I ended up getting the Wintermelon milk tea with golden boba, but I totally forgot to adjust my sweetness level... and it was SO Sweet (too sweet for me). I'm not a huge sweet person, and usually like my boba's at 30% sweetness or less, so I had to wait for the ice to dilute the tea a bit. The wintermelon flavor was pretty good though. Normally I am a huge fan. I actually go to Ding Tea so much that I get a free drink every 2-3 weeks sometimes. But this employee with colorful hair had to make obvious that I annoyed her. I just want happy with the boba I got. I told the employee the boba was wrong and she schooled me in front of a pretty large crowd. She mentioned I did not pay for the extra 25 cent upcharge so she was going to charge me. Fine! I can pay 25 cents, whatever, but some kid schooling went a bit too far. Then she fixed my drink, didn't charge me but definitely let me have it! You know, I couldn't think how long I have been going there, but I have been going since you opened and I can't recall how long that has been... Party ahead of me had 2/3 people with no masks and they still got served. I told the girl behind the counter to spray down the counter because of those non-masked people. I typically go for the traditional black tapioca pearls and all of its chewy goodness, but I was pleasantly surprised with the small Crystal boba. I love this new Ding Tea! During their soft opening (drinks are 20% off this weekend), I had the Wintermelon Milk Tea, which is now my new favorite. Their boba is fresh, warm, and chewy. Their staff are super friendly and they're also really good about social distancing (masks, contactless payments, pickup), which I appreciate. They have tons of outdoor seating with wifi!! The tea was good. But they don't allow access to the restroom, even for customers. They also seem to want no one in their store. They turned up the music to nightclub level and removed all but a couple of chairs. Their poor employees can't hear the orders even. So if you're taking to go, and order online they're ok, otherwise I'd recommend another place. read more

Finally a good boba place right next to our house! We always had to drive for at least 20 mins to get boba before. Tastes just as good as other Ding Tea locations :) I was able to order less sugar for my favorite wintermelon tea at other locations, don't know why they can't do that here But they can adjust sweetness level for most of other drinks! I recommend ordering less sugar (70% or even 50%) cause regular would be too sweet for me. One great thing is that this Ding Tea is located in a nice big plaza with outdoor seating so we can enjoy boba right on the spot and not have to bring it home. Now I have to control myself not to go here everyday lol read more

So I wanted to update my review (same 5 stars) cuz apparently this place DOES have passion fruit tea, it just wasn't on their menu (Employee said that sometimes the manager /person in charge will remove an item if they run out; sometimes they forget to put the item back on their menu once they restock) So next time I go I plan on getting my regular drink That aside, I've been here a few more times since my Last review and service and quality of drinks are still very consistent. Taro slush was okay. I prefer the real handmade taro at sharetea. However, I got the yukult strawberry for my son and ended up loving it. The oolong year was good. I would come back for the yukult. Unfortunately they only have one size for it and it's rather large. read more

Love their matcha milk tea, no sugar and cream mousse along with black boba and it makes my day! Love they always giving you options of golden or black boba. Let me tell you they are both really good, golden has the right chewiness and black boba is soft enough to my taste. My sister also tried their top fruit green tea with 1/3 sweet and aloe vera, she loves it so much that she asks for it whenever I'm on my way home. Other than that, other decent boba or tea places are all the way in Irvine. I am surprised Foothill Ranch became a location but I am definitely not complaining! I bit more on the milky side rather than tasting more of a caramel the first time around, but I would say it's more or less the same when I would order from other DT locations. I ordered a Monster Boba Milk Tea which is always my favorite from Ding Tea. And I was so excited to drink it since Ding Tea is finally so close to me but it's definitely not Monster Boba tea that I used to have. I'm a big fan of Ding Tea and goes to the Mission Viejo location weekly. I always order the same drinks and know exactly what they are supposed to taste like. After my third visit to Ding Tea in Foothill and being disappointed every single time, I just had to write a review to bring awareness. As a franchise you would think consistency should be the most important thing to keep up with the brand's standards, but for some reason the quality of the drinks that I ordered were far below what the other location produced. Seeing the response to my review from the owner made me realize how much more disappointed I am because it truly lacks customer service. I would have been horrified if I received such a negative review and would sincerely apologize. Instead the response was to point fingers. Finally! A decent boba place nearby. Whenever I'm visiting this place, it's busy. Lines can be long so I recommend ordering ahead. Service is a hit or miss. Most of the time the employees look tired and aren't the most friendly bunch, but they are busy making drinks nonstop so I can understand. Sometimes you'll get a nice one who'll be friendly. I don't care too much since I can order online and pick up quickly. By the time I get to the place, my drink is ready at the window. Like I said earlier, the teas are decent where you can taste the different tea flavors, but they tend to be on the sweeter side. You can adjust to taste though. Boba is fresh and has a good chew. Pricing is good for what you get. Overall, I will continue to order from here if I want to quickly satisfy my boba tea cravings, but don't want to drive too far. read more

Best Milk Tea within the 10-15ish minutes of other places by far. Regularly come here around twice a week and can say you don't need to go to Irvine or farther down Mission Viejo to get a great boba drink. Do not be afraid to get the MILK TEAS if you are lactose. They have told me they use non dairy creamer/milk so that should definitely set you up for a try. However, always ask and not trust a reviewers word once. Only drink I don't recommend is the Vanilla. Straight up tasted like a formula something baby milk. Other than that it's a great place with great consistency and once corona is over, it's in the perfect place to go after the movies. read more
