After 15 yrs as their customer I am disappointed. They screwed up on my last order of tires, tried to sell me a different brand but luckily manager made it right. This time no one made it right. I had paid in advance so it was just install 4 new Michelin's & swap the spare (Dunlop) out w/ the best of the 4 Firestones on the car. I called almost 6 hours after check in (treid 3 times to get an answer) & it wasn't even worked on yet, said another 2 hours. No one called. Next day I called (6 times & no answer) so I walked there. Car had been checked in 24 hours by now. It was done. Tony said he called me 3 times & I didn't answer. Neither my home or cell had any missed calls or messages. I have been a customer there for at least 15 years & am in their computer. Jeremiah also wrote down my cell # on my paperwork. I had to ask for my receipt because he just handed me my keys & expected me to leave. I asked if they had switched out my spare w/ the best of the 4 & he said "yes." It was not noted on my receipt. I checked my spare & still the Dunlop is on! I just left, not even bothering w/ trying to get service. I can't leave my car for another day just for this! The husband and I took a quick trip trip Bellingham last week to do some shopping and thought we should look into some winter tires for our Tacoma. We got there right before closing and we could see that they were very busy with everyone else also rushing to get their winter tires done. Ricky was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! He recommended a great studded tire and gave us an excellent deal on some aluminum rims (we were originally looking for some plain steel rims but they aren't compatible with our truck). Being that it was right before closing time, we agreed to come back the next morning. Ricky had the wheels mounted, balanced and ready to go for us first thing! Overall, discount tire is a great place to get tires and rims!! I've gotten a brand new set of tires an rims here. The only problem is 2 weeks after I got the brand new tires, I got 2 flats within those 2 weeks. I went to discount and they replaced the tires for free that weren't fixable. Even with these issues I would still recommend it. They are super friendly and have a lot of offers to offer you! They are also as quick as can be and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't see that they don't have customers. read more

Thank you, Tony Stone. My car was in the shop with a blown tire so I was driving my truck. I was feeling really fortunate that I had a back up vehicle so I could get out of town to see my father who is dying. I had my 12 year son with me and I needed to make the 2.5 hour drive immediately after to work. As I was about to head out of town, I ended up with a bolt in my truck tire. Car still in the shop and a bolt in my back up vehicle tire, I got to Discount Tire just after 5 pm. Tony said, they'd need to see if it could be repaired or if I would need a new tire. He said it would be about 2 hours. I started to cry (the kind you can't stop, the kind you're so frustrated and embarrassed about) I could barely squeak out my name and phone number. I was trying to figure out how I could just get to my car in the shop that was about to close. First I had to pay them $832 and I only had about 15 minutes to get from Lakeway to Hannegan. While my son was out unloading the truck so we could get a ride to car, Tony looked at me and said, "do you have 10 minutes?" I nodded because that was all I was capable of at the moment. He ran out to my truck and had my tire fixed in 10 minutes. I know I was not entitled to any special treatment, but his act of kindness was so unexpected and so appreciated. Last week I dropped in with my truck to get tired put on, and the wait time was 5 hours to get the tires put on. A week later, today, I had to take my wife's van in to get a flat repaired. They said it would be a 5 hour wait again. OK...so their prices are fair. But what in the world!? Life doesn't always allow you to make an appoinment. In my entire life, I have never had to wait more than approximately an hour when I was a drop in customer without an appointment at Les Schwab, Firestone, etc. Get it together Discount Tire. You need to make some adjustments so that your loyal customers are able to drop in for emergency needs without having to sit around for 5 hours or having to find another ride out of there. read more

Made a trip in my trusty 2012 Subaru Impreza from Seattle to Bellingham to see a friend and visit the WWU campus. I had TMPS light on for the trip up, despite my Seattle mechanic not being able to find anything wrong. Stopped at Discount Tire to check the air pressure before heading back to Seattle, only to discover a heart-stopping 17 in one tire. We live on Salt Spring Island in BC and after doing tons of research online the fact is this, we saved over $200 dollars going to Discount Tire for winter tires even with the ferry cost. I actually said to my dad that it is so amazing to feel like you get real, true service from a business that cares. We did not have an appointment and there was an hour wait at the border so we dropped our van at 9:30 on a Saturday and it was done by 12:30! Amazing service, amazing prices. Thanks to Larry for getting us all sorted. The deal is we got high quality snow tires for way cheaper than the cheap Chinese tires they sell at Canadian tire. Purchased tires and wheels from this location. One of the wheels came scratched. They immediately called the supplier and had a replacement shipped to me within days. They allowed me to use the scratched wheel until the replacement came. Twice a year I swap out my tires for winter and summer. They service the wheels and rotations for free. I don't let anyone else touch my wheels except these guys. Staff is courteous and friendly. read more

