During peak hours there may be a line but the staff is efficient, quick, yet patient and willing to answer questions and adjust ingredients. It always looks clean and inviting inside Dino's. Man, I used to love Dino's. I'm not sure if it's the change to the "Mediterranean Fresh" concept or what, but it's not like it used to be. There used to be combo meals for like $10. I understand prices are going up everywhere, but there is no combo option any more. If you get the entrée, side, and drink now, it's going to run you between $13-23 depending on the side, protein, and beverage you get. The food is mostly the same as I remember. The rice, however, was super dry. Wait times are also LONG here, so don't come in thinking it will be a quick in-and-out. It was easily over 5 minutes waiting only behind one person and there were several waiting for to-go orders that were clearly agitated about how long they were left waiting. read more

I am in love. I ordered online, quick and easy. They hadn't assembled my order until I got there, but the service was fast and friendly. I started with my Original Gyro. Goodness this thing is massive! The beef and lamb combo was juicy and flavorful. Plentiful toppings to balance everything out. The pita held up through eating the whole thing but it was piled so high I made quite a mess, worth it for every bite. Next up the falafel and spicy olive tapenade dip. Crispy, crunchy outside on the falafel, smooth milled texture inside. Not dry at all, but the spicy dip made it even better. The creaminess of the sauce cut a bit of the spiciness. I always forget about this hidden gem of a place. It is a bummer bc they are tucked away near condos and Dunn Bros coffee. Their food is always fresh and delicious. Unfortunately for them they are located in a weird spot that is not super easy to get in and out of- in my opinion. I do wish they had avgolemono soup (lemon chicken soup). I absolutely love Dino's in Falcon Heights, which may explain why my experience at the Woodbury location was so lackluster. The Build-your-own style menu means that anyone unfamiliar with the construction of a gyro or plate is going to take much longer to have it explained to what typically goes into one. That, combined with the general inexperience of the frontline staff when I visited, lead to a slightly confusing visit for the people ahead of me and the people behind me. I can say the pita bread had a nice slight outside crisp with a nice soft inside, the tzatziki sauce was tasty, and the spicy feta had a nice slight kick while keeping that feta tang. I arrived at 330 and purchased the $11 plate, for that I got the original gyro and chicken shawarma which were both bone dry, likely due to being kept in Build-your-own warmers for far too long after the weekend lunch rush, some veggies, and the fries. The fries, though seasoned with Dino's usual seasonings, were overly seasoned which made them a chore to eat because I had to dust off seasoning first just to make it not feel like chewing on sandy mush. Finally, the falafels, managed to be nicely spiced while being nothing but crunch all the way through. In all, the sauces and feta saved the Woodbury location from a 1 star rating for my visit and I think I'll stick to the Falcon Heights location from now on when I want a good and fast Greek fix. read more

OH my goodness! I have always loved this place, but now it is getting even better! I came here with my family (4 people) and it cost about $40 with drinks, entrees, and a side of fries. Which isn't awful for a gyro meal! They used to just have sandwiches, and you would order their basic one, and that was the end of it. Now there is a line of fresh vegetables, and NUMEROUS options that you can get! The picture I uploaded is of a Gyro Salad! I got the cucumber sauce, feta cheese, onion, Pico, cucumber and tomato and it was DELICIOUS! I love that there are healthy options at this place, instead of the basic pita! Especially for people that are gluten free, this is a GREAT option! I will for sure be getting a gyro salad again next time I come!! And If you aren't gluten free, and just want a salad- they give you a cut up pita if you want to dip it into your salad- or my dad made little wraps out of it! Plague Spreaders!! They need to go over with their counter workers proper glove protocol. This afternoon I stopped in to pick up a takeout order at Dino's Woodbury store. I was second in line, along with a couple curbside orders in front of me as well. I watched one of the workers prepare a curbside's order while wearing gloves, she then went out through the two front doors and delivered the order and then came back in. She then went straight back to the line and prepared the person in front of me order, and then accept their cash still wearing the same set of gloves. When she arrived in front of me to make my salads, I asked her to please change out her gloves because I had seen her handle the two entry door handles and also handle cash from the register while wearing the gloves that she had on, and that she was about to handle my food with. She obliged. Given the current state of a pandemic, every business that remains open needs to teach all their workers proper protocol and then send someone into their stores to audit that the procedures are being strictly followed. read more

Dino's is what it is; fast, casual and reasonably affordable Greek-ish food. This particular location is in a small strip mall that contains a coffee shop and an Asian restaurant. The interior is commensurate with what you'd expect to find in any modern local or national chain; clean, neutral colors and easy to read menu boards The menu consists of falafel (not good), gyros, chicken gyros (presumably both of the Kronos variety you find many places) and a few more Americanized items like chicken ceasar, grilled chicken and Philly wraps. For the most part the food is fine for what it is, but there are certainly many places in the Cities you can find better versions of anything listed above (though probably not in Woodbury). read more

