Vandergriff Hyundai "fixed" a tire that took 49 hours, $34.29, and lasted 30 mins before it was flat again. Oh and they just put air in tire even though I told them it would not hold it. $34?? For air? You have been POS's every time I've been there but it was the only place roadside would tow to. I bought Fix-A-Flat for $7.68 and it's still holding after 3 hours. Because of the H*LL Vandergriff in Arlington, TX put me through; Nick at DISCOUNT TIRE on Collins in Arlington, TX gave me a special, special deal to replace all of my 27,000 mile factory tires with tires that will last a lot longer!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Nick! As for Vandergriff Hyundai, they can kiss my butt! Not that you will ever see it again! So I hope you both reap what you sow. Now I will pray for everyone that has real problems. Great customer service I arrived 30 minutes before they opened and planned to drop off my car for 4 new tires and just uber to work. Other people arrived and waited at the door (it was warmer in my car) but they still took care of me first ;). After inspecting all of my tires they told me I only needed 2 tires as the back 2 had been replaced for various nails/screws. They got my car started in and out in 20 minutes. And they rotated the other 2 as well. They are very friendly, at 8am on Monday! read more

I use this place exclusively for my tires. I bought 4 new ones for my car, everything is fantastic. I also took a new (used) vehicle in to get tires rotated and balanced. They took one look at the tires and told me that they were Discount Tire tires and that they would honor full road hazard on them and lifetime balance and rotation. I just left this store. Carlos sold me two high dollar tires for CLS63 AMG . When they finished installing the front tires they pulled the vehicle out of the bay to deliver it to me curbside with one flat tire. The tech pulled it back in put air in tire. Once i inspected the tires I discovered they put on gray plastic valve caps (not the chrome ones i came in with) and the wheels were scratched and dirty The tech wiped them down but had nothing to say about the scratches, No general manager on duty and the shop manger just shrugged his shoulders. read more

Worst experience in quite a while. I told them the lug nuts were stripped. They told me it was a normal thing. When the mechanic, I mean Tire changer, came to tell me about my vehicle. He told me the lug nuts were stripped and he would have to hammer the wrench on. Potentially ruining the nut. I told him it was 20mm. He told me it is a standard 19mm. He didn't have 20mm in the entire place. So when he started hammering. I told him to stop. Put the spare back on and I will do it myself. I paid $80 for one tire. Here's an idea, hire someone to answer the phones!! I counted TEN people in line in the store to be helped and the counter help had to stop and answer the phone. Unfair to the customers standing in line. It's this way with all of the Discount Tires. Seems like a procedural change that would make the process faster. read more

I can not say enough positive things about this location. I brought my vehicle in with a flat tire. The tire was inspected promptly and I was advised of the tread depth of my other tires. After learning the damaged tire could not be repaired, technicians completed a four tire replacement in under fifteen minutes. Store Manager Jimmy assisted in expediting my service. All store employees were prompt, polite and clearly dedicated to the success of the location. read more

SO I had another flat tire. Third in the past two weeks if you're keeping track at home. I go in Monday morning, of course it's super busy but I wait dutifully, enjoy some free water (which they offer), and chill. Well, an hour or so passes (which I understand, I feel like if they want to put the thing they have to do for free at the bottom of their priority list, that would be a logical business practice) and I am informed that the tire is too damaged to fix. I'd be a little afraid that they were trying to screw me but they've fixed two other tires with no problems recently so I figured they were telling the truth. Then he said he'd see if there was "an old tire in the back" that they could put on. I assumed that a used tire would still cost something but that it was much cheaper than buying a brand new tire. But then they put on this old tire, hand me my $0 receipt for tire repair, and send me on my way. With a whole new (to me) tire. Is this the policy? Was I just super lucky? I don't know but it was awesome. ALSO, I think they have a bathroom, it's just outside of the waiting room. I heard a guy ask something (but not exactly what) and he was directed to the second door on the left once you step out into the garage. So there! I suffered for no reason! Or it was only a water fountain, I didn't investigate for myself. read more

