This is a great park for Camping with friends, because you can buddy park. We had a great spring break with friends here kids enjoyed riding bikes and hiking. Too cool for swimming but they have great facilities for it. The petting zoo was a hit with kids also. Will definitely be back. read more

My family planned this trip for my 40th birthday. We wanted to go camping, but weren't committed to the idea of sleeping bags and tents. Fortunately, we found this place! The people here are very friendly and the cabin was quite comfortable and well-stocked! (Imagine opening up cabinets and drawers to find pots, pans, trivets, dish rack, coffee, sugar and creamer, salt and pepper, corkscrews, plenty of mixing bowls, hair dryer, broom and dustpan, and all sorts of other things.) And thank God! There was air-conditioning; and it worked! :D The cabin we were in had a fold-out bed, which was great since our party consisted of 3 adults and 2 children. The person who prepared it for our stay made sure that there were 5 washcloths and towels available for use. And the beds were comfortable and clean. (The ladder to the loft is steep, so be prepared for that. After a few trips up and down, our 6-year-old and 9-year-old were quite confident.) I recommend bringing a fly swatter. When we were picking up groceries on the way in, our boy asked his father for the fly swatter he saw at the store. Once we were at the cabin, we found it to be VERY useful. The flies took whatever opportunity they could to get inside when we opened the door. We were able to dispose of unwanted visitors, as our boy was on constant alert for an opportunity to use his new tool. We also went to the pool and the playground a few times, along with the petting zoo. They also provide coupons with $2 off admission for adults for the Dinosaur Park across the street, which we went to the next day. Overall, I would gladly recommend this place, and we look forward to coming again in the future! read more

Took the family for a weekend trip. Enjoyed the amenities- pool and hot tub, play ground, weekend activities, dog area, access to the local river without having to go into the state park, pull through sites, friendly and helpful staff! Can't speak highly enough about this RV park. We stayed over spring break in spot 417, and it was nothing short of amazing. Trails down the Paluxy River, bike track for the kids, TWO pools/hot tubs--one for adults and one for kids, live music around the campfire at night, and the petting farm with the sweetest little goats. This RV park is one of the cleanest, and most beautiful that we've stayed in. Lastly, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, hanging out with them, and sharing stories. We stayed here for a week during the off season in November so it was priced very reasonably. The RV spots are easy to get in and out of(they are gravel, but we didn't mind). Decent WiFi, cute little playground/sitting area with a fire pit. Lots of space to walk around and explore. Dinosaur world is right across the street & the state park is literally next door! The petting zoo was a big hit with our 3 year old... he asks to go back almost every day! Lastly the stargazing at night was the cherry on top. This is a great park! It's clean, and well maintained. It offers lots of activities for kids. We were there the weekend of October 13, 2023 with our grandsons ages 7 and 5. They offered hay rides and pumpkin painting. They have a barnyard with goats, a miniature donkey, and A pony. They have a fort replica as well as a bike course. The sites are spacious. You can access the river bed and dinosaur tracks via a trailhead in the rv park. Dinosaur World is across the street, Dinosaur Valley State Park is next door, and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is just a short trip from the RV park. We loved it here. It was our first time, but we will definitely be back. The park is very well maintained, lots of grassy area ,open spaces, big dog park. The sites are large with green grass at every site. It's a beautiful natural area all around there , great for hiking. The State park is right next-door. The grounds are immaculate! Showers are very clean. There are so many activities for children and we had a very enjoyable time. There was a singer on Friday evening who was excellent and then a hayride and Halloween costume contest for the kids on Saturday. We will definitely plan to return with our grandkids. read more

January camping trip in middle of the week. Very quiet. We took spot 420 in back corner to be close to the river for the kids. Fun for finding shells and some minnows and hiking around in the shallow water. Great playground and "fort" made of big logs. Barn yard animals you can pet including goats and mini pony. We didn't do dirt bike track with mini ramps or use basketball court and too cold for kids pool. But kids pool looked great for summer. Very little shade around so bring your own pop up in summer. Quick drive over to dinosaur valley state park. Clean restrooms and WiFi was working well for remote work needs during the day. Will be coming back!! read more

This rv park has so many amenities. We traveled with our 4 kids and all of them had a blast. Dinosaur world fossil rim and dinosaur valley state park are all minutes away. This park is also very dog friendly. We did not bring it dogs this time but we will for sure on our next trip or here. We are from Arlington, tx so it's only 1 and a half hours away. Perfect travel distract for our little ones. We will definitely be back soon. read more

Would not recommend. New park, a few trees planned but it will be a long time before this hot Texas park has any shade. Very expensive park for the area. There is only 1 women and 1 men's shower/bathroom for the hole park and they are closed from 8pm to 9am. You are paying for the use of the facilities which should be available to you throughout your stay. Site are all pull throughs, gravel and they site was very muddy as it rained the day before. I small pool, would not use secondary to the weather, another larger pool being built. Would recommend a stay at Oakdale park, friendly with facilities open for when you need them. read more

