My family planned this trip for my 40th birthday. We wanted to go camping, but weren't committed to the idea of sleeping bags and tents. Fortunately, we found this place! The people here are very friendly and the cabin was quite comfortable and well-stocked! (Imagine opening up cabinets and drawers to find pots, pans, trivets, dish rack, coffee, sugar and creamer, salt and pepper, corkscrews, plenty of mixing bowls, hair dryer, broom and dustpan, and all sorts of other things.) And thank God! There was air-conditioning; and it worked! :D The cabin we were in had a fold-out bed, which was great since our party consisted of 3 adults and 2 children. The person who prepared it for our stay made sure that there were 5 washcloths and towels available for use. And the beds were comfortable and clean. (The ladder to the loft is steep, so be prepared for that. After a few trips up and down, our 6-year-old and 9-year-old were quite confident.) I recommend bringing a fly swatter. When we were picking up groceries on the way in, our boy asked his father for the fly swatter he saw at the store. Once we were at the cabin, we found it to be VERY useful. The flies took whatever opportunity they could to get inside when we opened the door. We were able to dispose of unwanted visitors, as our boy was on constant alert for an opportunity to use his new tool. We also went to the pool and the playground a few times, along with the petting zoo. They also provide coupons with $2 off admission for adults for the Dinosaur Park across the street, which we went to the next day. Overall, I would gladly recommend this place, and we look forward to coming again in the future!

Took the family for a weekend trip. Enjoyed the amenities- pool and hot tub, play ground, weekend activities, dog area, access to the local river without having to go into the state park, pull through sites, friendly and helpful staff! They are working to expand and have even more area to grow. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Can't speak highly enough about this RV park. We stayed over spring break in spot 417, and it was nothing short of amazing. Trails down the Paluxy River, bike track for the kids, TWO pools/hot tubs--one for adults and one for kids, live music around the campfire at night, and the petting farm with the sweetest little goats. This RV park is one of the cleanest, and most beautiful that we've stayed in. Lastly, we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, hanging out with them, and sharing stories. Their love for people and children is something special. We can't wait to re-visit this Summer! -The Wilson's

We stayed here for a week during the off season in November so it was priced very reasonably. The RV spots are easy to get in and out of(they are gravel, but we didn't mind). Decent WiFi, cute little playground/sitting area with a fire pit. Lots of space to walk around and explore. Dinosaur world is right across the street & the state park is literally next door! The petting zoo was a big hit with our 3 year old... he asks to go back almost every day! Lastly the stargazing at night was the cherry on top. Highly recommend to anyone that loves dinosaurs or nature!

We absolutely loved loved love our stay at dinosaur Valley RV park!!!!!!! we took our seven month old dog down to the river and she had so much fun running and playing... The owners and the people that work here are very friendly and accommodating !!! Once you have stayed at this RV park...... I don't know if you could find anything better!!!!! Totally amazing and absolutely loved our evening swim in the adult pool... The dog who we left in her crate in the RV wasn't as happy

This is a great park! It's clean, and well maintained. It offers lots of activities for kids. We were there the weekend of October 13, 2023 with our grandsons ages 7 and 5. They offered hay rides and pumpkin painting. They have a barnyard with goats, a miniature donkey, and A pony. They have a fort replica as well as a bike course. The sites are spacious. You can access the river bed and dinosaur tracks via a trailhead in the rv park. Dinosaur World is across the street, Dinosaur Valley State Park is next door, and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is just a short trip from the RV park. I highly recommend staying in Dinosaur Valley RV Park.

Well our check in was amazing, girls at desk very professional, friendly and helpful. The actual park is a Gem, all pull thru sites, full hook ups well spaced for privacy. The sites each have small grassy well maintained lawns, super clean, a swimming pool on site, small store at check in with souvenirs.

We love this place, and we're so disappointed this trip. I'm updating my previous 5 star review to 3. I noticed this trip there is not a smoking policy. So as we took our dog to the dog park people were smoking right next to us. Coming out of the family pool area people smoking. Kids playing on the playground people smoking. Also, we have only been during months you would not typically go swimming (in those months our expectations were well met as the pool facilities were not part of our plans), but since it's Summer and this place has two pools we thought this would be a great way to kick off our Summer. The river as always did not disappoint, but the river is generally low (always, which is great because it makes the river easy to explore), but my daughter really wanted to swim, as kids do in the Summer. There are two pools on property, one for families and one for adults, which is great. The water in the family pool is cold though (we have gotten some much needed rain and the temps have been lower than usual things just haven't warmed up). My daughter swam as long as she could, but came out shivering with blue and purple lips. So we tried the other pool since it has a big hot tub, like big enough to swim. My daughter is well behaved, not loud, not jumping and splashing. Also, there was no one else using the area. We were advised there is an adult only policy and asked to leave because of my daughter (nicely as possible), so we did. My daughter was so upset, she just wants to swim. It's a bummer that this family friendly park is alienating the majority of its clientele from the only hot tub on property, especially when the other pool is unseasonably cold. This trip really was a bummer. I would recommend this place, but if swimming is a big part of your plans I recommend only coming in the dead heat of summer until they are able to add a tiny bit of heat to the pool when needed, or until there is a family hot tub option. I know the cold water didn't just impact us, the most people we ever saw at the pool this trip was 6 people (only one other person got in because it was so cold). It was just not enjoyable. Again, this review is because we came with the intention of swimming a lot.

