Have seen this place all over my instagram and wanted to check it out - definitely didn't disappoint! We came on a Thursday around 6:30 pm and they had plenty of seating both inside and out. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and they let us know that we could pick any seat and to order at the bar. For drinks we got the blahaj blast and the vanilla sky cocktails. The blahaj blast didn't taste reminiscent of taco bell's baja blast, but it was still delicious! We enjoyed the vanilla sky as well. For food we ordered the queso burger and the crunchwrap. As a big fan of taco bell's crunchwrap, I was super pleased with their rendition! It was a great size and filled with a lot of meat which I appreciated. Upscale cocktail bar with Taco Bell style copycat foods. Came here in a weekend night and it was busy (and got busier later in the night), but I was able to get seating. The inside is very dark, high ceilings, but had a good vibe. It's an order at the bar type of place and they'll bring your food/drinks out to you. My friend and I both ordered a fun cocktail and a crunch wrap and gordita. The drinks took a while to come out to us and weren't done properly, so I had to take them back to get fixed. They basically put an ingredient in my friends cocktail that was meant for mine. They quickly remedied the situation. Our food came out. hot and the look of Taco Bell but with a more homemade taste. I also got a potato taco (patatas bravas) and it was really disappointing because it was fries inside of a taco. Would not order that again. We ordered a second round of cocktails and decided that this place was great for cocktails bit mediocre for food. (I grabbed a slice from next door when we left.) Would come again! We came for happy hour on a Friday evening and were able to snag a table inside after another couple leaving. There were options outdoors but November jn Oregon is cold!! We mainly wanted to try their taco bell menu but it was largely sold out. I would not recommend the potato taco because it was just french fries in a tortilla. The french fries themselves were waffle and good. The tortillas were not cooked great and thus broke apart instantly. You order drinks and food at the bar, and the bartender and other servers were awesome. The food came out relatively quickly for how busy it was- it was hot and all good. We ordered a little of everything and really want to go back already; for drinks, we got the 'Green Lotus' (essentially a matcha espresso martini) one of the best drinks I've ever had, along with the 'Blahaj Blast' (margarita type) that was already premade. Also got the 'Pear Pressure' mocktail and it was different than usual- all presentations were very pretty. For food, we got the XL Gordita crunch, spicy papas, crunch wrap, queso cheese burger, crunch wrap and jalapeño popper Mac n cheese bites. We shared everything to get a taste of the menu- everything was super delicious. The queso burger was so juicy, and the poppers weren't spicy as it sounds. Though, we were too full for the crunch wrap, but took it home and enjoyed it for a late night munchie treat. What a find for someone not from PDX! While staying at the Jupiter NEXT hotel my wife and I were looking for a classier bar than the typical Burnside dives but didn't want something too expensive. Well, we hit the jackpot with the Dirty Pretty! The vibe inside was exactly what the name implied, a grungy gorgeous that was so uniquely Portland! We decided to stop here because the reviews talked about their unofficial Taco Bell menu, and everything was super on point. Taco Bell can eat their damn hearts out, there's no comparison here! The Crunchwrap was a little pricey, but almost double the size of the Taco Bell version and the ingredients were so good that it was more than worth the $15! My wife had a massive bowl of Carnitas nachos as well, so much that there was no way she was able to eat all of it. To top it off, they have these alcoholic "Baja Blast" inspired cocktails that are super tasty, and almost a little dangerous without easy they are to drink! You order at the bar, but your food's delivered to your seat. The staff is super friendly, even when they were slammed they made sure to take a moment to talk to me as soon as I walked up to the bar. Some of the best service I've had in a super busy bar in a long time. The food was so good that my wife and I just had to go back! The second time around we got that awesome drink again, but this time we both tried the XL gordita taco. It's essentially a double-decker taco, with a very crunchy shell wrapped inside of a flower tortilla with some cheese in between. Again, this was a wonderful taco and was quite large. It was well worth the $6.50. Most importantly for me, all of these dishes can be made vegan. They use Beyond Meat for their taco mix and it's quite good, and I'm not sure what exactly they put between the two tortillas for the taco when I asked for it vegan but it was super tasty. This made a great date spot that will be remembered for a long time. I'm already dreaming of that Crunchwrap and will definitely stop back in there again next time we're in Portland! read more

