Not to mention their whole team is awesome. I mainly worked with Taryn and she was amazing and was very helpful with sorting out the questions and finalizing my particular customizations I wanted. Alisa was very nice assisting with the initial visit and assisting when Taryn was out. I had the best experience ever and I'm thankful that I bought from this location. The whole team needs a raise, especially Taryn and Alisa deserve one though because they took the most time sorting everything out and helping work through all the hassles of the work flow. Taryn was exceptional helping me find something that I loved that also fit my style too, big props to her she definitely deserves a bonus and employee of the month. it's only fair because she helped me with my SpongeBob bracelet. I highly recommend, pleasantly surprised and highly satisfied with my purchase and the entire experience. They were down to earth, helpful, kind, supportive, fast and very efficient.. not to mention they took extra time to research and prepare a lot of extra stuff when I was looking/shopping for options. 11/10 you will not be disappointed. Give Taryn and Alisa a raise.. It was a little before close, so I was expecting to have to leave my band there for them to work on it, but they were able to work their magic in the time we were there and get the ring to finally fit my finger comfortably. Do not use Cecil's. I've been taking things to Cecil's for 30+ years and I'm done. Worst service…read moreever, with extremely rude personnel and an overall lack of respect for their customers' time and money. I took a winter coat there 7 months ago for repair. A very pleasant lady showed us how it would be fixed and said it would be a couple of months before the repair would be complete. I checked in after 3 months and was told by them that they were behind and would get it to me soon. That wasn't a problem with me because it's a winter coat and it was spring at the time I called to check on it. I checked in a couple of months later-- it's now May--and was told that it wasn't even started. I was also told they were working on things in the order in which they were received. I know they are busy and a small business, but all I received were a lot of excuses for not finishing the job they handedly took. Because of this, I asked if they could give us a more concrete timeline of when the coat would be repaired, since we had been waiting since January now. They proceeded to tell me that they would talk to the woman who does these kinds of repairs and get back to me with an update. After one month of receiving NO contact from them, I decided to stop in to see what was going on. However, I was greeted with more excuses for why the coat was not repaired: they are busy, working on getting people's sandals done, a small business, etc. As someone who has been going to Cecil's for 30+ years, I was disappointed to receive excuses rather than solutions for my coat repair. Nevertheless, I wanted to remain hopeful it would get done, despite the fact that I certainly was not happy with how they had handled the situation thus far. We stopped in 10 days ago after once again receiving NO contact from Cecil's regarding my coat repair, and that's when I really began to see their decline in real-time. We were greeted with familiar news that the coat repair had not been started, along with the usual excuses regarding their status as a small business and how busy they were. I respectfully pushed them to get working on my coat, since they had had the coat for nearly 7 months now. However, I was told that the woman who does these kinds of repairs was on vacation and would be back on Wednesday. They specifically told me that she would reach out and give me a more concrete timeline for when the coat would be repaired. So, I waited until the end of the week, and unsurprisingly, I heard nothing. I called back today to try and understand why they couldn't get my coat repaired in a timely fashion, and yet again, the woman I spoke with provided many, many excuses for why it wasn't done: the woman doing these kinds of repairs was out on a family emergency, they needed to get sandals done first (I guess first in, first out doesn't apply or at least not consistently), they aren't doing coats anymore, and the usual small business one. In addition, she noted that everyone working there has been continuing this work at low pay. And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the woman I am speaking with begins roaring in laughter and a moment later says, "oh I just saw something really adorable." At this point, I realized the coat would never get done; I guess the customer she was talking to wasn't important enough to listen to. She proceeded to ask me what I wanted from her, and I simply asked why they would do this (referring to how they strung us along and didn't honor their commitment) and was accused of being an angry customer-I never raised my voice or used a cross tone. Even though I had every right to be an angry customer, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt as much as I could. However, she continued to make excuses by blaming this entire predicament on their status as a small business. Apparently, she claims, they tend to take in more than they can actually fix, and that their underperformance was a part of their status as a "small business." I know plenty of small businesses that do NOT share this same attitude and therefore don't find that claim excusable in the slightest. However, what really irked me about this entire situation was that there was NO apologies given for this terrible experience, as well as NO accountability for their actions; just excuses. I picked up the coat today and took it to Monroe Street Shoe Repair - exceptional service, friendly, helpful and organized. If you have a repair, I highly recommend you go there instead. It's truly sad to see what Cecil's has become, and their inability to take care of their customers. I don't see them recovering from this in the long-term, so save yourself the time and refrain from utilizing Cecil's.

Being a life long Madison resident, I had heard of several jewelers in the area. I visited a few other stores before coming to Diny's and my search ended there because I could tell they truly wanted what was best for me and my fiancée. I recently purchased an engagement ring at Diny's and was very impressed with their service and knowledge of the products. I was explained that I was looking for a very traditional ring and they were able to tell me about all the possible options within the setting. Walking through the door I did not know too much about diamonds, but now, after going through the process I am much more knowledgeable. I worked closely through Sara who explained the different cuts, clarity, color and carats. She was very patient as I made multiple trips back to the store while considering different diamonds. The ring was an absolute perfect fit for our perfect moment when my fiancée said yes! The service, knowledge and expertise that was offered from Sara, Pete and Bev far exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend looking to them for any type of jewelry needs! read more

I can't say enough about Diny's Jewelers! I took my grandmother's engagement ring in to have it sized down so I could wear it. They preserved the setting and put a comfort fit band on the ring. It is amazing and appraised at a much higher amount than I ever would have imagined. In addition, I brought in my engagement ring, which I haven't worn in years because it is set in yellow gold. I was able to get a beautiful new setting the same day. Nick's advice was spot on and I felt very comfortable that he had my best interests in mind. There is a very personalized feeling at Diny's. It is obvious that they care a lot about their customers. I now wear both rings proudly and would strongly recommend Diny's for your jewelry needs! read more

I enjoyed meeting the whole Diny family. They were knowledgable, helpful and efficient. I brought in my jewelry drawer to de-clutter the house and didn't know junk from real jewelry. They gave me what I thought was a fair price + were willing to negotiate a ring price and customize the new ring for our 30th wedding anniversary. It has channel set diamonds and emeralds around the solitaire and was always very shiny and sparkly. They clearly don't know how to set channel stones because when I got it back the stones were crooked and set too low in the channel, so no more sparkly ring. I eventually met with one of the owners to see about fixing it and she said it was just dirty and cleaned it and that was all I got! I sometimes still want to cry when I think of how pretty my ring was and how much money I wasted!

They agreed to remount stone in a 14K mount which took months to get. They than chipped the stone and when I noticed (I had not even left to store) they then filed it down and said well it is the same weight as the one we sold you (OK really? May be the same weight but have you never heard the cut of the stone makes a difference (becuase now my ideal cut stone has been chipped and filed down by you). I was so frustrated I gave up on this which I should not have done. This was a really long process and I am now stuck with this item.