Dinosaur Valley RV Park is a first class campground. There is a lot to do. It's clean, spacious & level sites, family pool and adult pool with hot tub, pet friendly, planned activities, and beautifully maintained. We had 3 campsites and all of us LOVED this RV park. We will be back!

Then were told it was just $16,900 for a membership to just Tres Rios and that nobody ever took that one because take a guess at how much it is for a membership to include all their resorts. Cmon take a guess, no really take a guess. $20,000, $25,000 maybe $30k. Not even close!!! It's the same price!!!!!How amazing is that? How can this be? Oh the insanity of these folks to sell all of that for the same price as just the one. No wonder anyone ever took the deal with just one resort! Tried a soft close then went and looked at the resort. Then came back and tried another close. When still resisted the awesomeness of this deal, they brought in the The Closer, the manger, the magic man, the man that could make things happen. Have you ever seen the old movie "Used Cars"? Do these morons think nobody has sat and listened to a cheesy used car salesman before. Because he liked us so much. I felt so special and unique. He offered us not only Tres Rios but a resort in Oklahoma and wait there's more. All the other resorts plus access to all Coast to Coast resorts. And all this for guess how much? Cmon you guessed so bad last time give it another try. Ok I won't make ton wait anymore. All that for $8000. I sat there and thought you MFers tried to sell me at $16,000 and then come in at $8k. Wow what a sleezy sales tactic. Then tells me if money is a problem I can finance with only half down. I assure him that money was not the issue. We would never use enough to justify not to mention they tried to bend me over. He kept talking about money and even the girl that had showed us around even stated telling him money wasn't the issue. He was getting pissed and dug deep telling me I owed it to my family to take them on vacations and leave this membership to them when I died. Told him I have 3 grown ass kids that none of them like to camp or stay in RV Parks. They have left home and can pay for their own vacations. He just could not believe that I wasn't falling or his superior sales tactics and pitches. Sad part of it is the girl that gave us the tour and was our sales person was doing well and I might have bought from her. The whole thing was very unpleasant. Oh yeah they tell you upfront there's no high pressure or arm twisting to buy. Now about the park. It's nice. In between three rivers like the name says. Gave us a site that was all dirt. You'd think if your wanting to sell someone you'd give them a nice spot. Office folks were hit or miss. We're really friendly upon arrival but went back another day and seemed stressed because of phone calls and were short that day. The resort has live oaks and pine trees Only one shower building with two showers each for men and women. Pretty clean considering public restrooms/showers. It's not a bad place to spend a few days. Just know your going to sit through an ass beating sales presentation. Good place for kids as have a play ground and they can play in Squaw Creek as well as adults can sit in lawn chairs in the creek. Just remember to put your adult beverages in a cup that is not glass anywhere other than your camp site. Most of the other guests were friendly. Just don't step foot on anyone's else's camp site. Some folks take that stuff serious.

Plenty of room for our 42' fifth-wheel and two trucks. The park is nestled in-between three rivers (thus the name, Tres Rios). We have totally enjoyed our stay and our membership!

There's actual dinosaur tracks preserved in the rock at Dinosaur Valley State Park, and that just adds even more fun to the experience! We went for the day and the entrance fee was $8 per adult. They accept cards and cash at the Ranger Station. Prior to arriving I tried to buy tickets online, but I kept only seeing tickets for overnight camping. Nonetheless, we were still able to pay at the entrance and we were even able to get out and use the restroom facilities at the entrance. Once you pay your entrance fee, a ranger will give you a trail map. There is ample parking inside the park, so there are lots of possibilities on where to start your adventure. We started on the Pawluxy River trail and crossed over to the main track site where the dinosaur prints are very clear. The river crossing has slightly protruding rocks that you have to navigate on foot to get across the river. I wore hiking boots and I think this was ideal for the environment. From there we switched to the overlook trail where the elevation is 850 ft, so you get a great view of the whole Pawluxy River Valley. From there we descended to the Black-capped Vireo Trail, then crossed the Pawluxy River to make our way back to our car. While there's endless combinations of hikes you can take, ours took about 3 hours. Along the way there were lots of people. Mostly gathered at the river and at the tracks. The rest of the trails were actually very quiet and peaceful. In addition to hiking, there are other points of interest. There are dinosaur models, a swimming hole and of course multiple dinosaur track sites. Overall, Dinosaur Valley is a great state park with something for everyone!

