The next time I had a tear which, again, they offered to repair for free. I mentioned that my traction was crappy in the snow so we went over a few options and within an hour (with no appointment by the way) I was out the door with a new set of tires under $800. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went to this location to replace a flat tire on my truck, after dropping my truck off and waiting 25 minutes I was informed my tire is not fixable and needs to be replaced. The employee told me that another discount tire at 3601 Tower Rd has a comparable tire for me that is 25 min away. After arriving at the next discount tire, I discovered the first location (17200 Smoky Hill) forgot to give me my flat tire and rim back causing me to waste driving 25 minutes each way. The second shop told me i needed to go get my flat tire and bring it back to be fixed but i just requested to get the tire from there to take back to the first Discount Tire i had gone to so I didn't waste another hour of driving. Once I arrived back at the original shop, I was not prioritized at all or compensated for wasting 30 minutes driving between shops. After 3 hours of waiting, i never got a call or text that my tire was replaced and had to call to ask for an update of what was even going on for a single tire to be replaced. They told me it had been finished for and hour and a half by the time I called. Worst experience with a Discount Tire Ever. Oh also, I asked them to check my front left tire because my truck was telling me the PSI kept dropping and they told me they checked it and nothing was wrong with it. This is a great business! I've been here several times for flat tire repairs and tire balance and rotation all for no charge. Clean shop, very courteous and friendly, alway finish the work in less time than they estimate. I was so impressed with this place that when my daughter needed tires I bought her a set for Christmas at the Discount Tires near her! Courteous, fast, professional, and clean! Even when they're busy they stay organized and efficient. Convenient location with a Starbucks within walking distance. Never have a problem scheduling an appointment for both vehicles and air checks/tire rotations are done in under an hour. Horrible service. I had four brand new tires put on and they marked up every one of my rims, my truck is two years old in mint condition. I had to go to a body shop for them to repair. Then when I got home I'm glad I checked my lug nuts because three were loose and about to fall off. Also this is the slowest tire shop I have ever been to it took them 2hrs to install four tires. Also just to mention when I arrived they gave me a sales person that it was his first day and gave me three different prices just kept adding items and increasing the price because he had no idea what he was doing. Brought my vehicle in to remove a nail in my tire. The gentleman stated they could repair it free of charge (I bought my tires from another nearby Discount Tire and they cover repairs). Without communicating the problem (I stayed at the shop), they replace the tire and charge me about $60. The workmanship was good, communication with me was not. read more

I've bought tires from this store previously. Today I returned to purchase 4 new tires for my pathfinder. They had them in stock so I paid for them. Matt said the car would be ready in about an hour. In about an hour they hadn't even started on it. I brought it to the attention to one of the sales guys who pulled it into a stall where it sat for another half hour before someone finally decided they should do the work. This shows a very poor management of time resources. Better to provide a realistic time expectation than offer disappointment. read more

I usually always come to discount tire but I will likely never return the the location I went to or the store in general. I had an issue with my lug nuts and Had to get a new set which was fine but what was completely unacceptable was the condition of my wheels. Scratch's everywhere and hit marks from what looks like someone was hitting the lug nuts with a hammer and just completely missing and completely destroying all 4 of my rims. They did not call me when my car was ready for pick up aswell. Now I have to try to repair/replace my rims unfortunately. Seems their workers don't care about the customers rims and just decide to completely destroy rims of people who don't have good lug nuts. I could understand it could be frustrating but seriously have some consideration of other peoples property. I'm sure no one wants this happening to them so if you don't want some beat up rims definitely don't come here! read more

I'm continually impressed with this organization. I have not been let down over the years. Matt, Joe, Jace (spelling) went out of their way to make sure my tires were road worthy. I bought my tires 12,000 miles ago. I had a big screw in my back tire. I left my vehicle at 7 AM and was called by 8:30 AM ready for pick up. The store does not open until 8 AM by the way. I feel these guys are a little dishonest about offering the lowest price to you. What the person on the phone quoted was way different than the price I got in the store. I felt it was to lure me in. With way too much going back and forth the rep was willing to come down some but would not match the telephone quoted price. Highly recommend. Went online to purchase 4 new tire that the website said we're out of stock when I ordered them on Friday. By Monday they had the tires at the store and ready for me to stop by. Quickly waited on;they met me in the parking lot, got my vehicle in the bay right away and the work order done in short order. This used to be my go to place for tires. I am going to try another place that has more complete service (like an alignment?...told the gen manager years ago that alignments should be something they offer, but then again they aren't set up for offering additional services, I am totally clear on that now). This place also has too many inexperienced people working there, just my opinion. If you know tires and know exactly what you want, it's ok I guess. If not and you're like me and need a bit of extra assistance, you should probably go elsewhere. And the girl with the eye roll yesterday didn't help either. I just bought tires online from them a couple of weeks ago and made my appointment for this morning. The tires are not even installed yet (now a canceled order as of yesterday) and I have already received my bill from them as of 5 days ago. The promotional period also started a couple of weeks ago as well. One guy at the store yesterday said that's not possible, one of the other guys said, yeah that's because you bought them online. The last person I spoke to told me to come back and talk to a manager. No thanks. read more

