Really enjoyed the chicken fried steak--tender and flavorful! Gravy was good, and the hash browns and eggs were on target (though I prefer my hash browns less shredded, if that makes sense??). My wife thought the shrimp and grits were excellent. Take a look at the accompanying photo -- doesn't the dish look great?? Throw in excellent service and reasonable prices -- well done! Cheers! RS

This place is what you should think of when you think of a small town diner! The friendliest of staff, great homestyle food, and home like atmosphere. Definitely want to try more things.

Pretty full on a Sunday at like 1030 but didn't take too long to get seated. Food comes out quick. The biscuits are very good and a little sweet. Chicken and waffles very good too, nice flavor on the chicken. Cinnamon roll super yummy.

Located a few minutes outside of Dahlonega Square, easy to locate with plenty of parking. My impression is that this family owned business is where the locals dine. We enjoyed breakfast here the other day and will be stopping back here today for breakfast We had an awesome server, extremely welcoming and attentive. Showed that Southern Charm ! Our food arrived hot and fresh and full of flavor ! The Country Fried Steak with Sausage Gravy was absolutely the best ! Along with home fries and a fresh baked biscuit was fire My wife's breakfast was on the money and the bacon done as requested ... She dined here several months ago for lunch which was great she said ! The dining area was clean, tables wiped off and clean, the decor made you feel at home. Highly recommend if your in the area to stop here for breakfast and/or lunch

At the conclusion of our hiking trip centered around Vogel State Park, our eldest hiker requested Pancakes after our check out this fine Saturday morning. I found this well reviewed establishment on Friday afternoon and everyone was onboard. Parking was a bit tight so I opted for an end cap allowing adequate space. We arrived right in the sweet spot (11am on a Saturday) for seating our party of six upon arrival. Coffees ordered upon seating and our orders were taken with delivery of beverages. The waiting area began filling up within 5-10 minutes. Total bill plus tip was $78 for six meals. Portions were excellent and all the short stack pancake fans had no clue how someone could eat more than two. I enjoyed the veggie omelette with home fried potatoes and asked for hot sauce to go with my huge omelette. Everyone else cleared their plates and we departed south headed back to our community. Awesome service with filling meals. That should cover us all til the afternoon.

We are here for the weekend and wanted to try places we wouldn't be able to at home. We drove passed Foothill Grill and it looked so busy. We figured if it's busy, it must be good. Parking is a pain!!! There are several big trucks and it's a tight squeeze. Be patient, spots open up pretty quickly. Everything was delicious. Service was really good and quick. Homey atmosphere. We will probably go back tomorrow to try some more items on the menu!

This seems like the local go-to diner. It was packed when we went and every time we drove past over the weekend. Beware, the parking lot can be a disaster if they're full. The food was ok. My wife had the shrimp and grits. She loved them. I had the grilled buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken was tough and like rubber. It's got the small town diner ambiance. The service was great. You can pay with an app. The price was reasonable.

My husband's first time here and he absolutely loved it!!! He loved it so much he couldn't wait to go back for breakfast the next day!!! It's such a quaint restaurant, service is always amazing, so inviting!!! We will always come back and visit when we come to Dahlonega!!!!

We had our 12 lb bundle of puppy joy with us so to the back deck we went. I think Dakotah was the only server on the main floor, both inside and out because it took a long time. Long time for water. He was busy even though the restaurant wasn't full. Poor guy. My hubby ordered the muffaletta and wasn't impressed. He ate it though. He loved his Abita root beer. I decided to order from the side menu and I'm so happy I did. The andouille sausage was grilled and tasty. The maque choux was amazing. Think Mexican corn with a Louisiana twist. Perfection!! The loaded grits were also wonderful- chocked full of gouda, bacon, and green onions. Delicious! The gumbo was thick like a stew. The flavor was smoky and sublime. My only beef is instead of all gumbo, the cup was filled mostly with rice... topped with gumbo. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. However, due to the pace of things, the underwhelming sandwich and perception of getting shorted on the chicken and gumbo. I wouldn't hesitate to swing by and order a maque choux to go as a snack except they charge $1 for the to-go container.

Plus it provided great people watching off the square! I was sat at a clean outdoor table. There was a roof overhead with fans so it was nice and shady. Aidan promptly took my drink order & offered to answer any questions I had about the menu. Per his recommendation, I ordered the Low Country Boil. While I waited for my well-paced food, my table neighbors and I chatted. It was really lovely! Aidan presented the food and it was quite the presentation! A big bowl, bag o' Boil, a bib, extra napkins, and a wet wipe. Beautiful! The boil at first looked small but upon opening, it was generally portioned with at least 16 shrimp (that were perfectly cooked), red potatoes, & corn on the cob. I could've added dungeness crab for an additional $25. It was not hot-spicy but it was well-seasoned with Old Bay. It was delicious!!! Aiden kept my drinks filled & cold. He even offered a to-go drink. He was attentive & on point. I'd ask for him by name next time- he was a fantastic server!!! I'll bring my hubby back next time. It was a great experience and as of this writing, there have the best health score on the square.

This was about…read more10-15 minutes from campus (downtown Dahlonega) I attended a wedding of my friends Katherine and Chris at the winery - honestly I didn't taste any of the wine (yes I know, bad) but enjoyed myself. The venue is pretty spectacular with great views of the surrounding hills and valleys along with the vineyards as the hang of the side of the mountain. There were two aspects that pushed my opinion down a bit, neither are really the fault of the venue or business so I've stayed with the 5-stars. The wedding was held in an outdoor pavilion with great views, but during the first week of August quite hot. There are ceiling fans but they didn't help too much - I was sweltering in my jacket and tie by the time the ceremony ended (just be aware if you book something here during the hot season). The second, there are a lot of stairs as you are on the side of a mountain. If you have a hard time traversing a lot of stairs, there are other means of getting around so once again be aware. The main "hall" has windows with fantastic views. I thought the food was exceptional and wish I had taken more photos, but there were a lot of poor lighting (I was seated next to the dance area). My apologies for the missing check in and the lack of photos but I didn't want to be obnoxious at a wedding. Overall I love the rustic charm of this place and plan to return and more fully explore the wine offerings. I thought the service was exceptional with very accommodating staff, especially the bartenders.

We parked at the bottom of the venue and had to climb the stairs to the top. We came for the Sunday brunch buffet, which features a different theme each month and never disappoints. If brunch isn't your thing, you can enjoy a wine tasting in the tasting room located below the main dining area. If you're there for brunch, you're also allowed to go back and forth between the tasting room and dining room during your allotted table time. I definitely recommend visiting any time of year; the views alone are worth the trip!
