuna and a French dip (roast beef). Three of us had potato salad and one macaroni salad. Everyone was impressed and that is hard to do. I also ordered a lava flow-mmmmmm. The bar is divy and easy going. Provided free WiFi. My name is William, I've lived in Kihei, Maui, HI for the past 26 years. Although I hadn't been to Dina's in a couple of years, I was craving their cold roast beef sandwich and placed an order for 2, take out, yesterday 2/14/26. I've been a customer for a dozen years, so I thought I had an idea of the price. Last night when I checked the receipt I had been charged over $48 for 2 sandwiches! I called and spoke to Jan today, who is a very nice person and was told "everything is expensive on Maui" and that she was sorry but there wasn't anything she could do. There was also a "take out" charge!! Imagine my shock at being charged an extra $2 for take out... My advice to anyone considering eating there do to themselves a favor and NOT. Yes, I should have checked the menu and yes caveat emptor, let the buyer beware. I remember when restaurants actually wanted local dollars and offered Kamaina discounts. Not this place. Stopped in for their nachos, couldn't resist the potato salad and ding dang if they don't make a very very very good traditional Mai Tai. When visiting Hawaii, I love to try new places for Mai Tai's and during this trip to Maui, I found places offering a Mai Tai with cream layer atop and the overall flavor wasn't quite right. Not gonna lie--we came for saimin and when we walked in this place gave strong dive bar vibes, and I was a little hesitant. I'm glad we gave this place a shot because the saimin was delicious!! The three of us also split a roast beef sandwich on the side, the staff was kind enough to not only cut the sandwich into three, but we all got our own little sides of potato salad. We didn't get to enjoy any drinks because we were all nursing a 2 day hangover, but if I wanted to enjoy a daytime buzz this place seems like a low key spot to hang. It is small and yes, it is lined with thousands of dollar bills, but other than that the inside isn't much. The locals/ condo guests seem to enjoy sitting at the bar and know each other. If they don't, they will before drinks are done. Everyone was super friendly. We sat at a table and someone sitting at bar yelled over to include us in conversation.
