Owen was the associate helping me and even though there were some issues with the computer and locating my previous purchase, he was able to provide excellent service regardless. The location is going through a renovation so the temporary place is small, cramped, and honestly got pretty crowded but Owen handled everything like a pro. Elliott was the gentleman who actually worked on my car and even though we only spoke briefly, he also had a great attitude and great customer service. I recently discovered a nail in my tire. I drove here straight after work. They ordered my tire and called me when it came in the next morning. They made an appointment for me and when I arrived a little early they immediately took my car back and went to work. I like how they send you a text that gives you an update about your car and an estimated time they will finish. The total for a tire and labor was $250. They do offer an insurance where you'd never pay for a tire again but I didn't opt in for that. read more

I can't say enough good things about Discount Tire on 436 in Apopka! I chose to use their online system to select and pay for a set of new tires, as well as set up an appt time for installation. Through that system I was able to inform them when I was on my way and the moment I arrived. They were there to greet me and confirm what I was there for. I've had great experiences at discount tire but this was an extremely disappointing one. I originally came in for an alignment that wasn't actually done correctly on my Tesla model 3. Then the following week my tire started leaking air so I call and try to get an estimate for all new tires and get told something is wrong with their system so I would have to come in for them to take a look at what tires would fit my vehicle (I have an account with them and they know my vehicle)... I then asked if they were busy and Caleb said they could get it all taken care of in 45 mins. (All new tires and alignment) But when I get there 20 mins later, I talk to the same sales associate Caleb and he makes it seem like all these people just showed up and the wait time is probably doubled and the system is now working all of a sudden. Then tells me the most common tire people get for my car is not available and he would have to order them. Which is fine, but all of this could've been done OVER THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED, not to mention interrupting the should be quick purchase process twice to answer the phone. Then I ask if they could just fix my tire and do the alignment until my next appointment for the tires and the wait time gets doubled to 1hr 30. I can tell when businesses genuinely get busy and stuff happens but I also can tell when someone is lazy or lying. I've been going to discount tire for 5 years so I know what to expect when it comes to customer service. This was not it. Giant waste of time. I have been going there (Apopka Semoran Blvd) for 20 plus years and always get the best service and great prices! Any time I go there, any employee I have dealt with from tire sales to install to putting air in my tires has been nothing but kind and professional. There has never been an issue with my car or tires after I left. They are never too pushy for up sales, just explaining the different levels of tires, with the warranties and benefits, as well as the tire insurance. I paid the little extra for the insurance and one time ended up with a nail in the side of my tire, and was told, although I already knew, that it is not a spot that can be plugged. They checked to see if I had the insurance, I did and with no argument told me the tire was covered! Easy. I've been a fan of Discount Tire for over a decade. Sure, they have very competitive all-inclusive prices, but that's not even the main reason. I just like their - for want of a better term - corporate culture. Rightly or wrongly, I believe they are a believer in the do-right-by-the-customer-and-they'll-do-right-by-you motto. Beyond expertise in their domain, I sense integrity, and a sort of genuine CARE about the customer, to the extent that one could possibly expect in what's basically a business transaction. This latest visit did not put that in question much, in spite of a minor hiccup. I used to use the one in Sanford, but since I often go the Altamonte Costco and Apopka Sam's Club these days, I thought that this would be a closer location for all intents and purposes. I'd bought my tires online to maximize my BOA cash-back (5.25% ain't nothing to scoff at, y'all!) I was a little late for my appointment, but Jeff didn't give me a hard time. He said he'll put his best guy on the job, and that it'd be about 90 minutes. Now, is an hour and a half reasonable for putting on a set of 4, with an appointment? I don't know: what I do know is that I was about 20 minutes late, and that it's certainly 'close enough'. And they were busy too, on a Friday morning. Sure enough, right on the dot at 90 minutes, I got a text saying my car's ready. By this time almost the entire waiting room had cleared, which was pretty effective efficiency and speed. I went to this location as I had a tire that kept losing air. Although the place was very busy, I was greeted right away and a service person was sent to look at my car. He quickly discovered a nail and explained that depending on the angle at which the nail penetrated the tire, it may require a patch or a new tire. Of course, in my head, I am immediately thinking I am going to end up buying a new tire on a car that has 11,000 miles. I was given an estimated wait time of 1 hour which was reasonable given how busy they were. It seem like less than half an hour later the tech came out with my car and told me they were able to fix with a patch and handed me my keys. I asked what the charge was and was told none. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I have definitely recommended this location to my friends and they will be the first place I go when I do need new tires. Even though they are called discount tire, but the tires are not than value price, I bought my tires from this place for a couple of my vehicles and had their road hazard warranty. When I took it there for repair on a screw in my tire, they told me it will be three hours before they can even look at it, so why do you guys charge extra for road hazard where you cannot service it within reasonable time read more