There were some wonderful employees and enjoyable moments, but there were also several disappointments that made it difficult to justify the $485 we spent for our family of three (including my 12- and 14-year-old sons). When we first arrived, the woman at the entrance was very friendly and helpful. We asked how to make the most of our day, and she suggested visiting the overlook, café, gift shop, and the Wildlife Experience before our 11:00 a.m. tour. She also explained that tour vehicles returned every 60 minutes and implied that we could either get off at the overlook or stay on the vehicle if we preferred. The Wildlife Experience was enjoyable, and we appreciated that recommendation. Our first tour guide was excellent--friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. However, he also told us we would stop at the overlook for about 45 minutes before another vehicle returned. It appears remaining on the vehicle was not an option. After eating lunch and browsing the gift shop, we returned outside around 12:05 p.m. A vehicle arrived, but it was for a private tour. We were told another one would arrive in about 15 minutes. Instead, we waited until approximately 1:05 p.m., with around 30 people waiting. This is where the experience became frustrating. The young female driver announced she was picking up the 10:00 a.m. tour group, but then allowed at least one couple from our 11:00 a.m. group to board. When I asked about our group, she said boarding was "first come, first served," which directly contradicted what she had just told everyone. After making a phone call, she rearranged passengers so our family could board, she knew I was upset. She was informative during the drive, although her microphone stopped working and she had to raise her voice. That part was understandable. What I did find unprofessional was her repeated use of slang such as "trust" throughout her presentation. It felt out of place for a guided educational tour. I also noticed several children who appeared to be three years old or younger sitting in seats without an adult directly beside them, which raised some safety concerns. After the tour, we arrived at the Lodge around 2:10 p.m., knowing check-in wasn't until 3:00 p.m. The front desk employee politely explained that our room wasn't ready unless we had purchased early check-in, which we completely understood. We spent some time shopping in town before returning. The staff member who checked us in later was very friendly, and gave us a tour of the lodge. Our room itself was nice, clean, and had an extremely comfortable bed. Unfortunately, the lodge itself was not what we expected based on the photos online. There is very little to do on the property. While it's understandable that guests cannot freely explore because of the wildlife, we expected more amenities. We discovered board games ourselves, only to find many were missing pieces or broken. We also learned there was no pool table, despite it still appearing in Google photos. We were later told it had been removed approximately two years ago. Updating the online photos would help set more accurate expectations for future guests. That evening, heavy rain moved through the area. The ceiling fan light in our room would not turn off, and the fan remote was not functioning properly. Since there is no room phone, we had to call through Fossil Rim's main system to reach someone at the lodge. A staff member came to our room around 12:14 a.m. and was extremely kind and apologetic. He attempted to fix the problem but did not have a replacement remote or battery. He offered us a portable fan and later a lantern, which we appreciated, although neither solved the issue. His customer service was excellent despite the situation being unresolved. Breakfast the following morning was acceptable, and we appreciated having access to the dining area throughout the evening. There were no spoons, so I had to go downstairs and ask for some. The lady came up and went into the blocked for "Staff Only" , kitchen and got them out of the dish washer, then proceeded to turn on the dishwasher, so we hope our spoons were clean. Overall, the Wildlife Experience was decent, especially for families with younger children, and several employees provided outstanding customer service. However, the confusion surrounding the shuttle system, inconsistent communication, outdated online photos, limited lodge activities, and maintenance issues made the overall experience fall short of expectations. For $485 for the lodge and tour, I don't feel the overnight lodge stay provided enough value, particularly for families with older children or teenagers. If you're visiting, I would recommend the Wildlife Experience and safari, but I would carefully consider whether staying overnight at the Lodge is worth the additional

The location alone makes it worth a visit, with beautiful views of the water and a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for spending an afternoon or evening outdoors. One of the standout features is the outdoor music stage. It is perfectly positioned near the river, and they consistently seem to bring high-quality bands to town. If you enjoy live music, this is one of the best venues in the area. The combination of great music, river views, and an outdoor setting creates a fun and memorable experience. The seating options are spread throughout the property, with tables and chairs on the deck overlooking the river as well as additional seating closer to the stage. Because the venue is popular, it can be challenging to find a seat near the stage during busy events, so arriving early is a good idea. The food was another pleasant surprise. We ordered the burger and a pizza, and both exceeded our expectations. The menu is casual, but the quality was better than we anticipated and paired well with a night of live music. The craft beer selection is somewhat limited, but the prices are reasonable and there are enough options to satisfy most visitors. One thing to keep in mind is that the venue is largely open-air. During the Texas summer, it can become uncomfortably hot, especially during the afternoon. Fortunately, the atmosphere and river breeze help make up for it once the sun starts to go down. Overall, this is an excellent place for live music, drinks, good food, and socializing with friends while enjoying beautiful river views. It has a laid-back Texas Hill Country feel that makes it one of Glen Rose's most enjoyable gathering spots.

When I asked what it was, they said it was for using a credit card. They didn't know I was using a credit card when they brought the check to me, so pay attention to it if you are paying with cash. They'll remove the fee if you ask.
