My wife and I use Dine-In Marin all the time and we thank them so much for operating here in Marin County! We live out near Peacock Gap and without them we would definitely not be able to order from great places like Boca Tavern Novato or Little Goan (which is out near San Marin High School). Shady! I placed an order on Grubhub and somehow Dine in Marin got my order I. I see a text from Dine in Marin and see they have tried to double the price. The restaurant and Grubhub don't know what happened or how. The guy at Dine in Marin canceled my order when I phoned him and called him out. I had to go through a whole rigamarole of phone calls to Grubhub, him and the restaurant to figure out how he highjacked my pizza order. Terrible service. Took over an hour. Was delivered way past the timeframe they gave and were incredibly rude when I asked for an update. The delivery driver was also incredibly rude. I gave the address and very specific instructions and I was told they missed the turn, then they were at a cul de sac even though there is not one near us. Dine in Marin runs a shadow business under Grubhub and my experience today was awful. and the thing is, it wasn't the first time. I am gluten free, I know that MyThai will make gluten free pad see ewe but I have learned that the MyThai in San Rafael makes it substantially better than Novato. At Novato it's just bland and boring. San Rafael replaces the missing sauce and Novato doesn't. It's a massive difference. No one would realize this unless you happen to be searching for gluten free pad see ewe. I decided today I wanted to splurge and order thai food from the San Rafael Restaurant because I had a craving for the San Rafael version and so I placed an order on grubhub. I paid the extra delivery fees, the higher prices and this is why it was a splurge. I knew I was paying more because I couldn't drive to San Rafael and it was something special to do for myself. Order arrives and the food is wrong. Not even the right dish. Worst thing is that I had had this happen before. So not only do I have food I can't eat but I have NO idea if it is even made gluten free. I called and got Dine in Marin. The guy was patient with me and explains that they don't call in the orders so they go in the way that I put them in but the system created some issue and it auto submits the wrong item because of punctuation or something. He says he will send over a new one and I think things are great. But no, he gets it from the Novato restaurant. I know this because I called to confirm and found that out. So now two hours later, and way more money than I needed to spend to buy the same dish that I could have gotten from the Novato restaurant I sit here pissed. Oh and Dine in Marin's response, "next time call the restaurant directly" so basically don't use their service. Their service caused the problem. I highly recommend that anyone that is ordering online look and if your Marin restaurant has a 707 number beware. They don't care. They are subcontractors that are basically outside of the review/responsibility chain. One star for trying to help but still failing. read more

Update: I still like and use Dine-In Marin. Orders are delivered fresh and temperature-appropriate, within their estimated arrival time. Consistently excellent service and delivery problems are exceedingly rare. And if there ever is a delivery problem, I get a phone call from Dine-In informing me. In addition, I have never had a billing issue with Dine-In; and I appreciate Dine-In's willingness to deliver within a wider radius than other food delivery services. Dine-In consistently out-performs DoorDash and GrubHub in my experience. read more

Do NOT use Dine In Marin! I just moved to Marin and was surprised at the incredibly poor service. 1.5 hours to deliver a pizza less than a half mile away?! And when I called to find out if there was something wrong with my delivery after an hour, the smug child who answered my call hung up on me. Dine in Marin is the worst! 2 hours to deliver and when they arrived didn't even ring the doorbell or knock on the door. As bad as it gets.

They cancelled my order without notification. I had to call to find out when my order did not arrive. Disappointing that their platform allowed me to order if they did not service my area. They cancelled so late that we could not find another restaurant to provide dinner. It is upsetting to have this type of service especially since I am pregnant. In addition, we were told we wouldn't get our $100+ dollars back until next week. I also never received confirmation email of a refund. read more

Absolutely horrendous. If you order through GrubHub somehow it gets filled by Dine in Marin. At least it in this case it did. Issues with the order. Incorrect information given - that it was delivered on the app. I was concerned that our food was delivered to the wrong address. Trying to deal with them was a miserable, horrible experience that I will not repeat. Next time I'll order directly from the restaurant. I was not surprised to see these other one star reviews. Do this at your own risk. My experience was like that of others posted. I was hung up on, the delivery was late, the food was left at the door without the doorbell being rung, and the food was cold. read more

