Vehicle maintenance is normally my husbands job, I take care of the house, he takes care of the vehicles & everything else. Unfortunately I needed 2 tires replaced at an inconvenient time for him to get it done. So I hopped on Yelp & Google to check out some reviews for tire places in my area. This location had a lot of good reviews & great prices for tires. I felt confident taking care of this on my own. I setup an appointment on their website for the next morning & ordered 2 tires. I had a slow leak in my front & back drivers side tires & the thread was a bit worn compared to my other 2 tires. This had been going on for a few weeks & I had been filling my tires regularly for about 2 weeks until we could get into a shop to have them replaced. My appointment was for 11:30 on a Saturday morning. One of the service employees was outside when I pulled up & he greeted me, took my keys & got my odometer reading, then had me follow him inside to take care of paperwork. I explained the situation to him & told him I wanted my front passenger tire moved to the back & the 2 new tires put on front. He told me it would be approximately 45 minutes. My car was ready in the specified time & they polished all 4 of my tires to make them look clean & pretty! I was impressed & happy with the job & went straight home from their shop. Later that day I had to run an errand & when I went out to my car my tire on the back passenger side was flat. I immediately called the shop & spoke with Rick. I explained what was going on & asked if they possibly put the wrong tires back on the car. I told him I knew my 2 original tires had no issues when I brought my car in because I have been checking my air on all my tires for a couple of weeks now & had just filled & checked them before I came to their shop that morning. He pulled my paperwork to check what was written on the service ticket. He told me they changed my tires as I directed & didn't touch that tire at all. He asked that I bring it back in so they could check for a possible nail in the tire. I wasn't able to do that because I had a flat, no way to get there & they were getting ready to close. And there was no way I was able to get my spare on my big truck. I told him I would have my husband give him a call on Monday since they are closed Sunday. Over the weekend my husband put my spare on & took the flat tire to be replaced at another tire place. He also checked my other back tire which now had a slow leak too. This only solidified to me that they possibly made a mistake when they changed my tires. Early Monday morning I saw that I had an email for a survey to rate my service. Well I was pretty upset because of everything that occurred & completed their survey giving them pretty much zeros on everything except the time I had to wait while they changed my tires. They open at 8:00 & I received a phone call from Rick immediately at that time. He had received my survey & wanted to discuss it. So you might be wondering, if I went through all this trouble why am I rating them with 4 stars? The reason is Rick went out of his way to make this up to me whether it was their fault or not. He refunded me for the 2 tires I purchased & put 2 matching brand new tires on my car at no additional charge. He wanted us to be happy & be return customers. So we took my car back & he put the tires on plus put the other new tire we purchased (from their competitors right across the street) on my spare rim. Honestly businesses just don't do that in this day & age. My husband & I were really impressed by that gesture. And they will definitely see us as repeat customers. read more

I'm not sure how to write this but wanted to share. I stopped at Discount Tire this past Tuesday to set an appointment for tire rotation and balance. The sales rep walked out to my car to get the size, why that's important for what I stopped for I don't know. While there, he called a co-worker to show him something on my right rear tire. I then walked out to see what they were discussing. He asked if I had felt a vibration on the rear tires. I did not or ever feel anything unusual. He ran a small handheld devise the size of an iPhone across the tread. He then told me that the tire tread was separating asked me to run my hand across it. I didn't feel anything unusual. We then walked back into the store where he offered me a wider tire than what my car manufactured suggested, took $100.00 off the purchase price and told me the offer was good for that day only. I told him I had cold groceries in my car that I had to take home. He offered the store fridge if I needed. Not sensing or seeing an issue on this tire, telling me the $100.00 off deal goes out the window and the offer to put my cold things in the store fridge indicated they were trying to make a sale and not on my behalf. From there I went to another tire franchise store where their rep looked at the same tire, did not mention a problem and told my I have another six to eight months of use out of my set of tires. read more

Mike Fox (one of the managers) is a great guy! He treated me like a human and didn't try to scam me like Firestone did! I just bought 4 new tires from Firestone back in May and had less than 6,000 miles on the tires. I had a flat tire. I took it to Firestone and the guy just looked at the tire and never even touched it. He said aww you need a new tire($238). I said are you at least going to get a pair of pliers and see if it's cut. He said we don't do that. I'm like so are you going to pro-rate the tire and he said we don't do that either. I said Discount does. He said you could take it to a mom & pop store and maybe they'll fix it. I said no thanks to his buying a new tire and went straight to Discount Tire. As I said Mike took a look at it and he said I'm not sure if I can fix it but let me give it to my tech and he'll see if he can patch it. Next thing you know 20 minutes later my truck is ready to go and they fixed it no charge! I'd been a loyal customer for 25 years but moved to Tampa a few years ago and unfortunately they don't have stores there. That is why I went to Firestone. Never again! They truly suck! I will be buying all my tires here from now on. As soon as I walked up I was greeted with a smile and taken care of. I needed a tire because I got a bad flat with a giant gash in it. He showed me all the options and made recommendations according to my needs and budget. No pushy salesmen trying to sell me 4 tires when I only needed one and no condensending mechanics trying to get one over on me because im a girl. My car was ready in 45 minutes and they did a great job. Professional and great customer service. Also I spend half as much as what other places quotted me. They had several options to choose from ranging from generic to high end performance tires. I purchased tires here 6 months ago went 15,000 miles on the tires. They are supposed to have a "lifetime" of 40,00 miles. I purchased the replacement warranty just incase I run into any issues with my new tires. I ended up having a bubble in one of my new tires and wanted to replace it with the warranty. I was told I am not able to replace the tire and I have to buy 2 new tires even though the mileage I went was under the lifetime mileage and I had a road hazard in the tire. My family and I have bought at least 10 sets of tires for our cars here and unfortunately we won't be going back. read more

