I've never had anyone take the skin off my feet for a pedicure... until now. I had a pedicure on Monday night. The pictures are from Friday. It hurts so bad to walk on my feet due to this. I really did like coming here. My hands look great, but I don't know if I can ever recommend this place now. They did give me $20 off when I complained and showed them my bleeding feet. I have lived in queen creek for a few years and have never come here until today. OMG! I love this place. They are under NEW management and the new owners are so fun! The vibe is so chill and I LOVE all the live plants and flowers. And it smells so nice and relaxing in here. I got a full set and pedicure and the service was AMAZING and so personalized. The prices were comparable to other salons but the atmosphere was so much better. 10/10 would recommend if you want a salon that feels like family! read more

I was offered a beverage of my choice (not just a bottled water) and the person at the front desk came to ask about my visit during my visit which was appreciated. Been here several times. I have left disappointed many times and often file my nails again afterwards. I've had full sets of acrylics, gel manicure only, and pedicures here. I've had pedicures that left my with cuts and bleeding. I've had my manicure leave me with jagged and flaky cuticles. Overall would not recommend unless you find a specific nail tech you like. Experience A: (pictured) Today was pretty unfortunate for my nails. I came in because I got a coupon since it's my birthday. Not only did I not receive the birthday % off coupon, my nails came out crooked, I had dried acrylic gel under my nails even after the tech went back and drilled some of it off, my cuticles look bad etc. When filing my nails, the nail tech was scraping the skin on either side of my nails. My cuticles have since dried after washing off the oil & look worse than the pics I took in the parking lot. They're also too thick for my liking, have a lot of texture and are not very smooth feeling. Also when leaving, the nail tech that checked me out was the same one who did my pedicure. I gave him a $20 and asked for 3x $5's and 5x $1's so I could leave the tips in cash. He gave me 4x $5's. When I asked for 5x $1's so I could give cash tips, he just kept the 5. I had to repeatedly ask. Even if I am not happy with the service, I still tip 20% and have a hard time voicing my dissatisfaction so it wasn't like I was being demanding or disrespectful. Experience B: (not pictured) When I've had just a plain white gel manicure, (a different nail tech) put the polish so far away from my cuticles that my nails already looked grown out & they chipped within a day. I had them filed the way I liked before I walked in, they were short and I didn't want them any shorter. I was hoping to grow them out and try get manicures consistently. This nail tech filed them even though I already told her I liked the shape and she made them short, crooked and inconsistent. I was able to peel all my nails off within the week of having them done because the gel just didn't hold up. Experience C: (not pictured) I had a manicure that turned out poorly on another occasion but I did not have time for them to correct it. I came in the next day asking to have it completely redone. The manager (I believe it was) had me see the same nail tech. I do not want to see the same nail tech to fix the problem when they did such a poor job the first time. All of the nail tech were busy, including the one that was supposed to help me. So she bounced back and forth between me and the other person she was helping. They thought it was enough to only fix the one nail that was chipped instead of listening to my request. I wish the reviewers would put the name of the nail tech so I knew who (not) to ask for. I truly don't understand how this place has the higher rating that it does because the work I've received on so many occasions just does not match. There's maybe one decent nail tech here. DO NOT COME HERE! I'm floored that I have to write this but There is likely a pedo here, I would BET MONEY ON IT!!! A mom is here with her 2 girls about 9 years old. They're all getting pedicures and all have women except the young girl in a mini skirt (nothing inappropriate, just like a school girl skirt). He watched me watch him and is now glaring at me repeatedly. He also did NOT give her a towel to cover her legs!!! They have given all of us women a towel, I even got one and I'm in a longer dress. The technician that did my pedicure dug and picked at my skin so badly, that it was bleeding. He cleaned it with cuticle oil and continued on with the pedicure, checking on the bleeding occasionally and dabbing the dripping blood. I got home and looked down and things what I saw. My nails are extremely thin and that made them worse. She also ripped the nail on my pinky finger and had to use something to repair it which turned out thick and not nice looking. I asked for a specific color and she said she'd mix two colors to achieve that but what I got looked like bright white, similar to "white-out". A salon that *actually* feels like home. Jayson does a wonderful job w/ pedicures & the new mgmt is very personable. They make an effort to remember your name and it's clear they want their customers to stick around, unlike many salons i've visited. They run a tight ship, have water/treats to offer while waiting and in the chair & have never made me feel like an inconvenience if a towel is too hot, color isn't right, you name it. One thing i LOVED to see with new mgmt is STERILIZATION PACKS! wow! So many salons neglect to give the level of care that is required to keep things sterile and I was amazed to have seen sterile instruments for the *first* time at any salon - It is very important to see in medical, dental, even nail salon settings that the tools used are sterile and to see them open the sealed pack in front of you as per infection control standards is wonderful. I recently moved and therefore needed to find my new nail person. I have been to three other nail salons in the area. I gave each one a two visit minimum but quickly was striking out. I came to Dip Nail Spa as a walk-in today for a dip mani and gel pedi. