I went to discount tire in past and they fixed my flat for free! So, I went back to them with flat tire this time, but completely different experience. I was told I had a staple in the tire, and need a replacement, but tire is not in stock, so I should come back later in the afternoon. Then, another person outside gives me the keys saying my car is fixed and I am good to go. Not sure whom to believe, as I already paid for new tire. So, I asked him to keep the keys, which he reluctantly did. Then I called in afternoon to check if my car is ready, and they can't find my car - probably already checked me out? After putting me on hold for sometime, they told me my car is ready and I can pick it up. I take an hour off from work to pick my car. Person at counter tells me my car is ready and there is "no charge". I explained to him that I already paid for new tire, he talks to another guys and says there was some mistake, and he'll change my tire "quickly". My car then went into "waiting" and after 70 minutes later, and wasting extra one hour of my work, I got my car - no apologies for the goof up. Now I am thinking - was there really non fixable issue with the tire, or I just got ripped off? Because 2 of their guys said my car was ready and there was no charge. Not to mention wasting extra hour from work. So, be careful when they fix your flat for free for first time, there is a surprise waiting for you next time! read more

The day before we needed the wifes suv to cart around relatives in for the weekend we found one back tire flat. Tire was purchased at DT, had 25k miles on it but was in great shape with plenty of tread, oh except this huge bolt/ lag screw in the tread. Probably the last time I'll go to this location. Life long discount tire customer, well 22 years running. Last I took my GFs car to get her tires replaced, they put it under the wrong vehicle. Now I come with issues on my car and it's a problem, cause they didn't fix it because they can't, and the first rep didn't do their job. They have a covid 19 check in, which means nothing, but I checked in "#1 in line" waited in my car, but people that parked after me walked in and reps helped them first. After complaining about it, running into the fact that it "looked like my tires were replaced" and they still helped those other people and worked on their vehicles first. Poor customer service, poor customer experience, from poor effort and awareness from the staff on two separate trips. I believe in Discount Tires brand...but this location is far from it. read more