I can't stress how friendly each Discount Tire Location I have used. Today went by due to a sensor on tire showing low pressure. I found out a oil change store (different chain) didn't update tire location with tire rotation. Not only did Discount tire correct this but found a screw In another tire. They fixed this as well. If I could give this location less than one star, I would. This is the second time I have had a problem getting the service that I need without someone trying to upsell me what I didn't need. I have been using Discount Tire since we moved here in the late 90's. I have had a number of tires plugged and/or patched here when necessary. I made an appointment to have my tire inspected since my warning system alerted me to the low tire pressure in the tire. Since it was so sudden, I knew there must be a leak. I arrived a little early so I could check in. Sean at the desk went out to look at the tire. It did have a screw in the tread which needed to be removed and patched. Upon his return inside, he asked if I was okay with a replacement tire if this one could not be patched. I told him yes. He then told me he did not have a Michelin in stock which is all I use on this Cadillac, but had another brand. Even I am smart enough to know that you don't mix tires, so the object was to have me set up to purchase a new set of tires if I took their word that the tire could not be patched. He then asked if I had a spare donut. I told him yes and that if the tire could not be patched he could put the spare on until either he could get the replacement tire or I could find one elsewhere. He stated that he could not do that because my spare was over 10 years old. I have checked with the dealer and with my owners manual, and neither of them indicate that my spare must be replaced if it is over 10 years old. Since it is solid rubber, unless the outside is wearing off, it is perfectly safe to use short term per both places. At that point I left and my car is going to the Dealer for the repair even though I will have to pay the cost. This high pressure method is a well rehearsed script with this location especially, since the first time I took my Cadillac in with a tire problem, the same thing was done. I may be older, but I am smart enough to spot a high pressure scam when I see one read more

If you want to get there with a perfectly functioning battery and leave with it dead thanks to them leaving it on, then definitely come here. They'll drain your battery then leave you to deal with it afterwards :) battery is good for 3-4 years, have had it for 2 years without any issues whatsoever until going here to get my tires balanced. Got back to a check engine light on (just got it checked yesterday/oil change) and they seemed clueless and left me to deal with it. Tried telling me it's an issue with my battery but went across the street to Action Gator Tire where the "issue" was diagnosed, there was nothing wrong with it like Discount Tire kept claiming. read more

Just got a new set of tires for my car at this location. My husband and I have been here multiple times over the last 10 years with our 3 cars. We have always received excellent, friendly, and courteous service. I've observed them fixing a flat tire for a woman that limped her car into their parking lot, for free, and they did it with a smile (she was shocked that they would do that for her as she wasn't a customer of theirs). They have always performed their work quickly and flawlessly, and I have never waited in their showroom for more than 20-30 minutes while having my tires changed. On an extremely busy Sat., Mike Fox showed exceptional customer service and made me feel important and not just another number. Didn't have the tire in stock but went out of his busy way to order two new tires and upsold me to better longer lasting tires. They will be available in my home town Jacksonville when we get home. Just purchased a Mini Cooper and took it to Orlando Mini to repair a nail in my tire....big mistake! Orlando Mini said it could not be repaired and offered me a new tire for 200.00. Well....I drove directly to Discount Tire (mainly because the gal I purchased the car from did the research and found the best priced tires in town and then acquired her new high dollar Michelin ride flats here) ....... ........and they repaired it for FREE!!! First of all let me say Ive never had a issue at any discount tire including one in WA and several in FL however this one takes the cake. Absolute incompetency working at this location. I've been having issues with Method NV wheels I bought from them a few days shy of a year ago. After 5 months I started getting rust spots on two of the wheels on the lip. I made them aware and they replaced two of them no problem as they have a 2 year finish warranty. Well recently I've had another wheel start to rust (manufacture in CA was made aware of the problems). The third wheel came in a month ago and apparently it was put in the back and forgot about. I called and was told it came in and sorry nobody contacted me. I come in today for my 12pm appointment and I asked them ( as I always have since owning the truck) to raise the whole truck up on the lift and not jack it up by the suspension or rear differential as it's a f-150 Raptor and I didn't want to risk damage. They said ok no problem. Then the guy I've been speaking with tries to charge me $25 to swap the tire/rim disposal. I've never been charged for replacing the other two defective wheels and third defective wheel is still under warranty for another year. I didn't ask to swap a tire just because. Eventually he agreed they wouldn't charge me. As I'm waiting "store manager" mike says they are pulling truck into bay soon. I look outside and technician has jacked the truck up by the rear suspension. I asked tech to lower it as I specifically asked to have the whole truck raised up to avoid potential damage. I explained this to "store manager" mike who then got all frustrated as he tried explaining "it would only take a few minutes" and "this is the way they do this truck". I told him no I did not want it jacked up on the suspension and other worker I was speaking to agreed it was fine. I told him this has never been a problem before and that I did not mind waiting if I had to I was just concerned as it's a $50k truck. Finally mike said with an attitude "do you want us to Replace the wheel or not?" I said no it's fine I'll take the truck somewhere else. Five minutes later they raise the whole truck up on the lift and replace the wheel. It is 1:20pm and I just left. Never again will I go back to discount tire at this location. I'll drive further if I have to. Sanford, Altamonte or even Orlando before I go back here. One star for finally deciding not to charge me to swap a defective product and for eventually raising the whole truck up as I asked. read more

