I was late leaving work on a Friday and moments after I pulled out on the road I noticed the tire warning. After a quick check I knew I had a nail or screw in the tire. I quickly located this Tire Discounters and pulled in just before they closed. These folks were great... they got my car in immediately and in only 20 Minutes they had found the screw, plugged the tire and had the tire remounted and ready to drive. I had been taking my car here since I purchased it in 2022. I was happy because they always were able to fix everything quickly, even though it was costing me $300 here, $500 there. I was just happy to keep my car on the road, serviced, and in working order. Then came another dilemma! They told me it would be $3,800. In fact, that's what made me sell the car! I figured if I take my savings and purchase something else, I'd stop sinking my money into a car that required me to spend money everyone I turned around. What I didn't know is that the person who said my trouble was $3,800 was 100% wrong! The problem was a very minor one. The total cost was $165! The person who purchased my car told me whoever advised me it was almost $4k was not being honest and taking advantage of me. This is the exact reason women do not trust mechanics. I would advise any woman needing car maintenance or diagnosing of issues to take their care to a shop with a history in the community of being honest and a straight shooter. I feel foolish for raving about how awesome they were (to their face) and then to discover my car was $165 fix solution, but I sold it because that repair was half the cost of what I purchased the car for initially. If you do go here for diagnostic and it ends up being in the couple of thousands, be sure to get it in writing, then go take your car to a mom &pops shop for confirmation. This review at least will ensure that other women will get a second opinion for quotes by anyone here at this tire shop. I'm disappointed in these guys who seemed so honest, and could stare me in the face and tell me my car needed major work, when it didn't! But at least I feel better being able to help others use the good judgement I didn't. To clarify my earlier statement because I can't edit without erasing and starting over, I meant to say their quote was half the cost of what I paid for the car initially. Dumping almost another $4k into it, when I was already being nickled and dimed everyone I went in, I wasn't going to do that anymore. checked in 20 minutes early for my 11 am appointment. knowing an oil change takes an hour, i brought a book to read. i finally asked about my car at 12:10 since it had NOT been pulled in yet. another 4-5 minutes passed before my car was pulled in. it was 1:10 before i got my car back. i got my invoice before the car was available. after reading my invoice: itw-1038055046, i realized i was just blown off as a female customer. first: no one mentioned that i have a headlight out. yet, the paperwork says they checked headlights, turn signals, brake lights etc. then no one mentioned the 2 lights on my dash board. one is the tire pressure light - none of which are working - does not affect engine performance. and the other light is the hatch is open. i replaced that switch and its not seated correctly. again, that light does not affect the engine. this company may be good for tires, but maybe should give up on oil changes. unless you have all day to wait dont take your car here for an oil change. and the coupon i used was given to me when i bought 4 tires from them. read more

I would give Tire Discounters in Beavercreek Ohio a zero if that were possible. We have been going to the store since they opened and have spent a lot of money getting tires, oil changes, tire rotations just to be treated badly today. My husband made appointment for a oil change, tire rotation and alignment for today at 11:00 am. We took the car in at our 11:00 am appointment and were told that the car would be done at 2:00 pm. At 3:30 pm we were not contacted about the car being completed and ready for pickup. They close at 4:00 pm, my husband called and asked if the car was ready and was told that it would be ready at 4:30 pm and that they won't close until the car is picked up. We arrived back there at 4:00 pm and I noticed that my car wasn't in any bay and was still parked in the same spot where I left it. When we went inside the older man at the desk asked what we needed. We advised him that we were there for my car, he opened the door to the bay area where we could hear what he was saying to a man who was on the door. The man on the bay side advised that he wouldn't get to it until a bay was open and that one of the cars in the bay was dropped off before I dropped mine off, his tone of voice was rude. The older man at the desk advised that when a bay was open they would work on my car, and that they were busy today with people walking in and that was why my car was not started or completed. My husband in a nice tone with his voice was low so not to be rude or make a scene asked the older man on why did they take appointments and give times when the car would be completed if they are taking people who are walking in before the people who made appointments, the older man started walking away turning his back to my husband. We both needed to get things done and go places, but had only the truck my husband was driving, which wasted our day waiting on picking up the car at a specified time that was not honored. We won't be going back there for anything. There are a lot of other places to get tires, oil changes and alignments. You lost a good long time customer. read more