I have been a customer of Discount Tire for many years. I have purchased many tires from them for my vehicles and camping trailer. A few years ago my granddaughter was driving from Texas to South Florida. On the trip she had a tire failure. By luck the only Discount Tire in Florida, at that time, was in Tallahassee. It was just a few miles from where the failure happened. The store put in our information, then replaced the tire for a nominal fee. Recently I noticed a "nail" in my tire. Now exactly what it was I have no idea. So I went to a local Discount Tire to have my tire repaired. As the tire was an OEM tire I was expecting to receive a bill. I did not. When the tire was fixed I was handed I only received my keys. It is my assumption that if you are loyal to this company they repay this loyalty. I had my car towed to their shop. They replaced the blown out tire and the other front tire. They didn't charge me anything for the tires, mounting or balancing. I comparison shopped for 4 tires and Discount beat everyone else by at least $75 for the total, could get me in the quickest, AND even though the tires they put on were base model, (Falken) the brand made the top ten list for the most recent year, so a true value- not just a bad tire for a cheap price. Plus, they came with a 60,000 mile warranty! Discount will rotate and balance them for free when i need it, too! I was in and out of there, with my appointment made online, in less than 45 minutes, too! Cody and Brad were SUPER friendly and helpful. Really a well ran shop. I've used discount for years to replace tires on most of my vehicles. This location is quite busy with a steady stream of customers in and out. The service people are friendly, they make sure to greet each customer, and spend time listening to their issues. The service people are also incredibly efficient, they understand what the customer needs and have the knowledge to help them get it. Today I came in for an appointment to swap out 4 tires. Wow... after many years of being a loyal customer at this location we have had an experience that has undone any loyalty we had. Over the holiday weekend we used the online purchase/appointment to schedule new tires for my elderly mother's car. During the online order I was asked multiple times if I would like to purchase the additional "certificates for refund/replacement" which I declined. Multiple times. On New Year's Eve - my husband took the car for the scheduled appointment to have the tires installed AS PER MY ONLINE ORDER. I have multiple confirmation emails with the exact order details confirmed. When he arrived for the appointment he referred the associate to the email confirmation. Later that day I checked the final receipt only to see the certificates had (against my order) been added at an additional cost of $65. Assuming this was an error I called for the fee to be reversed/refunded. The manager, Lewis, informs me he cannot refund our money (we did not authorize, the store charged without our approval) without us being IN STORE with the card. Even though I can give him the credit card information. Even though the store added on this fee without our approval. Even though the rest of the world KNOWS HOW TO TRANSACT BUSINESS OVER THE PHONE. In this store, if they charge you for services you did not approve you will have to drive to their location to get your own money back from them. There was no apology. There was no offer of restitution. Lewis DID raise his voice at me on the phone and excuse the error as "we just do what YOU ordered online" even though none of the receipt confirmations I have approved or listed the certificates as ordered. At best, there was some error that added on this extended warranty without our approval. At worst (and more likely) it is encouraged/acceptable to slip in extra charges wherever possible and hope the customer doesn't notice. But my biggest grievance came with the response from Lewis, the store manager, who without apology refused to take any responsibility for his store's error nor the inconvenience they are making on their customer to correct their mistake. I am not sure if that guy was on something or what, but if you are not familiar with car like myself, I would not recommended this place. When Tire Pressure Monitoring Light popped up on my dashboard, I chose this place to get it checked since they have good reviews. I was told by this guy at the counter that one has flat tire that is badly damaged, and in order to keep the balance, all of the four tired need to be replaced. He then game me the long wait time till they can replace my tires. I had a 2yr toddler with me so I decided to come back another time. Later that day, my husband took my car to another tire place just to see what's really going on since he did not see "badly damaged" part on any tire. No flat tire at all, and the guy even said it's not even time to replace any tires. The guy who supposedly "checked" my tires also has toddler and showed me a picture of his daughter. I wondered if he even went to check my car. Maybe to him, I looked like a miserable mother who could easily ditched. Sad. This happened a while back and we moved out of the state but wanted to share my negative experience I had here because tire change is expensive. If you live around this area, go to J & J Tire Service by North H-35. They are not friendly but do the great job. My husband and I were happy with them every time we took our car in. I've been to this location several times and haven't had a problem. I made an appointment on the telephone for all new tires. I arrived at my scheduled time and was able to check in via their Qscan barcode system. The advisor helped me pick the appropriate tires for my budget. The advisors are patient, nice and knowledgeable. Due to COVID customers are required to wear mask and staff members also wears mask. I was shocked, but I was able to stay in my car while they put my new tires on my car! It was cool watching all the guys run around fixing tires, lol. I was in and out in about 45 minutes! I have been using discount tires for about 8 years on different vehicles and today was the day I questioned ever walking into this establishment.. I bought a replacement rim (through them) due to having one of my rims cracked. The tire on the cracked rim was damn near new (3rd week of February) and didn't need to be replaced, just needed to transfer the tire onto the new rim.. simple right? I ALSO bought a new tire to replace the back driver side (that had been plugged and basically very little tread) on a rim that was fine. They literally put my CRACKED RIM with a NEW TIRE and didn't do anything with my patched tire..and my new rim..? Not on my car, not in the trunk,... still in the box.. in the shop. I got a text saying my car was ready (dropped off around 3:15, got text around 4:50) I showed up to pick it up around 5:15.. only to notice it was done completely wrong.. And they were perfectly content with letting me leave.. The guy said the notes were put in correctly but the guys in the shop got confused and didn't know what to do..? So they just get to end up keeping my almost brand new tire and my brand new rim... because they got confused ? (Sketchy if you ask me) Look at the receipt to see what I paid for and make sure I leave with WHAT I PAID FOR. It almost feels like because I'm female that they just thought I wouldn't notice and they could do whatever they wanted with the things I paid for and didn't recieve.. If you go into a Discount Tire store, you will get great service. But if you try to order through their website to get the online discounts, you will be very disappointed. There website programmers are incompetent. I log in to my account, and it says I have to log into my account to apply the discount. But I'm already logged in and my name shows at the top of the page. And I can click on my name and see my account information. So, I am definitely logged in. That is just sloppy programming!!! But it doesn't end there. I'm signed in and enter my vehicle data, and they forget it!! Finally I find a tiny button you must click to save the data. Again, just incompetent programming. In any case, it irritated me so much I bought my tires at another tire store instead of Discount. As so often happens, local stores do great and corporate headquarters fails to support them with their end of the deal -- like a competent website. read more

Used to be a great place to do business. Not so much anymore. My some went in to get a flat fixed. They pulled him into an isolated room and told him he couldn't leave without buying new tires. He should call his parents if he couldn't do so. They said his tires weren't legal to drive on the streets. Granted, he had low tread, but come on people. All they had to do was say they couldn't work on it due to the low tread. Then they quoted him just shy of $900 for new tires. For a 7 year old Chrysler 200!! Those people are crazy.