Awful, awful, awful! We wanted to use a local delivery service during this shelter in place period, to help stimulate the local economy, but it was just such a mistake. We ordered from Buckeye Roadhouse to get a "white table cloth" dining experience as a birthday celebration. Our order went in at 6pm and we got an estimate of 7:30pm delivery time, so not too bad. At 7:30pm our food had been "in preparation" for an hour. I understand the food prep is outside of the control for the delivery service, but updates to the delivery time would be appreciated. When the food arrived at 8pm, saying we were disappointed is such an understatement. The food was cold, not just lukewarm, but stone cold, as if it had been refrigerated! The even stranger thing was the sauce containers in the boxes had melted, yes melted! Not sure that it's possible for food to be so hot that it melted plastic to get so cold within 30 minutes, or if the system this company uses to keep their food "hot" did this, but regardless, the bottom of the containers were swimming in blues cheese and bbq sauce, and the food was just coated, and almost inedible. Luckily the situation and sight of the food disaster was so comedic we ended up just laughing about the whole thing - $120 for food that McDonalds would have been embarrassed delivering! Definitely a first and last time using this company, especially when there are other options available. Mea culpa for trying to keep thing local in these difficult times. read more

We will never make that mistake again... Trying to support local restaurants during the Covid crisis and tried using this local delivery service for the first time. Entered our order at 5:54pm (on a Friday)...called to enquirer at 6:40pm and received our order at 7:50pm. I paid a delivery fee AND added an $11 tip during the ordering process. Called to complain about how long it was taking and instead of owning it or crediting our account they blamed the restaurant and said it took them an hour and 27 minutes to make the food. I called the restaurant and they said that was not the case and I was the 4th customer who had complained about the time it took with this specific delivery service. Rule #1 is customer is always right. We won't ever use them again. read more

I love this service in Marin. Coming from the city, I was disappointed with Postmates options but Dine-in Marin solves that problem for me. They're punctual, their time quotes seem accurate, and I find the delivery people to be wonderful. read more

I have been a good Dine in Marin customer and generally have had a good experience. Tonight we only had one of our two dinner orders delivered. I called and informed them only one not two dinners were delivered. I was bluntly told they could refund the dinner or redeliver but it would take a long time. There was no apology or offer of future credit. I also use Door Dash and have had an order not delivered but never a partial delivery. They offered an apology, a refund and a credit on a future order. I think I am done with Dine in Marin and would suggest Door Dash. I am also going to contact the restaurant and let them know they should use Door Dash rather than Dine in Marin. read more

I want to love and keep using Dine-in Marin because its local and the person on the end of the phone has always been really helpful, but the service doesn't really work for me. They close 2-4 pm daily, but you can't order even at 1.30 pm. This also means if you order at 4 pm nothing arrives before 5 pm. The website is often difficult to use and although it offer preordering, that often doesn't work. The website literally won't accept your order. And, last but not least there's no way to review the food received. I received burned sausage last week which was inedible. read more

So I have had a few bad experience with Dine-In Marin out of the 25 times I have ordered through them. Last night I ordered a salad with steak on it and the steak never showed up. They said they would send the steak and after hours and hours and 2 calls the steak never came. I did email them about this and I am happy with their quick response, they refunded my whole order and are giving me a gift card for a future purchase. read more

Prior experience with Dine In Marin wasn't bad (about the same as other delivery services, but more costly -- yet I stayed with them because they delivered for some favorite restaurants that others didn't.) But last night's experience was a deal breaker. We'd ordered well in advance for a 6:45 PM delivery, and received their confirmation. Then at 6:50 (!) I got a call that a main course item we'd ordered was not available; we could ask for a substitute, and it would take about another hour for the order to be delivered.
