I've used them many times since I moved to NYC but won't again after speaking to a man today on the phone who chose to talk over me and infuriated me. I made notes that were not responded to and the arrival times are far too late for delivery. After being patient on late arrivals being closer to midnight, I make an earlier time request once because I can't be home at 10pm, But I was denied rudely. I've used them twice and like the way they package some articles of your clothing. After the second time though, I WILL NO LONGER USE THEIR SERVICES. Why? Because I put brand new, worn once, WHITE articles of clothing in the laundry to be washed and though it is written that they use "Tide and Downy Fabric softener", they used no whitening product or bleach at all. My whites are now a DIRTY DINGY GRAY!! Hardly smelled ANY fabric softener in the clothes or the free bag the clothes were put into. They also are not well versed in fabrics to be washed because there are two items of clothing they dried on high heat and the shoulder straps are now so tight I had to give them to someone smaller. I was happy to find a laundry delivery service like this in Queens and my first experience was very pleasant. However, last night I ended up waiting until 11:00pm for them to deliver. I was fighting to keep my eyes open waiting for them. The window was from 7-10; already late in my opinion, but that was the only option available. Unreal. First my clothes get left in lobby when I asked for them to be brought up. So I excused that because prior to pandemic I did ask them to be left in lobby. Then- I go to get my clothes and they are washed, not dry cleaned even though that's the order I put in. .i call and I was blamed. I was told it was a lot of clothes to dry clean so they thought I must have "made a mistake". If that's what they really were wondering, then call. There must be a huge need for this business if customer service can't take any responsibility. Literally the guy attempted to gaslight me into assuming responsibility. They have a serious communication problem in this business. I keep receipts so if anything is damaged or shrunk - next call is better business bureau. I have been using Dirty Laundry for just under a year. Long story short service is just ok. Laundry used to come back smelling great! I could leave it in a drawer for months and it would still smell awesome. Now things come back smelling like nothing. Like they maybe used a few drops of detergent. Pick up and drop off is always late, or early so you're not getting it in the delivery window. They call hours before the window and then want to know if they can just leave it in my building lobby. No sorry, I don't want 40 lbs of clothes stolen. Not to mention they now charge to hang dry items per piece! It should be cheaper to hang dry items not more expensive since they don't need bounce or time in the dryer. To hang dry 3 items is the same price as washing 1 lb of clothes. Ridiculous! I've had items come back damaged or not at all. Handkerchiefs and socks often get lost. I had a cream color sweater come back with neon pink spots all over it. They did eventually fix it but only after yelling at ME, the customer, that I should have marked that item for dry cleaning. It didn't need to be dry cleaned, it just needed to not be washed with a neon pink sock. Also they claim they sort the laundry and they don't. White shirts get washed with dark blue denim and come back dingy. Wildly overpriced for diminishing service. I would gladly keep using them if they upped the quality of the service. On time deliveries and clothes that actually smell CLEAN. read more

This service is the overpriced and does not deliver on it what it offers. I've used them a total of 3x, each time it was delivered at least 30 mins late from what was scheduled. The second time I sent out my clothes they charged me $25, which it was never clearly stated there was a minimum. Additionally, it states that If you want your clothes hug to dry, NOT dry cleaned to put in a separate bag. I did that and they returned the item charging me for a dry clean They never include the total weight on the receipt for all I know they have been overcharging me for laundry. My most recent bill was $63. I will never use this service again and do not recommend that anyone else does either. read more

I've been using this service since March and I like it. Overall, I really have no complaints. However, there are certain things I think need to be addressed. My laundry was picked up 2 nights ago and my status is still "order picked up". If I just was having fold & dry done then it wouldn't be an issue. However, a decent amount of my items need to be hung up to dry. This causes my clothes to be dropped off damp, then they smell like mold. It's happened in the past. Also, there was a time where I asked for non-scented detergent to be used and my laundry came back smelling like strong detergent. I sent an email in to their help desk and never heard back after several attempts. Like I said, overall, it's a pretty good service but I wish that my clothes would come back dry. read more

I am never using this service again. I'd used them twice and they weren't bad. The third time ... everything went south. They dropped off my laundry nearly two hours early, when I wasn't yet home, sending me no notification, just leaving my laundry in the lobby for anyone to carry off. When I opened it, I saw that it wasn't folded like I'd requested and paid for, just shoved in the bag. I had to fold nearly everything all over again. Items were also missing. To top it all off, I was charged more than double than I'd been charged before ... for a smaller amount of laundry. I emailed their support email address, outlining my complaints and requesting that they get back to me, especially about the overcharge. I waited a week. No response. I finally phoned them this evening. The customer service agent wouldn't even let me finish a sentence. He constantly interrupted me, insulted me, was downright condescending and rude. At no point did he say, "we're sorry for the mistake / inconvenience / let's see how we can make this right, etc", you know: customer service 101. Looking at other Yelp reviews, it seems both their services and customer service have gone massively downhill from when they first started, and become hit or big miss. I'm typically not one to spend money on something I can do myself but I can spend my time relaxing over the weekend instead of having to spend a couple hours washing my clothes. The ordering process is simple and straightforward via the app or online and you get a text msg when the dirty agent is on their way for pickup and also for delivery which is a very nice touch indeed! This service is a life saver. First, they actually serve my neighborhood while other services are limited to certain parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn. The reliability is very solid. Never lost an item, drop offs and pick ups are done on time. The driver communicates with you via text or phone about specifics. The app is very convenient (except that I have to re-log in each time I use it). Quality of cleaning and pressing is very good. My clothes come out way better than when I used to pick them up at the cleaners myself and lug them home (which I can no longer do due to back problems). I find the prices reasonable, considering there is no separate delivery charge. The convenience is 100% worth it. And a shout-out to George who usually handles my drop-offs and deliveries - he's always on time. read more
