We were in the area and had our dog with us. I searched on Yelp for a dog friendly restaurant and Dirty Dogs Roadhpuse came up. It had a great vibe and is clearly a biker bar but everyone was very friendly and welcoming despite we clearly didn't look like we fit in there . Just flew in to Denver, we were starving and stopped here. We literally had dried food on both of our forks. That was our first clue to leave but we didn't. We ordered fried mushrooms for 12.95 and they were just basic frozen mushrooms. No flavor at all. We got burgers. Frozen pattie's from Sysco, no lettuce or tomato, just meat, cheese, and bacon. $55 for a meal that was mediocre at best. I wouldn't recommend this unless you're starving to death. read more

The negative reviews on here are comical. People this is a biker bar, what do you expect? Maybe look up a place before you go there. If you want to be pampered and told you're special I'm sure there's plenty of bars in RiNO and CC North that would love to take your money. As for this place it's simple, be respectful of the staff, as you should do anywhere you go, and you'll be well taken care of. I love this place in the summer and spring. The music, bikers, staff and owner are just fantastic. Never had any drama or issues here. Bikers of all kinds come in and as long as you're respectful everyone is gonna have a freakin blast here. The owner is a friendly guy, the staff is great here too. Yes, when they are busy it may take a second or two to get a drink, weird you'd actually have to wait. Came on a nice October Saturday night. Solid band that played mostly 70s cover but a variety of their own songs as well. We were surprised by how small The crowd was. They have a large outdoor heater for the patio. The beer was cold. The wings were tasty. The queso was ok. They were out of sweet chili wings which seemed crazy for a Saturday night that was not busy. Would definitely return for the live music and beer. read more

I've frequented this establishment over a number of decades, starting back when it was Suzi's and she actually tended bar. It's always had a biker presence. Over the years, amazing renovations have taken place and it has quadrupled in size. Management has changed a few times. I've seen it family friendly to redneck haters and everything in between. I'm of the belief that we need more awesome dive bars in our lives. I gotta admit, I've driven past Dirty Dogs a handful of times and never thought twice about it. Boy, I was wrong for thinking that! Dirty Dogs Roadhouse is a dive/biker bar/music venue in Golden. They have their regulars where the bartenders know their names (and even their drink orders). You might feel out of place at first, but once you cozy up to the bar you'll feel welcome and at home. Better yet, they boast a gigantic food menu. Two full pages of wings, burgers, sandwiches, daily specials, etc. Of course they have a full bar, and the best part; cheap drinks! $2 Coors Banquet on draft. In this economy? GIVE ME ALL OF IT. After events, I love nothing more than a cheap beer and a basket of wings. I definitely want to try their burgers next time, they all sounded great. Luckily the wings were great, too. Nice and hot, meaty and tender. Not as crispy as I normally prefer, but nothing to complain about when they were as flavorful as these. The bartender really solidified the entire experience. She was engaging with all the customers sitting at the bar and doing a million things at once. You can tell she runs the show here. I don't remember her name, but she was awesome and deserves a shout out! Weather permitting, they have a gigantic outdoor patio. I'd be curious to see what it looks like over the summer months. We arrived here on a Friday afternoon/early evening. Even though we got here before the major crowd started to roll in, our service was sporadic, at best. My mushroom hamburger was good but my husband's chicken wings were overcooked and possibly reheated from a previous order. If you don't enjoy hearing others using inappropriate language while yelling at the band, or people revving up their motorcycles...this is NOT the place for you. Great environment & great people here, very friendly customers & staff as well. Their interior is well decorated as well & totally gives off a great biker bar vibe with a whole area for you to park your bike if you drive in on one. There is also plenty of parking in the back of the building as well & there is something for everyone here! 4/5 because the service was really really slow & took us quite a while w/the line not moving at all to order our drinks. TLDR: if you came here last year, don't expect the same service. It's really disappointing now. Kind of wild how fast they fire and hire people here. 7mo ago we had never had a bad experience. We used to come in 2-3x a week and now we haven't been in weeks. The service went down hill so fast. They fired their best bartender??? The last few times we've rode in here we turn around and ride out just as fast when we see how drunk the servers are. One of the worst experiences was when we ordered one appetizer, 30 min later was nowhere to be seen on a slow week day. The bartender went and grabbed it then held it at the bar. At that point we weren't interested in eating, just watching to see what they do. The bartender held our food at the bar for about 40 minutes and when approached said she couldn't find us. I have not been here since late summer last year. I've missed this place. I stopped in today as I was on that side of town. I got to talk to Rob, the owner, for a while and our waitress, Sandra, is exceptional. I had a seared tuna and my girlfriend has a Philly cheesesteak. Both were exceptionally well prepared and tasted wonderful. I watched the cook make it so I know it was right off the grill. The beer is cold and the building is clean. I can't wait until summer when all the bands play and the bikes show up. It's my favorite biker type bar in Colorado. read more