Went into this location this past Friday for a tire quote. First impressions were that there was no parking spaces. Decided to pull out and I came back Saturday morning. Was able to find a space to park. Went in and waited about 10 minutes. (Granted the business was busy.). Told the person I needed a quote and he asked what sized tire and I told him. Asked to get an inexpensive one as I did not want to spend a lot due to the age of the vehicle. He printed a quote which was the not the sizes speed or weight limit I told him. Which makes a difference in price. He also offered no other information and very little friendliness which would persuade me to want to purchase $600+ worth of product from him. I have been using Tire Discounters for my vehicles since 2015. I'm a loyal customer because of the service and value they give to the customer and to me. I elected to go to another location in the area which turned the negative experience around. He even walked out to my vehicle to get the size and look at the tires and was able to punch in a quote for the least expensive and the correct size of tire and explained the deals and rebates. I set up an appointment at the other location. While I was there I explained my experience with the Beavercreek location and he said they get quite a few customer complaints about that location. I thanked the man for taking his time with me as a customer. That it showed he knew want he was doing and wanted my business. We set up an appointment. And I'll get my tires installed by the other location soon. I'd suggest not using the Beavercreek location based on my experience. read more

I went to them years ago for a front-end alignment and tires and they forgot to put everything back together and when I told them it was making a noise they said my four-wheel drive was going out . I stopped at another Tire Discounters on the way home and they said the same thing . When I took my truck to Ford they said someone forgot to tighten up everything after the alignment and they had to redo the alignment so I paid TD to mess up my truck. Never told me, but tried to charge me for courier service because they sold the tires I ordered to a walk-in customer and expected me to pay for delivery on the replace ment tires. . I bought new tires here a year ago. No complaints with the tires but when I tried to get my tires rotated recently by another vendor was informed that tire has been cross threaded. The vendor was nervous about applying required force out of fear of breaking stud. Suggested I take the car back to Tire Discounters as they were responsible for cross threading stud when installing new tires. Tire Discounters did break the stuff when I brought it in for the tire rotation. They refused to repair it at their cost. Gave me a song and dance about expansion and contraction causing break. However, on the way home, I decided to check the air pressure readout and to my surprise: the right tires showed the correct pressure of 35 psi while the left showed 31 psi. Here's an updated review on a different car. I haven't been able to drive for weeks because the regional manager won't contact me to do something. The original problem I took my car in for was never resolved because they refused to work on my car. After a week of waiting, I walked here and asked for my car back because I work and I'm in college. I need a car. Both the lady at the desk and a mechanic got an attitude with me. I have a long list of grievances now Do not take your business here. I about wrecked my car because they put a heater hose on my brake vacuum line. They're lucky I don't sue. read more

