This is such a beautiful place to grab a tea! Some friends and I came in for boba after we had dinner next door. They have a great menu with a wide variety of teas and add ons. I got the thai tea with almond milk and boba (with 100% sweetness). It was really tasty! The tea was yummy and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The cup packaging and straw were really nice quality! As a germaphobe, I really appreciated that the straws were individually wrapped in paper. Inside- The inside is beautiful! So clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. There's a good amount of seating, but there's a lot of extra seating outside if it's full. Service was great! They were sooo kind and helpful with answering all of my questions about drinks. Extras- Lots of parking! It's in a center with lots of businesses, so there's lots of parking. Always a long time when I want to try but got lucky mid day one Friday. Just a couple people in line. When it got to our turn the staff went to go do something didn't say a word and didn't come back for a while later. Drinks were great. Stopped by this shop after climbing next door. It was quite busy with more than a handful of people in line at the counter. We waited nonetheless since we were thirsty. I got an oolong milk tea - less ice, 80% sugar. Husband got Thai tea - regular/100%. The place is really nice and clean looking. Lots of places to sit to wait for your drinks. The cups are such good quality - very sturdy and the foil top is very nice compared to the usual boba places w plastic. The tea quality is also phenomenal! I'm so pleasantly surprised that both teas are nice and strong. Mine was the perfect sweetness I liked and my husband loved his (tho too sweet for me). The infamous OMOMO tea shoppe from Irvine has made it's way to Aliso Viejo... and the lines are not bad at all. Lol. Love the modern minimalist interior. They have standing cocktail tables and some benches inside but this location has extra seating in the front. When they first opened, Omomo was known for their cloud swirl drinks that looked pretty from outside the cup. Personally, their matchas take the trophy. Drinks are around $7 and they only have one size. Seasonal drinks available depending on location. But my favorites are the oreo brulee green milk tea, the "Wicked" ube paste with matcha, and even their thai tea is really good. Option to adjust ice & sweetness. The agar boba is delicious. TBH, while OMOMO isn't my go-to everyday boba joint because I have to be in a mood to crave matcha milk tea (I'm a more of a jasmine green tea or passion fruit green tea kind of girl on the daily), it is however, my FIRST choice when I do..HANDS DOWN!!! I always always always have to get the uji green milk tea topped with the caramel brûlée w/ boba ~ 50% sweet + light ice (obvi..so pro tip: you maximize the bang for your buck tea..thank me laters). OMFG..it's heaven in my mouth. Their jasmine milk tea is top-notch, perfectly mixed with premium quality matcha, creates such a yummy & deelish creamy unique flavor. An OMOMO with no wait? If you've ever endured the line in Irvine, coming to OMOMO in Aliso Viejo is a treat! I didn't even want a drink but felt like I had to get one since there was no wait. I try to avoid caffeine in the afternoon so I tried their Taro paste fresh milk. While I liked the flavor of the drink, it had a chalkiness to it that I found off-putting - I don't know if the drink was made incorrectly or if their ingredients changed. I should have stuck with the Omomo Matcha, which is my fave beverage there. If I had to wait as long as Irvine, I would have given my visit a lower rating. However, did I mention no wait? Not many boba shops offer Four Seasons tea, so it's nice to have it as an option. Ran me a little over $6, and it's one of the cheapest Creamomos. Service was good, especially for a newly opened shop that's still getting used to the influx of customers. The gentleman who took my order provided helpful information about the menu and was very patient in answering my questions (didn't rush me when a line started forming). There's always a line out the door at Omomo, but it's absolutely worth the wait every single time. Our go-to orders are the Osmanthus Oolong and Jasmine Milk Tea, both at 80% sweetness. The tea quality really shines here. It has a strong, fragrant tea base with a heavy floral aroma, balanced perfectly by a creamy, smooth texture that never feels overly sweet. I also ordered the Mango Tornado for the first time, which most likely will be a regular order when I'm craving something fruity. I also love that they're continuing to expand to more locations, because as much as I enjoy the Irvine spot, the lines there can be a bit of a hassle at times. After YEARS of waiting, I finally tried Omomo tea and I gotta say I don't think I missed anything waiting this long! They used to have a location in Irvine which Always looked soooo slammed and the parking situation was a nightmare so I never got to try them until today. This location is brand new so the interior is super clean and simple. The cashier who helped me didn't seem to know that Much about their drinks and their specialties. When I asked if their Matcha is organic, she didn't have a definite response but to my surprise her manager didn't have a confident response either so I am assuming that their Matcha Is NOT organic. Slow service, not many spots to sit inside, and mediocre drinks. Free parking outside and nice outdoor seatings available in front of the store. I placed an order on a random weekday mid-afternoon. There was no line upon arrival. The drinks still took more than 10 minutes to make, which was surprising to me. Once I got my drinks, I didn't like ether of the items I ordered. The Thai Camo was way too sweet. The green tea latte drink was extremely floral tasting because of the osmahnthus tea mixed in. I wasn't really expecting it to be THAT floral forward and sickly sweet tasting. Both drinks ended up in the garbage after just 2 sips. Really wished I had known how sweet the drinks will be. I would have gotten it at 50% sweetness level and definitely not order something so floral forward. Probably won't be returning even though I live close by. Very excited that Omomo opened up in Aliso Viejo. I know in other locations lines can go out the door so it's refreshing to be able to walk in and order. Service is quick, employees are working hard. My favorite boba shop finally opened a location right next to me! I've always admired Omomo for their consistency , I've never had a bad drink. You know how sometimes you can tell it's an off day because your drink doesn't taste quite right? Never with Omomo. Probably the best boba tea you can get in Aliso Viejo. Surprisingly, this place doesn't have a line out of the door like the other locations (yet). However, seems like the still need to learn how to streamline their drinks. Been here a couple times and each time there wasn't much of a line, but still had to wait a bit for the drinks. Still not bad though! In general, I'm not that that big of a fan of their signature creamy drinks. I've tried their other such as the oolong milk tea, jade milk tea with boba, and strawberry yalkut. Be warned that each drink tends to be on the sweeter side, so adjust accordingly. The boba is warm, chewy, and has that QQ! Strawberry is not to sweet and refreshing. Despite the larger space, the layout could be vastly improved because there were a limited number of seating available with most of the tables being standing-only. Just a bunch of empty space maybe for aesthetic reaasons? Ordered a couple drinks and both were bland. While one was certainly "drinkable," we had to throw the other one away after a couple of sips. Been a few times already since they opened! Gotta be one of the better Omomo locations - having grown up going to the original location in Chino Hills, I am so happy they opened one near me now! This is a fond childhood memory of mine and their drinks take me back to simpler times :) Lines have been pretty long and waiting around half an hour but if you're in no rush it's no issue. I know they're famous for the omomo matcha (pro tip: add oreo) but my favorite is the Ceylon Milk Tea Creamomo with either boba or taro paste. SO yummy and lightly floral kinda like earl grey. A few high top standing tables and benches for waiting around for your order but this isn't really a place to stop in and have your drink. The Commons has a huge parking lot so no issue finding a spot! Employees have been so friendly and accomodating. Happy to have this in the neighborhood now! ** Only thing I will say is to maybe have a microphone for when calling out drink numbers as it gets pretty busy and hard to hear!!!