Everything about this place was awesome, except for maybe their portion sizes and serving vessels. They would be a step above the rest if they served alcohol drinks (such as a rum and Coke) in something other than a small plastic cup, that makes you feel like you're at a frat party. Also, ease up on the "side of fries" portions and serve sandwiches and other complete meals on actual plates maybe. This would give the delicious food the presentation it deserves and would make the customers feel more welcome and appreciated. From the outside you can see a large stage lots of parking and the set up is pretty cool here. When I walked in with my husband though it got quiet and everyone in the room stared at us. We went to sit down at a booth and someone blocked us from sitting down. We walked towards the back and found a spot to sit. I wasn't quite sure if you order at the bar or wait to be served. We found a menu at another table found what we wanted to order and my husband went to the bar to order. He stood there for a few minutes and then someone took his order we paid and he came back and sat down with me to wait for our food to be made. Then a band inside started to play and they were really good. We enjoyed listening to them during our wait. And it was less awkward then the silence when we walked in. It was loud but good and what I enjoy and expect noise wise for a bar. A waitress/bar tender came over to our table about 15 minutes in and asked if we had been helped we told her we ordered at the bar and we were just waiting on our food. She was very nice but seemed like she was doing everything her self. I didn't catch her name but she had long blonde hair and seemed to be working hard. She came over 2 more times to check on us as we waited for a total of 40 minutes for a burger and fries and a order of green chili cheese fries to be made. Then at one point my husband went up again to check on things and the other waitress bar tender that had took our order said oh I didn't know where u guys were. And our order had been sitting there apparently for a very long time. I thought that was odd since we had been checked on multiple times and both people looked at us and could see us there the whole time. But I'm not one to get angry at this stuff but I do want to give an honest review of our experience. I didn't feel very welcomed or comfortable at this place. I've been to biker bars before that is not the issue here to be clear I have lots of lovely biker friends. But I don't feel I should be treated differently just because I'm not dressed in leather or a regular here. We grabbed our food and headed home which is close by. We opened up our containers and everything was cold and was not as great as I was hoping it would be. The burger had decent flavor. We ordered a double burger since we were sharing but there was only one burger patty given. The bun was kind of chewy and just kind of all tasted like you would expect if it had been sitting for a while. The fries tasted kind of stale and were hard. The green chili fries were dry and again cold because of the circumstance of waiting. I went here with an open mind and we were friendly patient and tipped and did all the things one should and didn't make a big deal about the wait -but I don't really think this is the place for me. But like I said the music was good and it's a cool place for people to show up with their bikes and nice set up for entertaining. And I'm sure the food would of tasted even better if it would of been fresh. The prices were also fair and comparable to other local bars and restaurants. read more

This is more a biker bar for sure and very proud of it. My family is not and we stood out from the usual crowd, but everyone was very nice and welcoming. Large outdoor stage for live bands, lots of outdoor seating for summer with some covered and some uncovered options, with outdoor bar as well. Inside is smaller with booth and chair table options along a side a bar. The service wasn't bad considering the crowd that had just walked in. There is some younger waitress that appeared to be enjoying gossiping with one another than getting back to tables. The more experienced staff were constantly walking around and checking in on tables. We had breakfast and the food was very good. My husband and myself had the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were some of the best I've had. My father had a breakfast burrito that was very good sized and he very much enjoyed it. I would have to agree the music they had going was too loud. We constantly were having to shout at one another at the same table and still often had trouble hearing one another. So the atmosphere wasn't for us due to the music volume, if it wasn't as loud it would have been much more enjoyable. Overall a very nice place and if you're a biker this would be the place to swing by for drinks and food for sure. read more

Even last year, when we were in the area, the music was just as loud and just as bad. This year, we had a pleasant surprise. The volume is lower, and the quality is *way* better! I don't know if they changed out the person who books bands, or something else happened, but now it's a pleasure to listen to the live music when it's on. One step in the wrong direction, however: they have a "dirty dog" hot dog, which you can have "filthy" (or something like that). That used to be a large hot dog and bun, with a huge amount of stuff on it. No way to eat it in hand, but fantastic with fork and knife. Now the same item is a fairly ordinary-size hot dog with a decent amount of toppings. Quite good, but nowhere near what it was. For sides, I recommend the tater tots. Nothing wrong with the other sides, but the tots are really good. Or get them as an appetizer. read more

Was looking for a late night bite and Dirty Dogs Roadhouse came though. It was a snowy night but that didn't stop people from visiting the place was still booming. The restaurant was full of people and there was karaoke/live music. My group and I had to wait for a table which only took a few minutes and our waitress took our orders quickly. I had the turkey melt with a side salad. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. It was however a biker bar which can be very loud and rowdy with people inside. Also there was a dog outside that was not on the leash and scared some of the guest as he barked and followed you in and out of the restaurant. The service and food was great I would visit again if I was in the area. I also image the summers would be better with more outdoor seating. read more