Dino's is weird as hell now. They've adopted a Chipotle-esque/Subway style of serving food that is both inconvenient and confusing. They got rid of some tasty stuff, too, and mean mug you when you want to order fries as though they're now some gigantic inconvenience. Why are they an inconvenience, you ask? Because everything is served from one of those warming tray things you find at raisin ranch buffets. Now, that in and of itself would be reason enough to be off-put, but couple that with the fact that there are now eight million (usually unidentifiable) sides/condiments/relishes/bullshit haphazardly strewn about with NO LABELS? Lawdy jesus. "So, like... what do you want on your gyro?" "... Onions." "We have lots of other stuff." Lots of other stuff like beets and shit. Fucking beets. Who the fuck puts beets on a gyro? And that's why the majority of the stuff sitting there is untouched and covered in a dry film of neglect. It doesn't help that the staff don't usually know what the toppings are, either. "What is that... weird beige stuff next to the other beige thing behind the beets?" "Hummus? Oh, no... wait... uh..." "Nevermind, more onions please." Also, the meat that was once fairly delicious when crisped up and hot now sits dying in a pool of some flavorless au jus. I love me some waddly, boiled gyro meat. The sandwich was great- very flavorful, crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside; however I think I like the side salad rather than the seasoned fries which were a bit of a disappointment. I have been to Dino's-Woodbury many times. The last two times I was extremely disappointed with the portion size. They were the two skimpiest gyros I have ever seen and I have eaten at least 150 gyros from a dozen different places. These last two trips here were about 45 days apart, so this must be their new standard. The last trip was pathetic. The thing also had next to zero tatziki sauce on it and minimal meat. You should not leave a gryo & fries meal hungry ever imo, especially for what they are charging (I think a gyro, fries, pop is $11+). The pita was, on the other hand, excellent! But with no meat or tatziki, what does it matter. Add in the fact that the order taker had a tongue ring and spoke so softly that I couldn't hear her. Take that da* thing out of your mouth and speak up. I will NEVER go back to this location. I will have to see if Lakeville and the old original on Snelling are following suit. If so, the whole chain will buckle. I gave two stars because the restaurant is very nice , clean and the pita was excellent. Shape up Dino's! read more

Staying at the Holiday Inn Express Woodbury, I wanted something quick for dinner after work. This was close by and something different with Greek. I was surprised how good it was and price was very reasonable. The service was fast and staff was nice. I had the combo platter with steak kebab and gyro meat with pita bread and small spinach filo dough wrap. The side was soulvaki which was basically couscous salad with some herbs mixed in and vinegar. Overall, I would could back here again since this is above average fast food restaurant. read more

Staff was super friendly and didn't mind giving us an extra scoop of Hummus. My only issue was with the guy sitting next to us is giving me the dagger eyes. I stopped in for something hot to feed a couple of frozen fans who'd just returned from that sub-zero Vikings/Seahawks game at TCF Bank Stadium. I bought two gyro sandwiches, a chicken shawarma sandwich, a falafel salad, and a mess of fries with extra tadziki. I hadn't been to a Dino's in years and wasn't sure what sides/fixings went with which sandwich but the guys at the counter were patient and explained it all to me while my falafel fried. My only complaint was that the falafel, while hot and fresh, was a little skimpy. Service was super fast and while the falafel wasn't as crispy and flavorful as what you'd get at a Middle Eastern restaurant on Central Ave., for a fast food alternative this was pretty good. read more

Dino's has unfortunately gone to a new Chipotle-style format and it couldn't have been worse news for me. I loved it when I would get those nice, crispy strips of gyros meat. Now, they meat is put into a common hold bin and it is positively swimming in juice. This is a problem for me because the meat comes out soggy and has a funny taste. In addition, they have apparently foregone the grill completely as you cant order any of those tasty kebabs anymore. This used to be my favorite spot to satisfy all of my Greek cravings. My day in Woodbury has been bad. Thanks Dino's for adding to the terrible customer service in Woodbury. First of all I'm not sure if the girl making my gyro thought the American cheese they had was just there for show, but after I asked for some American cheese on my gyro, all she said was "No". I then asked for it again and she said my only options were parmesan or feta. I was terribly confused at this point so I just gave up and accepted the parmesan. My friend asked for American cheese right after me and the girl told her yes but it would be extra. Imagine my shock and sadness, disappointment doesn't even begin to cover it. I had 2 quarters in my wallet! I could have afforded the good stuff! Then, I asked a cute little busboy what time they closed. He looked at me and said "no" "No" must be diNOs favorite word. So, my family (of 4) and I used to go to Dino's almost every week. My 4 year old got the same thing every time, a kids meal Gyro with a salad. Before this weekend, it has never been an issue but apparently since they are under new ownership and have a new menu, they are no longer able or willing to provide a kids salad with the kids meal (although we were there last week and got our son a salad with his kids meal). The manager (at least the guy who came out of the back) said that "sorry if we did it for you in the past but with our new menu you only have the option of fries or applesauce, so which one do you want?" It was rude and clearly showed their lack of customer service. After this exchange, instead of getting into it with this guy, my son and I left. They are clearly willing to lose our business (over a children's salad) so we will not be returning to the restaurant. I have been a regular customer there every other weekend for several years. I take my adult autistic there,because he loves to hang out there, (for literally hours at a time). The staff has always been wonderful to us, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food is always tasty. We usually split a combination plate it comes with 2 meat portions, so we get extra bread and almost always have leftovers. Not a bad deal for under $20 bucks. read more
