I had 11 years on my tires, decided to get four new ones. I heard that Discount Tire was highly rated, so I went to their website. It is beautifully laid out....giving you the tire sizes you need after you put your auto info in. Next...they listed out all the available tires in my size. I picked Michelin Defender 2's and checked their prices against some other companies....they were totally competitive, and offer after installation perks like free tire rotation and balancing, flat fix and tire inspection. I ordered through the website, gave payment info and picked the day and time I wanted to visit. Their communication is unreal...they updated me via cell phone when the tires were ordered, and when they came in. They reminded me of my appointment, and on the day (today), they asked me to text when I was on my way, and when I arrived. When I parked, the customer service rep came out and greeted me. The car went in a little after 9:00am, and was ready by 9:30. The tire technician drove the car out of the bay, walked the keys into the showroom and introduced himself. I thanked him for a job well done. I checked the manufacture date on the Michelins....all four..."5025", which is mid December 2025...you can't get them any fresher! The tires are excellent....and I have to say, that I am totally pleased with my experience at Discount Tire in Elizabeth City, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great deal, and outstanding service. read more

Made an appointment for 945 just to plug my tire. Got here at 930 to check in and was told to plug the tire was going to be over an hour wait since they were busy. I told him I didn't have hours to wait and he said all he could do was put air in the tire and hope I still don't have issues. Snow helped us recently. We were making our way into the store when we were greeted in the parking lot with a welcoming smile and helpful interaction! We not only were able to get an amazing deal and price match on the tires we wanted that were not in stock but we got them that day and installed and they stayed late to have them done for us! I had to call back because we unfortunately lost a center cap on our car and Stewart was absolutely wonderful taking care of me over the phone ! I had to replace one tire on my rental car and DT really came through for me in a pinch. I wanted to have a matching tire but no one seemed to carry the brand in-stock. Called up DT and they found the tire and got it within a day. Super professional. Communication was excellent. I was nervous that the tire wouldn't get there the next day (and they were going to be closed the next day for the holidays), so they called me when it was on the truck to be delivered, and then when it arrived. Got an appointment quickly, and they got the tire mounted in 20 minutes. Really like that they have a text message system to tell you when the job is done, so you don't have to hang out while it is worked on. Can't recommend them enough. read more

Came in for 2 new tires on a cargo trailer and a tire for my truck. One of the tires on the trailer was to be used as a spare for the trailer mounted on a new rim. After mounting the old tire on the new rim, they discovered dry-rot cracking and that the tire is 13 years old. They unmounted it and put on a new tire at no cost to me! Safety first! I can't recommend Discount Tire enough! Go see them and make sure you get the warranty. It's worth it! read more

seriously this is the best tire shop I have ever used. We bought tires from them last year and had a great experience: fast and friendly. yesterday I was in a potentially dangerous situation: i had a tire sensor go off and pulled in quickly for their complimentary air service. The first tech was so very polite and knowledgeable, then as I drove away I felt the problem had gotten worse so I turned right back around. The staff immediately helped me and it was discovered that I had a bad bald spot on the inside of my tire. No problem.. we went inside and I decided to get a full set, was presented with several reasonable options to choose from and given a time of an hour and a link to track their progress. They we're good to their word,fixed within the hour window and even rolled the worst tire in for me to see and take a picture of. i love that I will get free flat repair and rotation/balancing because I bought the set and i just cannot say enough about how polite and helpful the entire staff was. We had purchased four brand new tires a few weeks ago and was super impressed with the service then. Yesterday, my tire sensor light came on and I knew I wanted to go to Discount Tire to get it check out because of the amazing service we had received before! I couldn't quite make it in time before my tire was completely flat! I was able to get air enough to make it to Discount Tire and they got me a new tire mounted and my tire sensor light reset within 20 minutes of pulling up into the parking lot.