I am a fan of Tire Discounters. Really, I am. And if I hadn't been to a couple others who were just freaking amazing, I'd probably give this place three stars. I needed a flat replaced. I called ahead and asked about appointments. They said none were available so I asked about the best time to try to be worked in and they worked me in, which was nice. I dropped off my car. The guy I left it with was pretty nice. I have a warranty from buying my tires at another Tire Discounters and he had to look me up because I was out of town and, of course, my paperwork was in the other town. After about an hour I got a call to pick my car up. I am not a tire expert. I don't know anything about them. I rely on the kindness of strangers. When I bought my tires, I was impressed that the woman told me these tires were the best for me even though they weren't the absolute most expensive. That made me feel good. During the call the guy told me they didn't have the same kind of tires but had put on something comparable that could "get me where I needed to go." I don't know what that means, exactly but it was a weird turn of phrase. I picked up my car and had the guy explain my warranty to me because I thought I was still in my grace period. He was pretty nice about it. When I was driving, my car started making this awful jangling, rolling sound. I thought, on, crap. I would be the one who would get a flat and it would totally destroy my car. So when I arrived at my destination, I looked around it. Like I could see something wrong! Ridiculous! Then I had an idea. I looked in the trunk. It was night, but I saw my jack floating around freely and thought, oh, that makes sense. The next morning I went out to find my donut, jack and all the parts to put it together just thrown in the car. No wonder I had thought it was dying. I realize these don't sound like huge problems or reasons to give two stars, but at other locations I've been to, everything was throughly explained to the point even I, the layperson, understood the basic issue. And I have seen people at other locations do services for free that seemed so kind to me. Replacing the donut seems so simple to me. A kindness that I've grown to expect from this company. The reason I go to this company. Because I feel valued by them and they don't treat my ignorance of cars in a disrespectful way. And all that stuff floating around my car required me to have assistance from someone else. I couldn't do it myself. That was a service I feel I paid for. Had brakes replaced on Honda CRV 5 months ago. Recently, grinding started occurring again. Daughter had car at school and was not able to return to Tire Discounters so went to Honda dealer nearby. Discovered caliper had frozen and subsequently worn completely through new pads and damaged rotors. Technician indicated this should never have happened if everything was thoroughly adjusted and tested previously. Tire Discounters would not give me any consolation for having to spend an additional $1000 to repair withe the excuse that we should have brought the car to them, which logistically was not possible. We have the faulty parts to prove what was wrong and I wasn't even given the opportunity to have them look it over. Basically, so sorry about your luck and come to us next time. Very disappointed about lack of customer service and disregard for putting customer satisfaction over policy. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. My GF took her car here because there was a terrible vibration in the steering wheel. We left and came back a couple hours later after they had allegedly done a tire rotation and tire inspection. They provided a pretty lengthy list of repairs to rid the shimmy in steering wheel to include a brake and suspension replacement amongst a few other items. Funny because another shop replaced the brakes and shocks a couple months ago. I thought they were full of shit and 10 days later I was proven correct. On 675 her tire BLEW UP. The tire belt had shifted, which was the source of the vibration in the wheel. With the spare on, the vibration went away. This evidence suggests they NEVER inspected her tires nor did a rotation. They wrote up a bull shit list to get her money. These guys are a clown show with a name that suggests they work on tires. Detecting a tire abnormality such as a shifted belt is TIRE 101. If you need tire work, take your car anywhere else but here. read more

The guy ( I really wish I had gotten his name) at the front desk even re-attached a hose that he noticed once he had my car up had come loose. I have, since buying my tires from TD, had 2 occasions where my low tire pressure light came on. Instead of trying to fill my tires myself, I took my car to TD and they fixed the tire problems both times. Though they were minor problems, they could have led to greater problems down the road. Not a good experience AT ALL! I showed up bcz my truck was leaking anti-freeze from the thermostat housing. I was quoted that "worst case scenario" they'd have to replace the housing which would cost $150 total including labor. So I have them go ahead and fix it. When they finish, I go to pay & they try to charge me $230. I argue that it's not what I was quoted & they dropped it to $205. Still more than I was quoted. To top it all off, I drove 15mins home, parked it for a couple hours and now the fan won't work. No heat, nothing. I'm taking it back in first thing in the morning, hopefully they pull their heads outta their butts and do it right this time. read more

The manager was not helpful at all in explaining or resolving why they were telling me I needed 2 more new tires. I had purchased new tires (4) 3 years ago. Had my tires rotated regularly. Purchase 3 new tires in the following 2 years. 1 replaced a damaged tire and the other 2 were their recommendation. Had the alignment and balancing done by this establishment only. I went in to have them rotated in 2022 and was told I needed 2 more new tires. When I questioned how this was even possible, I was told that was how it was. I went in for a tire that has repeatedly lost pressure. Went I went to pick it up they told me I needed new back tires, never looked at the bad tire for any leak, did not even put air in it and was not going to tell me. I had to call Cooper tire myself to talk to them about a warranty claim. The store will not call. Then cooper said they have to call and the manager Darryl had all the information wrong so they denied the claim. Luckily, I had all the receipts to show everything. Cooper honored the warranty, and I got new tires. No help from Darryl. Horrible experience. read more

