It was time for new tires for my 2017 Rav 4. When I looked for Discount Tire's phone number I noticed I could actually find the tires online, see if they were in stock and make an appointment. This was the simplest and most convenient process. I could select the appointment that best fit my schedule which in this case was noon on the day I ordered. I pulled in and it was extremely busy. I went inside and a young man in a uniform came up and ask if I were Judy, escorted me to sign in, and said since I made an appointment I would be put in front of those waiting. Brian was awesome! I can't say enough about how he made our day! They close at 6:00. We got towed to Discount and were dropped off at 6:40 pm. Our car got a flat in the forest and no AAA tow trucks would come get us. We couldn't change the tire ourselves because our hometown Discount changed the lugnuts and did not give my husband the key. I bought brand new rims (4) and brand new tires (also 4) exactly 3 days ago from Discount Tire. I was on a road trip from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon and had an unfortunate nasty pothole incident that damaged 2 rims (admittedly my fault). I called this discount tire location when I was an hour away to see if they could help me. Flagstaff is about 30 miles out of my way (60 miles round trip) but I wanted to get the issue handled. He looked up my rims and recent purchase in their system, and told me he had them in stock and that Discount Tire would help me out on cost since I literally just bought them. When I arrived, I learned they were not going to give me any level of a discount. I offered to buy one get one, or even buy one get one half off, something, since they said on the phone that they would do something. Nope, nothing. Full price. To top it off, they don't have the same tires in stock. They even said before looking at the car that "if the rims are damaged the tires probably are too." So if it's that obvious the tires would likely be damaged, I wish they had checked tire stock status while on the phone. So since I'm on a road trip and otherwise stranded, now after normal business hours, I was stuck paying full price for the new rims and accepting a similar but different tire (so now my 4 tires don't match). Had I known Discount Tire was not going to give me ANY discount whatsoever like they clearly implied on the phone, and didn't have my tire in stock, I would have tried somewhere else, somewhere less out of the way while on a road trip (all things they knew when I called them from an hour away). A big THANK YOU to Discount. I took my truck to Big O off of 66, and I was told I needed new tires/ could potentially face a blow out. Discount took time to really look and said I still had life on the existing tires. It is good to know that there are still mechanics in town that are looking to help more than an easy sale. When these tires do hit their expiration, this will be the first place I come to! The mechanic even sent us home with a tread depth measuring device to help keep a close eye on the wear. I got a flat on a rental SUV which I had rented at the Phoenix airport. It wasn't fixable, and I was not too excited about buying a new tire for a rental car. Ron was SOOO nice and understanding -- he even found a used tire that was in good condition and GAVE it to me. I am so grateful! I plan on moving to Flagstaff and 100% I will be going to Discount Tires when I need new tires for MY car. I was visiting from out of state and discovered that I had a nail in my tire. I checked my my phone, had a few choices and was glad that I went here. I was able to use my phone to check in and was greeted by Connor in less than a minute. He was patient, knowledgeable and made me feel like I was in good hands. He explained how they were the same company from where I was from, and was able find me a tire just in case. I went to the near by cafe (Lone Spur which was awesome btw) and before my food arrived I received a text that my car was ready. After my last update to this long saga, I was contacted by a manager at the Discount Tire in Signal Hill, CA. He placed an order for the proper sensors and hubcap. A few weeks later, they installed both without an issue. Excellent service from Discount Tire! My husband and I traveled in a rental from Vegas to Flagstaff. As soon as we arrived into town our tire pressure light went on and we quickly found we had a flat tire. Luckily we were .2 miles away from Discount Tire. We immediately called them and they were able to take us in right away despite closing in 45 minutes and having multiple other customers. Each worker was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were having tire problems while traveling through Arizona back to Texas. I called this Discount Tire store ten minutes before they closed while we were 30 minutes away. Ron told us to go ahead and come on in. We got here after they were already closed but finishing up their last customers. Everyone was very professional and had positive attitudes! I had a flat tire, often when I go to tire shops or anything having to do with cars the guys like to up charge or add services because I don't have much experience with cars... it can be very frustrating, but it did not happen here! They were super busy, but quickly got me on the list and checked out my tire within 5 minutes. I worked with a gentleman named Mason who was super friendly and fast. Despite being extremely busy they fixed my flat tire with NO CHARGE and didn't try to sell me on stuff I didn't need. My tire was patched and put back on my car in less than 5min... quick, fast and efficient! They had great customer service and I would recommend them highly! read more

Waited over 30 minutes for my "appointment" in which I was assured could be done in a timely manner - during my lunch break. It was not.

