Checked out this happening sports bar in Alsip. Deuces is…read moreone of the better bars around here. It doesn't take a lot of effort to be that it seems. Has pretty good happy hours that are cheap. There's also better than expected food at okay prices. Before coming here it looked like it was busy. It's often a good sign. There's plenty of TVs for watching games or whatever. Has plenty of seats at the bar. There's also quite a few tables. Bigger than expected. It's about $6 for cocktails at happy hour. There's better prices in the food though. A lot of cheaper items. It's $10 for the Jumbo Pretzel at happy hour, and we got one of these. Big enough for a few people to be honest. The rest of the menu has burgers and chicken sandwiches. Also has a weekend brunch. There's also Mexican food like fajitas and tacos. Certainly a lot on the menu. They unsurprisingly are slow it seems. For sure it's better than it looks. It's best to go weekdays for the cheaper prices. The menu has a lot of pretty okay things.

If I don't give a f**k was a person he would be it. The parking lot is left trashed. There patrons park down the resident street which leaves no place for people who live there to park. And please don't get me started on the loud music bass at all hours of the night. Karaoke and the infamous motorcycle revving. I've had it. Yes I've gone to the Mayor, Pete the owner of Deuces and of course the Alsip police department. Before all of the chaos Deuces was a nice neighborhood bar and grill now it's ridiculous. Btw I'm sure they are at capacity. But the raggedy ass security guard said he didn't know what the capacity was. At the this point deuces need to leave or community if they cannot get it under control.

Better to go earlier if you want to save on admission. With the crappy cover prices it adds up and isn't worth it because it's often lame to be honest. Found out about it while looking for places around here to go. It's not a great area for certain so the options are limited. This was one of the few bars or restaurants we had not been to yet. Annoying things they have about it. They often charge a cover on the weekends. Go earlier and it can be avoided. It's about $6 to get a whole pitcher on Wednesdays. Choose a house liquor and add fruit juices. Pretty great value. We imagined the food would be worse. It's about $6 for chips and salsa, pretty basic. This turned out to be actually okay. Of course they have the kitchen closed most times so they usually won't even have anything. They also have the usual bar food like burgers and fries. Have to say it's not as bad as it could be. It's closed Mondays. They charge a cover later on the weekends.

Maybe not too authentic but still pretty okay. They have a bar area as well as tables. A lot of fairly authentic ethnic restaurants around here. It's for sure not the most such of these, but it holds up okay. There's a lot of the patrons who are of the culture, as well as others who just want margaritas and tacos. Also looks like a great place for a fiesta. There's often some kind of banquet going on. It's about $10 for a margarita. We got a couple of these. I had the Classic Margarita, which is the original lime one. Refreshing. Food is limited for vegetarian choices. It's about $11 for the House Salad. Basic vegetables are on it. Has an arbol lime vinaigrette, which adds spice. She got the Taco Salad which has cheese and jalapeño crema among other things. Most of the rest of the menu is meaty. There's classics like tortas and that kind of stuff. For sure it's one of the reasons to come to this area. It's not the nicest looking but it's still mostly okay. The restaurant is located at the corner of 111th and Western.

Lawlor's is one of the many such places around here if it wasn't already obvious. A little farther away from the Beverly bars and hangouts. The menu is basic and there's pretty good prices. Basically we walked over here after hitting a few other of the area bars. It's actually in a new location. The older one used to be located closer to 111th and Pulaski. It was a true dive. This one though is a lot more modern looking. Has the same drinks but with food that's also edible. There's still a charm to it though. It's about $5 to get Jameson. There's also plenty on tap. It's about $7 for the Pretzel Bites. Kind of basic with a side of cheese sauce. I used mustard. The rest of the menu has meaty items like pork chops and things like that. Good place to come hang a bit. It's in a new location about a mile away from the old one. This is worth checking out getting away from the more popular places on Western.
