My six year old Subaru Outback was in near perfect shape until a dept of transportation snow removal vehicle hurled rocks and other debri from the street, breaking garage windows and hitting the back panel of my car in the hills above Reno. Then someone decided a couple of nice deep scratches would make the back door panel look better, and lastly some fool opened his door into my front door. While Carl could straighten out the dings, there was no way to make them disappear without painting the three panels as well. I went with that option. My car again looks new. This place do a very crappy job. Took my car for minor dent repair. Carl said it takes 1 week to repair. I had to call after 1 week to verify if my car was ready. They told me it's ready, but when I picked it up the job was not completed. Only 1/4 of the job was completed so I had to wait for another 3 days. My hood was not aligned and the work they did has no quality. This place accepts work but they take it to another shop who probably they pay for less than they charge customers. However the problem is Carl doesn't QA the work and assumed the work was done as he quoted customers. I had to bring my car 3 times as I keep finding out some work didn't get done correctly. Carl was not even apologetic and also rude. He wouldn't even entertain my concerns and always says he's in a hurry and had to leave and for me to come back again the next day. The girl at the front and whoever answers the phone has no technical knowledge and cannot answer any questions. Think twice before you take your car here. read more

Stay away from this place...it is the place with the old fire engine. Took my car to Carl's Ding Masters (dingmasters) paintless dent repair. Carl was real friendly and told me that he could get my small dent to look 90% better for $125.00. The dent was on the fender and about 2 inches across. I am going to sell the car, and though the dent was hardly noticeable, I wanted the car perfect. When I came back to get the car I was shocked to see that the dent was worse then when I dropped the car off. The paint was all chipped and now instead of a hardly noticeable smooth dent there are multiple small raised bumps, like someone hammered a screwdriver from underneath the dent, it looks terrible, absolutely terrible. He did not charge me screwing up my car...what a guy? He said my car had old paint and that's why it turned out like that, I told him it was 2004, he new it was a 2004, he just stated I had old paint...WTF? So maybe he can fix dents on only new cars, and not the antique 2004 models??? This place is a joke. read more

My bf took my car to Ding Masters to reapir my huge dent on the driver's side fender. At first we were a little hesitant, due to the reviews on yelp. When we got there we met the owner Carl, and he was so friendly and very professional. He gave us a resonable estimate, and was very honest about the outcome. He told us it would look 90% better. So we scheduled an appointment to have it fixed. It took about 3 1/2 hours to repair the dents, which was a shock cause I honestly thought it would take longer (due to the size of the huge dents). So I was very happy about that. Now for the moment of truth....my car looked AMAZING!!!! Not only did Carl repair my dents, it looked like he waxed my car too. It did not look 90% better, more like 110% better. It was wayyyyy more than I had ever imagined. My car looks brand new again, and I am very PLEASED with the results. Might be the worst experience with a body shop/mechanic ever. Don't get me wrong the car looked good when I got it back, minus one thing; which I will talk about later. Overall dealing with this man is one of the most difficult things I have ever done. The process took way to long. I was never given a clear date. There was no communication at all. The car took about two weeks longer than the original estimate and every time I called to find out when it would be done, they kept pushing it back (with no explanation). One time he even told me it was done and when I arrived to pick it up, he told me to get out of his shop and that he never told me that the car was finished. To top it off, the reason I was kicked out of the shop was because I wanted to see the progress on the car. When the car was FINALLY finished, I went to go pick it up and it was like dealing with an entirely new person. He was nice, friendly and even helpful (for once). He even threw in some free pens, which at this point made me forget that I drove out to get my car and was thrown out of his shop. Turns out that when I was inspecting the final product, I noticed something... HE MISSED A SPOT!!!!! and entire piece of my car still had damage on it. All in all this place should be avoided. Long story short, I will never again be using a place not recommended by my insurance. read more