On the morning of June 4th, I had driven in from Phoenix AZ to Flagstaff to go camping with my daughter. On the drive up to about midway to Flagstaff, my car dashboard light indicated the rear tire was low in air. I stopped and filled the tire with air. When I arrived in Flagstaff the dashboard light again indicated my tire was low in air. We had planned to leave out early for camping but did not want to take a chance that something was worst with the tire than a misfunctioning indicator light. So, I went to the Discount Tire garage in Flagstaff and noted my tire problem and plans to go camping to the representative who was very accommodating and practicing social distancing. Seeing how busy the garage was I expected a long wait, but the professional staff worked quickly. The representative was clear in what they would do and what options may be available to solve the issue. After only 40 minutes the representative noted that they could not fix the tire with a sealant because there was a nail in the sidewall. I was in no position to pay for a brand new tire. To my surprise, they replaced my tire with a used tire without charging me. I have always had good service with Discount Tire in different locations and your company continues to exceed my expectations. Got a flat on the way back from Sliderock and needed a repair before heading back to San Diego the next day. Brought the van in the next morning and got there 30mins before they opened to beat the crowd. When they opened the rep said that they didn't have my tire but if it couldn't be patched they would give me a loaner wheel to make it back to San Diego safely and get the work done at the Discount tire there. Got out to the front to talk about replacing the tire and i just didn't have the $...as I walked away wondering what to do one of the workers came up and said they would give me a new tire for free! I'm surprised to see such high ratings for this discount tire. Over the years I've been left no choice but to head inside and buy tires here due to emergency repairs and replacements. Not many options in our small town. I always find myself being talked down to as if I know nothing, and they know everything. I do my homework and research before every tire purchase. I do run a different size tire than recommended from the OEM, however, they seem to push what they "think" is best. Here are a few examples of why I feel you should take your tire needs elsewhere; I bought Duralumin lug nuts that cost me $200.00. I asked them to please not use the air tools to remove and install them. Yes it's a little overkill to pay that much, my car my money. Soon after they pulled my car in, I find myself running out to stop them from doing EXACTLY what I asked them not to! My car is also lowered, again not ideal, but they should be prepared for the lowered or lifted vehicles that come in at this point, right? Not a chance. Again I find myself headed out to the "employees only" area to stop the circus that I watched as they tried to pull my car onto different blocks sticks wrenches etc while not ripping off any body panels. I ended up telling them how to do it. So much for have a seat and relax in the waiting area. And this is absolutely the last straw; My wife needed new tires badly, we could only find her size at this location, reluctantly we headed in and bought them. Now her car is 100% stock, so if you think it was my modified car, think again. We got the car home and I started to replace her rear brake pads, only to find that not 1 not 2 but 3 of her lug nuts were cross threaded. So badly that all three were seized and had to be broken off and replaced. Really? This isn't nascar guys, you can take the time to hand thread the lugs first. This could have resulted in a very unsafe situation had they broken while driving. Or had she gotten a flat somewhere on the side of the road, there's no way it could have been fixed leaving her stranded. I've had nothing but bad service and bad attitude over the years. Whether it be a snarky remark, or someone revving my car as loud as they can while pulling it into the service bay. Not all of your customers need your opinion or advice. Some of us would like to come in, tell you what we want and get it. I'm never going back to either location and I'd highly recommend you take your car to the locally owned tire store. I made an appointment which apparently makes no difference. My car was not attended to for over an hour past my appointment time. Apparently they purposely overbook and don't respect customers' time. Poor business model. Even the MVD didn't make me wait as long as this business did. I won't return. read more

Friendly, quick, helpful! Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either... Went here twice in two days during my road trip. First, I was going to have them re-balance my tires to squeeze a few more miles out of them. After they had them off the car, they saw that my tire wear was really bad, and thought balancing wouldn't help. They put them back on and sent me on my way with zero charges and free advice! Don't go here. I took in a nearly new pickup truck tire for a simple patch job. The tire had a nail hole in the tread and should have been a standard fix. I dropped the tire off and stopped to pick up the tire on my way home. After waiting for service while employees milled about, I was attended to and told that the "tire was unrepairable" as the hole was "too big" and was handed back a dismounted tire and rim. Now, I was born at night, but I wasn't born last night, and I knew that this was nonsense. I took my tire to Anderson General Tire in town and they happily patched it for me. Discount Tire could have easily fixed the tire, but were unwilling. They want to sell you a new tire. Don't be duped by their shady business practices! If they tell you need a new tire, take it some place else. Or better yet, go some place else in the first place. read more

Excellent service and the nicest possible people. I'll admit I don't leave many reviews but this place is wonderful enough it's the very least I can do. All the employees are ultra-friendly and ultra-professional. They make sure you are taken care of. The place can get a little chaotic with lines and ringing phones and stuff, but there's a reason everyone goes there, because they are simply the best. The best part is, generally you pay extra for such professional service, but in this case Discount Tire's prices seem very reasonable. Did a great job and didnt pay a dime, definitely would be back for any tire complications.

First, called to make an appointment and was told I had to make it online. Then made an appointment online for tire rotation specifically asked if I would be waiting or dropping off. I marked waiting and when I got there on time for my appointment was told it would be 45 minutes minimum likely longer. What is the point of an appointment if it will take this long for a simple tire rotation? Online should state length of time you'd be expected to wait if it's going to be that long. read more

Waited 40 minutes after my appointment before they even took the car back to the shop. After thirty five minutes I politely asked the guy how much longer and he was really snotty. He whips the computer around and points to it saying "look your up next". I had three kids with me who where all pretty much done, you think he could have been a little nicer. Once the car went into the back they quickly found and fixed the problem is with the balance that we expected. The guy from the shop was friendly and explained everything he did really well for me. Mostly just be aware an appointment means jack to these guys and if you ask they will treat you poorly. As for the work done the tires are better and I guess that's what really matters. read more
