I went to Discount Tire a little before my 9:30am appointment and got the same experience I've come to expect from them. Tires for my truck are over $200 each, so I wasn't surprised when they quoted me $260 to put a new one on to replace the one with sidewall damage. What I didn't expect was for them to offer me a road hazzard warranty on all five tires (spare included), rotate and balance the others and get me a close-to-OEM replacement for $171.25 out the door! I don't know how much more I can say about DT. I'll never go anywhere else if I have the option. read more

We had a small issue with our tire caps and they fixed the problem right away with a phone call and personal service. We won't be going anywhere else. When I arrived for my appt the tires I had ordered had not come in yet. FedEx is still running behind from all the fires. The store had called me to reschedule but I missed the call. Anyway, when I get to the store I'm immediately greeted by a store manager, Danny O'Donohue, who advised me that my tires still weren't in but since I had come all the way down there he was going to upgrade me to a set of better tires in my size at no extra charge. I almost fell over when he upgraded me to a set of top of the line Michelin Defenders. I literally asked, "You're not going to get in trouble for this are you?" to which he said, "The number one rule here is to take care of the customer." Yep, that happened. Needless to say, I'm raving to all my friends about how great they are and now they have a customer for life. It was a little bit of a drive for me but this is the only place I'm going from now on. Surpised at my A+ experience!!! Very friendly staff. I pulled in at 11am and it looked busy due to a lot of cars being parked in their lot. After checking in I was quoted 1.5 hour wait for the balance & rotation. My car was done in 1 hour and they fixed the nail in my tire for free plus filled my tires. Yes!!!! THREE issues: 1.Started out with an appointment I made before hand. When I arrived, they said it would be about 45min. I was just only getting my tires rotated because I purchased them there. Why schedule an appointment, when before they said it would only take 15 min or so. Took closer to 35 min so not 45 but still upset about scheduling and then waiting. I won't expect much in the future. 2. What really bummed me out was the fact that I left my water bottle there by accident. I called later that day and they found it! I was super happy because it "WAS" my favorite water bottle. It was glass and had some sentimental value. They said "we will hold on to it". I said great I will be in later this week or early next. I called before I headed out there because I that weird feeling in my stomach.... They tossed it or stole it, not sure what. The rep didn't say sorry, didn't ask if I wanted to talk with the manager, just silence as I got angry with the fact that they actually had someone call back to say that is MINE and I will be back to pick it up... Within 1 week of leaving and coming to pick it up.... its gone. I get it, you aren't there to hold onto to people belongings. Just do tires, and maybe some customer service sprinkled in. But don't promise me you will hold something for me. Some of the worst customer service experience I have had with an issue like this before. 3. I had to fill my tires with air two days later. ALL were down 4-8 psi. Could be there fault, not sure why, but not super stoked with this location. read more

Awesome and courteous service! From the first day I walked in and helped by Eric, I knew I was going to be taken care of. Placed special order for Wheels and Tires, and as soon as they came in Eric called me to let me know. In one of those days with horrible traffic (think 5 shut down, and 205 backed up to Lake Oswego), I didn't get there till about 5:10pm (they close at 6pm). I had a new full size spare tire ordered by the store and brought in my own tpms sensor to be installed and programmed (store was charging me twice as much for a sensor so I ended up purchasing online). The first sales rep that helped me at my appointment was extremely pushy, wouldn't disclose or show me on the screen all the items he was charging me for. I even told him not to charge me for their tpms sensor because I brought my own. After my service, the sensor was not fixed, AND I was charged for the sensor. I walked back into the store, and thankfully a more polite sale rep helped me out and corrected everything. The original sales rep heard our conversation and did not even apologize that it was his mistake for over charging me. I did not get his name, but his customer service was so horrible. Update: I looked at the slip I kept in my car and the gentleman I dealt with directly is named Austin Slagle. Read this entire post to understand this update. I usually do not write reviews for places right away, unless they go above and beyond, and do something great in customer service. Okay folks listen up. I went in to get my tire fixed. I ran over a pretty big nail at some point and had been riding on a spare for a day. I met with the customer service man and he inspected my tire, and all the others, to see what level they're at. I already knew I am going to need new ones, but they had to see if they could even fix it, because once a tire reaches a certain level of tread, they can no longer repair holes. Luckily they did not try to lie and tell me that I needed to get new tires. I was at just the right amount to get it plugged, which is good because I am not ready this month financially to get a new set all around. They guy I spoke with, which his name seems to escape me now, so please forgive me. I know I should have memorized his name since I am so impressed and all, but I am the worst for names. Anywho, this guy did show me that even with his higher end tire, it would still be cheaper for me to purchase a set there versus the dealership I got my new car from. The lowest end was 50 dollars a tire, and guaranteed for 35,000 miles. That's pretty good. Here's why I will go back. They took my car in and fixed it in under 20 minutes. The guy who did the repair, a different gentleman, came out and informed me he would be pulling it up front for me, nice. Then I turn to the guy who I gave all my info to and asked what the total damage was, and you know what he says. "You don't owe us anything Chad, it's free tire repair here." Yeah he called me by my name, lol. That wasn't what impressed me though. He wants my business, so he just did that for me. I was already going to come back in a month to get new tires, before I trade in my car for a Jeep, because it was a good deal for the set of tires. Now though, they have a customer for life, and that I can guarantee. Oh, and one more thing. The rims they have there are so nice and moderately priced too. There was this sick gunmetal black rim I loved, but I don't want to invest in my car I am trading up, that ran for 99 dollars each, and another which was chrome and black for like 109 dollars each. That's awesome! Just saying folks, do yourself a favor and at least go hear what they have to offer, if that's something you're going to need soon. read more

