But there were way too few falafel- almost more veggies than actual falafel. A bit overpriced for what it was. Staff were friendly enough. I've dined at this location for the past six months whenever I want good, fresh food at the Galleria. I always ordered the Sultan Platter for $9 it gives you a portion large enough to satisfy the hunger after lots of shopping. I've tried both the chicken and the gyro, but prefer the taste of the tender gyro. The yellow rice is my favorite. They offer free drinks to mall employees as well. The Dubai chocolate is good for the experience but it is a hefty $5 for a small bar, given the social media craze over it. You can taste it is homemade though. I had a truly awful experience at this restaurant. The food was terrible -- I actually found an insect in my salad, and the kabob skewers were clearly spoiled. To make matters worse, all the tables were dirty, which made the whole place feel unsanitary. When we brought up the issue of the rotten meat to the staff, instead of handling it professionally, the lady we spoke to was incredibly rude and offensive. Rather than offering an apology or a refund, she acted as though there was no problem. Completely unacceptable behavior. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was very fresh, good quality and to top it off, it was a great value. They also threw in pita bread and I got rice as an extra side. Tabouli was perfect. Very fresh and lemony, which is how I like it. The lamb shank was super tender and juicy, I think it could have used a little more of a kick flavor wise, but other than that it was perfect. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the food isn't prepared when you order it . This place came recommended by a trustworthy source, hence I transplanted myself at these coordinates with baited anticipation. I enter with a silly grin on my face, greeting the staff with great vigor and zest. "Hello! I hear you dabble in shawarmas." "We do." "Excellent. I'm looking for an epic shawarma." "Very good Sir. How can we help?" "Glad you asked. Ready? Alright. May I please sample the following, separately, in the following order - marinated chicken, toum (garlic paste), pickle." I proceed to taste all 3. - Marinated chicken: Well-seasoned and juicy all the way through, while maintaining a rebellious char on the surface. - Toum: Delicious, fluffy, cloud-like, no smell of mayo/egg (kudos on getting this right!) - Pickle: Crunchy and tasty. The staff is ok, sometimes they don't seem friendly but maybe(?) it's a language barrier.... maybe they just aren't friendly? And it's always the owners doing the hardest work, the staff is standing around letting them. Located in the food court it's a fun place to watch the ice skating while you eat!