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I asked if I could get an ombré on my nails and that I would like them done first before my pedi (I like to get them out of the way so I can relax and enjoy the pedi and massage chair). I had a vision of what I wanted in my head and how I wanted it done. My nail tech, Thi, was more then willing to do them how I "thought" I wanted it but gave me her suggestion as well. I was thinking I wanted to cut my natural nails and put tips on but she suggested to keep my natural nail as they were long and in good condition. I was hesitant at first but decided to go with it. The whole time I was in her chair she was friendly and really seemed to know what she was doing. Not only was she professional but she was meticulous and made sure each nail was perfect. Needless to say, they came out AMAZING, better then I imagined!!!!! Thank you, Thi, for being fantastic!!!! I will be coming to you from now on! The pedicure was just as great! First, I was impressed with the pedicure options and the services that were included in each one. And...I was shocked at the prices! Very reasonable!! My tech Ryan did a great job!!! This place was awesome! It was my first time going there, but I decided to give it a go based on Yelp reviews & community recommendation. I originally asked for Thi, but she wasn't available yet. I waited for a little bit and then decided to ask the other staff if any of them would be able to do a gel manicure. They said, "SURE! we just didn't want to take over if you had a specific person in mind. We understand that." #CustomerServiceFirst I have seen other reviews for this spa and complaints about it being too busy, so I can't speak to that because I did a walk in this morning shortly after they opened. My experience was that they were very kind and attentive! The staff that helped me were not pushy either and I LOVE THAT! Julie took care of me out and she is amazing! She did a gel manicure for me and is super detail oriented and easy to communicate with. I almost didn't want to post this review because I'm sure when the secret gets out, she will be booked solid! I dislike leaving bad reviews especially for a new business, but this is not what customer service is! Very disappointing experience and unprofessional service at this nail salon. The owner seems to care about her usual customers or those who come in groups of 2-3 or more. She doesn't bother about the single accounts. 1. No one bothered to greet or talk about the services, price list or which table/chair to go to for the manicure and pedicure. I made an appointment and was 10 minutes early. Despite the salon not being crowded, it wasn't welcoming. 2. The man who did my pedicure was very sweet and chatty. He was gentle when I told him I couldn't tolerate harsh scrubbing or scraping of the cuticles. Did a great job, hence the 2 stars for him! I wish I could give him more but lack of stars go to the owner and lady who did my so called manicure for $40! 3. No one bothered to ask for water despite the owner offering water to what seemed like her known customers. 4. I was asked to walk over to the dip counter as I wanted dip nails and manicure. 5. Very rude and unprofessional lady doing my dip. She did not bother to do a manicure - soak, remove cuticles or massage. Instead she ground my nails and cuticles in a painful manner leaving bruises. Despite telling her 4 times to go easy, she said my nails were bad and cuticles were overgrown. WTF is that for customer service instead of going easy and not rushing with an automatic scrubber in hand. 6. She rushed through the dip, leaving empty spots at the edges. At this point I was done as I'd already mentioned it 4 times to her and she kept blaming my short nails and cuticles. I asked her if this is how dip is done here. I've got it done numerous times and nowhere did they do the dip without a manicure first. She said every tech is different and this is how she does it. 7. I asked her for water since I forgot my bottle and I'd been there for 1.5 hours and parched. It was funny because she had just given 3 other customers water. She told me that they ran out of water and didn't have anymore. Seriously? She was least interested and hurt my nails, causing pain and distress. When I asked her if she's going to remove the cuticles which she bruised while grinding with the stone, she said she'll do it at last. Again no soaking no manicure. Who even removes cuticles on a dry nail? That is painful af! I am heading out of town with my husband, which is why I decided to go to this nail salon as it was close by and they had appointments. Had I known the service was this bad, would've never gone. However spend 78$ for this painful crap and gave a tip even for time spent! I'd never go here again nor recommend this place to anyone. If you want bruised cuticles, badly done nails, and unprofessional attitude or lack of courtesy, this place is it! read more

I was going to give this nail salon 3 stars then realized how dry my hand was after the service. I came to this nail salon because I was in need of a no chip manicure and it was close to my job. Prior to arriving I called to ask if they have OPI colors and they did but very minimum. I had gel nail polish on most fingers, no broken nails. The nail technician Tony used the electronic e filer to remove my color. After a while he realized I still had gel polish. He then brought a bag FULL OF ALCOHOL and told me to put my right hand inside it. So I did. In the meantime he was using the e-filer on my LEFT hand and noticed he was chipping my nails! He used the e-filer so much on my hand that the nail was literally FLIMSY! It was thin to a point you can easily break it! I obviously brought it to his attention, so he switched hands. He told me to take the right hand out of the bag and he proceeded to continue e filing the nails where there was polish on. SAME THING as my LEFT hand. Used the e-filer so much my index nail literally chipped, the smallest nail I currently have. I brought it up to his attention and nearby technician came to finish the job. She did better! I assume the owner/manager knew that I was obviously not content with the service, so she gave me a Vitamin C hand lotion. THANK YOU because after leaving my hand in a bag full of alcohol for 5 minutes or more, you better believe my hand was drier than the heat in Arizona. if you dont know by now, most nail salons use higher % alcohol than what you find at your regular drug store. I do not recommend this place unless you really care and know about your no chip manicures. I personally prefer OPI nail polish and LOATHE when nail technicians use the e-filer. Its a lazy but quick method of removing your existing nail polish and definitely causes nail damage. read more