It's a pretty neat little bar that offers a good selection of tequila and Mezcal spirits. They also have other spirits to choose from. The place has a nice chill and relaxing atmosphere to it. We ordered a couple of drinks - Green Lotus and Burnside Bully. Both of the drinks were excellent. I did really enjoy the Green Lotus - vodka, coconut, pandan, coffee, sesame, and matcha. We also did the spoon the wheel for a random $7 shot. We landed on the mystery tequila and Baja blast shots. The Baja blast did remind me of the drink. Came here to get cocktails at this classy yet casual bar in Burnside. Dirty Pretty is a good description of it. It has a pretty casual feel, but fun though. Has some pretty fucking strong cocktails. The food menu is pretty limited for vegans, with things like fish tacos, and nachos with cheeses and meats. Best things here are the cocktails. It's about $12 for the cheapest, but they have a happy hour. The best one of these we got was the Jungle Juice. Packs a punch, and some kicks to the ass. This is made with cacao, Jamaican rum, orange, pinot noir, and stone pine fruit. Could have gotten food too if it wasn't such slim pickings for anything plant based. The sweet potato fries are about the only okay option, but these come with a whole bunch of dips like cheeses and ranch sauces. For sure it has a cool atmosphere. It's not as crazy as many of the other bars around here. The cocktails are the main thing, and they have ahi and pork belly tacos, but there's pretty much nothing for vegans. read more

If there is one thing that draws crowds in Portland -it has to be an open patio on summer evenings and Dirty pretty has that plus some good drinks and an even better service. when we arrived on Friday evening we were seated indoors because there wasn't any place outside but eventually after two rounds of drinks we were able to move outside and enjoy the beautiful evening breeze. The inside seating even though ample seems a little cramped and tables are on the smaller side making it hard to comfortably accommodate multiple things . Outside is bigger and the seating more comfortable .In addition there is also bar seating . The cocktails we tried were all pretty good - Spirited Away, Demeter ,Mezcal old fashioned and Burnside Bully .Cant go wrong with either of these . The food menu felt limited but it's good enough to go with drinks. We got the Hush Mollys , Fries and the Tacos and I felt everything was OK(ish) .Food isn't there strong point for sure. Service was good albeit they did overcharge us and there were multiple transactions on our card but calling them resolved it easily. Pricing seemed reasonable. read more

Went to check this place out with a friend on a Sunday night, had heard about their Taco Bell inspired menu and wanted to try it. Upon arriving, all the inside tables were full, no biggie, we went to sit on the patio. There were multiple patio heaters, but none of them were turned on despite people sitting out there... It's 50 degrees out, please turn the heaters on? There were staff coming and going, so it isn't like they didn't know they were off. We scanned the QR code at our table and it had a totally different (limited and expensive) menu than what we saw online... went to order at the bar and multiple things from the regular taco menu were blacked out as well, so we didn't get food. They were supposed to be open until 11, but did last call at 7:30 pm??? Went home and looked into it on their social media and apparently the limited menu was some sort of fundraiser for a staff member's wife having a health issue. Umm, if anybody had bothered explaining that at all, or if it was stated on the special menu they had linked to the QR code, we probably would have actually bought food instead of being irritated that the menu was completely different. Why weren't there any signs or anything letting us know?? None of the staff that we interacted with said anything about it, nor did they explain that that's why they were closing three hours early. IMO, closing 3 hrs before normal closing time doesn't really make sense for a fundraiser, especially if you don't explain it and it just seems like you're closing for no real reason. Also, it's a small place and wasn't packed to the gills, but it was taking like 30+ min for previous parties' drinks to be bussed from tables taken by new patrons. Also, they add a 4% fee to all orders "due to unprecedented operating costs" and to "keep their price points accessible"... You're literally raising the prices and hoping people don't read the fine print. An automatic gratuity is one thing, but adding hidden fees to a bar menu so you can SEEM cheaper is insane. I'll just go to actual Taco Bell next time, lol read more

Walked in and said Hi to the bartender and was completely ignored while he kept polishing glasses and talking to his coworker at the end of the bar that looked like he was doing bar prep. Stood there and waited (mind you no a single customer was inside) for about 2 minutes while they just kept carry on with our conversation without paying me zero mind that even saying hello back to me. At this point I got irritated for being completely ignored and went out to the patio to meet my friends. They finished their drinks and we left . While leaving the guy that ignored me gave us a princess pageant wave goodbye. Non of us will be returning again.
