Where do I begin. . . This is my third time eating here and I must say it will forever be my go to place in Jackson. The family that owns this restaurant is so nice, they talk you to death but they are nice lol. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the price of the food, however as someone who is not from Mississippi, these prices are pretty fair compared to what I'm used to. Any entree runs from about $12-15 depending on what you get and each comes with soup and salad, with generous portions. This last time I ordered Chicken Penang Curry, Mongolian Beef, and Combination Fried Rice ($43.00). They were all delicious! The Penang was delicious however it had too many onions and the sauce was too soupy for my taste. The Mongolian Beef was nice and spicy, however it also had too many onions. Finally the Fried Rice was nice and moist and full of beef, chicken, and shrimp. Overall I was very satisfied. The food was so good we didn't even have any leftovers. Overall I would recommend this place to anybody in Jackson looking for good Chinese food, hint. . . The portions are even bigger if you eat in the restaurant. read more

Ordered through Waitr tonight. Crab rangoon was undercooked and tasted stale. Dumplings were pretty good and would order again. Hot and sour soup was loaded with red pepper flake and almost inedible. Mongolia Beef was more like Mongolia Onion and also loaded with red pepper flake. I guess we are still looking for good Chinese in and around Madison. Won't order again. read more

I stopped in for a bite with no expectations. I was greeted by the owner with a smile and a welcome! I ordered shrimp spring rolls and the Mongolian beef. The shrimp rolls were delicious and the beef was the best prepared I've ever had. A little spicy which I love! My only regret is that I didn't try this place sooner and I don't live here. Next time I'm in town, I'll be sure to stop by and try some of their other dishes. I live in NYC, the home of some of some great Chinese restaurants. What's in a name? Well...quite a lot. I avoided this place from the start simply because of the name. I had more than one bad experience with the old Ding How on I-55 and figured this was just another incarnation of a Chinese buffet slop-house. I was wrong. It's the same family, but a totally different ethos. This is good food. This is real food. This is food made by people who care about ingredients, tradition and quality. I've dined her for lunch, dinner and Sunday dim sum and I've never been even close to dissatisfied. Actually, I've been pleased with each and every experience. The fried whole fish is a real treat and is made in a very difficult way that takes more explanation than I have room for here, but take my word...it's fantastic. The Saturday and Sunday dim sum menu is expansive and well thought out. Outside of NYC, I've never had chicken feet and duck feet that were better. So put away any preconceived notions you might have arising from the unfortunate name choice and give Ding How a try. Great place to grab a quick bite! Gotta love the Chinese, Japanese and Thai selections all in one. Made an off the menu app for me that they used to sell which was above and beyond. Food is good, they will change dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions, no msg is added when food is cooked (is contained in some of the sauces; owner says she is allergic to msg), and they will actually remember your name and genuinely thank you for your business. I woke up craving Chinese food. In Ridgeland, there's not a ton of options to satisfy that craving. Ding How is right down the street from my house and I had never been, so why not? I got there shortly after they opened and I'm glad I got there early because it filled up quickly! The outside of the restaurant doesn't look very appealing, but the inside is actually quite nice! Our waiter was attentive and sweet. For an appetizer, the wontons are perfect. They were so fresh and flavorful and some of the best I've had. I got the lunch special with sesame chicken. For $3, I added the house salad and egg drop soup. Every single bite was delicious and I made sure to eat every single bite. A to-go box was simply not an option. Small place, very friendly, and great for take out. We had the fried calamari, hot and sour soup, which I could have just had that because it was Delicious. I also got the seafood feast with lobster meat, scallops, shrimp, and squid with vegetables in chefs special sauce. It was good, sauce was a little watery for me but the flavor was good. Can't wait to go back and try something else. There were so many things to choose from on the menu. My little boy had the chicken teryriaki and it was so much food for 6.95 he couldn't finish, which is unusual! Overall great experience read more

This place is lovely, but you have to know going in what you're signing up for. This is not a hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout place. This place really belongs in the Renaissance Colony area or in Madison, where it can be appreciated. It's more of an up-scale-ish, bistro-esque place. The owner/chef has specials and is a chef, not a cook! The food is great, although a disproportionate number of menu items are spicy (like mouth on fire spicy). The staff are so nice and helpful (they served me drinks while I waited for my takeout). The price is worth the food/experience/ambiance. It's a nice place for a date night for sure. Bottom line, don't roll up expecting deep fried chicken nuggets with a side of red sauce, expect food and you will be pleased! read more

Khal Bi is sooo good! It use to come with side dishes which I miss, but the dish is still yummy. It comes with a lot of onions & bell peppers. I wanted to take a pic, but I didn't have the patience to snap the pic lol! They have great customer service too. read more

We're from out of town, just moved here. The governor just lifted the mask mandate so we figured we go out to eat. The food was great and the service was even better, I'm glad we found a nice spot like this to eat good food because it was already hard to fine a nice place in Jackson. I ordered take out there yesterday and I ordered 1/2 pound of shrimp which in the bag only came 7 pieces of shrimp and that isn't even close to a 1/2 pound of shrimp and also ordered 1 pound of shrimp and it was literally only 10 shrimps in the bag and when I called to see what happen the lady had the nerve to say that she weighs her shrimp with the ice on it and that she is not trying to pay more money for shrimp without the ice in it and that she couldn't get the ice off but how did you cook the shrimp if you couldnt get the ice off? so yeah never buying from them again cause I spent over 60 dollars for 7 pieces of shrimp read more

hey Duan C, I appreciate the shout out. The lunches are smaller portions, but pretty cheap, so it's a good way to try the menu out (order 2 of 'em at a time). On Sat & Sundays native asians come in for the dim sum brunch/lunch (which is always a good sign of authenticity). If you like Dim Sum they are getting pretty nice crowds on the weekends. They roll the carts table to table, show you the dishes and you take it if you want. They have large 7-8 person round tables with lazy suzans to go family style on your dishes, which is like your own family buffet really. Everybody gets a little of each dish they want. All the food is very fresh and healthy tasting. No MSG, low oil, not even any Soy Sauce on the table. If you ask for Soy Sauce they'll bring you the low sodium kind. They are aiming for healthier, fresher Chinese. The Bourbon chicken is not bad for dark meat. The Kung Po & Hot Pepper Chicken is decent too. Good tempura. One of the best things I've had is the Lemon Chicken and I don't use the lemon sauce that comes on the side but ask for one of their 58 sauces. They offer an "8 fruit sauce" which is a yogurt-ry sauce made from 8 fruits. Your choice of soups are "Spicy" or "Not-Spicy". Rather than just chinese they have a few dishes from Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Korea & Singapore. It's not a true "Asian Fusion" place like Pan Asia tries to be, but they have fresh options worth exploring. read more

Great food, friendly staff, reasonably priced. At first glance it looks like a small hole in the wall, but opens up to a clean and pleasant venue. The menu is large enough to accommodate the even the most pickiest of eaters, even offering chicken nuggets and burgers for kids. Since this place move to its current location and is no longer a buffet, the quality of the food has improved dramatically. This is a great place to stop for lunch or dinner. The shrimp fried rice which comes with the lunch specials has medium to large size shrimp come on when you would expect popcorn sized shrimp in fried rice, so that is a nice bonus. Simply amazing! We are in town visiting from Florida and we went for lunch on thanksgiving day. The owner is so nice and the place was pretty busy with large groups of families.