I had a tire that needed needed plugged and the 3 employees I spoke with there were outstanding at customer service. I dropped my tire off for repair and when I returned they had it ready and although they were very busy they had my tire installed and I was ready to go in under 15 minutes. The best part was there was no charge for it! I now intend to use them in the future based on my experience from this first visit. I highly recommend them! read more

I cannot say enough great things about this location. Not only is it a mile away from my home, but they happily take care of free flat repairs quickly and with a smile. They will point out if you're getting low on tire tread, but not pushy about selling new tires. They carry several brands and grades to meet your exact needs. Excellent warranty options too. I've been a pleased customer for over 10 years at this location and Cody Ayres the Store Manager has been there for at least the past 3 to 4 years. Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and always busy helping people (he doesn't hide in his office like most managers these days). I can see why his guys respect him. Where to start... Installer could not remove a lug, so he continued to spin it with a impact while pulling on the wheel, and prying with bars. For over 30 minutes. In the end they sent me to a shop to have the lug removed, and replaced. The shop removed it, after 2 hours of trying, and showed me that the hole was wallowed out from the spinning that the guy had done. They told me to come back another day, as they would be closing soon. They said they would recommend replacement of the axle. I called discount tire, explained that my rim, and axle were messed up, and that the shop would fix it, and asked nicely for some refund for the time I would be spending to deal with the repairs. They refunded me 60 dollars (out of 600), and said they will not be covering the repairs... Email me, I will find you a better deal, and quality service... I don't want anyone to have to deal with the nightmare I am having with them. read more

We have been Discount Tire customers for 10 years. Our experience was good in the past, but not this time. When I arrived at Discount Tire, no warning lights were illuminated on the dash panel. Although I had no problem with the price or time it took to change the tires, the tire pressure warning light was on when I went to leave Discount Tire. I immediately backed up and went inside and they checked all the tire pressures and the spare and the light still remained on. They told me it would reset, it just took time. I left for a trip to Colorado for a month and the light was on the entire time! When I returned home, I called Discount Tire and asked them to fix it and they told me that the pressure sensor must be damaged. I explained if it was damaged, it was damaged by their technician. They denied any responsibility. After a lengthy internet search, I found that the tire pressure reset button must be set after changing tires. I feel that Discount Tire should know how to push a reset button. Very disappointed in their lack of knowledge on what is now a required feature for new automobiles and their unwillingness to deal with a problem they caused. I do not have an exotic car, it is a 2012 Toyota Highlander. To sum it up, they failed to press a reset button and then forced me to remedy the problem. My car was due for it's state inspection and would not pass until this light was extinguished. read more

There are no words for the team at this location. I am in a city not my owe attending classes at UTA and due to all the construction in the area I got a nail in my tire. To make matters worse I was missing my final to get the tire fixed. My tire was fixed and I was back on the road in about an hour. I still made it back in time to complete my final. A year ago I purchased a full set of brand new tires here which I got talked up into for their 65000 mile warranty. Well I might a well have bout heap tires from the Mexicans down the street because after 20000 miles when they were balding, they refuse to cover them due to lack of rotations. I admit that as a car driver I should have rotated them 3 times by now and have only done so once, but I am good with math and that still doesn't add up to 65000 miles. They wouldn't rotate them for me, which is what I went in for in the first place so I could have my good tires on the front. Never buying tires from them again. Not with the cost. read more

Do not go here if you care about your car!! I had to bring my car in for one flat tire, and they replaced it and rotated my other tires. But when I went to leave, ANOTHER one of my tires was already flat! It had absolutely gotten damaged THERE at the discount tire--it was damaged before I had even started driving out of the parking lot! I didn't have time to stay there for hours longer, and I didn't want to risk any MORE damage to my tires, so I left and took it to a different place entirely to get the other tire replaced a few days later. But when I told them what happened, they refused to admit that it happened while they had my car under their care. They didn't even care that they had damaged a tire--AT A PLACE THAT FIXES TIRES. I had to pay for a whole new tire AGAIN because of them! So horrible, I won't ever trust this place again. read more
