We have a family of allergy-sensitive folks and we all left with happy tummies. Would recommend for celiac, gluten-sensitive and vegan dishes. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Only 1 comment, and that is the gluten-free tended to be a little soggy, but if you put a piece of cardboard on the metal pizza pan, it will absorb some of the liquid. We all like a good pizza, even more so when we're starving. And this was just the case after spending the entire afternoon at the San Francisco Giants game. Originally, my lady and I were going to eat at MOD Pizza (which is also in this shopping center) but they were so doggone slow! And when we walked into "Extreme Pizza", there wasn't a single customer inside. Score! Keep in mind that this was on a Saturday evening around 7:30pm. I was thinking to myself, how could there not be ANY customers dining here? Anyhow, this place is situated in the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center in Novato. You will find a ton of major retail stores and restaurants so finding this place might be a bit on the trickier side. The inside of this place is fairly small but still big enough to accommodate groups with families and their kids. Since my lady and I already knew what kind of pizza we wanted, this simplified the entire ordering process. We ended up going with a medium size pizza; 1/2 pineapple/jalapeño and 1/2 pepperoni/green bell peppers. And for $24.00, the price was definitely on the higher end of the spectrum. Our pizza is ready within 10 minutes. We decided on dining in since our Airbnb home is about 20 minutes away. When we stare at the pizza, both her half and my half look virtually identical! As you can see from the photo I took, it was a bit challenging distinguishing which one was hers and which one was mine. The taste of the pizza itself was just average for me. It actually had a ton of cheese but I've had way better pizza at Costco (which is only $10.00) and as bad as this sounds, Little Caesars (which ranges from $5.00-7.00). I'm not sure what it is but I just wasn't able to taste the pepperonis or even the green bell peppers. It tasted more like cheesy bread than an actual pizza. Now I've had Extreme Pizza before at a few other locations so it is possible they just had an off-night. When I factor in the service (which was good) with the price & overall taste of the pizza (which was mediocre at best), I will have to give the Novato "Extreme Pizza" just an average three stars. read more

Disappointed. We have ordered from them a few times. Most of the time it's fine, although nothing special. This last time they took and hour and a half after saying an hour. When it came both pizzas were burnt. When we called and complained they would only offer a replacement or small discount on our next order. Eventually they admitted they had to change their cheese vendor which is why they weren't up,to the expected standard. Eventually they agreed to refund our order. Solid option. Every place does pizza their way. That's often Personal taste. Let's talk off menus for a moment. People, atmosphere, etc is relaxed here. The owner Shep is super involved in the community and an all around great guy. He also hosts the Tuesday night kids chess group which is awesome. They do happy hour specials (half priced beers and combos) and often have the game on. And on top of that he carries a stout (darn IPAs everywhere) The pizza options are quite diverse: regular, gluten free, vegan and whatever combination works for you. Though I am friendly with the owner I can not show super bias in reviews. It's a little pricey these days to get a pizza. Price of a pie can climb over 35 dollars easily for a family. But I can't hold that against these guys as laws and rents make it hard to serve food too inexpensively. Sometimes I prefer a different style of pizza (deep dish, NY style etc) but I can put a combo of tomatoes, veggies and vegan cheese on a custom pizza here that I really enjoy. read more

I really like Xtreme Pizza, and my fav item is the breadsticks/garlic twists. They are SO GOOD with ranch and i even use marinara sometimes.