Stopped in to the Beavercreek location for my regular oil change on 5/4/2022 and had a few requests to check out my front left drive axle, ball joints, bearing, and control arms because I was hit right in that wheel back in January. The body shop my truck was fixed at even had to replace that wheel and they contract out to another shop. I was still having a vibration and noise from that side that changed with the load on the wheel as I went around corners and came to a stop. Darrel, Mike, and Shannon along with the tire tech quickly found that when my bumper had been pushed in that it had take a couple chunks out of the middle of my tire. Shannon checked everything out and said all the suspension parts were solid and on his several test drives it all was good to go. I can always count on them to provide me with the best most honest service, and even though I was only there for an oil change I left with 4 new tires because that one needed replaced. The attention to detail for the safety of the customers is outstanding and appreciated. I had put probably 2000 miles on that tire since the accident and had it back to the repair shop to find out what the noise was and they never could find anything. I know TD 38 is on top of things since it only took them a few minutes after having my truck on the lift to find the issue and to alert me to it. Great work there, and I hope they all find out about the praise and appreciation I have for that crew. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Walked in to get a simple tire quote and stood around waiting for 10 minutes when the staff could clearly see me in there as they joked behind the front desk. There was only one other customer who looked like he was waiting for an answer as well. The butch lady with the spiked hair finally asked "If I needed anything" not even looking in my direction with attitude. I was so pissed I said nope and walked right out. I have been a very loyal customer to the Fairborn TD location. Mostly oil changes and tire rotation, brakes. This problem came from a simple thermostat installation. They put three thermostats in my Infiniti M35 that day. None of them were working properly. The technician was trying to squeeze out an air bubble with the lower hose. He said it finally started working and told me it was good and sent me on my way. The next day it started overheating just a little again. I called TD and they said as long as it doesn't go to much higher I should be ok. They said the temperature gage might have a new normal position with this thermostat. I said ok and drove it for another week with the temperature fluctuating every day. Finally one day it got very hot so I had it towed to my house. Called TD and they told me to bring it back in. When I did this they then told me I had a blown head gasket!! They could repair it for $3500. That was way too much. TD then recommended me a small shop down the road (Cummins Automotive-highly recommend fair prices and good people (937-873-4118) and I had them do it for half the price. At the end of the repair with Cummins Automotive, they had the same thermostat issue. They did a little research (which is what TD should have done) and found out that Aftermarket Thermostats should not be used, only Infiniti thermostats. We got an OEM Infiniti thermostat and the car has ran perfect since. I feel that TD caused this issue by installing three of the wrong thermostats. The last one that TD said was good obviously was not and caused my car to blow the head gasket. Because they did not do there diligence after the third thermostat I had to spend $2000 on a new head gasket. The part that is really upsetting is that I have been a loyal customer for years to this place. When I came in to discuss this with Darrell he shut me straight down and said we are not responsible and will do nothing to help me. The other manager Wendy told me the day before that she was very sorry and that TD would treat me fairly and absolutely could get some credit to me for future oil changes or other work. When I came in the store she left the room pretty quickly and Darrell took over and basically told me to go fuck myself. That is what I told him also. Bottom line this place is way over priced and they don't do QUALITY work. They also don't stand behind there work. Darrell is an absolute FuckHead and doesn't deserve to have any type of management position. MY ADVICE IS TO STAY AWAY FROM TD FAIRBORN. VERY CROOKED STORE. You can buy tires and get work done at many other places without having to pay such high prices OR EXPERIENCE SUCH POOR WORKMANSHIP. MANY OTHERS WITHIN 3-5 MILES OF TD. WORTH THE EXTRA 5 MINUTE DRIVE. You wont have to deal with Cowardly Darrel either. Discount Tire is right across the street. P.S. the regional manager called me this morning and basically said they would do nothing. Basically another FUCK YOU FROM TD. TIRE DISCOUNTERS IS A RIP OFF ORGANIZATION. BEWARE- DO NOT USE THEM.
