My friend's recommended this place to me even before I got a flat tire since they do free tire pressure refills here. From the first call to the last (of many that I unfortunately spammed them with) they were punctual, understanding, and kind. I was so relieved to be able to get my car back the same day they took it. Although I wouldn't really call them a discount, I would still 1000% come back due to their service and from what I can tell is quality of care. Two tires with nails in them and one blown out, is what brought me in. I was looking for somewhere as close as possible to my place so I didn't have to go far with a spare tire that was a little flat itself. I saw lots of amazing reviews for this place. I called a couple places that I found on Yelp and they seemed to have the best deal. I was quoted 450$ with the service fee included to replace all 4 tires but when I got there we found out they were quoting me for 16" tires and I had 18". I don't know anything about cars, but the staff did help me compare tires that were for my car. The cheapest option was 114$ per tire, but I was told to at least get the 129$ tires as the 114$ ones were such poor quality. The 129$ compares well to higher priced ones and preform about the same so I went with those. I do appreciate the staff showing me on the computer the comparisons so I could make the best choice. I also desperately needed new wipers, so I grabbed those while I was there. They were 22$ each and no installation fee. In total for 4 tires and wipers I paid just over 700$. I really have no idea what to compare this to, as I have never changed my tires. I drive a v6 mustang 2 door coupe with 235/50R18 tires, which I was told would be more expensive than other tires anyways. I think the price was about what I could expect anywhere, if not slightly cheaper. 5 stars because they got the job done and were nice! I do wish they had more deals though. I know some places will offer a free alignment or the 4th tire free when you buy 3. This may depend more on the tire brand, but they didn't have any deals going on except a couple of rebates for like 100$ back if you mail in to the tire company.. so I was a little disappointed to not get any kind of special. Took my car in to patch a tire. It had a nail that I pulled out and plugged. I wanted an internal patch just to be on the safe side. I used to repair tires in a gas station when I was young and had plugged and patched many tires. WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT THE TIRE, they told me I needed a NEW tire. I said nope, that plug will last the life of the tire but I prefer an internal patch. They provided some bullshit explanation why they couldn't patch the tire after I plugged it, however I know better due to my experience. This is the best tire store in Chamblee and honestly the whole city in my experience. Tires are not fun, paying for them is even less fun, the whole situation can be very stressful. I am so grateful for this store and their customer service. I came in very upset and annoyed that I needed all new tires from an oil change and I was met with a polite, caring, and knowledgeable rep named Gary. At that time I could not afford to get the tires so I came back a week later and have been helped by Javaan who also had superb customer service. I'm disappointed with the service I received today. I generally go to discount tire for my tire rotations since I had a great experience with them when I had to get my tires replaced previously (different location). Tire rotations are free of charge if you've bought tires from them which is what always brings me back, and I've always been satisfied. Today though, I'm not sure if it was just a new employee or he was looking to make sales (not sure if they get paid on commission or something), but I was outright lied to. He told me that my tires couldn't be rotated because my front two tires wouldn't have enough traction and needed to be replaced. Then he went from saying to replace the front two tires to all 4 tires. I KNEW this couldn't be true. I know that my tires haven't had enough wear on them to need replacement. I take great care of my car, haven't driven enough that my tires need replacing, and get regular rotations to prolong their lifespan. I told him no thank you, and instead I got a second opinion elsewhere. I was SHOWN proof that my tires were still okay and did not need replacements. I got someone else to rotate my tires for me free of charge and was told my tires should last me about a year. Very disappointed with my experience this time. I was highly disappointed in the services I received on 10/13/2021 at the Chamblee location (4900 Peachtree Rd). I went to Discount Tires to get my tires replaced. I purchased three brand new tires. My visit began by standing in line for 25 mins. This is after I set up an appointment online. The work on my car took longer than the suggested one hour even though I had a reservation. I know staffing is short during Covid, and I can understand the wait, but it took a big chunk out of my day. This was not the worst part. When the service tech came out, he whispered to the sales tech. I knew something was wrong because he looked at me and shook his head. The salesperson mentioned the tire stud was cross-threaded and broke. They claimed it was due to the previous person who put on the tire. I was extremely skeptical that they did not even mention the possibility that they could have been the ones when they broke the tire stud. Especially since they said they were understaffed, and errors can occur. When I asked to talk to a manager, they sent someone over who did not introduce themself as the branch manager. He was not that much help. Even worse, they lost my hub cap logo on my tire. After 10 minutes of discussion, we had to find out it was placed in the trunk with my spare tire. It is hard to accept this level of service after I spent over $400 buying tires. I have been a customer for over 5 years, and I expected more. read more

