I have a red BMW 335i with perfect paint until someone creased my rear quarter panel right above the wheel, I though it was unfixable without bodywork, bondo, and paint. Carl had it looking like a million bucks for a great price. I litereally couldnt even find where the crease was. When it comes to my vehicles one of my biggest pet peeves are door dings. Recently I traveled to LA for some dim sum and it was windy that day, guy next to me opens his door and it gets caught in the gust. Slammed against my poor Honda Fit, left two very deep dings and even some paint was chipped. My whole day was sorta ruined since it was at the back of my mind but at least the gentleman was kind enough to give me his card and said he would take care of it. Went straight from LA to my usual ding guy I use in Camarillo, he's been my go to guy for years now but it seems his quality of work is hit or miss. After he was finished, it looked good in the outdoor lighting but once I got home and parked in the garage, that's when I saw the horror. I can clearly see the big uneven waves and even some parts were even pushed outward! I would say it looked like he got 70 percent of the ding out. I went on Yelp to look for another alternative that's more consistent in quality and that's when I found Carl at Ding Masters. I drove to his place the next day and Carl was pretty shocked at what he saw. He said the guy that worked on my car totally missed half of the ding! So I made an appointment for the next morning and dropped off the car. Carl assured me he will get at least 95 percent of it out. Nice clean shop and it looked a lot more professional with his lighting setup and equipment. Carl explained to me how the process works a little and how he uses his controlled lighting to properly get the dings out. Took a deep breath and handed him the keys. I decided to wait for the car since they said it would be about an hour. Well sure enough an hour had barely passed and Carl pulled my Honda Fit to the front. After carefully scrutinizing the panel at all different angles, I would say the work he did was pretty phenomenal. He was right on the money with 95 percent or better, I would rate it 98 percent since there was a chip you can still see but Carl touched it up and polished it the best he could. Can't tell from 3 feet away. The real test was when I got home in my garage, so that night I took out my flashlights and inspected the area from all angles and I am completely satisfied. You could not tell unless you really, REALLY stare and look for it. Overall my experience at Ding Master was fantastic and Carl really is a magician when it comes to dings. I just have to give credit where credit is due. Ding Masters is the best paintless dent removal service you can find in the 805 area. Carl is a phenomenon. He is an artist, a magician, a master, and a great guy. I've been a believer in paintless dent removal and have used it numerous times in the past with different cars I owned. My experiences weren't always great. I now own a Mercedes-Benz CLA Edition 1. It's a special car and I flew to Ohio to buy it. Mercedes-Benz only made 700 of this special edition. I bought the car with a paintless dent removal warranty with Mercedes-Benz. One interesting detail about this car is that the hood and fenders are not made from steel, they are Aluminum. So it takes special skill and knowledge to take dents out of the aluminum panels. I had some dents removed by a tech that Mercedes-Benz sent-out and he just did not do a good job. He didn't know how to take dents out of Aluminum and it just didn't look right. I really wanted to take my car to Carl at Ding Masters from the beginning. Because I knew he would've gotten it right the first time. I took my car to Ding Masters after getting a terrible dent on my door. I was doubting that it could ever come out because it was on the very sharp shoulder-line ridge. I knew if anyone could do it, Carl could. He told me it wouldn't be 100% but maybe 85-90%. Carl has such an eye for this, that his 85%, is probably most people's 100%! Thanks to Carl, that dent is gone and I don't even see it on my car (And I'm really meticulous about my car). He also fixed the dents that the other paintless dent removal tech didn't take out correctly ! Other techs have come to me to do paintless dent removal on-site in the past. At first I was not too thrilled about driving to Ventura, to have the dent removal done in Carl's shop. But there is a reason why he works this way... I learned that he works in his shop because he has controlled conditions: There he has the right lighting and all the tools he needs to get your dent out. The BEST Paintless Dent Repair in Ventura County, maybe even Southern California. I went back to Ding Masters in Ventura after the Santa Ana winds pushed a shopping cart towards the drivers side door of my new Acura TL, giving me two nickel sized dings. I also recently took my fairly new GMC Yukon which had ding, from which I don't know how it got there. Carl popped it all out on both vehicles, polished it, and both cars look brand new. Disappointed. When I brought in my car Carl looked at it and said he could get it 90% better. When I picked it up he immediately started speed talking to me, saying he was very clear with me about how much (meaning how little) he could do with it. Well, I would say it looks 40% better so his estimate was off. So very disappointed. I could tell how nervous he was by the way he started talking without pauses. Someone gave me a big dent above my wheel well in a parking lot. The dent was noticeably bad because the rest of my car was nearly perfect. I took it to the best body shop in town and they quoted over $1000. Carl quoted me much less than 1/2 that. I was a little reluctant because of some of these reviews, but Carl seemed trustworthy. Carl, the owner, was completely professional. He did exactly what he said he'd do. He did a good job of describing the risks. In fact, I asked him about the two less favorable reviews from yelp (those from 6/13/10 and 12/6/10 and he explained every detail). Bottom line: my BMW looks brand new again. He did a great job. Carl did an extraordinary door repair on my 2-month old BMW a couple of years back. I actually couldn't believe my eyes at the time as I was unable to locate where the original dent was, still can't! Last week I took my older X5 to Carl for actual body repairs of the left front quarter panel and front bumper. I was happy to hear that he did more than 'dings'. His quote was also less than than body shops. This repair was partially trickery due oxidized paint matching. My husband bought a brand spankin' new Toyota Tacoma in 2014. Sadly, he's had to bring his baby here on two occasions since.