I had a specific tire in mind, it was between firestone and Discount tire. I went to Discount tire the other day to look at the tire that interested me. The tire I wanted was not a special order and I had been told ahead of time that it was in stock. The man at the counter at Discount tire refused to show me what I wanted to look at telling me they were not in stock. He did not want to take the time to show me the tire. So, I headed over to Firestone to look at their comparable tire and was helped in the capacity that I wanted right away. Guess what,I bought a full set of tires from Firestone. When are you big companies going to learn that us women have money and we want to spend our hard earned money, I don't need my husband to make my decisions for me. I don't want to hear from your worker that I can not look at the product that you are offering because he is to lazy to show it to me. All it takes is the first snowy day of the year to remind you that you have been putting off buying new tires for too long. I have purchased from another Discount Tire when I lived in Confer and Denver, but in the snow and with the tires I had, I was not confident that I should drive all that way. Having been a very satisfied customer of Discount's for a dozen years, I wanted to stay with them. I walked into this Discount Tire location and immediately was greeted and offered something warm to drink. I had an idea of what tires I wanted to buy (thanks internet) and I had an idea of what they would cost here (their website is very useful). Before even coming in, I priced the tires I wanted against a slew of competitors, and Discount was the cheapest, they do guarantee that and I found it to be true. Worst discount tire in Colorado!!! Called for a specialty tire witch they found and took deposit for when it arrived 4 days later I came to wait for 2 hours to get it on to only find out next day it was the wrong size tire. I called the store and complained and said I need a correct size tire the employee told me sorry I will look into it and call you back shortly witch I don't get any calls. Next day I call and request a manager on the phone right away and obviously the manager was not available so the gentlemen on the phone was nice enough to ask if he can help I explained the situation and that I am upset at this point he took all the info and said he will call back. I didn't get any calls so next day I call again ask for manager and thank god for small miracles I got the manager on the phone right away mind you I am no car guy but I know if you have a an all wheel drive car the tires cannot be off set so I explain the situation saying it's my 3rd day calling to resolve this matter he tells me that yesterday your tire was ordered but will take 6 days because now it's coming from a further warehouse. So my next question is what am I suppose to do he says drive it it's ok I tell him it's an all wheel drive car the differential might go bad or even break. His reply is priceless yes you are right don't drive it's bad for the car so I go on and say so I am now stuck with no car for 6 days I have work, I have 3 children and his answer to me was sorry don't buy an expensive car that requires special order tires! Long overdue feedback. Years ago, Michelin, a for-profit tire manufacturer who wants to sell you more tires, came out with a so-called study that says that new tires should go on the back and the more worn tires go on the front, even on a front wheel drive vehicle. Why? The "study" says that if you are going to fishtail, you are more likely to regain control if your good tires are on the back. Discount Tire was one of the first corporate for-profit tire retailers to latch onto this study to justify a policy of theirs that requires them to put new tires on the back, even if it's against the drivers wishes. Many other retailers have followed suit. What's the problem? The problem is, fish tailing is only one of many possible hazardous situations to consider when driving and should not be weighed more heavily than other more common factors. Here is a small list of situations where having better tires on the front is advantageous: - Snow - Climbing a hill with FWD vehicle. You are significantly more likely to get stranded on a slippery hill if you don't have your good tires on the wheels that propel you. - Snow - Turning into a parking lot with a dip between the street and the parking lot. Often, in snowstorms, snow accumulates where cars infrequently drive, such as parking lot entrances. If 8 inches of snow accumulate, believe me, you are going to want the good tires on the front to grip that snow to pull you through the deep snow. - Rain - Almost all vehicles have the backtires perfectly aligned with the front tires, where the front tires displace rain and the backtires drive over the same spot the rain was displaced. Driving on a straightaway is 99% of our driving, turning is less than 1%, furthermore, our highest speeds are on straightaways, and most drivers slow down for turns. Therefore, the overwhelming majority of hydroplaning begins on straightaways, not aggressive turns like illustrated in the video. therefore, the overwhelming majority of situations call for the need to have the better treads on front. So, although it is true that you may recover more easily if you have better tread on the back, you would be significantly less likely to even enter into a hydroplaning situation in the first place if they were on the front. - Puddles - If we are driving along at normal speed with light rain, and we suddenly encounter a pool of water in the road that creates a hydroplaning risk, 70% of our stopping power comes from the front tires and our front tires will come into contact with the puddle before our back tires will, therefore it is significantly more valuable to have the good tread on the front to prevent a hydroplaning situation. - Snow - Even on packed snow, if you need to stop quickly, and 70% of your stopping power comes from the front, you are going to wish you had the better tires on the front. Obvi You get the idea, there are many other examples where it's valuable to have the good tires on front. So you may be wondering, why would the tire companies mislead us? Aren't they the experts?Yes they are experts, but they aren't held to any fiduciary standard, they primarily have two motives: 1) to sell tires 2) to protect themselves from lawsuits. How does this help them sell more tires? If they convince you to leave your bad tires on front, where 70% of the wear occurs, that means you'll be in their store much more often to replace the bad tires. They'll tell you that the only way to prevent uneven wear of your tires is to rotate them every 5000 miles, and the more you are in their stores the more opportunity they have to sell you more stuff (ie tires, windshield wiper blades, oil changes, etc). It's more profitable for them to tell you to put your bad tires on front. So now you are thinking, why would deceiving us protect them from more lawsuits? The study they have, although it is not comprehensive of the entire driving experience, has a lot of teeth. and in the court of law, they can prove that they are following that study, and that is a very solid defense. The moment someone's child fishtails with bad tires on the back and dies in an accident, any litigious attorney can go after the tire retailer for failing to tell the consumer that they didn't warn them of the fishtailing risk. The tire retailers are doing this to protect their billfolds, not because it is actually safer. Therefore, I am not going to lay down and play dead, and I hope you will help me in this fight. Discount tire refuses to let me put the better tires on the front to facilitate the safest possible driving experience. Therefore, I'm leaving them a bad review. I ask you if you are reading this to leave a bad review for every tire retailer that forces you to put the new better tires on the rear, which puts your life in greater risk.