Been using DT for 20 years, sometimes Clermont sometimes Apopka. Both are the best, always total professionals who want my business, the way a business should be. Today Mr. Raymond helped me with a pair of front tires. I had Falkens on my car and one of them got a bulge in it. They got me out the door with two new Arizonian tires for a little over $100. Could not have expected better service or better price. Not waiting, well at least not more than 10 minutes. I always come to DT because they only sell tires and aren't trying to upgrade you into new brakes, new ball joints, new battery etc etc, like the other full service tire stores do. Come here because they have great quality tires, professional workers in clean attire, and you will never ever be taken advantage of. I took my tire that had a nail in it to a Firestone Complete Auto Care yesterday and was told it was damaged beyond repair and my only option was to purchase a new tire. I wanted a second opinion so I came to Discount Tire. I was immediately greeted upon arriving. Jose H was extremely kind, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. He explained everything crystal clear. Approximately 1 hour later my vehicle was completed. Here's the best part.. The certified tech told me it was a baby nail, less than a quarter of an inch and that it caused no damage at all. No repair was needed and I was on my way home. This service was absolutely free even if a repair was needed! My tech was super cool as well! Very personable! This company is phenomenal, with outstanding employees! I called ahead and gave them the exact specs for my tires and wheels. They quoted me $21/tire to mount and balance. These tires are 35x12.5r20 but they aren't stretched on the wheels or anything so this is a very reasonable price. Then I get here and they tell me no, sorry it'll be $35/tire. I explain that I was already quoted $21/tire and that's why I drove all the way here. They wouldn't even work with me and do it for $30/tire or anything. The guy up front was very rude and just blew me off. I took it up the street to tire super center and they did a great job for $25/tire out the door. read more

This place is just plain corrupt! They advertise free flat repair, but when you go in they will try to sell you on everything but the front door and tell your car is going to fall apart if you don't do it. When I adamantly declined any upsells, the cashier Ben immediately got a shitty attitude. I watched him as he walked around the store whispering to all his clerks about what was going on. I ended up having to wait an hour only to find out that they couldn't fix my tire. How did I find out? No notification, they just parked my car back in the parking lot with the donut still on it. When I ran out to ask the tech what happened, he said they didn't tell you we couldn't fix it? At this point, I went in and spoke to another tech Ryan inquiring as to what happened. His immediate response was we couldn't fix it because you drove on it flat with an incredibly rude attitude. Not only was this completely unprofessional, but a completely false assumption as I wasn't even the one driving when the flat happened. And why is it that I had to go back in there to find out some thing that every other tech in the store had already known? I literally sat in the lobby the entire time they were "fixing my car". I certainly will never go back to that place again. I know mechanics are known for trying to get you to fix some thing that's not broken, but this place just takes the cake for terrible service and crooked salesmen. read more

The technicians are incredibly efficient and take more care than any other shop I have ever seen. The store is always immaculate (especially the bathrooms)!!! Plus they have been Voted Best Tire Retailer in Apopka 3 years running!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!!! Rodney at discount tire, My free tire patch just cost me $50!! 10 to dismount, $10 to remount, $20 in balancing, and tpms rebuild kit (it was perfect, no need to remove)? I have worked at a custom wheel and tire shop (Ultimate Auto) for 12 years. I only paid the bill because the wheel and tire was already down there. (Called three other discount tires and each said they would patch at no charge, company policy). They didn't even clean the old tape wheel weight tape from the wheel. I hope the $50 was worth the letter I am about to write and the bad publicity. I sent my employee down with $20 to tip the installer...i would have gladly paid $20, or $25 for my free tire patch. This is a one piece wheel, nothing weird about it. Please be careful. read more