I'd searched for months for a specially equipped Kona blue Mustang and had to fly to Kalispell MT to get my hands on one. Further, it has offset wheels front to rear, which are hard to find, and concealed side pipe exhaust vents just in front of the rear wheels which a careless mechanic could do significant damage to. So, yes, I was nervous about handing my car over to just anyone. America's Tire initially impressed me by not only finding tires, but making sure they were physically in stock and provided an accurate delivery date (something the Ford dealership was unable to do). When I arrived, the shop manager listened to my concerns about scratching the wheels and damaging the pipes, then set the car up on the hoist himself. On exit, the fellow who actually changed the tires unhurriedly explained various features of the car and waited while I inspected the car. He pointed out the cars that he and the shop manager drive, making it clear that the employees love their cars and understand how important it is to correctly handle performance vehicles. My new tires are riding great and seem to be balanced perfectly. I highly recommend this America's Tire shop. read more

So, it's not Les Schwab where they come running out, but I have ALWAYS had very nice employees and have been to two different ones. The 6 months no interest financing option is helpful when buying a full set of tires. The pay more to warranty the extras is annoying, but every business alive is trying to sell extended warranties to make some extra cash, so no judgement. This is a definite recommend! read more

This tire shop was quietly recommended to me by my usual mechanic shop as having the best prices for reasonable quality in town. The place was hoppin' but the staff kept it moving along. Within 1 minutes of walking in the door, I was being assisted. I had looked at the available tires for my car on their website and I thought I knew what I wanted (mid-price range). The employee I worked with actually told me there's no reason the cheapest option wouldn't work perfectly well for how, where, and when I drive. I appreciated this candidness. I bought 2 tires, and they discovered a nail in one of my not-replaced tires which they removed and patched for free. I thought that was super nice of them. I hadn't even known the nail was there until the employee spotted it during the pre-work walk-through. I did not have an appointment. It was about 1pm on a Friday and I was told it would be about an hour wait. I think it was closer to 40 minutes...I'm not sure...I got really distracted by the man with the adorable dog sitting next to me! The shop is clean and there is lots of seating but I wish they had magazines to look at. I hadn't expected to by tires that day (during routine oil change that morning my usual mechanic told me the tires were in bad shape so I headed straight to America's Tire) so I didn't have a book or anything. There were newspapers, which is better than nothing. I feel the staff was honest and upfront with me. I am happy to recommend the shop to Yelp-ers and to my friends and family. read more

This shop is great. Jharette is very helpful and makes sure you get the order right. He came out as soon as I pulled in, which was 20 min before my appointment and already recognized my order. Since it was a slow Saturday morning they were able to get to my car right away. My car was lowered too with a staggered setup so Jharette made sure the tech raised the car properly and put the correct tires in front and back. I'm from out of town and wanted to get another set of tires for my other car here for the discount. The tires didn't make it in time but they offered to receive the tires and send them to my local America's Tire store without charging extra for shipping. read more

If I could give them a negative star I would I purchase tires at the location on Sunnyside in October I have taken my vehicle there twice to have my tires rotated yesterday when I took my vehicle in they said it would be an hour wait after an hour and a half of waiting I walked up to see what was happening to my car they went to check on it came back 20 minutes later telling me it was almost ready then when they came back they said my car wasn't driveable and needed to be towed to a shop it was near closing once I got to the shop and he said that the tire place had damage the Hub of my wheel and it needed replaced but he would have to order it now I am without a vehicle and cannot work causing me to lose even more money than the 3 hours I sat in the shop yesterday just trying to get my tires rotated. read more

I've gone to Discount Tires twice. The first time they tried to pressure, guilt-trip, and bully my pregnant wife into getting 4 tires when I had ordered only 2 tires. They even rung up 4 tires and tried to get her to pay for it. A year later, I am getting the other 2 tires replaced. Scheduled a 5:30 appointment, was told it should take 15 minutes. They didn't even bring my car into a bay until 6 and I wasn't able to leave until after 6:15. Nice guys but very disappointed with this company. After getting my oil changed at a auto body repair shop, I was advised by the mechanic to get some quotes on rear wheel tires...then return to the mechanic, so he could beat or match the lowest price. A co-worker of mine told me that America's Tire Company had the best prices (over the much larger free-beef chain) so I pulled into one as I coincidentally came upon one on the way to the mall. My plan was just to get a quote, but the guy was so nice and the price so good, that I decided to get "squeezed" in, after he said they could change my tires in an hours time. That left me just enough time to walk over to the mall & get my errands done. With one upgrade in tires, I walked out of there paying $209. Curious, I dug through my car console and found the receipt from the last set of tires I'd purchased from their (much larger free-beef competitor) and discovered that I paid $300 for 2 tires back in 2009. That's a $100 savings I got from ATC. I have no idea what LS would charge 4 years later, but I'm betting not less than what they did in 2009. I know some people will say that you're paying their competitor for the good customer service...but ATC gave great service too (they run out to your car to greet you, serve complimentary coffee etc). Unless my tires pop off my car or explode, I will be giving ATC my return business. For $100 savings, I can't afford not to. read more

Turns out that not many places carry tires anymore for my 22 yr old Acura Integra. Fortunately Discount Tire does - one type of tires that is. No worries. It was very reasonably priced and wasn't a super high performance tire since my Acura doesn't have the same get-up-and-go as it once had. I was actually referred to here by Costco's tire dept since all they (Costco) carry is the super high performance tires in my size, which is more expensive. I got a quote over the phone and made the appt for today. I paid the exact amount as quoted (no attempts at upselling) and was in and out of there in the time promised. The waiting room is bright and clean. Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more