We love this place, and we're so disappointed this trip. I'm updating my previous 5 star review to 3. I noticed this trip there is not a smoking policy. So as we took our dog to the dog park people were smoking right next to us. Coming out of the family pool area people smoking. Kids playing on the playground people smoking. Also, we have only been during months you would not typically go swimming (in those months our expectations were well met as the pool facilities were not part of our plans), but since it's Summer and this place has two pools we thought this would be a great way to kick off our Summer. The river as always did not disappoint, but the river is generally low (always, which is great because it makes the river easy to explore), but my daughter really wanted to swim, as kids do in the Summer. There are two pools on property, one for families and one for adults, which is great. The water in the family pool is cold though (we have gotten some much needed rain and the temps have been lower than usual things just haven't warmed up). My daughter swam as long as she could, but came out shivering with blue and purple lips. So we tried the other pool since it has a big hot tub, like big enough to swim. My daughter is well behaved, not loud, not jumping and splashing. Also, there was no one else using the area. We were advised there is an adult only policy and asked to leave because of my daughter (nicely as possible), so we did. My daughter was so upset, she just wants to swim. It's a bummer that this family friendly park is alienating the majority of its clientele from the only hot tub on property, especially when the other pool is unseasonably cold. This trip really was a bummer. I would recommend this place, but if swimming is a big part of your plans I recommend only coming in the dead heat of summer until they are able to add a tiny bit of heat to the pool when needed, or until there is a family hot tub option. I know the cold water didn't just impact us, the most people we ever saw at the pool this trip was 6 people (only one other person got in because it was so cold). It was just not enjoyable. Again, this review is because we came with the intention of swimming a lot. read more

We came in March 2022 and August 2022 and it was fantastic. Pools/animals/playground/river access. All great. My daughter loved all the baby goats in March and was excited to see Princess running around in August. My sons favorite is of course the pool. I read a review about a smoking policy and I don't think it's necessary since it's very open and even smokers should be able to enjoy themselves. Complain to the campers not the park. Anyway, looking forward to seeing premium sites and additional amenities. Movie nights by the pool is a lot of fun and above all the staff is my favorite. read more

This place is a hidden gem in Glen Rose Tx. There is so much to do for kids, they will be running all day and sleep all night. This RV park has it all, is clean, and a great staff. Plenty of private bathrooms with showers, a kid pool and adult pool. They have movie nights for the kids, a petting zoo, RC racetrack and so much more. The hottub is perfect on a cold day, we sat in it for a few hours this weekend and enjoyed the cool air and perfect hot water temperature. We visit this place a few times a year and each time we stay, it gets just a little better. They are constantly improving the campgrounds and adding kid friendly activities. Located on the Paluxy river with plenty of hiking trails and directly across the road from Dinosaur World, your kids won't be disappointed and neither will the adults. This place is a must visit, great now our little secret is out there, it's worth the drive to visit. read more

We had a great time at Dinosaur Ball RV. It is obviously new so there is no shade to protect from the hot Texas sun but the park was clean, the pool was clean and very nice for the family, and the river was a blast! We rented a golf cart which was well maintained and made getting around the park so easy. The river was so much fun and mostly shaded. Not sure why there are 2 pools and only 1 open but that's management prerogative as long as the one open was clean and inviting. We are making plans to return for sure! Oh, one more plus was that the park is laid out so the sun sets to the back of your camper giving great evening shade. read more

Dinosaur Valley RV Park quickly joined the top of our list for favorite spots to visit. River access, separate family & adult pools, playground, super nice owners and employees, plus Gorgeous night skies! We also visited Fossil Rim, swam in the river at Big Rocks Park, and enjoyed ice cream at Shoo-Fly soda shop downtown.... all were less than 10 mins away. This is a great place to camp! We were very happy with the campgrounds even though they are still adding to it. We spent three peaceful days and wI'll definitely be back with grandkids and nieces. This little RV park was everything my little family needed for an awesome two day getaway. The park was absolutely built with families in mind. There is a cute playground , very nice pool, fire pit with Adirondacks, and yard games. At the back of the property is a trail with Paluxy River access. We hiked and biked and cooled down in the river. The owners are the sweetest family. The location is directly across from Dinosaur World and right outside the exit of the state park. September 25, 2021- Site 111 I give this place 4.99 stars!! The only reason for the .01 deduction is the lack of shade. The park is new and they have trees planted at the sites. So, give this place a couple of years and I'll add the .01 back for lack of shade. The park is perfectly situated on the Paluxy River with easy access down to the river. You can also access the state park on the opposite bank if you want to explore more hiking trails. The drive into Glen Rose only takes a few minutes if you need to run back for any items or a quick meal. The owners and staff are awesome! They are always friendly when you have a question and responsive to phone calls even after hours. This place had plenty of things to do for the family. You won't be disappointed. We went ahead and reserved our slot for this time next year!! We moved to site 411 which puts us right across from the river access point, and a deer feeder to watch the wildlife in the mornings and evenings. read more