DONT SHOP HERE!!!! I bought $1,400 worth of new wheels and tires and when they got in they called and said my stuff arrived but they couldn't install today! So I called the next day:, "sorry,we have a 4-5 hour wait" repeat for next 5 days!! Finally after 9 days I drove in there( I'm 40 miles away) and said that I just spent a lot of money and can they put on my wheels and tires? Came in with no appointment with my own tires I ordered online but called maybe an hour before. I dropped it off and he said they should be done in an hour and a half. I don't think an hour even passed by when they called and said it was ready to go. On top of that instead of charging me for the dismount, mount, and balance of all 4 tires for about $96 he offered to sell me the warranty for the tires that I brought in for I think $76. So I only paid for warranty for less than it cost to put the tires on in the first place. I don't know how they can do that but I don't care. Even if they don't honor the warrant for some reason I still spent less so I'm more than happy. I tried to have firestone do it first because that's where I usually go but they said I have to buy from them or their website so I'm gonna avoid firestone since they want to be like that. Discount Tire has always been the best places to buy tires. I've lived in AZ, CA, and now WA and bought at Discount. This last purchase was in Bellingham. It didn't seem to be a good experience as the tires I purchased didn't fully come in for my appointment. However, the store made it right and worth the hassle even though all the tires came in later that day. It was a minor inconvenience they were apologetic and as I said made things right. I will continue to buy tires with Discount Tire, they treat you well and have great prices! read more

I went in to get new front tires. The service was fast and cheap but you get what you pay for. A week after my tire service my car started making very loud sounds when I turned to the left. I called Discount Tire and they checked it over and said everything was fine. Because the noise continued I took my car to another shop who told me the wheel bearing was damaged. While Discount Tire is cheep, they should still take their customers safety into consideration. Would not go back. read more

Woke up to a flat tire and it was time to replace them all anyway so I checked around. As a Costco member I thought they had the best prices on tires, but like anything, it depends on what you buy. For my vehicle, they had 2 options. Discount had 10 different brands. When I called them, they asked me really good questions, recommended 2 options on the lower priced side and another higher priced option. They explained the differences and had all the options in stock. Costco in both US and Canada were out of stock so 1 to 2 weeks of waiting were required. I checked the low priced recommended brand with Consumer Reports and found them rated second only to Michelin but half the price. I guess the point is that I was looking for good tires with a good price. It just so happened I also got excellent service and prompt installation as well. I'll be back. And for those who email them and get delays, I can't speak to that but the telephone works and it was worth the 25 cent long distance bill! read more

Took my car in after I got a flat to see if they could fix it, they do that for free! I was told my tire was no good and they recommended buying two new tires. I agreed and the sales rep said he would call me later that day when he located and ordered two in my size (they didn't have any in stock) I never got a call back. The next day I called in the afternoon to check in and see if they had ordered them or what and I was told they would call me back. I never got a call back. So I took my business elsewhere. I wish they were more on top of it bc I would have loved to give them my money. They are real nice and knowledgeable, but I felt forgotten even when I was ready to spend some cash there! read more

I have had really good luck with Discount Tire. I have purchased two sets of Michelin tires, one for my 2007 Honda Pilot and one for my 2002 Honda Accord. There price was competitive. They installed the tires promptly and they honor their free rotation and balance service. My wife had a blowout on I-5 on the Pilot. She called me and I found a Discount tire near where she was. The tires were old anyway, so we had them replace all four. They had our favorite tires in stock and got her back on the road in about 1-1/2 hours. They also balanced the tires on my Takena travel trailer. They had to jack up the trailer outside in the parking lot, removed the wheels one by one, balanced and reinstalled them. read more

Took my car in recently to have tires rotated and was in and out of there within thirty minutes. Just great customer service. The store is immaculate, not like your typical tire store. Shiny clean floors, sparkling windows, service technicians dressed in nice uniforms, complimentary water and coffee. I created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review for these guys. In the 20+ years of owning and driving cars, I've never experienced better service when it comes to my automobiles. I made an appointment the night before just because every time I've driven by this place and it is always busy. I decided to come to this place for tires because of all the good reviews it got on Yelp. I arrived for my appointment about 10 minutes early and was welcomed inside with someone holding the door. I went to the counter and told them I had an appointment and they already had all my information so it went fast. I showed them an ad from Walmart that had the same tire but cheaper. They ended up beating the Walmart price by $2 for each tire. They asked for my keys to go get the mileage off the car and do a quick inspection. The employee came back in, told me the price, I paid for the tires, and was told the car was already being worked on and would be ready shortly. Literally, 10 minutes later they came and told me my car was already. I turned around and saw my car out front ready to go. All told, I was there for only 25 minutes. I've never experienced anything like it before. I was expecting to wait an hour at least. Last time I got my oil changed at the dealer it took two hours. These guys changed all my tires and got me out the door in 25 minutes. Needless to say, I will definitely be back. read more

Gave up yesterday and ordered from Summit Racing. They were shipped out of Sparks,Nevada and are in Portland scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Still have not received a call back from Discount Tire.