I always love Discount Tire! They have been my go-to tire franchise everywhere I've moved. As always I started my tire search on Google, Tire Rack and then finally Discount Tire. They didn't have the tires that I wanted in stock so I called the store and they told me they could have it within a day at the same price as my online research. They do match prices so no harm in asking if you find something cheaper online. I set up my appointment for a few days later, but was pleasantly surprised to get a call the next day after ordering my tires to get an update that my tires were in and ready to be installed. Came here on a rainy Friday and there was a line of people waiting. They "try" to organize people with those who have an appointment and those who are walk-ins but I don't think that was the case during my visit. Since I had an appointment, my car was taken in immediately as compared to walk-ins who were told the wait was 3-4 hours (WOW). Remember to always make an appointment if you can. Within an hour my work was completed. I like Discount Tire because of their warranty (fix it or replace it for free), free tire pressure check, free flat repair and overall tire experts. Parking was sufficient though I can see it filling up quickly on busy days. Good prices, good service and convenient location. They don't do alignments, which are usually recommended when you change you tires (exclusively tire work only) but you can always take it to another shop as necessary. read more

Discount Tire at 4900 Peachtree Rd in Chamblee has excellent customer service and plenty of tire service techs to quickly get you in and out. Service advisor Jose greeted me at the entrance of the shop, walked to my car, and inspected all the tires including the spare tire in the trunk. He then gave me a time estimate of 30 min to complete a tire rotation and balance. In 10 min, a tire tech came to the lobby and gave me a status update, and in another five minutes handed me my key. The best part is my entire service was Free. They offer free tire rotation and balance even if you didn't buy tires from them. I will definitely go back to them for any tire repair, rotation, or future new tire purchase. read more

Long story short - the insurance I purchased for my brand new tires was useless. I purchased brand new tires in November of 2020, and got the insurance in case I picked up a nail in the tire, which I tend to do. Lo and behold, less than a year later in August of 2021, got a nail in my front passenger tire. I raced over to Discount Tire to take advantage of my free repair before my tire went flat. What happened when I arrived was unbelievable... I told the representative that I had a flat tire and wished to take advantage of my insurance. I was told that they were overbooked and I would have to make an appointment for 2-3 days out to have my tire repaired. Huh?? My tire is slowly going flat and I have purchased insurance. I need to be placed in the front of the line. That's the whole reason to have purchased the insurance. I was told to drive to another location (30 minutes away) and see if they can assist me. What?? I have a nail in my tire! By this point I knew I would have to go elsewhere to get this tire repaired. I was getting nowhere (spoiler alert - I eventually went to Firestone down the street and they got my tire fixed that day for $25). I asked to receive a refund on my insurance, since it was useless. The employee told me they could not process the refund because a manager was not present (another customer service failure), and I would have to return the next day to get a refund. Wonderful. So the next day, after two long phone calls making sure a manager would be present (and sitting on hold for 20+ minutes at a time), I finally got my refund. The only reason I bumped the stars from 1 to 2, is because they explained they had many staff members out sick. Still, this is no excuse not to fix my tire when I purchased the insurance. This used to be my favorite place for tires. Great service, friendly, knowledgable, etc. But I changed my vehicle from using lug studs (where the bolt is inserted into the wheel) to wheel studs and lug nuts, AND THEY WILL NO LONGER BALANCE OR ROTATE MY TIRES ON MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I CHANGED THE WAY THE VEHICLE CAME FROM THE FACTORY! I'm still astonished at the stupidity of that policy. This isn't some fly-by-night conversion. It's a proven modification that is even offered by the vehicle manufacturer as an after-market modification. Unbelievable. I've spent thousands with these guys over the years. I bought a new set of tires & wheels for my Tesla Model3, they gave me a quote over the phone and talked about fitment. They honored a price quote and discount I got from Costco. My girlfriend had recommended discount tire previously, and I was in desperate need of 3 tires (tires were balder than my head). I was getting my oil changed down the street and the guy said I needed tires, and I told him I was going to Discount Tire and he whispered "yes, go there, you'll get a better deal". FYI - get your oil changed at Express, they are always honest. This location sits off Peachtree Rd (near Johnson Ferry Rd), close to Zaxbys and Lowes. There is a light at the intersection. Discount Tire store is known for its great pricing on tires but they also provide alignment services and offer some sweet looking wheels. First off, TRUST the reviews at this place. 120+ reviews and almost 5 stars is spot on. I pulled in with no appointment on a Thursday afternoon, and was greeted promptly by Cody. Cody was awesome and amazingly friendly. It was what you'd expect with customer service. Very polite, asked me a couple things about my life and even asked me if it was ok to check each tire and get the tread on them. Honestly, I think I learned a little more about customer service to use in my own job. I told him I needed three tires and preferred slightly used, since one of my tires was still ok. He checked them out and went to the back to see if he could find a match. I wasn't expecting them to have anything BUT to my amazement, he found 3 slightly used that were almost brand new! I couldn't believe it. I went to check out and he mentioned their certificate program (I didn't get it bc my tires were used that I got). Great program though, and if you drive to Atlanta a lot, I would recommend it. Lord knows I've had at least 5 nails removed and patched on my car in last 4 years. It's the reason why I have a newer tire than the others, bc a nail completely ruined a tire and this certificate program would have been ideal. I won't say what I paid but it was $400 below what I budgeted for on tires. In-freaking-sane! So, excellent customer service and excellent pricing PLUS free bottled waters and coffee! They also have shaded outdoor seating and comfy indoor seating (and places to walk to if your wait is long). Would I recommend them? You bet your ass I would recommend them to anybody.