We bought 4 new tires with 40,000 mile guarantee and we were duped into having to replace the back tires at 15,000 miles and now they want us to replace the front tires at 21,000 miles. They said it is because of a problem with our vehicle, when we just had it checked out by our mechanic before we made a long drive last month. Incredible!! I would not touch this shop with a ten foot pole. I recently had to buy a tire here as they were the only shop in the area who stocked the tire I needed. I made the mistake of letting them "install" the tire. All I can say is - wow. They literally did everything wrong. I had to take the truck to another shop and pay them to fix it. Their service dept is very amateur hour. If you want a job done professionally, I suggest you steer well clear of this shop. As others have mentioned, they will aggressively try to upsell you on things you don't need and then get very "put off" if you don't capitulate. Also, they straight-up lie about the appointment time frame. They said it would only take 1 hour and it actually took 3 hours. On top of all that, the assistant manager named Ryan was a real jerk. You crank the car and your tire pressure light is on. You feel guilty because you just called your tire a baby back b***h unnecessarily. Luckily you're across the street from a tire place that shall remain nameless. You beebop on over only for the guy behind the counter to tell you that you can leave your car until tomorrow, otherwise he can't help you. His demeanor was less than desirable. Anyway, now you're in a panic. Air is hissing out of your poor tire because some schmuck (probably) on I-4 couldn't be bothered to pick up his bolts and now you're suffering the consequences. That's when you call Discount Tire. Mike tells you that they're busy, but if you come in ASAP, they'll work you in. Y'all. I was in and out in 40 minutes, they patched the hole, and they didn't charge me a penny. Now, I previously bought 4 tires at Discount (different location), but over the summer I was in a different state and needed a new tire, and as luck would have it, the injured fella was the outlier, so I had no certificate. They repaired a tire I didn't even get from them for free. I have no idea if that's their normal policy or if they knew it was my birthday or what inspired the kindness and generosity, but I got in my car stunned and cried as I left the parking lot (couldn't do it in the lobby and risk looking like a baby back b***h myself). I made an online appointment for a flat repair two days ago and went in this morning. They were friendly from the get-go at check-in! They let me know there was a bit of a wait, so they'd keep me in line and let me go grab some food/shop nearby and what time to return (about a half hour later). I loved that they let me take my car during this time so I wasn't stuck sitting around. I came back and they were ready for me, letting me know that they would see if they could fix the tire or if I'd need to replace it (I had a nail in the tire pretty close to the edge of the tire). They were able to fix the tire in the end, saving me tons of money. They were incredibly fast in the process, predicting that I would be done by 11:45 (30 minutes) and even finishing a couple minutes before that. I would 10/10 use this company, specifically this location, again. Their waiting area was complete with seating (with outlets so I could hop on my laptop and do homework!) where I could watch as they fixed my car and I could see they took the utmost care in their work. read more

First walking in, I was greeted by Rick (store manager) right away with a very positive attitude. I let him know that I needed a set of 4 tires for my car (set of Ohtsu tires/made from Falken). There was no pressure for an upsale and he mentioned to me that they were good tires for that price point and there's currently an $25 rebate going on for that set of tires....sweet!
